**What do you like best about Tanda?**

What we love most about Tanda is having one system that manages everything from onboarding and workforce management through to payroll, STP and now Payday Super. It has significantly reduced duplication, improved accuracy, streamlined compliance, and saved our team a huge amount of administration time across multiple hospitality venues.

**What do you dislike about Tanda?**

Overall we have had a very positive experience with Tanda, however some areas of the user interface and navigation could be more consistent. For example, some reports automatically generate and download, while others require manual downloading, which can be a little confusing and inconsistent for users moving between different areas of the platform.

**What problems is Tanda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tanda has solved one of our biggest operational challenges, that is running multiple systems for onboarding, workforce management, leave management, payroll and compliance across a multi-venue hospitality group. Moving fully to Tanda Payroll has made Tanda our single source of truth from onboarding through to payday, STP and Payday Super. It has significantly reduced duplication of data entry, improved payroll accuracy, streamlined leave balances and reporting, strengthened compliance, and literally saved hundreds of administration hours annually across our venues. It has also given managers and employees much better visibility over rostering, attendance, leave and payslips all within one platform.

**What do you like best about Tanda?**

Tanda is easy to use while still offering a wide range of practical and useful features. The features are intuitive and it is not bloated so it makes using Tanda a delight. 
The rostering tools are especially useful, making it simple to build a roster and to adjust and manage shifts without the process feeling complicated. The weekly roster template feature saves time when building out a roster, allowing pre-set shift times and being able to work around staff unavailability fast. I also like how Tanda provides important information quickly when drafting shifts and displays award specific condition reminders for each shift, making it easier to ensure obligations are fulfilled. 
The weekly planner feature helps to forecast the upcoming week and allows us to see where they may be budget shortfall or overspend.
The onboarding process for Tanda as both an end user and manager is perfect, it is quick and easy to understand for any worker allowing a faster and more pleasant process overall.

**What do you dislike about Tanda?**

There are sometimes issues with the remote clock-in feature needing manual timesheet correction.

**What problems is Tanda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

After using a multitude of different workplace management software, I found Tanda to be the most reliable. The compliance features are incredible, informing managers and employees alike of award conditions. The budgeting and rostering reports are incredibly helpful to see the performance of the business and workers.

**What do you like best about Tanda?**

We transitioned our business to the full Tanda package in 2025, and we've been very satisfied with the decision. Not only has Tanda saved us hundreds of man-hours over the past year, it has modernised countless HR processes.
By far the most impressive part of Tanda has been the ongoing support. Anytime we've encountered something we needed assistance with, there was an accessible help option available. Tanda Dan (AI chat) is very helpful, but it doesn't stop you accessing help from a knowledgeable human on the other end of an email if you need to go one step further.
Thank you to the Tanda team for all your patience and help over our time, particularly those like Ethan who will offer personalised support, step-by-step instructions and endless patience for follow up questions.

**What do you dislike about Tanda?**

There are a couple of areas that could potentially be better equipped to handle high staff turnover; such as the talent pool and job ad platform, but we're seeing developments and improvements coming through all the time, consistently refining and adapting the program.

Program integration, legal and business compliance, overall streamlining of processes, transparency and confidence to the team.

I really enjoy using Tanda for its easy clock-in/clock-out feature, which makes it seamless to stay on top of my timesheet and keep everything up to date. The onboarding was also very well guided.

**What do you dislike about Tanda?**

I haven't found any issues with it so far, besides occasional location issues when clocking in, which always resolve with the troubleshooting provided.

I’ve used other tools in the past, and they weren’t nearly as simple or as automated as Tanda.

**What do you like best about Tanda?**

We've been with Tanda since the early days - their third customer actually - and it's been really cool watching them grow and improve into the powerhouse they are today. Our gym managers absolutely love the shift auction feature. Before Tanda, covering sick calls or last-minute gaps was a pain - lots of phone calls, group chats, and manual shuffling. Now staff just pick up open shifts through the app and we're good to go. It's saved us tons of admin time and pretty much eliminated our short-staffing issues.

The fitness award is notoriously complex and honestly a bit of a headache, but Tanda does all the heavy lifting on the compliance side. We don't stress about penalty rates or overtime calculations anymore - it just handles it. The support team is genuinely helpful when we need them, and the platform itself is straightforward enough that our managers got the hang of it pretty quickly. Can't imagine going back to the old manual way of doing things. If you're in fitness or hospitality dealing with award stuff, definitely worth checking out.

**What do you dislike about Tanda?**

One thing I'd like to see in future is a snappier overall speed within the software, it could be due to the complexity/ scale of our organisation but sometimes the screen load times when working with the software lengthen the time it takes to work on tasks

For a business fairly large and complex, Tanda is close to a complete solution for our team scheduling, tracking and payroll.

**What do you like best about Tanda?**

Tanda has made what I do more efficient, more reliable, more informed, and more practical. 
Aside from creating streamlines to archaic processes we still had in place, it has also increased the reliability of the information I use and the information I share. These two aspects on their own have made me a better HR leader. 
As well as this, because the information is so much more accurate, I've saved all this time with its efficiencies that I can now use the information it provides me to be more informed about my business - better information means I can make better and more aligned decisions. 
And finally its ease of use - both for myself and for my colleagues across all levels of the business - Tanda makes everything easy to see and use which means I have less queries coming my way.

**What do you dislike about Tanda?**

I do feel that the set-up of the system could be a little more organised. 
I started with the uploads of information and employee setup when really i should have started with creating all of the positions first and ensured they were right. 

Just a bit more of a structured process to commence system set-up would be great.

Tanda is ensuring we are effectively using our resources and that the hours we pay we are paying for productivity.
We have saved dollars no longer rostering when it wasn't necessary due to the great integrations.

I am learning more about Tanda everyday.   The support articles are great and very detailed.  We have also had a LOT of help from Alex Hall.  He has been amazing in demonstrating aspects of Tanda I wasn't aware of and that will save our team lots of manpower and increase accuracy.   Thank you Alex!

**What do you dislike about Tanda?**

I would like the syncing to Xero be more frequent than hourly.    Getting multiple kudos requests from the Tanda bot after reading a support article.  One is enough as when you are in a hurry this can be frustrating.

I also want to say that this G2 review pages on Organisation / Feature Ranking / Platform insist on selecting answers I don't know because I was not involved in implementation or I have not used these platforms, but does not provide an N/A option so therefore my responses are inaccurate and are guesses.

**What do you like best about Tanda?**

Everyone has the same version of Tanda, meaning your off-the-shelf version doesn't need too much implementation to set up the more complex items, like award compliance / time and attendance. 
Given the frequent significant changes to employment law in Australia, Tanda gives you full confidence that you're compliant with their expert team and fast response to new guidance. 
It's not a Frankenstein system - the payroll, HR and time and attendance models are all actually created by Tanda, not bolt ons or whitelabelled versions from other providers. 
The implementation was smooth, our implementation manager Alex Dyson was knowledgeable and supportive throughout.

**What do you dislike about Tanda?**

It is a relatively new provider, so you will not have the same functionality off the bat as you do in more established systems, particularly in the HR modules. That said, Tanda actively respond to feedback and regularly make changes and improvements to the system.
The integration wasn't quite as quick as we were hoping (3 weeks was quoted at one point!) due to our business not having the right level of data to easily migrate across, but it was nowhere near the timeline we would've been looking at if we were with a larger provider.
The guides in Tanda Learning are helpful, but are tailored towards administrators rather than the wider business. More resources for roll out and training would be appreciated.

Award compliance - able to sleep at night knowing we're doing all the right things by the Award and NES. 
Combining many systems and spreadsheets into one place.

In my opinion, a good workforce and payroll system should contain at least three characteristics that are considered effective in terms of ROI, such as:

 1) Compliance (Automated Award Interpretation and Pay Policy Setup)

 2) Simple to use (user-friendly, easy and quick integration with payroll system, easy implementation, quick access to troubleshooting and training materials, and good customer support for technical challenges).

 3) Good reporting (easily accessible and easy to understand the report)

 In this scenario, Tanda has these three minimum criteria.

Dashboard reporting must have the same level of development as detailed reporting, so that top management may easily access dashboard reporting.

**What problems is Tanda solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tanda totally supported me in the speedy deployment of the automated award interpretation and policy setting.  Since the beginning of Tanda implementation, the quality of support for our technical challenges has been great.

I believe that using Tanda, we can confidently roster our employees and avoid any errors or unnecessary overtime/penalties caused by an inefficient rostering strategy.

What i like about best about Tanda is how easy it use to use in day to day work, clocking in and out, managing my shifts and checking hours is all ready simple. Everything updates extremely quick so i can always be up to date with my schedule, breaks and total hours worked without any confusion at all. I've been using Tanda for some time now and i appreciate how easy it was to integrate. The setup was very straightforward and once it was ready I didnt need much training as it operated very smoothly.

Havent had anything i dislike about Tanda so far.

Tanda solves the problem of confusion and unreliable clock in systems, before it was easy to forget times and really just making mistakes. With Tanda clocking in and out has become extremely fast and accurate, it automatically tracks hours, breaks and shifts in real time which means i dont have to worry about incorrect pay or missing hours.

Really easy to use and pay staff. Didn't exactly love the idea of doing rostering and running payroll when I was manually doing it, so the less time I can spend on it the better. Everything runs smoothly so that's me happy.

Wish I started using them from Day 1. Having to deal with getting Xero setup was a lot more annoying than if I just went with Tanda from the start. That being said their team was helpful so wanst too bad - thanks Chloe!

Rostering is super easy to do and get it into the staffs hands. If the roster changes, easy to update. Running payroll is super easy too, i'm not a lawyer so the legislation of paying staff is pretty stupid but Tanda makes it easy.

I'm most appreciative of Tanda's support - it is responsive and I feel that they go above and beyond to make sure you have the best solution for your business. It is easy to use, both as a manager and for my team. It integrates well with Xero and the Tanda team were instrumental in the implementation. As a daily user I tell other business users to use it to simplify their rostering and payroll.

The customer support team is exceptionally responsive, having swiftly resolved a permission setup issue I encountered. Additionally, Tanda's availability of pay awards makes compliance much more manageable for me. I don't really think there's anything I would change as such. Tanda very much fits our use case. However, potentially, as we bring on more different types of employees, having a dedicated account manager would be good. But at this stage, that's not necessary.

Ease of use. It's so easy to navigate. I've used many HR and payroll systems currently on the market and Tanda is the most user friendly. It's easy to learn and the support is the best from any software product I've used. the Tanda Dan auto bot is the best feature as is the ability to impersonate users to see what they see. The support during implementation phase is brilliant and nothing is too hard. The integration with other products is seamless and has been instrumental in streamlining our processes and efficiencies. The Award interpretation is spot on and creating rule sets is very easy.

**What do you dislike about Tanda?**

The only thing would be only having 1 integration per account with Seek for the Tanda Hire function. Given we have 4 locations within the 1 account, it makes it difficult to use this function for all entities. The Hire function is only in early stages so I'm sure this can be adapted in the future.

Getting our permission settings right to suit our business needs.
Helping us set up the pay super integrations.
Listening to our requests for improvements - It would be great to have a blacklist function in Hire to avoid repeat candidates from applying for jobs.

There have been many glitches in the system with holiday accrual over my 6 months using it.

This is a slightly cheaper and just as useful system to use than the likes of Rotaready. If you can look past some of the minor glitches and issues, it stands up well.

The time sheets and delivery of Rota's is easier than most systems I've used in the past. It is generally a lot quicker to get things done. Would be nice for the app to be more useful to get these things done on the move.

Tanda is the complete package. Tanda has everything, from rostering and storing all employee information, time clocks and timesheets to importing the finalised time sheet into our separate accounting package and that is after it has applied the correct Award to the timesheets.  Tanda has made our payroll so accurate and efficient.  It is a huge time saver.  I forgot to mention the employees can apply for leave and employers can approve or deny the leave. It really does everything.

I don't think there is anything to displike about Tanda.

The Award changes were getting a little tricky and more time was being spent by the payroll clerk to check and recheck the award to make sure the payrates were being applied correctly.  Also the way the Award was written left a bit to the interpretation of the reader.  We are now very comfortable with how Tanda interprets and applies the rules of the Award.  We have saved so much time.
