Reporting Software

Typically, Reporting is a capability of a variety of other G2 Software categories. See more below to select the

best Reporting Software.

Reporting software can refer to anything from business intelligence to performance analytics. The most direct software products containing reporting features are business intelligence platforms. These tools provide a mechanism for businesses professionals to analyze company data and reveal patterns and insights. These tools can analyze data pertaining to anything from sales figures to application performance. These, along with self-service business intelligence software, can provide insights and monitor key product indicators. Many can also produce visual representations of data to be used in presentations. While the platforms are often used by data-scientists and other specialists, self-service tools are designed for use by average business professionals. Other software types containing reporting tools are accounting and time tracking tools. Accounting tools are geared more towards financial and budgeting insights and time tracking tools relate to employee productivity and performance.

“Transforms Raw Data into Strategic Insights with Tableau”
What do you like best about Tableau?

I really like how efficiently Tableau helps me transfer raw data into meaningful visual insights. The drag-and-drop interface makes it easy to build dashboards quickly, saving a lot of time when preparing reports. I especially value its ability to connect to multiple data sources and create interactive visualizations, which allows me to monitor key metrics and present clear, data-driven insights to stakeholders. It simplifies the process of building dashboards without needing complex configuration or coding. Tableau makes it easy to create charts and modify visualizations, speeding up my reporting process. Connecting to multiple data sources like Excel files, datasets, and cloud platforms enables me to effectively analyze information and generate comprehensive insights that support better decision making. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tableau?

While Tableau is a powerful analytics platform, there are a few areas that could be improved. The licensing cost can be relatively high, especially for smaller teams. When working with large data sets, dashboard performance can sometimes slow down and require optimization. Improving collaboration features and simplifying some advanced calculations would also make the platform even more convenient for everyday users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Tableau solving and how is that benefiting you?

I use Tableau to convert large datasets into visual insights, highlighting trends and metrics. It simplifies understanding complex data, improves decision-making, and allows exploration of insights without technical skills. It efficiently turns raw data into dashboards, saving report preparation time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Power BI works really well with Microsoft Fabric for reporting”
What do you like best about Microsoft Power BI?

I’ve been using Microsoft Power BI mainly for reporting and dashboard creation. In one of our projects we connected Power BI directly to warehouse tables and views in Microsoft Fabric, and the experience was pretty smooth.

What I like most is how quickly you can turn structured data into a dashboard. Once the connection with the warehouse is set up, creating visuals like charts, KPIs, and filters is quite straightforward. Business users in our team prefer dashboards over raw tables, so Power BI helps a lot in presenting the data in a clear way.

Another thing I find helpful is Power Query for simple transformations. Even if the data is mostly prepared in the warehouse, sometimes small adjustments are needed and Power BI handles that well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Power BI?

When reports start getting bigger with many visuals, performance can sometimes slow down a bit. It usually works fine but you need to design the model carefully if the dataset grows.

Also, learning DAX properly takes some time. Basic reports are easy, but advanced calculations definitely require practice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Microsoft Power BI solving and how is that benefiting you?

Power BI helps us convert warehouse data into meaningful reports that business users can easily understand. Instead of manually preparing Excel reports every time, we now have dashboards that update automatically when the warehouse data refreshes.

This saves a lot of time and makes it easier for teams to track important metrics and trends. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Robust Accounting Software with Effortless Receipt Tracking and Credit Card Integration”
What do you like best about Xero?

The program is quite robust, especially compared to the previous accounting software I was using. My accountant introduced it to me, and I can certainly see why they love it as much as they do. I typically log in 1-2 times a month to review my spending. I love how easy it is to track my receipts, spending, etc. Now that I reconcile my own books each month, the Hubdoc feature is especially helpful for matching my receipts to my spending. I also like how easy it is to integrate my credit cards so I don't have to worry about importing those transactions. I use a small, local credit union for banking, and though I do have to manually import transactions from those accounts via CSV files, it's VERY easy to do so and doesn't take much time at all. Xero's customer support is great and has been helpful when needed. Overall it's been a great tool on the accounting side of my small business. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Xero?

Though I've certainly become more familiar with the program, I don't feel that it's intuitive, especially if you're not familiar with reconciling transations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Xero solving and how is that benefiting you?

Xero helps keep my business spending organized from month to month. I like that I can easily compare monthly reports. It helps to keep me ready come tax time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about monday Work Management?

Integrations are great and easy with other softwares. Support is also great, prompt to respond and helpful to accomplish the goal. you can customize your work flow to fit what you need, rather than the typical "out of the box" type of work flow mgmt software. never experience any significant lags or performance errors. occasionally there's an update that might pause automations for a half hour or so, but it picks up when the update is done. Pricing is a bit higher than the competition, but monday.com team seems eager to make that price worth the difference. My absolute favorite feature is the ability to set up work flows across multiple departments in our company and those work flows can pull/push information to/from each other to improve communication and efficiency across our company. “Keeps Clinic Work and Team Coordination Perfectly Organized”
What do you like best about Connecteam?

I work as a Dietician & Nutritionist and also manage a small homeopathy clinic. What I like most about Connecteam is that it keeps both patient-related work and team coordination in one place. I can clearly see which tasks are open and which are completed, so nothing gets missed. I use it to track diet planning work, review pending cases, and manage follow-ups. At the same time, I can assign work to staff members and see who is handling what. This makes managing a small team much less stressful during busy clinic hours.

I also like that scheduling, time tracking, and communication are available inside the same system. It helps me manage staff timing, check availability, and keep updates in one place instead of calling or messaging everyone separately.

It was easy to start using and did not require complicated setup. I use it regularly, and it fits well into my daily clinic workflow without making things complicated.

Overall, it helps me stay organized and manage both patient work and team work more smoothly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Connecteam?

When I open a task to update it, it takes a moment longer to load before I can type anything. One thing I have noticed is that sometimes notifications come in groups instead of one by one. If multiple tasks are updated close to each other, the alerts show together, and it is easy to miss a small detail unless I open the app and check properly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Connecteam solving and how is that benefiting you?

In my daily clinic work, there are many small things happening together like patient follow-ups, diet plan work, and staff coordination. It is easy for small tasks to get delayed when the day gets busy. Sometimes I had to check different places just to see what was pending.

With Connecteam, I can see all tasks in one place and know what still needs attention. I can also see which staff member is handling which work. This reduces confusion and saves time during busy hours. It has made daily work more clear and manageable for me. I don’t have to depend only on memory or scattered messages anymore. “Seamless Work Tracking and Transparency with Hubstaff Integration”
What do you like best about Hubstaff?

Recently, I’ve appreciated the improved reporting dashboards and better timesheet accuracy. The automated weekly reports save time, and the activity tracking feels more optimized than before. Integration with project management tools has also become smoother, making workflow tracking more centralized and efficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Hubstaff?

While the performance has improved, the screenshot monitoring feature can still feel slightly intrusive for some team members. Adding more flexible privacy controls and lightweight background tracking options would enhance user comfort. Additionally, reducing desktop app resource usage further would make it even better for lower-spec systems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Hubstaff solving and how is that benefiting you?

Hubstaff solves the problem of manual time tracking, inaccurate work reporting, and lack of transparency between clients and team members. It benefits me by providing automatic time tracking, clear productivity reports, accurate billing, and smooth verification of work hours. This improves trust with clients, ensures fair payment, and helps manage project timelines more effectively. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Centralized HR Solution with Minor UI Challenges”
What do you like best about UKG Ready?

I like that UKG Ready enhances efficiency and compliance while securely centralizing employee data. The platform's HR administration is valuable as it centralizes employee information in a secure database, reducing paperwork and automating routine tasks. The flexible payroll feature is impressive with its continuous real-time processing that reduces processing time and ensures accurate paychecks. I appreciate the talent management tools that cover the entire employee lifecycle, helping attract and retain talent. The time tracking and scheduling tools automate time tracking and enable effective labor cost control, while ensuring the right people are scheduled according to skills and availability. Third-party integrations with tools like Salesforce and NetSuite ensure data consistency across systems. The mobile functionality is a plus, allowing employees to check pay stubs, request time off, and clock in/out conveniently. The AI-powered insights through 'Bryte AI' provide personalized, real-time insights, aiding managers in identifying risks and making data-driven decisions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about UKG Ready?

The user interface and navigation can be a bit of a hassle, described as a 'click maze' with limitations like only having one tab and half screen. Reporting and customization features could also use some improvement. The mobile app has limitations too, but I can't provide many details. The initial setup felt phased and required a complex understanding, which takes some time to get used to. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is UKG Ready solving and how is that benefiting you?

“Kyvos Makes Asking and Following Up on Data Questions Effortless”
What do you like best about Kyvos Semantic Layer?

The way that Kyvos allows our teams to interact with data is incredible in how simple it is to just ask a question in plain and simple terms, without having to create a lot of detailed reports. The ability to ask follow-up questions while still in the same discussion without having to re-create the earlier context is huge and helps us hurry up how long we would spend creating these types of conversations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Kyvos Semantic Layer?

I think it would be beneficial for more very specific examples of conversational analytics scenarios done as demonstrations to be available to view. Other than that, the process of using Kyvos has been very smooth. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Kyvos Semantic Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?

We have a lot of very large and complex data sets to look at, and typical BI tools limit our ability to look into the data quickly. We needed a solution to look for insight through conversational analytics that was scalable and that had a good relationship with our business context. Kyvos was by far the best option available after looking through the other choices made available to us. The results have been that our teams have been able to get much quicker insight with greater accuracy through asking questions in the way we would normally ask other people. The best part of HROne is that it’s less costly and still provides all the features that other tools charge more for. This tool helps keep my organisation’s HR processes smooth. Also, the recruitment portal in this tool is good. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ClickUp?

As of now we are on the free forever plan and some features are locked but that will change with a subscription. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is ClickUp solving and how is that benefiting you?

ClickUp addresses scattered work, unclear priorities, and limited visibility—especially into how time is actually spent—by bringing tasks, projects, and time tracking into a single system. Instead of guessing where my effort goes or juggling multiple tools, I can see exactly how long campaigns, content, and support tasks take. Original Information
“Easy, Flexible Accounting with Seamless Integrations.”
What do you like best about QuickBooks Online?

We’ve been using QuickBooks Online across multiple clients and entities, mainly for bookkeeping, payroll tracking, and monthly reporting. What works well is how easy it is to set up and get started, especially for standard accounting workflows.

The bank feeds and rules help save time on repetitive entries, and it integrates with a lot of third-party apps which is useful in our case since every client has a slightly different setup. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about QuickBooks Online?

One thing that can be frustrating is how it handles multi-entity or non-US setups. We’ve had situations where we needed to configure entities outside the US, and the system doesn’t always adapt smoothly.

Also, in non-US setups, the number of apps supported through the integration feature is very limited. For example, one of our clients in the UK is using Ramp, but QBO UK doesn’t support integration with Ramp, which increases manual work on our end.

On top of that, the user interface changes far too quickly. It keeps getting updated, and it becomes hard to stay familiar with the workflow when the interface is changing so often. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is QuickBooks Online solving and how is that benefiting you?

It helps us standardize bookkeeping across clients, so we’re not reinventing the process every time. Reporting, reconciliations, and maintaining audit trails feel much more structured than doing things manually.

That said, the reports generated by QBO are quite good. We can actually use them to provide meaningful insights to clients—for example, AR/AP ageing reports, transaction lists by vendor, and similar views that are easy to share and act on. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

One thing I feel could be improved in Keka is customization. Sometimes it would be better if users had more options to customize reports or workflows according to their needs.

Overall, these are minor improvements, and the platform still works well for managing HR tasks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Keka solving and how is that benefiting you?

Keka helps solve many common HR challenges by making everyday HR tasks simpler and more automated.

One major issue it addresses is manual attendance and leave tracking. In many organizations, these records are often maintained in spreadsheets or handled manually, which can take a lot of time and may lead to mistakes.

Keka simplifies this process by automatically tracking attendance and managing leave requests in one place. This makes the process much easier, saves time, and helps reduce errors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“A "Must Have" for any Accounting & FP&A Organization wanting to Implement Best Practices”
What do you like best about FloQast?

I've now purchased and implemented FloQast as three companies, the reviews from 2015/2020 still hold true with added benefits of the dedicated workflow management that I now leverage in my FP&A function, truly having a one-stop shop for a CFO organization ensuring all deadlines are met with ease while enabling controls/confidence in the numbers each month. What do you dislike about FloQast?

They continue to build features users actually want vs a product roadmap defined by "product people" that don't understand the real "in the trenches" challenges. 20/10 would buy again at the next gig. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is FloQast solving and how is that benefiting you?

Visibility, controls, extremely long close, organization, dysfunctional excel checklist, and recons being done ad hoc are all the main problems we were solving for with our implementation of FloQast. Both times putting in FloQast, we have been able to drastically shorten close and ensure the financials are more accurate than we ever were before. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Streamlined Data Integration with Sigma”
What do you like best about Sigma?

I like how user-friendly Sigma is. I'm not a data analyst but work with data, and it makes it really easy to pull in data and work with it in complicated ways that don't require coding. Input tables and calculated fields are really useful, and being able to link data via specific columns is a big plus. Sigma allows me to pull data in from various sources and add new information to evaluate or answer specific questions. It's really easy to use, even though I'm new to Sigma. What do you dislike about Sigma?

I'm very new to Sigma so I don't know enough yet to go into specifics but I'd love to have a better guide on best training sessions to watch online depending on specific use cases. More generally as a new user I'd love to have a specific enablement pathway or classes to follow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
