What do you like best about RingEX?

What I like best about RingEX is how seamlessly the platform brings communication and collaboration together. I love the technology behind it—everything feels modern, intuitive, and built to make work easier. It’s clear that a lot of thought went into making the system efficient and easy to navigate. What do you dislike about RingEX?

While RingEX offers a lot of great features, there are a few areas that could be improved. At times, the system can feel a bit complex, especially when navigating between different tools or settings. Occasionally, call quality can fluctuate depending on network conditions, and updates sometimes change the layout in ways that take time to get used to. What do you like best about RingEX?

What I like most about RingEX is how simple and easy the system is to use. We recently switched from a cumbersome Cisco setup, and the difference has been huge. Everything is easier to navigate, and finding what you need is quick. The implementation was straightforward, and their customer support has been great from the start. The feature set is solid, and I haven’t run into anything I couldn’t do. Integrating RingEX with other apps, such as Teams, was quick and painless. I use the system every day and couldn’t be happier. What do you like best about RingEX?

What do you dislike about RingEX?

While RingCentral offers robust features and functionality, my experience as a solo business owner has revealed several areas for improvement in both onboarding support and platform flexibility.

Onboarding and Account Management

As an online business setup, I was not assigned an account manager and received no proactive outreach during the critical implementation phase. When I initiated contact for assistance, the support representatives provided inconsistent information and failed to follow through on commitments. This left me navigating the platform setup independently with numerous unresolved questions. A dedicated onboarding specialist who actively engages new customers would significantly improve the initial experience rather than relying solely on self service resources like Ring University.

Feature Limitations for Solo Entrepreneurs

The platform's architecture appears optimized for team environments, which creates inefficiencies for single user businesses. Many features remain unutilized in my current configuration, representing unnecessary overhead for a solo operation.

Most critically, RingCentral's handling of multiple phone numbers presents a significant operational challenge. My previous platform allowed a single user account to manage two distinct numbers (toll free and local) for separate business entities, with full SMS/MMS capabilities and clear customer identification for each line. This functionality enabled appropriate auto responses and maintained clear business separation without requiring additional user licenses.

RingCentral's current structure requires separate user accounts for this same functionality, effectively doubling my operational costs a substantial burden for small business budgets.

Feature Parity Request

As a RingEX Ultra user, I would greatly benefit from access to the omnichannel capabilities currently exclusive to the CX platform. The ability to engage customers seamlessly across multiple communication channels would enhance customer experience and streamline operations, even for smaller businesses. This feature integration would provide significant value without requiring a full platform migration.

Recommendations for Improvement

*Implement true multi-site/multi-number functionality within single user accounts

*Develop a structured onboarding program with dedicated specialists for new customers

*Update and maintain help documentation to align with current platform features and eliminate broken links

*Consider creating a tier specifically designed for solo entrepreneurs with appropriate feature sets and pricing

While RingCentral's core technology is solid, addressing these gaps would make it a more viable solution for the growing segment of solo business owners and micro-enterprises. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about RingEX?

The task manager enables me to monitor workflows across different departments and teams effectively. The meeting features are exactly what we need to maintain momentum on the business side. I really enjoy the chat functionality, and the GIFs add a fun, lighthearted touch. Having access to a wide range of phone and IVR options allows us to keep growing without ever missing a call.

"Lots of Functionality but Some Clunky Aspects in Admin Portal"
What do you like best about RingEX?

RingEX provides a lot of customization and functionality to meet diverse needs, which I think is very important since this program isn't specific to any industry or area of business. From an admin standpoint, setting up a new user is pretty easy, and I especially like a newer update of being able to schedule the invitation email in advance. That's very helpful!

We have three office locations with staff working remotely some of the time and calls run smoothly as if everyone was in one place. The RingCentral chat is also very nice, as is the ability to text our clients from within the desktop app.

I recently contacted support in order to cancel some extra RingEX licenses we were not using during our contract renewal period and they made if very easy. It only took one chat session to accomplish exactly what I needed to, and quickly.

We use the RC video very frequently and sometimes record meetings and both are easy to use. I love that you can send a link to a video participant and they do not need to download the program to join a video call. Makes it very easy for them and we rarely have anyone who experiences issues getting into the video call.

Sending faxes is easy and received faxes can easily be forwarded via email to the proper person in our team. Text messages and voicemails can also be easily transferred. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about RingEX?

I've found that some settings in the admin portal move randomly and become difficult to find. We also have had issues with certain settings within the admin portal changing on their own and that is very frustrating. Luckily this isn't a common issue, but the one we've experienced is incoming calls get routed to a welcome message (which ends up being our voicemail recording) instead of ringing through. It hasn't happened recently, but has happened several times. Maybe this is fixed now, I do not know.

Recording a new voicemail is easy enough form the handset, but navigating to the importing/exporting so that the voicemail plays both during and after hours is a bit labor-intensive. I also wish voicemails could be saved from within the RC admin portal.

Features/settings in the admin portal that we don't use often are sometimes difficult to find/get to as it's not as intuitively located as I think it could be. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
