One minor thing I dislike about Employment Hero is that the help chatbox sits very close to the action/save button throughout payroll processing, and you can’t move it.

A bigger issue is that Employment Hero will sometimes roll out software enhancements without any notification, which changes the way the system behaves and can affect your processes. It doesn’t necessarily break anything, but you then have to adjust your workflows to suit. Since we implemented Employment Hero, our old manual processes for timesheets and leave applications have been replaced with digital workflows and a clear audit trail. This has made the payroll process much more efficient.

The only real downside I’ve experienced is that team availability seems to change from week to week, which can be tough for our employees who also have other jobs or school. Before using Homebase, we didn’t have an official schedule posted. We relied on a wall calendar to write down days off, but it was difficult for everyone to keep up from week to week. The biggest pain point we run into with Thareja AI revolves around data interoperability with our existing on‑prem ERP, which creates extra manual steps for our finance operations team. Every pay cycle when we export contractor time and compliance data for AP processing, the CSV output comes with inconsistent column mapping. We hit a pretty disruptive mishap two pay cycles ago with a group of eight system‑implementation contractors. After export, tax‑ID columns shifted over into the hours‑worked field for four of those vendor records. My junior finance analyst had to spend close to an hour manually rearranging and cleaning those rows before we could safely import the file into our ERP. If we had missed that formatting error, incorrect tax data would have fed straight into our payment run, bringing potential audit exposure for our firm. Like I mentioned before, ACA was a big win with Workforce Now. The product overall makes HR a smooth, up to date experience for practitioners and employees. There isn’t much to dislike about Evolia, but if we had to mention one thing, it would be that a few features could be slightly more customizable to better fit the unique needs of each business. As the organization's Communications Manager, I primarily use RedeApp to send organization-wide messages from my desktop computer. I will say that the user interface on the desktop version is pretty lackluster and could be more visually appealing. In the IT Asset Management section, I think it would be helpful to include more advanced asset-tracking features. Right now, the limited filtering and search options feel restrictive, and I also miss having customizable asset fields and more detailed reporting. When you’re managing thousands of workers across multiple shifts, sites, or production lines, tracking actual hours manually or through legacy punch cards leaves huge room for buddy punching, proxy attendance, and inflated vendor billing.

How BeeForce solves it: It provides real-time, tech-driven attendance tracking using tools such as geo-fencing, facial recognition, and live shop-floor dashboards.

Given the amount of employees that we have nationwide, it would've been great if the system was able to recognize the different states that the employees were in and that we would be able to assign managers per employees rather than create locations. We have over 20 locations in our system because we have managers that oversee different timezones, one that has every timezone, so he has multiple locations that he has to view. Because the Gusto integration seem to have issues though, we have to manually set-up accounts which is preferred as previously, it would automatically send invitations to personal emails that were in Gusto even when they haven't fully started. The downside also is that employees aren't able to see their time-off request balance and so they often put in requests when they have 0 hours pending for usage. The issue that we had previously was the fact that Gusto wasn't able to provide us with a timekeeping system that supported overnight shift. Deputy had played a huge part in decreasing the amount of time that is spent calculating the hours that each employee who work overnight has. I also really like how the Meal Break Premium is directly connected to the attestation question. I will say that, I wished that it would also track when the lunch was taken to ensure that even if someone answers 'yes' to the attestation question, it's guaranteed that we're remaining compliant with the state laws when applicable (most importantly CA and NY) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

One drawback of Hubstaff is that some of its employee monitoring features can feel a bit intrusive, particularly for teams that place a high value on autonomy. The desktop app can also occasionally prompt reauthentication or run into minor syncing delays. In addition, while the reporting tools are helpful, tailoring reports to very specific business needs can take some time to learn and get right.
