What do you like best?

As a Human Resources employee, I found that Paylocity has simplified my role through multiple different modules. I find that the search tool through HR & Payroll is easy to use when I need to quickly lookup an employee's profile/salary/and direct reports. A feature that I also enjoy is the customization of forms for example in Performance Management. It enabled our organization to edit the forms that adapted to the paper forms that we previously used. The best feature within Performance Management is the filter and the dashboard. I find it very helpful when an employee needs a status update and I am able to quickly find them through the filter feature and see which status it is in and who touched the review last. The Recruiting & Onboarding module is the most actively used in our HR team and has tremendously increased the amount of RECs we receive and have hired more employees through Paylocity. It keeps the recruiters organized and structured throughout the recruiter's lifecycle. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

Some of the issues that occur in Paylocity are connectivity issues. The site will freeze up and abruptly have errors when clicking onto a new page. That can be frustrating at times, not only for the HR team but for all employees. The notification system is the biggest pain point within the organization. I will receive emails from employees who complain about the notifications that seem to be broad about what is being asked of them. The notification system in Performance Management does not notify the employee or the reviewer of the next steps, such as when the review has been completed or signed. A feature that I would like to see happen within Performance Management is to allow for multiple reviewers on the review instead of one. Our organization has a couple of departments that require two or more reviewers and it's difficult to manage to reassign the review to each reviewer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

The biggest problem that was solved with Paylocity is through Payroll. Our Accounting & Finance team were previously using Quickbooks. Paylocity allowed these teams to effectively and efficiently send out payroll on time and track reports with ease. Paylocity allows for employees to manually set up their direct deposit, W4, and all other tax-related information at any time. Payroll can then go in and approve the changes and reach out to the employees if there were any issues. Before Paylocity, Payroll would have to send out the paystubs via email, and sometimes those got lost in the email black hole, now employees can view their paystubs at any time, or anywhere and download them when needed. What do you like best?

I've been using Quickbooks for my content marketing business for the past 3 years. It's intuitive, easy to understand, and helps me stay on top of my business income, expenses, and estimated taxes. I really appreciate the fact that it estimates my quarterly tax payments. Saves me a lot of time every quarter. It's very simple to categorize my expenses. And I love the invoicing feature. What do you dislike?

A couple downsides: the estimated tax payments tend to skew too big every quarter. I appreciate the fact that they are not too small, but I wish they were more accurate. Also wish that the software could give me an estimation for state taxes — I have to do this manually myself. I also recently ran into an issue where I was locked out of my QB account for no reason and had to pay for a subscription to get back in. That was a pain. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

A simple user interface that is similar to most of the other software out there making it feel familiar and easy to navigate. The timesheet app is really great, you can configure and fill your week time in a row, add new rows and add detailed descriptions to each cell, making it really flexible and simple. The only issue is that I kind of dislike the amount of clicks I have to do to reach certain app or page, I understand though that this "hub" of productivity software is really feature complete and some kind of complexity must come with it. “BigTime is the Way to Go”
What do you like best?

I love how user friendly this program is. We recently switched from WorkBook and I don't ever want to look back because of how difficult it was. BigTime is well organized, I LOVE that I can save things or undo things in a simple click.

I'm still new to using it, but I must say one of my favorite things is probably the connection between BigTime and Quickbooks. I work a lot with Quickbooks, and the fact that things are linked and I can simply click "sync" and information transfers between the two means less duplicate entry work for me, and much less margin for error. I don't mind doing the work in any way, but this has already been incredibly helpful already in alleviating more time for the rest of my tasks.

Also, the fact that they have a live chat for customer service is amazing. And when they're not live, they'll answer you via email very quickly. That is so essential to me because sometimes I can't wait a week for an answer like I have with other programs in the past. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

So far I haven't found much I have disliked about the software. I will say that I wish we could customize some of the categories. It will take some time but "Activity" from our previous software means something completely different than "Activity" in BigTime. The biggest problem I think that has been solved for my workday is probably the amount of time I save on being able to sync things between BigTime and Quickbooks. Don't over engineer a single dashboard with a lot of stuff, It might get slower and the load time seems to vary in different computers. Instead, you can do a lot of dashboard related to the same topic/business problem and glue them with a Category in common.

The auto-tracking time and their native desktop apps were the best. I can be juggling between projects without the worry of losing any second to bill my clients. At the time where I just using Timely, I need to spend some more penny to get the recurring budget feature. My agency is still a one-person business so I don't need the team feature to be included in the package. After giving some feedback to them they give me a very fast response and quickly change their subscription package to what I need. In my 20+ year of BI and analytics career, I have been using almost all major products in the market. Qlik Sense comes out as a sure winner to me. It covers the full spectrum of data and BI and is flexible to work with other data solutions I had. The best feature I like is its ease of development and its associative engine. I can have a complicated dashboards up and running in an hour or less. No other BI solutions can beat this benchmark today. If I am tasked to deliver a BI solution to any company, Qlik Sense is my best tool to make the delivery happen with the minimal amount of effort and resource. “Excellent tool for data driven technical people”
What do you like best?

There are a few things that make me really enjoy my experience with Mode being a Data Analyst.

1. The ability to write python scripts from data queried using SQL is excellent. I can do more in depth analyses using packages like pandas or numpy and have tables or graphs in the report builder.

2. I really enjoy the interface of the report builder in Mode. It makes storytelling w/ data easy and visually appealing to my audience.

3. The free version (which I'm currently using) is an excellent starting point for data needs. While some key features are missing, I could definitely see myself upgrading to the paid version once the company I am working for grows. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

1. Since Mode is a SQL first platform, non-technical users will have a hard time using the platform.

2. I'm not so adept w/ HTML so I find it frustrating at times to have to edit HTML to change how my reports look. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Once connected to a data source, I'm able to create high level dashboards that can be viewed and utilized by many people in the organization. Really at the end of the day it's a great tool to perform analysis and share your results Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
