**What do you dislike about Paycom?**

I'm really frustrated with Paycom because it creates more problems than it solves. The system is buggy and things break randomly, so I'm always dealing with unexpected issues when staff come to me with problems. For instance, changes in employee profiles aren't automatically updated as you'd expect, leading to tons of extra work like manual corrections and internal audits. There's no test environment either, and it feels like features that could be really helpful are added too late. Plus, their support isn't great. I feel like we're paying a lot just to be part of their user experience team. It also doesn't integrate with any other tools, which is another big downside. Setting it up was a nightmare, especially since Paycom doesn't offer any on-site support to help you understand the system. Overall, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

**What problems is Paycom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Honestly, Paycom creates problems for me. It leads to random issues that I only discover when they occur, causing additional work like audits and communication with vendors. I spend a lot of time fixing issues and addressing staff concerns due to system inaccuracies.

**What do you like best about Paycom?**

Paycom has made timeclock and payroll processing more straightforward for us, and given our employees easier access to related documentation.

**What do you dislike about Paycom?**

Nearly everything else about the system is patently awful. We are a lean team and are in this tool every day, and we still cannot get it to work for our needs, which Paycom has been unresponsive to when we express that concern, to the point we are likely reverting to the tools we used before the implementation. In fact, during sales and implementation, we were told things that the system could do that it absolutely cannot do, and feel like we were sold vaporware.

This tool is at least 20 years behind the competition in this space, and is not terribly concerned with closing that gap. The ATS in particular is antiquated and possesses absolutely none of the features of a modern ATS. The UI is unintuitive and often takes 10 steps to do what can be done in two - I know because the three other tools I've used in the last five years can do it in two (or fewer).

The implementation was also concerning. I asked why we weren't running a parallel payroll with our old system before implementation and was told "that's not how we do it". Fortunately, we ran an off-cycle payroll before our main one to find the *dozens* of problems that would have surfaced in the main payroll. And when we flagged these, there was a total lack of urgency on Paycom's part. They wanted us to run the payroll and fix the problems after, but then we would not have been certain they were fixed before running our main payroll.

Support is responsive, but does not take the time to understand the core question before answering reflexively. And when they respond, you get the company line, not the solution to your problem.

**What problems is Paycom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Implementing Paycom has caused far more problems than it has solved, because it has - thus far - *solved* none, and created many.

**What do you like best about Paycom?**

I use Paycom for checking my schedule and payroll, and it's really useful for communicating with management and coworkers. It gives everyone a heads up about what's happening, so we're not left wondering about the next move. I find it very easy to use and understand, making communication with everyone smooth. I like how simple it is; you really only need to explain it once, and within a few taps, you know what to do. I also appreciate the ability to make company announcements, like for birthdays, which allows for widespread communication with anyone.

**What do you dislike about Paycom?**

The looks aspect of it could be a little better, but everything else worked fine. Very little help needed once I knew why tabs actually located

**What problems is Paycom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Paycom to check my schedule and payroll, communicate with management, and coordinate drop shifts. It gives everyone a heads up, reduces confusion about the next steps, and makes communication easy.

**What do you like best about Paycom?**

I really like how Paycom lets me log in as an employee and as a supervisor through separate accounts. I also like that I can find all of my company’s resources in Paycom whenever I have a question. If there’s something I need answered that I can’t find there, it lets me use the directory to locate the right HR person.

**What do you dislike about Paycom?**

The most disappointing part of Paycom for me is the lack of education and familiarity I personally have with the program itself. There are so many features and tools available to utilize, but I feel like the company I work for only chooses to use certain aspects of Paycom, which makes it harder for me to fully understand and take advantage of everything it offers.

**What problems is Paycom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Paycom helps me whenever I need to check what my time-off balances are. As a supervisor, it also helps me see who has overtime and who doesn’t, which makes it easier to schedule the shifts I need.

**What do you like best about Paycom?**

Paycom offers a wide range of features, depending on which products you need to use. At our company, we transitioned to this system for scheduling, applicant tracking, and also for invoicing and payroll.

**What do you dislike about Paycom?**

Paycom is a cookie-cutter platform, and it can be difficult to tailor for certain companies that need more advanced settings and reporting. This can be challenging and may require a workaround, which takes extra time out of someone’s daily workday just to generate a report that should only take seconds. The metrics can also be skewed at times, and it can take a while for your account rep to respond or fully resolve the issue. I use this system daily, and the integration is still not up to standard. I wouldn't say it's easy to use, since you have to navigate multiple screens to find what you need. Also, the implementation was very quick, so they can start billing. Overall, i wouldnt suggest this system

**What problems is Paycom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our company was looking for a consolidated system to support onboarding, training, applicant tracking, scheduling, time cards, and billing and invoicing. We transitioned to this system, but it’s still a nightmare to use.

Easy access and reminders, Instead of juggling multiple systems, Paycom consolidates payroll, HR, time tracking, benefits, and talent management into a single interface. That reduces data duplication and administrative overhead. A key differentiator is its employee self-service model (like Beti®), which allows employees to manage and even verify their own payroll before submission—this can significantly reduce errors and back-and-forth corrections.

From an operational standpoint, the platform’s real-time data synchronization is valuable—changes made in one module (e.g., timekeeping) immediately reflect in payroll and reporting. That tight integration supports compliance and improves data integrity.

**What do you dislike about Paycom?**

Overall, I like Paycom’s comprehensive platform, but one area that can be challenging is the initial learning curve for new users because of all the features available. I see this as an opportunity, though, because with training and support, users can quickly become proficient and take full advantage of the system.

What I like best about Paycom is that it brings many HR functions into one system, which makes tasks like timekeeping, payroll, and employee information easier to manage. I also appreciate how user‑friendly the platform is and that it allows employees to access and update their own information, which helps streamline processes and reduce errors.

**What do you dislike about Paycom?**

One thing I like least about Paycom is that some features can feel less intuitive and may require extra steps to complete simple tasks. At times, system updates or changes to workflows are not always clearly communicated, which can be frustrating. Additionally, the system can feel rigid, with limited flexibility for customization in certain areas.

**What do you like best about Paycom?**

As a user, I like having visibility to everything from my PTO to my check stubs, etc.  As an administrative user, this program has saved me countless hours because everything is in one system and we are no longer moving data around everywhere.  The other thing that I call out every time a colleague asks me about Paycom is the support.  Our support team is top notch!  They make sure we know how to optimize the platform and anytime we have an issue, they are just a phone call away.  They are super friendly and super helpful!

**What do you dislike about Paycom?**

The billing.  A lot of the prices we get quoted are based on number of checks or number of payrolls and while that makes sense for some services and modules, we simply cannot justify it for other services and modules.  It would be nice to have other options for some of that stuff and we would utilize more of your services.

**What problems is Paycom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our data is much more valid because it is not being moved all of the place.  If you change one thing, it updates everything else.  We also love the self-onboarding.  It has freed up that first day to spend time with the employee on more important things than paperwork.

Paycom has been a game-changer for our HR and payroll processes. The single-database platform means no more double data entry or syncing issues between modules, everything from time tracking and employee self-service to onboarding, benefits administration, and automated payroll just flows seamlessly.

**What do you dislike about Paycom?**

Nothing comes to mind other than. Occasional Technical Issues Glitches with benefits administration, tax filing/adjustments, arrears, or specific compliance scenarios.
Slow performance with large datasets or frequent minor updates that require repeated training/webinars.
Rare but serious complaints about incorrect reports or payroll/tax handling errors.

**What problems is Paycom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Paycom primarily solves the biggest pain points in traditional HR and payroll management: fragmented systems, manual data entry, payroll errors, and heavy administrative burden on HR teams.
Before Paycom, many organizations juggle multiple disconnected tools for payroll, time tracking, benefits, onboarding, and reporting. This leads to duplicate data entry, inconsistent information, inaccurate workforce reports, compliance risks, and a lot of time wasted on corrections (like fixing paychecks after they've already run). Payroll errors alone can be costly and frustrating for both employees and employers.
Paycom addresses this with its truly single-database platform that brings everything together, payroll, HR, talent management, time and attendance, benefits administration, and more, into one seamless system. No more syncing issues or hunting for data across apps.

  ### 10. Payroll App That Doesn’t Make Me Pull My Hair Out!

**What do you like best about Paycom?**

I’ve used a lot of different HR portals at past jobs, and most of them felt like they were designed in the 90s. Switching to Paycom has been a total game-changer for me as an employee. It’s the first time I actually feel like I’m in control of my own info instead of having to email HR for every little thing.

Everything is Just… Easy (Great UI!)

The Paycom mobile app is super slick. I can clock in, request PTO, and check my benefits in about thirty seconds. The UI is incredibly intuitive—everything is exactly where you’d expect it to be. I didn't even need a manual to figure it out; it’s as easy to use as any social media app on my phone.

I Love the 'What-If' Scenarios

My favorite feature by far is being able to run pay scenarios. Before I decide to put more into my 401(k) or change my tax withholdings, I can actually see exactly how it will affect my take-home pay. It takes the guesswork out of my finances because I can 'preview' my check before the changes are even live. It’s like having a crystal ball for my bank account!

Direct Access to My Own Data

The self-service reporting is also a huge plus. If I need a copy of a past W-2 or want to see a summary of my hours for the month, I can just pull it myself in the app. I don't have to wait three days for a response from the front office. Between that and the Beti® payroll setup, I get to review and approve my own check before it’s even sent, so I know it’s right every single Friday.

Honestly, if you're an employee and your company uses Paycom, consider yourself lucky. It just makes life easier.
