best Reporting Software.

Reporting software can refer to anything from business intelligence to performance analytics. The most direct software products containing reporting features are business intelligence platforms. These tools provide a mechanism for businesses professionals to analyze company data and reveal patterns and insights. These tools can analyze data pertaining to anything from sales figures to application performance. These, along with self-service business intelligence software, can provide insights and monitor key product indicators. Many can also produce visual representations of data to be used in presentations. While the platforms are often used by data-scientists and other specialists, self-service tools are designed for use by average business professionals. Other software types containing reporting tools are accounting and time tracking tools. Accounting tools are geared more towards financial and budgeting insights and time tracking tools relate to employee productivity and performance.

“Clear data means quick decisions.”
What do you like best about Tableau?

This platform is great at turning raw data into useful insights, giving business users the power to dig through and analyse large amounts of data, and to merge important KPIs themselves. This makes reporting cycles much quicker and helps teams move away from static reporting and towards proactive monitoring of key metrics. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tableau?

It's a breeze to set up and works well with our current infrastructure, SQL databases, cloud data warehouses like Snowflake and BigQuery, and even SaaS apps like Salesforce. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Tableau solving and how is that benefiting you?

Tableau runs on a scalable, n-tier client-server architecture, which includes Tableau Desktop, Server, and Cloud. Its unique VizQL Server converts drag-and-drop operations into a visual query language, and produces interactive visualisations on the fly. The Hyper Data Engine is another high-performance in-memory data engine that further optimises data processing, whether it's live from a variety of data sources or by using in-memory data extracts for speed. Tableau Pulse gives us insights and anomaly alerts that are tailored to the individual, and Einstein Discovery introduces real predictive modelling to our toolbox, making these more than just add-on features. “Fast Live Dashboards with DirectQuery, Intuitive Visuals, and Strong RLS”
What do you like best about Microsoft Power BI?

What stands out most to me about Power BI is how easy it is to connect straight to our backend data sources—especially when pulling from cloud lakehouses and SQL databases through DirectQuery. Rather than duplicating huge datasets or waiting through long ETL cycles, we can stay connected to our data layer and spin up live dashboards in minutes.

The drag-and-drop report builder also accelerates how quickly we can turn complex data into clean, readable visuals. Writing DAX measures for specific metrics feels intuitive once you get the hang of it, and it gives us strong control over our business logic. Another big win has been how smoothly native Row-Level Security (RLS) fits in: we can maintain one master report while still enforcing strict governance across different teams.

Overall, it closes the gap between data engineering and business reporting. Stakeholders get self-service answers, and our engineering team no longer spends half the week building custom, ad hoc reports. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Power BI?

While Power BI is a great tool, the learning curve for advanced DAX can be really frustrating. Basic measures are fine, but when you need complex time-intelligence or nested filtering, DAX feels way less intuitive than just writing SQL or Python. Debugging those heavy DAX queries takes up too much time, mostly because the error messages are usually pretty vague.

My biggest headache, though, is version control and team collaboration. Coming from a data engineering background where Git integration and CI/CD pipelines are seamless, dealing with standard .pbix files feels outdated. You cannot easily have multiple developers working on the same dashboard without accidentally overwriting someone's work. Microsoft has rolled out newer developer formats to help with this, but the whole deployment process still feels clunky compared to modern coding environments.

Also, the fact that Power BI Desktop is still strictly a Windows application is a constant hassle. Teammates on Macs have to jump through hoops with virtual machines just to build a report. Bringing the web browser authoring experience up to par with the desktop app would make a world of difference. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Microsoft Power BI solving and how is that benefiting you?

Before adopting Power BI, our reporting workflow was weighed down by fragmented data sources and static Excel sheets. Every executive request meant manually running SQL queries, exporting CSVs, and stitching multiple spreadsheets together. The result was major bottlenecks, stale data, and frequent version-control issues across departments.

Implementing Power BI completely changed how we manage reporting. By connecting Power BI directly to our centralized cloud lakehouse and configuring automated scheduled refreshes, we removed the need for manual exports. Our reporting cycles used to be slow and disjointed, often taking days to compile; now we can deliver real-time, interactive dashboards to teams across the organization.

The business impact has been immediate and tangible. Our engineering and analytics teams save roughly 10 to 12 hours each week that previously went to manual report upkeep and ad-hoc requests. Executive decision-making is noticeably faster because leaders can self-serve the metrics they need without waiting for our team to run new queries. Overall, it has streamlined our data delivery pipeline end to end. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“A Game-Changer: Seamless AI Integration That Boosts Monday.com Productivity”
What do you like best about monday AI Work Platform?

What I like best about the Monday AI Work Platform is how it seamlessly integrates AI capabilities into my existing workflows on Monday.com. As someone who has been using Monday.com for client management and process automation at Buk, the addition of AI features has been a game-changer.

With the AI Work Platform, I can now connect various AI tools like Claude, ChatGPT, and Copilot directly to my Monday.com workspaces. This means that these AI assistants can access real-time data from my boards, provide instant responses in context, and even take actions like creating tasks and updating statuses. It's incredibly powerful to have everything centralized in one place.

For example, I can ask Claude to analyze the data in my sales pipeline board and provide insights or recommendations. Or I can have ChatGPT help draft personalized emails to clients using information from their account records in Monday.com. The possibilities are endless, and it greatly enhances my productivity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about monday AI Work Platform?

I couldn't find any significant errors in your question. It's a straightforward and valid question asking about any aspects of the Monday.com AI Work Platform that you dislike or find challenging.

Here's a potential response highlighting some areas for improvement:

While I've had a largely positive experience with the Monday AI Work Platform, there are a few things I dislike or find challenging:

Steep learning curve: Integrating AI into workflows can be complex, especially for those new to AI concepts and tools. Monday.com provides documentation and tutorials, but it still requires a significant time investment to fully understand and implement the AI capabilities effectively. Some more user-friendly onboarding or setup wizards could help ease this process.

Limited customization: Although Monday.com allows bringing your own AI models, the options for customizing and fine-tuning the built-in AI integrations like Claude or ChatGPT are somewhat limited. Having more control over prompts, training data, and model parameters would enable even greater tailoring of the AI to specific business needs.

Cost: The advanced AI features are incredibly powerful but are mostly limited to the higher-tier Enterprise plans. For smaller businesses or teams, the cost can be a barrier to entry for leveraging the full potential of the AI Work Platform. More flexible pricing options or graduated feature access could make it more accessible. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is monday AI Work Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?

Streamlining repetitive tasks: One of the biggest challenges in my role is managing numerous repetitive tasks, such as updating client records, generating reports, and drafting emails. With the AI Work Platform, I can automate many of these activities using AI assistants like Claude and ChatGPT. For example, I can ask Claude to update client statuses based on predefined rules or have ChatGPT generate personalized email drafts using data from Monday.com boards. This frees up my time to focus on higher-value work.

Providing real-time data analysis: Another problem I face is making sense of the vast amount of data across my Monday.com boards, such as sales pipelines, project progress, and client interactions. The AI Work Platform allows me to instantly analyze this data and gain actionable insights. I can ask the AI to identify trends, make predictions, or recommend next steps based on real-time information. This empowers me to make data-driven decisions quickly without spending hours manually crunching numbers.

Enhancing collaboration with AI: Effective collaboration is crucial in my team, but aligning everyone's knowledge and ensuring consistent communication can be challenging. The Monday AI Work Platform solves this by enabling AI assistants to act as knowledgeable team members. They can provide instant answers to questions, offer guidance based on best practices, and even take on tasks to support the team's work. This improves our overall collaboration and ensures everyone has access to the information they need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Easy Time Tracking and Clear Productivity Visibility for Remote Teams”
What do you like best about Hubstaff?

What I like most about Hubstaff is how easy it makes it to track time and manage productivity across remote teams. Features like automatic time tracking, detailed activity reports, and project-based tracking support transparency without adding extra administrative work. I also find the reporting tools especially helpful for keeping an eye on project progress, balancing workloads, and strengthening team accountability. Overall, Hubstaff offers a straightforward, reliable way to keep projects organized while giving both managers and team members clear visibility into how time is being spent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Hubstaff?

One drawback of Hubstaff is that some of its employee monitoring features can feel a bit intrusive, particularly for teams that place a high value on autonomy. The desktop app can also occasionally prompt reauthentication or run into minor syncing delays. In addition, while the reporting tools are helpful, tailoring reports to very specific business needs can take some time to learn and get right. That said, these feel like relatively minor issues compared with the overall value and visibility the platform provides. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Hubstaff solving and how is that benefiting you?

Hubstaff helps us address challenges around time tracking, project visibility, and team productivity, especially when we’re working with remote or distributed teams. Before using Hubstaff, it was hard to get an accurate picture of how time was being allocated across different projects and tasks. The platform gives us clear insights into team activity, project progress, and resource utilization, which in turn improves planning, strengthens accountability, and boosts overall operational efficiency. As a result, we’re able to manage workloads more effectively, track project costs with greater accuracy, and make better-informed business decisions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Intuitive UI and Seamless Integrations That Streamline Our Workflow”
What do you like best about Xero?

I really love the clean, intuitive UI/UX of the dashboard; it makes navigating daily accounting tasks incredibly straightforward. Getting started was painless thanks to their highly structured onboarding guides and helpful customer support team. Additionally, its seamless integrations with our bank feeds and third-party payment gateways save us hours of manual data entry every single week. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Xero?

While the system is generally stable, we occasionally experience sluggish performance and slow loading times when running large, multi-year financial reports. Also, from a pricing perspective, the recent subscription cost increases make it feel like a stretch for very small businesses looking for a strong ROI, especially when certain basic features are locked behind higher tiers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Xero solving and how is that benefiting you?

Xero has completely solved our disconnected workflow by serving as a single source of truth for our finances. By linking our Chargebee billing and Stripe payment gateways directly through its robust integrations, we have completely eliminated manual reconciliation and double-handling. The clean UI/UX allows our team to monitor outstanding invoices at a glance, which has dramatically accelerated our cash flow and yielded a fantastic ROI in terms of weekly admin hours saved. “Robust Multi-Entity Support with Seamless User Management”
What do you like best about Sage Intacct?

I like how Sage Intacct provides a multi-entity friendly environment, which is a huge advantage for our complex multi-entity organization. The ability to migrate clients from QuickBooks to Sage Intacct saves us time and enhances efficiency with more robust reporting capabilities, especially in multi-entity scenarios. The out-of-the-box financial reports are impressive and surpass the legacy systems our clients previously used. Plus, Sage Intacct allows us to use the interactive custom report writer and visual explorer to tailor data displays within our environment. The implementation is fairly seamless given the platform's robustness, and managing user access is easy. It also allows us to get granular with client-specific access rights, which is very convenient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sage Intacct?

I would like to see them continue on the AI front. Right now, there needs to be more AI built directly into the system that you interact with in order to keep up with its competitors. The ability to use agentic AI and communicate directly with an AI agent in terms of updating information or even report building just by having a conversation explaining what you want to see within the system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Reliable Platform for Building Scalable Data Pipelines”
What do you like best about Databricks?

What I like most about Databricks is how its user friendly UI brings the entire data engineering workflow into one platform. In my project, data lands in the Bronze layer through snaplogic, and we use databricks to transform it into Silver and Gold data products. The serverless compute option has significantly reduced the effort of managing infrastructure, while Unity Catalog makes governance and access control straightforward. I also find AI Genie and the built-in monitoring features useful for investigating pipeline failures, checking job runtimes, and debugging issues much faster. From a pricing perspective, the pay-for-what-you-use model works well for us, especially with serverless compute and auto-scaling, as we avoid paying for idle infrastructure. The documentation is comprehensive, onboarding new team members is relatively straightforward, and there is a strong knowledge base and community that helps resolve issues quickly. Overall, it has made our ETL development and day 2 day operations more efficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Databricks?

One downside is that troubleshooting can sometimes be difficult when a pipeline fails, as the error messages aren't always detailed enough and you may need to dig through multiple logs to find the root cause. The platform also has a lot of features, so it can take some time for new users to become comfortable with everything. While serverless is convenient, costs can increase if compute usage isn't monitored properly. I'd also like to see faster UI responsiveness in some areas, especially when navigating large job histories or catalogs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Databricks solving and how is that benefiting you?

Databricks has helped me and my team simplify our data engineering workflow by providing a single platform for data ingestion, transformation, governance, and analytics. We use it to process data from Bronze to Silver and Gold layers, which has made our ETL pipelines more reliable and easier to manage. Features like serverless compute, Unity Catalog, and built-in monitoring have reduced operational effort, improved collaboration across teams, and helped us deliver data products faster. “Fast, Consistent Data Exploration Across Dimensions with Kyvos Semantic Layer”
What do you like best about Kyvos Semantic Layer?

What I appreciate most about Kyvos semantic layer is how fast we can explore data across regions, products and time periods. You can move across different dimensions and drill into metrics without worrying about how the query is being handled in the background. Numbers stay consistent across reports. There’s less back-and-forth on definitions, which makes discussions more focused on insights rather than validating the data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Kyvos Semantic Layer?

There’s a bit of a mindset shift in how you approach analysis. Instead of building queries from scratch each time, you rely more on the pre-defined models and structures.

Once you get used to that way of working, it actually makes analysis much more straightforward across the team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Kyvos Semantic Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?

Our biggest challenge was working with large volumes of data without slowing down analysis. Queries used to get expensive and time-consuming, especially when multiple people were exploring data at the same time.

With Kyvos, we’re able to interact with data much more freely. It’s easier to explore trends, compare performance, and answer follow-up questions without worrying about query delays. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“All-in-One HR Platform That Makes Daily Tasks Fast and Convenient”
What do you like best about HROne?

What I like best about HROne is that it brings all employee-related information and HR processes into one platform. I use it regularly for attendance tracking, punch-in/punch-out, leave applications, and reimbursement claims, which makes these tasks quick and convenient. It also provides easy access to payslips, tax and PF documents, leave balances, holiday calendars, and HR policies without needing to contact HR. I particularly like the employee engagement features, such as work anniversary and birthday notifications, which help employees stay connected. Having everything centralized saves time and makes day-to-day HR tasks much more efficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about HROne?

One area where HROne could improve is its user interface and navigation. While the platform offers a wide range of features, some options can be difficult to locate, especially for new users. Compared to other HR applications, the interface feels less intuitive, and completing certain tasks may require more clicks than necessary. A more streamlined design and improved navigation would enhance the overall user experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is HROne solving and how is that benefiting you?

Before using HROne, employee information, attendance records, leave requests, and payroll-related documents were often spread across different systems or required manual coordination with HR. Now, everything is available in one place, allowing employees to manage attendance, apply for leave and claims, access payslips and tax documents, and stay updated on company events. This has reduced administrative effort, improved transparency, and saved time for both employees and HR teams. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I like most about Jibble is how simple it is to track working hours and attendance without adding unnecessary complexity. Employees can clock in and out easily, while managers have access to clear timesheets and reports, making it much easier to monitor working hours and manage payroll. The interface is intuitive, setup is quick, and the mobile app is especially useful for teams that work remotely or across different locations. Overall, it's a practical and reliable solution that does exactly what it's designed to do. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Jibble?

One thing that could be improved is the reporting and customization options, as they can feel a bit limited for more complex workforce management needs. There are also a few features that take some time to get used to, especially when configuring settings for different teams. While these aren't major issues, having more flexibility in reporting and advanced configurations would make the platform even more useful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Jibble solving and how is that benefiting you?

Jibble has helped us simplify time tracking and attendance management, replacing manual processes with a much more accurate and efficient system. It's easy for employees to record their working hours, and managers can quickly review timesheets and generate reports when needed. This has reduced administrative work, improved visibility over working hours, and made payroll preparation much smoother and more reliable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Overall, I would strongly recommend NetSuite as it's a very good system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about NetSuite?

I think sometimes, NetSuite can be very slow. Also, customer service can be a bit frustrating because when you reach them, they ask you too many questions to get to the bottom of a problem. “Intuit/Quickbooks Predatory Pricing model”
What do you like best about QuickBooks Online?

Its highly accessible because its a website. The interface is fine, though it changes constantly which isn't always great. The reliability has been mediocre. The real problem is customer service has steadily degraded over the years. In the beginning I could call somebody when things went wrong. But over the years that has gotten really bad. The banks integrations are mostly working, the pricing is not good. I do not like the AI features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about QuickBooks Online?

The pricing model is predatory. Once they have your data in their system they can simply increase the price at any time. They are doing that now by 40% for Quickbooks online plus. They know that customers won't like it but they also know that the cost of migrating all the data is higher than the price increase. “Decent Payroll Resource”
What do you like best about Paylocity?

I think the interface of Paylocity, as a whole, is pretty good. For the most part, it's a pretty decent input of information on a weekly basis, and it has been fairly simple to use. Additionally, our representative called Javell has been with us since the start and is always available for us, which is wonderful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Paylocity?

We've had some frustrations in using Paylocity and making corrections. It's not quite as easy to make some of the corrections as we would like, and there have been situations that have come up. On the customer service side, it's been difficult at times to get hold of someone, except for Javel, who is always available for us. However, there should be other resources within Paylocity to help us on a weekly basis when we have issues that come up. We also notice limitations within reports and weekly payroll administration, and have faced some frustrations from time to time. I feel that there should be a customer service rep who is responsible for us and could ensure we're happy since other than Javell, no one really checks in to ask if everything is going okay. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Paylocity solving and how is that benefiting you?

I'd say Paylocity makes the payroll process fairly easy and expedites the delivery of checks. Especially like that we can submit additional checks, after the primary payroll submittal, without incurring additional fees. This is something that has come up several times over the past year. What do you dislike about ClickTime?

There isn't much to dislike about ClickTime. If I had to pick something, the initial onboarding and setup phase took a little bit of time for our team to fully configure, but customer support was very helpful in getting us through it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

ClickTime solves our issue of scattered, inaccurate time tracking across projects. By giving us a centralized system to log hours, it ensures accurate project costing and client billing. I like Keka for its clean and user-friendly interface, which makes it easy to navigate. The attendance and leave management features are simple and efficient, and the payroll process is smooth and reliable. I appreciate the employee self-service portal, where employees can easily access payslips, apply for leave, and update their information without needing HR assistance. The system is great for automating attendance, leave management, and payroll, which reduces manual work and minimizes errors. It saves time for both employees and the HR team by providing a self-service portal for leave requests, payslips, and personal information. Overall, it improves efficiency, ensures accurate payroll processing, and makes HR processes more organized and transparent. I also found the initial setup straightforward and well-organized, and with onboarding resources and customer support, implementation was smooth and quick. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Keka?

Keka works well overall, but there are a few areas that could be improved. I'd like to see more customization options for reports and dashboards, along with more flexible workflow and approval settings. The mobile app could also be faster and offer the same level of functionality as the web version. Improving notification management and adding more advanced analytics would make the platform even more useful for both employees and HR teams. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
