What do you like best about Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce)?

1. One of the major things I like about Magento is, we can do the customization easily as per our client requests, that I find difficult in other platforms.

2. Magento has so many extensions/addons available that we can use for our implementations.

3. Magento has different types of product options, with the help of that we can achieve different product configurations and handle store specific inventory.

4. We can implement headless architecture on top of Magento with the help of Magento OOTB APIs.

5. Following are some of the features I like: Order Management, Catalog Management, cart price rule, configurations.

What do you like best about Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce)?

I like that Adobe Commerce (formerly Magento Commerce) is a unified platform that allows us to handle both our B2C and B2B commerce. We've reduced licensing costs and maintain consistency across our agents using the platform. I also find the catalog management feature very helpful, especially because it allows us to create individual customer catalogs from a central catalog. The order management and routing, along with the native integrations with our other Adobe applications, are beneficial. Additionally, the admin interfaces are user-friendly for our agents. As such, there is no downside if Adobe Commerce. All I can think of is not having dedicated tech support, as one has to go through a learning curve.

I use Adobe Commerce to make our e-commerce business live on the web, and it really simplifies product upload and inventory management. I find the headless feature particularly useful as it allows us to use GraphQL to get product details and build our native site to render products on any other frontend technology. I also like the integration capability with our existing website, where we don't have to change the storefront, which is especially helpful for mobile apps rendering products and other details from Adobe Commerce. The 'Hidden' Complexity of App Builder introduces a new kind of 'technical debt.' It requires a shift from PHP to a Node.js/JavaScript stack, which means hiring new talent or retraining entire teams. Additionally, debugging can be frustrating. Also, the monthly patch cycle creates a maintenance treadmill due to constant QA requirements. The platform feels 'over-engineered' for single-storefronts, leading to navigating around features we don't use.
