What do you like best about Raintree Systems?

We’ve been using Raintree Systems as our EMR at Circle Creek Therapy since 2021, and it’s been an invaluable tool for managing our clinic’s operations. One of the standout features is the "Follow Ups" system for billing and troubleshooting. This feature has streamlined our billing process by allowing us to easily track unpaid claims, outstanding balances, and any issues that need attention. It helps ensure nothing gets overlooked, saving us time and reducing the stress of managing billing.

The system as a whole offers a robust set of tools that make scheduling, intake, and reporting efficient. The scheduling system is flexible, the intake process is smooth, and the reporting functionality provides great insights into both patient care and clinic performance. We especially appreciate the transparency and insights the reporting provides, making it easier to track productivity and outcomes.

On top of all the great features, Raintree’s customer support is fantastic. We’ve had the pleasure of working with Carrie Myers, and her support has been outstanding. She’s always been proactive, knowledgeable, and incredibly responsive, making a huge difference when we need troubleshooting or guidance.

What do you dislike about Raintree Systems?

While Raintree Systems has been a valuable tool for our clinic, there are a few areas that could be improved. One of the biggest drawbacks is the upcharging for new features. Some of these updates feel like basic enhancements that should be included as part of regular updates, rather than being treated as premium features that come at an additional cost. This can be frustrating, especially when the features seem essential for keeping the system up to date with current industry standards.

Another issue is the software's user interface. While functional, Raintree's design feels a bit dated—what I jokingly refer to as "Windows 95 chic." The interface isn’t as modern or streamlined as some of the newer software options available today. This can make the system feel less intuitive and harder to navigate, especially for new users who may be accustomed to more visually appealing and user-friendly systems.

Additionally, the implementation and onboarding process has been inconsistent. The support we’ve received during the onboarding phase has been minimal, and it hasn't always been clear or comprehensive. This creates a steeper learning curve for new staff, as there is no dedicated "Raintree Academy" or other structured training resources to guide users through the system. Instead, each individual company is left to develop its own training materials for every area and type of user. This approach adds unnecessary complexity to the process and can lead to confusion for new hires.

While Raintree certainly has its strengths, these downsides—particularly the extra charges for necessary features, outdated interface, and inconsistent onboarding and support—are things to consider for those looking for a more polished, modern, and user-friendly experience. What do you like best about Raintree Systems?

I like that the medical records print with the billing. I like that everything for each side of our company is in the file. I like the search feature to be able to do smart search for patient information and insurance information. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Raintree Systems?

I dislike not being able to make correction to files easily. For example, we are unable to change cases without doing an amendment. I don't like that you cannot have options when printing, for example printing a ledger with just charges only and show no payments. You can't do that unless you go into settings and set-up a profile to do so. I wish when we changed insurance carriers it would allow us to delete them instead of tracking them. I also wish we were allowed to enter carriers with the same address multiple times. I also wish the social updated to insurance field when you input the carrier information. What do you like best about Raintree Systems?

What do you dislike about Raintree Systems?

When we need to customize features to fit the specific needs of our clinic and the unique way our business operates, we often miss out on system updates that could improve those customizations. Additionally, every new feature seems to come with an added cost, which can be challenging for a nonprofit organization. As a long-standing and loyal customer, it would be helpful to have clearer communication about updates and more consideration for organizations like ours when it comes to pricing and access to new features. What do you like best about Raintree Systems?

Going from using Practice Perfect System to Raintree was an adjustment, but once I got used to the functionality for my job title, it became very easy to use. Any issues I've had, I've been able to get assistance from Raintree Support with no hesitation. My check ins are easy, leaving notes are easy, being able to access charts, add, delete documents, using the patient wallet, scheduling as a whole, sending documents by fax, etc all easy to do and minimal issues overall. What do you dislike about Raintree Systems?

For my job title, it's fine no real issues. But when helping Finance, we've had issue with posting payments, especially if we put a date of service. We've seen posting errors, charge offs with no explanation as to why, if the patient is using Vouchers sometimes that isn't processed correctly after we've done our part correctly. When Finance has been able to get help sometimes they've been helpful and other times our Finance department has had to jump through hoop to get assistance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like the ability to customize our experience for each of our entities based the unique requirements of each one. Whether it's custom fields or special reports, everything we need is provided. Once every thing is implemented, everything is very easy to use. Not to mention the system handles multiple users entering large amounts of information every day. What do you like best about Raintree Systems?

The database has a very old look and feel to it. There are so many different areas of settings that are needed to get things to function properly and there can be discrepancies in the settings, causing things to not work as desired. New features come at a cost, so eventually we'll be stuck with old functionality because costs keep going up but reimbursement in this industry keep going down.
