What do you like best about Carepatron?

This software is intuitive and easy to navigate, even for someone who typically struggles with other EHRs. It covers everything I need for my practice, including online bookings, client messaging, form creation and online completion, online payments, video conferencing, and billing. I am able to integrate my own forms, use pre-made templates, or create from scratch on the platform. Since I do not accept insurance, I haven't had the opportunity to try out that particular feature. Getting started and setting up the system was straightforward. So far, customer support has been excellent—I’ve used the AI assistant for a few simple questions and have also emailed support, always receiving a prompt response. I have been using this software daily in my private practice since I started with it six months ago. And it is very affordable - starting with a free option as I was just getting the practice set up and testing it out. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Carepatron?

Carepatron offers clients the ability to send "messages" as well as create "notes." In my opinion, this could be confusing for clients, since these are two different features that might appear similar at first glance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Carepatron?

CarePatron has been a game-changer for my practice from day one. As a small but growing business, I needed something that was powerful, simple, and affordable, and CarePatron has exceeded my expectations in every category. They make it easy to run a professional practice without feeling buried in technology or paperwork.

The video appointment feature is incredibly smooth. My clients receive clear links, sessions connect without headaches, and the layout is intuitive for both the provider and the client. I can move from my schedule to a video session in just a few clicks, and everything feels organized and steady. For clients who may not be tech savvy, this matters a lot, and CarePatron has made that part almost effortless.

Billing and invoicing are just as straightforward. Sending invoices takes only moments, and everything is clean, clear, and easy to track. The email system is simple to use and very professional, so clients receive what they need without confusion. Instant messaging inside the platform is another major win. I can quickly and securely touch base with clients, clarify details, or share updates, all in one place, without juggling a bunch of different apps.

One of the things I appreciate most is that CarePatron keeps improving the platform without punishing loyal customers. They continue to add features, refine the experience, and expand what the system can do, yet they honor the rate you start with. That level of integrity and respect is rare. It shows they are in this for long term relationships, not quick hits.

Their support team is outstanding. Any time I have a question, they are truly Johnny on the spot. Responses are fast, friendly, and actually helpful. You can tell they understand what it is like to run a real practice with real people, real schedules, and real pressure. They listen, they respond, and they fix things. That alone sets them apart.

For a smaller business that is growing in phases and being careful with every dollar, CarePatron is an ideal starting point and a very strong long-term partner. The platform is budget-friendly, thoughtfully designed, and built to grow with you. They support insurance workflows, make documentation easier, and keep everything in one place so you can focus on serving your clients instead of wrestling with systems.

In short, CarePatron is truly awesome. They make it easier to practice with excellence, to scale at a realistic pace, and to take good care of the people you serve. What do you dislike about Carepatron?

The only thing I dislike is a recent change in the calendar workflow. I used to be able to click directly on the client’s name in the calendar and go straight into the video appointment. About four weeks ago that changed, and now I have to click on the appointment, hit edit, then send, and only then can I get into the video session. It is not a deal breaker at all, but it does add extra steps to something that used to be very simple. If they bring back the ability to join the video call just by clicking the client’s name in the calendar, the experience would be absolutely perfect for me, because I truly love the rest of the program and how easy everything else is to use. I like that Carepatron offers accessibility to everyone, no matter what level of software you are using. With Carepatron, we have multiple users and don't need to buy a station for each user. It's accessible online, meaning I can check appointments immediately, even if I'm out of the office, over a weekend, or traveling. This online accessibility makes it easy to use the services regardless of how many people are involved. Additionally, their customer service is notably attentive and can help solve problems quickly. "Comprehensive EHR with User-Friendly Features"
What do you like best about Carepatron?

I use Carepatron for EHR in my private practice as a Licensed Professional Counselor. I really appreciate how it keeps everything in one place with automatic billing and appointment reminders. It's user-friendly and makes the initial setup quite easy. I also like the low prices because costs are a priority for me. The appointment reminders are great because they keep my schedule full by taking that responsibility off my plate. The synced calendars are a big plus, helping me out professionally and personally. What do you dislike about Carepatron?

I don't like that text reminders for clients aren't available because my clients prefer communicating via text rather than email. Also, adding a parent to a minor's account is a bit cumbersome since parents have to be added as a contact instead of being given access to the client portal directly. "Intuitive and Supportive, But Financials Need Refinement"
What do you like best about Carepatron?

I like that I can ask for help very easily if I run into an issue. It's very intuitive to use for the most part. Anytime I haven't been able to find the place I'm looking to change something, I have been able to use the chat feature to get very quick responses. What do you dislike about Carepatron?

I think the financial aspect could be more detailed. There are alerts telling me that I have un-invoiced amounts, but the amounts don't come from anywhere that I recognize. I wish there was a better way to keep track of billing. I find the layout a bit confusing, and there isn't an easy way to get a compensation report. As a self-employed person, these things are really helpful for reporting earnings and making sure my tax rates are being reported correctly. "Cost-Effective EHR with Some Usability Challenges"
What do you like best about Carepatron?

I appreciate Carepatron's affordable cost, which makes it feasible for me to maintain a private practice on the side. Carepatron is much more cost-effective for me, especially with my small caseload, and provides a secure EHR system. What do you dislike about Carepatron?

Billing has to be completed by me - in my previous EHR, there was auto pay and invoices were sent without any thought on my end. This has been a difficult adjustment for me. Additionally, billing for each client in Carepatron isn't organized well. Carepatron isn't very intuitive for a new user. I do appreciate that there was a video consult to help me get some things set up - I also used YouTube tutorials to help with some snags. Overall, more difficult to set up than SimplePractice. What do you like best about Carepatron?

I like that I can edit the templates, add different things to my calendar, the ease of adding more members to my team, and the cost. As a growing private practice, it is easy to save time. Because we provide home health and travel around to clients, it is helpful. Because we can serve more clients in our community. I don't know when a note is complete, and there's no option to color code them. The time of the session can't be pulled from the calendar into a note. I find the digital signature difficult to use. What do you like best about Carepatron?

I love the setup and how easy it is to navigate Carepatron. It connects with my calendars and allows me to add my team members easily. I like the community area where I can look up resources, documentation, forms, and the AI portion. The pricing is appealing as well. Carepatron has really great support and customer service, making it easy to reach out for guidance. I love the portal and the telehealth portion with the video feature included. What do you dislike about Carepatron?

I feel that the video telehealth feature needs to have other filters for the background versus just blurred. I feel that needs to be updated to where it's similar to how Zoom shows up in the professional setting. I also feel that another portion of it too is that virtual assistants or admin assistance should be free to use, versus adding them on and having them to have to pay a portion of it as a team member as they are only managing the calendars and scheduling.. Therapy appointments (a similar platform) has it free for admin assistants. Also, I feel that interns should be able to have a free amount of sessions using the platform under a new team-member. such as not exceeding 10 sessions a month for free, or be able to access it free or 1/2 off for 2 years as a team member using their university email address to sign up. That would help students/interns/future therapist to get familiar with it, and allow it to be their first choice as a licensed clinician. I also would like for it to send sms to clients to remind them of their appointments and to confirm or cancel 24 hours in advanced. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
