best Reporting Software.

Reporting software can refer to anything from business intelligence to performance analytics. The most direct software products containing reporting features are business intelligence platforms. These tools provide a mechanism for businesses professionals to analyze company data and reveal patterns and insights. These tools can analyze data pertaining to anything from sales figures to application performance. These, along with self-service business intelligence software, can provide insights and monitor key product indicators. Many can also produce visual representations of data to be used in presentations. While the platforms are often used by data-scientists and other specialists, self-service tools are designed for use by average business professionals. Other software types containing reporting tools are accounting and time tracking tools. Accounting tools are geared more towards financial and budgeting insights and time tracking tools relate to employee productivity and performance.

“Intuitive, Interactive Dashboards That Make Complex Data Easy to Understand”
What do you like best about Tableau?

As a frontend engineer, I particularly appreciate Tableau's focus on user experience. It allows data to be presented in a way that's interactive, visually appealing, and easy to interpret. I enjoy building products that help users make decisions, and Tableau aligns well with that philosophy by making complex datasets accessible through intuitive dashboards. I also like its ability to connect with various data sources and quickly prototype analytics without extensive backend work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tableau?

While Tableau is a powerful visualization tool, I find that dashboard version control and collaboration can be challenging compared to traditional software development workflows. It also has a learning curve for advanced calculations and complex data modeling. Additionally, performance can degrade when working with very large datasets or highly complex dashboards if they're not optimized. That said, most of these challenges can be addressed with good dashboard design, data modeling, and governance practices. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Tableau solving and how is that benefiting you?

Tableau solves the problem of turning large, complex datasets into meaningful, interactive insights that are easy to understand and act upon. Instead of spending hours analyzing raw data or creating static reports, users can quickly explore trends, identify anomalies, and answer business questions through visual dashboards. This benefits me by enabling faster decision-making, improving communication with stakeholders, and reducing the time needed to analyze and present data. It also empowers teams to make data-driven decisions without requiring dee Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Data loading takes time, so when I’m working with large datasets, even a minor change means I have to wait through the loading time again. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Microsoft Power BI solving and how is that benefiting you?

Power BI helps me easily convert raw data into insights by using the data editor to transform the data, then connecting it to charts and building a dashboard. After that, the report can be published, and the dataset can be refreshed by setting time triggers. Overall, it’s very easy to publish a report and share it with multiple users. “Easy Time Tracking and Clear Productivity Visibility for Remote Teams”
What do you like best about Hubstaff?

What I like most about Hubstaff is how easy it makes it to track time and manage productivity across remote teams. Features like automatic time tracking, detailed activity reports, and project-based tracking support transparency without adding extra administrative work. I also find the reporting tools especially helpful for keeping an eye on project progress, balancing workloads, and strengthening team accountability. Overall, Hubstaff offers a straightforward, reliable way to keep projects organized while giving both managers and team members clear visibility into how time is being spent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Hubstaff?

One drawback of Hubstaff is that some of its employee monitoring features can feel a bit intrusive, particularly for teams that place a high value on autonomy. The desktop app can also occasionally prompt reauthentication or run into minor syncing delays. In addition, while the reporting tools are helpful, tailoring reports to very specific business needs can take some time to learn and get right. That said, these feel like relatively minor issues compared with the overall value and visibility the platform provides. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Hubstaff solving and how is that benefiting you?

Hubstaff helps us address challenges around time tracking, project visibility, and team productivity, especially when we’re working with remote or distributed teams. Before using Hubstaff, it was hard to get an accurate picture of how time was being allocated across different projects and tasks. The platform gives us clear insights into team activity, project progress, and resource utilization, which in turn improves planning, strengthens accountability, and boosts overall operational efficiency. As a result, we’re able to manage workloads more effectively, track project costs with greater accuracy, and make better-informed business decisions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Xero Brings Clear Financial Visibility and Organized Accounting in One Place”
What do you like best about Xero?

What I like most about Xero is how easy it is to keep day-to-day financial records organized in one place. We use it to track invoices, expenses, bank transactions, and financial reports without needing to move between multiple systems.

One feature I particularly value is the bank reconciliation workflow. Matching transactions and keeping records up to date is much faster compared to manual tracking, and it gives better visibility into our financial position at any given time.

Xero also makes it easier to collaborate with finance stakeholders because reporting is centralized and accessible. Instead of relying on spreadsheets, we can quickly review financial data, monitor cash flow, and keep records consistent across the business.

Overall, it helps reduce administrative work while giving a clearer picture of the company’s finances. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Xero?

One challenge with Xero is that some accounting workflows have a learning curve, especially for users who don’t work in finance every day. Tasks such as bank reconciliation, report customization, and account setup can take some time to fully understand when you’re new to the platform.

While Xero is powerful once configured properly, I think the onboarding experience could do a better job guiding non-finance users through key processes and explaining accounting concepts within the product itself.

After the initial setup period, navigation becomes much easier, but new users may need some time before they feel fully comfortable using all of the available features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Xero solving and how is that benefiting you?

Xero helps solve the challenge of keeping financial records organized and accessible in one place. Instead of managing invoices, expenses, bank transactions, and reporting across multiple spreadsheets or systems, everything is centralized and easier to track.

One of the biggest benefits is reducing manual work. Features like bank transaction matching and reconciliation help keep records up to date without as much administrative effort. It also makes it easier to review financial reports, monitor cash flow, and understand the overall financial position of the business.

Having that visibility in a single platform improves consistency and helps support better financial decision-making. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Intuitive Interface but Slow Performance with Tasks”
What do you like best about ClickUp?

I like its interface, which integrates many ways to visualize projects. Additionally, it has the ability to link with various apps or programs that are used daily at work, such as email. It also has the ability to be used on mobile. I liked the forms, as they allow important information to be collected in one place. The initial setup was simple and there are several tutorials on YouTube. I also like that it has integrated different AI functions that allow saving a lot of time.

For now, I have only used the free plan and it has been enough for me to get to know the program well and start implementing it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ClickUp?

It has happened to me that since I have created several tasks, on average we have about 15 tasks and within those tasks there were several subtasks, ClickUp becomes slow, so moving between tasks or subtasks takes a little time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is ClickUp solving and how is that benefiting you?

“Smooth Transition with Sage Intacct: Easy Interface, Fast Reconciliations, Great Integrations”
What do you like best about Sage Intacct?

The interface makes everything easier. When we migrated to Sage, I was really worried I wouldn’t be able to understand how it works, but the layout and navigation made the transition much smoother. I could find what I needed quickly and move through the system with ease.

For reconciliations, it has improved the process a lot—especially for my accounts receivable reconciliations, which are usually a lot to manage. With a single journal entry, everything was cleared up, and matching bank transactions to the relevant accounts became much more straightforward.

It also integrates easily with JP Morgan bank and with Bill.com, including Spend and Expense and AP. I also appreciate that the reports I need are generated easily—literally just one click away. During setup, we were given practice accounts to review and learn from without the risk of making serious mistakes. Overall, I honestly believe moving to Sage Intacct was a good move for my company because it integrates well with almost all the applications we use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sage Intacct?

It has not yet been able to integrate smoothly with Dental inteligence which was recommended prior to migrating to Sage intacct. That the only complaint l really have with it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Sage Intacct solving and how is that benefiting you?

Before migrating to sage intacct l had to manually do Accounts Receivable reconciliations which was time consuming since they made up majority of my bank transactions. Now with sage l don't have to do them individuall l just have to upload one journal and everything will clear up. This has honestly time saving and have reduced my workload by a lot. I do get to download my reports quicker no matter how big the document is. I have not been using it for long but so far it does seem worth it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about UKG Ready?

I was disappointed to find that when I went to look art prior month's pay, it still displayed the amount of hours of the current month. That was initially confusing.

“Fast, Consistent Data Exploration Across Dimensions with Kyvos Semantic Layer”
What do you like best about Kyvos Semantic Layer?

What I appreciate most about Kyvos semantic layer is how fast we can explore data across regions, products and time periods. You can move across different dimensions and drill into metrics without worrying about how the query is being handled in the background. Numbers stay consistent across reports. There’s less back-and-forth on definitions, which makes discussions more focused on insights rather than validating the data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Kyvos Semantic Layer?

There’s a bit of a mindset shift in how you approach analysis. Instead of building queries from scratch each time, you rely more on the pre-defined models and structures.

Once you get used to that way of working, it actually makes analysis much more straightforward across the team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Kyvos Semantic Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?

Our biggest challenge was working with large volumes of data without slowing down analysis. Queries used to get expensive and time-consuming, especially when multiple people were exploring data at the same time.

With Kyvos, we’re able to interact with data much more freely. It’s easier to explore trends, compare performance, and answer follow-up questions without worrying about query delays. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Great Spark Scaling, But Slow Cluster Boot Times”
What do you like best about Databricks?

I start my day by opening up Databricks notebooks to clean and process raw data logs. The collaborative workspace is easily one of my favorite parts. When my team and I are working on the same notebook, the real-time co-authoring makes debugging incredibly easy. The Managed Apache Spark engine is a lifesaver for training heavy machine learning models because the clusters scale up automatically without me needing to worry about infrastructure. I just write my Python or SQL code, and it handles the heavy lifting in the background. Once my ad-hoc analysis is done, it is seamless to connect the data directly to Power BI so the business teams can view live dashboards. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Databricks?

The biggest pain point is definitely when I have an urgent report due or a quick request from a manager first thing in the morning, and the cluster takes 5 to 10 minutes to spin up. Sitting there staring at the "Starting Cluster" status when you are on a tight deadline is deeply frustrating. Also, the pricing and DBU (Databricks Unit) model can be confusing to wrap your head around, and costs quickly spiral if you forget to set up auto-termination properly. I also occasionally run into version conflicts when installing custom Python libraries on specific runtimes, which can eat up half an hour just troubleshooting environment errors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Databricks solving and how is that benefiting you?

Before using Databricks, our workflow was completely fragmented, with data engineering pipelines running in one place and our data models sitting on local machines, causing massive data redundancy. Switching to the Lakehouse architecture completely centralized everything and streamlined our daily routines. It has removed the traditional wall between data engineers and data analyst also data science, allowing us to collaborate seamlessly on a single platform. My honest assessment is that while it is expensive and the boot times are annoying, it is an incredibly robust platform that is hard to beat for heavy data workloads and serious data science. “All-in-One HR Platform That Makes Daily Tasks Fast and Convenient”
What do you like best about HROne?

What I like best about HROne is that it brings all employee-related information and HR processes into one platform. I use it regularly for attendance tracking, punch-in/punch-out, leave applications, and reimbursement claims, which makes these tasks quick and convenient. It also provides easy access to payslips, tax and PF documents, leave balances, holiday calendars, and HR policies without needing to contact HR. I particularly like the employee engagement features, such as work anniversary and birthday notifications, which help employees stay connected. Having everything centralized saves time and makes day-to-day HR tasks much more efficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about HROne?

One area where HROne could improve is its user interface and navigation. While the platform offers a wide range of features, some options can be difficult to locate, especially for new users. Compared to other HR applications, the interface feels less intuitive, and completing certain tasks may require more clicks than necessary. A more streamlined design and improved navigation would enhance the overall user experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is HROne solving and how is that benefiting you?

Before using HROne, employee information, attendance records, leave requests, and payroll-related documents were often spread across different systems or required manual coordination with HR. Now, everything is available in one place, allowing employees to manage attendance, apply for leave and claims, access payslips and tax documents, and stay updated on company events. “NetSuite Unifies Core Processes with Powerful Visibility and Reporting”
What do you like best about NetSuite?

What I like best about NetSuite is its ability to bring all core business processes into a single, integrated platform. It provides strong visibility across finance, operations, and supply chain, which helps improve decision-making and efficiency.

I especially value the flexibility of saved searches and reporting, which makes it easy to quickly access and analyze the data needed for day-to-day work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about NetSuite?

While NetSuite is a powerful and flexible platform, there are some limitations that can impact day-to-day usability.

One of the main challenges is with Saved Searches, particularly around complex criteria and advanced filtering. As requirements become more sophisticated, it can be difficult to build or maintain searches without workarounds, and performance can sometimes be impacted.

From a supply chain perspective, there are also limitations in inventory management and demand forecasting capabilities. Forecasting often requires additional customization or external tools to achieve higher accuracy and deeper predictive insights.

Overall, while NetSuite provides a strong foundation, some areas require enhancement or supplementary solutions to fully support advanced analytics and planning needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is NetSuite solving and how is that benefiting you?

What problems is it solving?

Before NetSuite, our data was trapped in different systems that didn’t talk to each other. We were wasting hours manually moving information between spreadsheets, which led to human errors and outdated numbers.

How is it benefiting you?

It puts everything—finance, sales, and operations—into one place. For me, the biggest benefit is having a single, reliable source of truth. I can see real-time performance dashboards without waiting days for manual reports, which means we can make faster, smarter business decisions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about QuickBooks Online?

QB online is superior to desktop, because it is easy to work from anywhere. As long you know your login info, you don't have to be stuck on a desktop in an office somewhere. This has allowed to continue working during things like car repairs and just waiting in my car for events/meetings to start. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about QuickBooks Online?

A couple of the downsides are that they no longer work with Melio because they have their own payment processing. I have three vendors that each month cannot be paid via QB online and I have to login to Melio separetley and process the payments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is QuickBooks Online solving and how is that benefiting you?

The one thing that QB online does is they have a really good payroll processing platform. I would highly recommend it to businesses looking for a reliable and cost-effective time tracking solution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The generic inquiry (GI) feature is a game changer, allowing even non-technical users like me to build custom reports and dashboards easily. Its intuitive web interface makes onboarding new employees quick, and the scalability means we can grow without being handcuffed by the ERP system. The consumption-based pricing structure is also a huge plus, and the reliability has been outstanding compared to previous systems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Acumatica?

Honestly, there isn’t much to dislike, but the process of migrating from our old system was complex, especially consolidating customers from multiple databases. Integrating new acquisitions and handling multi-currency, multi-tenant setups required extra effort and some creative workarounds, but Acumatica’s flexibility helped us address these challenges. I’d also say that while AI features are promising, we’re still exploring their full potential. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Acumatica solving and how is that benefiting you?

Scalability and flexibility are the biggest strengths for us. Because of features like attributes, we’ve been able to design the underlying data structure so it can live in both big and small buckets, depending on what we need. That makes it easy to add something like a brand attribute for a new product, and then have the data automatically flow throughout the data ecosystem we’ve created. What I dislike about Paylocity is that some features can be a bit slow or complicated to navigate, especially when switching between different sections like reports and approvals. “Intuitive Dashboarding with Exceptional Support”
What do you like best about Knowi?

I use Knowi to dashboard ecommerce performance, and it's great because I no longer need to manage manual CSVs across multiple platforms. The dashboarding features are intuitive, making my data easy to consume, saving me a ton of time. I also like the onboarding and support teams—they're always ready to help, especially for API-specific challenges. Onboarding helps me learn the platform quickly, and the support team is prompt in problem-solving any issues, which means I can unblock my progress within a day. Once the API setup and dashboard is running, it doesn't take much maintenance, and it's easy to share. Plus, embedding into Notion automates a ton of reporting, which is a game changer. What do you dislike about Knowi?

I think there could be more guidance for different types of API connections for popular platforms like Shopify, Google Analytics, and Tableau. It can take time to get everything set up correctly the first time with Knowi's platform and API documentation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I use Knowi to dashboard ecommerce performance, eliminating the need for manual CSVs and handling data beyond Google Sheets limits.
