**What do you like best about Paycom?**

I think the interface of Paycom is pretty user-friendly. I also find the paths in the system to be really helpful, especially when making changes, as they allow us to change a lot of information in one space. This feature has been really helpful for keeping our information and data accurate.

**What do you dislike about Paycom?**

There's some elements of Paycom that aren't as customizable as we would like them, like performance management where you have to do a pretty robust performance review and we've had to do several workarounds to make that work for us. I wasn't here for the initial setup, but they didn't do a very good job, and we had to fix a lot of things when I onboarded.

**What problems is Paycom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Paycom for timekeeping, payroll, and benefits administration, keeping our data accurate with helpful system paths.

**What do you like best about Paycom?**

Easy to navigate the site so I can find the information I need quickly.  As an older employee, some of us aren't as tech savvy as the younger people and it sucks to have to ask how to do something that should be easy.

**What do you dislike about Paycom?**

It's not necessarily Paycom but several of us can't punch in until we are all the way into the building and have reached our desk or workspace-and even then sometimes it's an issue.  I think that has more to do with internet or possibly the coverage area of the building site?  You can be in the building and try to punch in and it'll say something about not recognizing this device even tho it's the same phones we use every time.

**What problems is Paycom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's nice to see the amount of my check a few days early and to see where deposits are going each time.  Example:  I have my basic deposit and also send money to a different account for savings in another bank.

**What do you like best about Paycom?**

What I Iike best about Paycom is how streamlined the entire process of payroll is. From the timecard clock-in and outs to payroll processing and benefits management, it is a complete package in one. I also appreciate the excellent customer service.

**What do you dislike about Paycom?**

The one downside I can think of is that finding the right report is sometimes difficult. Usually we have to create new ones because we are unsure of the ones that are available. When creating new reports we also don't really know all of the sections to pick from and what areas they are pulling from in Paycom. It would be helpful to have a training on the reporting capabilities.

**What problems is Paycom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I feel that it has solved human error on the timesheets, benefits, deductions and in the payroll processing. We used to do all this by hand. A lot of our old processes are now automated which frees up our working time to do other things.

**What do you like best about Paycom?**

Paycom is exceptional and truly streamlines the entire employee life cycle, from recruitment and onboarding to payroll and performance management. When we first started with Paycom I thought the implementation would be hard, but we had all the support needed! Customer service is very responsive, and made the integration very simple.

**What do you dislike about Paycom?**

I honestly haven't found anything I dislike about Paycom.

**What problems is Paycom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before employees used to come to our Business Office very often to obtain information related to HR processes. With Paycom employees have the tools to manage their own information, such as updating personal data, requesting time off, and accessing pay stubs. They have also mentioned the system is user friendly, and love the Paycom app!

**What do you like best about Paycom?**

I’ve been using Paycom for payroll and overall it’s been a solid experience. One feature that really stands out is Beti (Better Employee Transaction Interface). It puts payroll in the hands of employees, allowing them to review and approve their own paychecks before payroll is finalized. That added layer of transparency helps reduce errors and gives me more confidence that everything is accurate each pay period.

The app itself is fairly user friendly, with easy access to pay stubs, tax documents, and time-off requests. I also like that everything is centralized, so I don’t have to switch between multiple systems.

That said, there are occasional glitches and the interface can feel a bit clunky at times, especially when navigating between different sections. Some processes could be more streamlined.

Overall, Paycom does a great job simplifying payroll management, and Beti is a standout feature that really improves accuracy and accountability.

**What do you dislike about Paycom?**

Reporting center needs a little more work when trying to create a repot.

**What problems is Paycom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One of the biggest ways Paycom especially with Beti (Better Employee Transaction Interface) helps with problem solving is by catching issues before they become real problems.

With Beti, employees review and approve their own paychecks before payroll is processed. This shifts error detection earlier in the process. Instead of payroll mistakes being discovered after the fact (which can take time to fix), things like incorrect hours, missing PTO, or tax discrepancies can be identified and corrected right away.

It also improves communication. Rather than going back and forth between HR, managers, and employees after payroll runs, everyone is involved upfront. This reduces confusion and speeds up resolution when something looks off.

Another benefit is accountability. Employees take ownership of their own payroll data, which leads to fewer mistakes overall and less reliance on HR to catch every detail.

Finally, having everything in one system makes it easier to track and resolve issues quickly. You can see time entries, pay details, and history in one place, which helps when investigating discrepancies.

Overall, Beti turns payroll from a reactive process into a proactive one, making problem solving faster, clearer, and more efficient.

The user interface is great. It's easy to find what I'm looking for and having data at my fingertips is extremely helpful.

**What do you dislike about Paycom?**

I can't think of anything. I honestly wish all of my previous companies would've had a system like this. I like being able to help myself, and this system allows me to do that.

**What problems is Paycom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's easy to clock in and out. I'm a remote worker and therefore required to clock in and out. I appreciate the ease of which I can do that.
I love seeing my paycheck details and having the ability to approve it. This helps me confirm I'm being paid correctly.
The learning module is easy to use and helps me complete the required organizational training.
When it comes to benefits, signing up for and managing them is easy. 
Access to everything I need in one place makes my life easier and helps me save time.

**What do you like best about Paycom?**

Your timecard is YOURS to manage & fix. No relying on your boss to make that time edit. You make the edits, you track your timecard accuracy, you submit your hours. I've also been a manager who had to make all those time edits. So, Bosses no more being worried that you screwed up an edit and shorted someone hours they worked. It's an employee's job to submit their hours correctly, why not let them! All time edits must be approved if submitted by the employee, but it's as simple as Approved edit or not approved.

**What do you dislike about Paycom?**

I can't say there is really anything I don't like as a user, it's a simple system to use with a lot of complex functions/features I have never seen before and find quite useful. If you do make a mistake on your timecard like forgetting to clock back in from lunch, it will give quite a few notifications and can be annoying. I'm not sure that that's a "bad" thing though.

**What problems is Paycom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's MY timecard. I always worry about my boss forgetting to edit or screwing up my paycheck. I don't have that worry anymore, if my paycheck is wrong, I have no one to blame but myself for not doing my timecard correctly. I think every employee's fear is not getting paid correctly, so let us "pay" ourselves the Paycom way.

I appreciate that Paycom is user-friendly for our staff and easy to customize for our organization. We have a very unique organizational setup, and it's great that we can tailor Paycom to meet our specific needs.

The system is constantly being updated, but I feel there isn't sufficient training or notifications regarding these changes. Additionally, I wish they would conduct system audits with us more frequently to ensure we are fully utilizing the updates and getting the most out of the products.

"Make Employee Changes" is the only way to really see someone's full profile. I do not want to have to be editing someone's account if I need to find data.

I dislike the amount of reps we have had to go through. I feel like right when we start moving smoothly, a new rep is assigned and we have to start over.

I love everything about Paycom. I highly recommend them for anyone who is lookking for a good payroll servicing. I use it every day for what I do. It is userfriendly and when I am in need of assistance, I just call paycom and I have a dedicated team of support to assist me. They have good options to run reports and very easy to locate things.

**What do you dislike about Paycom?**

I don't have any dislikes with Paycom, in fact, I highly recommend this system if you are looking for a good payroll processing. They are way better than ADP!

Again, I have not crossed any problems with Paycom nor are they having any issues. This benefits me because I know that they are a good company if they have less issues, which also means that they are a structured company.

The AI “iWant” feature is helpful. I also like that it lets my company, which works with multiple agencies, handle both timesheets and payroll in a single piece of software. Support has been helpful as well.

Some of the system’s basic functionality can be annoying at times, like having to set up certain custom fields just to override the position part.

Honestly, there isn’t anything I dislike about Paycom. Our experience has been very positive overall. The platform is easy to use, reliable, and continues to meet our needs effectively. Any questions we’ve had have been addressed quickly, so we haven’t run into any real issues.

I love how easy Paycom is to use and how there are so many tools inside to help you figure out exactly what you need. I always get great help and support from our Paycom specialist with anything I need. The new AI features help alot with quick fixes and advice.

The only dislike I have is how there are so features missing that would be very helpful within our organization.

everyting I need for work and regarding my paycheck all in one spot

**What do you dislike about Paycom?**

The redundancy of punching in and out- it is tedious to "add punch pair." I should be able to "Add punch pair" and enter my time in, time for lunch and time out in ONE step. As it is.. you click on "add punch pair" and you have to enter time in and out and THEN "add punch pair" and do it again with the drop down menu for lunch. If I am back dating my time card this is incredibly TEDIOUS and wasteful as I have to keep clicking on the date I am going  back to for time in, time out, and lunch! Everyone complains about it but nothing has changed.

**What do you like best about Paycom?**

I like how Paycom puts all of my needs in one location, making it very convenient. The AI helper is great because I can ask it anything, and it automatically takes me to where I need to be, which really helps with my questions. When I'm clocking in, the mobile app shows it as the first thing, which makes getting into work very easy. I also appreciate the integrated pay change feature, which shows me the differences in where my pay is and how it's different, including taxes or deductions. The initial setup was incredibly easy, and my company got tools to check on my progress.

Nothing its amazing

**What do you like best about Paycom?**

What I like best about Paycom is its employee-driven, single-platform structure. The self-service model reduces manual payroll intervention, improves data accuracy at the source, and keeps HR, payroll, time, and benefits fully integrated—so I can see payroll impacts and compliance in real time without relying on multiple systems or reconciliation workarounds.

**What do you dislike about Paycom?**

The biggest challenges have been execution, transparency, and the overall support experience rather than the core software itself. Requests are often discussed in meetings but not reliably carried through to completion, resulting in unnecessary meetings that do not lead to resolution and requiring significant customer follow-up to move issues forward. Billing transparency is limited, making independent validation and internal governance difficult. There have also been instances where agenda items were promised but not included, pricing meetings were scheduled and then canceled without rescheduling, and administrative penalties (such as late fees tied to timing nuances) were applied in ways that felt disproportionate to the situation.

Cost is also high relative to the functionality we use. For example, we do not utilize Paycom for time and attendance, yet overall pricing remains difficult to justify compared to the value delivered. Taken together, the total cost of the platform does not consistently align with the level of execution, transparency, and support provided.

**What problems is Paycom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Paycom provides a centralized platform for core payroll and HR data, which helps reduce fragmentation between systems and supports consistent recordkeeping. Routine payroll processing is generally reliable once configured, and having employee information, payroll history, and compliance-related reporting in a single system simplifies certain administrative and audit preparation tasks.

The primary benefit is operational consolidation—maintaining core payroll and HR functions in one environment rather than coordinating across multiple disconnected tools. This can reduce manual data movement and support baseline compliance and reporting needs for a mid-sized organization.

It is easy to use and understand. I can log on and view all aspects of my time card, pay, PTO, and the alerts are timely and thorough. I always know when I need to turn in my time, and I always know when I can view my paycheck.

Sometimes it is difficult to enter the time on the timecard from outside devices.

My favorite aspect of Paycom is the ability to manage the full employee lifecycle in one place. From recruiting and onboarding to payroll, benefits, and terminations, everything connects, which helps with compliance, minimizes errors, and saves a tremendous amount of time.

**What do you dislike about Paycom?**

One challenge with Paycom is that because it’s such a comprehensive system, there can be a steep learning curve for new users. Some processes, like navigating certain reports or updates, can take time to master. That said, once you’re familiar with it, the efficiency gains are significant.

**What problems is Paycom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Paycom solves several key challenges for us. It centralizes all HR processes—from recruiting and background checks to onboarding, payroll, benefits, PAFs, and terminations—into a single platform. This eliminates duplicate data entry, reduces errors, and ensures consistency across the employee lifecycle. The benefit is significant time savings for HR and a smoother, more professional experience for employees.

The pricing is comparable, although some features are expensive add ons, the implementation and onboarding was smooth with some delays but nothing major. The integrations with systems like Jira/ salesforce needed to much work not leading to fruition. The new iwant (ai) makes finding things a lot easier.

I like being able to access Paycom easily from my mobile device and handle problems efficiently when needed. Paycom has a very intuitive system that is easy to use. The app offers me to use Paycom as a manager on my phone, so if I am not by my computer, I can still reach out to employees and make sure questions are answered. Additionally, the experience with Paycom has been great because we have a designated team for implementation and then get transferred to a full-time team. The Paycom employees are stellar, and we always receive help in a timely manner to complete tasks.

Title: One of the Most Overengineered and Costly Payroll Platforms We’ve Used

Paycom turned what should be a straightforward payroll process into a time-consuming, expensive, and frustrating experience. The platform is unnecessarily complex, unintuitive, and clearly built around Paycom’s internal structure rather than customer efficiency.

Instead of saving time or reducing cost, Paycom significantly increased both. Routine payroll tasks required excessive steps, constant oversight, and avoidable administrative effort. What was positioned as a modern, all-in-one solution functioned more like a system that demands full-time attention just to keep payroll running correctly.

Pricing was quoted based on a weekly payroll assumption, yet the agreement itself does not clearly restrict payroll frequency. Despite this, any attempt to reduce cost or simplify operations exposed how rigid and inefficient the system truly is. The effort required to make basic operational adjustments was disproportionate and unreasonable.

The contrast became obvious immediately after switching to another payroll provider with comparable features. Payroll that previously took unnecessary time, effort, and explanation became simple, fast, and intuitive — highlighting just how overcomplicated Paycom is by design.

Paycom may be tolerable for very large organizations with dedicated payroll teams and high tolerance for complexity. For companies seeking clarity, efficiency, and cost control, this platform delivered the opposite and proved to be a costly mistake.

The website is pretty easily navigable. It has many useful functions for tracking my time, pay and goals. The site makes it easy to request changes to time cards, personal information, and PTO, while also making it simple to see available PTO and giving a calculator for future expected PTO.

Some functions could be implemented better or be made easier to understand. The goals system is a great example. The function is useful but the math around the percentage each goal accounts for never seems to add up properly.

To be honest there really isn't anything I dislike about Paycom.  I would make one slight change with the Push Reporting feature. **What do you like best about Paycom?**

Having an assigned Payroll Specialist has been a great benefit. The representative assigned to our company is wonderful. She consistently goes above and beyond whenever we need something. Her customer service excels, and even if she is not available, there is always someone else on her team who is happy to help. The efficiency and level of service are excellent.

In addition, Paycom offers multiple features that make the platform user-friendly and simplify our processes. I use the platform almost every day, and I am very happy with it.

**What do you dislike about Paycom?**

Probably the reporting options. Don't get me wrong, the reports in Paycom are great, and even if you can’t find one that already meets your needs, the Report Writer is available. However, if you are a new user or you are looking for something outside of your usual reports, it may take some time to find the right setup for the report(s) you need.

**What problems is Paycom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Paycom simplifies payroll by keeping all the information and processes in one place. It saves me time, reduces mistakes, and makes payroll much easier to manage.

**What do you like best about Paycom?**

I appreciate Paycom as an all-in-one platform, which greatly simplifies HR and payroll processes by consolidating multiple functions such as payroll, benefits, time tracking, and performance management in one place. This integration is a significant time saver and boosts efficiency and accuracy, leading to better employee engagement. The employee self-service portal is another feature I value highly, as it empowers staff by allowing them to manage their own information, access pay stubs, and complete onboarding tasks without needing HR staff intervention. This autonomy not only streamlines processes but also reduces the workload on HR teams. Additionally, the ease of setup with Paycom was impressive, thanks to the supportive team members who were always available to provide assistance via call or email, ensuring a smooth transition.

I find the complexity of Paycom's interface challenging because it's such a robust system. Navigating through all the features can be overwhelming, especially for new users who are not tech-savvy.

**What do you like best about Paycom?**

Everything can be done online without having to reach out to HR for assistance.  You can access tax information, payroll sheets and even log on from your personal phone.  I also like to occassional training webinars that are provided.

**What do you dislike about Paycom?**

The only bad encounter I have had with Paycom thus far is the punches.  I thought I had clocked out and when I went to clock in the next day, I had to wait until the punch reset before I could clock out to clock back in.  It was very confusing.

**What problems is Paycom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Again, I like the fact that I can now clock in, approve checks, review benefits, request and change tax information from my cell phone.  Everything is so much more convenient.

**What do you like best about Paycom?**

There are a lot of great tools in Paycom, and because of that it can be pretty complicated to handle sometimes. However, I never have felt hung out to dry by the support team - any time I call with a question, someone answers the phone who is able to access my company's profile and walk me through the steps to accomplish whatever I'm trying to do. If the issue is very complicated and they need to elevate it, I always receive a quick follow-up.

**What do you dislike about Paycom?**

I have not really experienced any downside so far.

Making payroll and HR more efficient and manageable.

**What do you like best about Paycom?**

I like how I can update my time card and give my back office team a deadline for approval. I also like how easy it is to cash out PTO.

**What do you dislike about Paycom?**

I think Paycom could improve on hour editing. Yesterday, I had an issue with my lunch and I couldn't figure out what happened even after editing my shift.

**What problems is Paycom solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Payroll is a lot more transparent, and I don't have to worry about my hours being messed up and having to email many people to fix it.
