I love the web timesheet feature on Paycom. It really helps me a lot because I can see and compare my daily work numbers. it helps me a lot to track my hours with microsoft teams very helpfulIt allows me to square and round the numbers and even shows detailed seconds in my overtime work, which is great. It's challenging to add or submit a request. There has been a shift in the past month or so for the direction of paycom, the UI, the performance, and in some ways, their support. Lately, I have been please to have additional experts assigned to our account to help us with larger projects and listen to our concerns with the software. I find the new hire queue to be functional and the setup of positions, new hire templates, and some communication templates to be easy to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Paycom? Paycom's functionality is lacking in most areas compared to other systems. Checks and balances are not usable in real life scenarios, there are so many clicks, the system is disorganized, reporting is lacking, and I also wonder if our dedicated rep is looking out for us in all the ways that they could be, especially when they are provided with feedback. Overall, the system lacks clarity and organization and is missing items that I feel like should be a core feature in an HRIS. They recently rolled out a new feature that my team was excited for and it was riddled with bugs. The QA before rolling it out live is troubling, especially when you feel like you are getting charged to test their product. I also hate that I have to lean on one rep for help. I would love to have access to community forums or better admin resource guides, and perhaps have a bigger team of people to help so that we can hear other perspectives. I feel like all changes have to go through our rep, where I would like to opportunity to dig in from time to time. I dont like the new look either. What do you dislike about Paycom? Unfortunately, the customer service experience leaves a lot to be desired. It's been difficult to maintain continuity with dedicated specialists, and when issues arise, there's often a lack of accountability from team leads. This has made escalations and problem resolution more frustrating than they should be. It is not conducive to employers in the tech sector that often hire folks on visas. The tax profiles are not setup to accommodate NRA exceptions and take 1.5 years to find a resolution that isn't a workaround with Prior Period Adjustments (PRAs) that they demand you pay for even though it was their error. Our dedicated Paycom account manager is the best part of Paycom. Kody is incredibly quick to respond to all of our questions and concerns via email. He's also very willing to jump into a call with us to walk us through a process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Paycom? I dislike the user interface as a whole. The menu is incredibly condensed and hard to navigate, making it difficult to locate exactly what section you're looking for. Also, some modules are nested under menu items that make little to no sense. For example, the benefits administration falls under the "Human Resources" tab. Paycom is going to implement a 360 EDI for carrier file feeds in the coming weeks. This is going to allow out insurance carrier changes to flow back to Paycom seamlessly. The same goes for 401k. Now, if an employee updates their contribution rate with our 401k recordkeeper, their payroll deduction will automatically update - saving our HR team time that would have been spent on more admin work. As an administrator, it is very difficult and unintuitive to make adjustments on the backend. I also feel their system is lacking in automation capabilities compared to some of their competitors. I do appreciate having a dedicated service contact, but our previous support person really did not seem to know the system very well.
