I like being able to do everything in one system, along with the connections to other platforms. There are many different ways to get to the same item for various tasks/documents in the system. However, for items such as the offer letter, the only way to review it is from the candidate page. This should also flow through to the employee’s documents. What problems is Paycom solving and how is that benefiting you? Our payroll process is fully completed through the Paycom system. Being able to edit and adjust earnings and deductions each payroll run is very helpful, especially since we often need to deduct accidental charges made on credit cards. The new interface from the update this past month was amazing! I like that we can now customize what widgets you often use more and make them easily accessible. I use to take a lot of time navigating through the main page to do a task but now its easy to get to the parts I work with on my role. PAFs, Audit reports. Attesting to voluntarily skipped lunches can be a bit of a hassle. It's weird that it's on the "read only" time sheet, and not the main time sheet. It would be nice to make it so if it is EXACTLY 6 hours or less, that we can write it off. I've clocked out for exactly 6 hours, and it wouldn't let me do it. As far as I can tell, the 6 hour mark is when it doesn't allow you to write off the lunch without having to go through a laborious process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. I like that Paycom allows our team to manage nearly every aspect of HR from one platform while reducing administrative burden through automation and self-service. The platform's flexibility to build custom reports is super helpful in auditing and reviewing data. I also appreciate the client action center, which allows me to manage my taxes with ease. The customer service is another standout; my support team feels like friends, always willing to help and caring about me as more than just a client. The applicant tracking system in Paycom could be improved. We recruit doctors who often avoid filling out applications, making us rely on sourcing. The mobile app is easy to use, making it simple to clock in and out, check my schedule, and stay organized whether I'm at work or on the go. While Paycom has many strengths, there are a few drawbacks that some employees and managers experience: Learning curve: New users may find the system overwhelming because it includes many features and menus. Mobile app limitations: Although the app is convenient, some tasks are easier to complete on a desktop computer. Navigation: Finding certain forms or reports can sometimes require several clicks. Timekeeping issues: If an employee forgets to clock in or out, correcting time punches may require manager approval and can take extra time. Notifications: Some users receive a large number of reminders or alerts, which can become overwhelming. Performance: The platform may occasionally load slowly or experience delays during peak payroll periods. Limited customization: Some workflows and reports may not be as flexible as organizations would like. Manager workload: Because employees complete many HR tasks themselves, managers may spend additional time reviewing and approving requests. Training needs: Organizations often need to provide training so employees can take full advantage of all of Paycom's features. Paycom solves the problem of having multiple systems for payroll, timekeeping, benefits, and HR by bringing everything together in one platform. Instead of contacting HR for pay stubs, tax forms, or time-off requests, I can access and manage those items myself whenever I need them. This benefits me by saving time, reducing paperwork, and making it easier to stay organized. I can quickly review my hours, submit leave requests, update my personal information, and access important employment documents from my computer or phone. Paycom is a comprehensive solution with the ability to help employees and supervisors. The new AI widget has also made it easier to find support and understand the information you are looking at. The biggest issue I have found with Paycom is the Time Clock application. While trying to run a Time Clock kiosk on an iPad, it can be difficult to setup based on how Paycom requires a link to authenticate, then the active link changes. With Paycom being a single solution that covers everything from the Candidate Search to the Employee leaving, Paycom helps solve many issues. One thing that has really helped us is that Paycom is an easy and quick way for students to manage their working hours. Allowing the students, and full time staff, the ability to clock in and out from mobile devices as well as a computer really makes sure that we have accurate time management. Paycom has a structured way of handling the essential functions of an employees time card, documents, benefits, and continued learning and training that is necessary for the operations of most companies. Like needing to approve our time cards and it wasn't exactly an obvious tab or link to click on to complete the task. I also had a hard time with the constant reminders. Although I do find it important and dedicated to those that need helpful reminders, I found it to be a bit overkill, because not only would my phone get a push notification, I would receive an email as well. As an employee user. It tracks my clock in and out and lunch times perfectly. I love that my PTO is listed I can see when I used them and how much time I have left. The same for my sick time. I really appreciate the full service payroll provided by Paycom, as it's probably the top feature for us. We use it for HR and payroll, and it effectively takes away many manual tasks. I like that we have a great client rep who is very helpful. The payroll suite and applicant tracking are valuable tools because they streamline our processes. What do you dislike about Paycom? I wish for several site improvements, like an easier position management tool. Right now, it's very hard to explain to others in my department how it works and it just seems clunky. I wish there was an easy way to vacate a seat or remove someone from the org chart.
