**What do you like best about Stripe Billing?**

The API and CLI are absolutely outstanding. Stripe Billing's developer experience is best-in-class — the documentation is clear, the API is well-designed and consistent, and the CLI makes testing and debugging a breeze. Setting up subscriptions, invoices, and recurring billing flows is straightforward, and the webhooks system is reliable. It integrates seamlessly into our workflow and has saved us a ton of engineering time.

**What do you dislike about Stripe Billing?**

The pricing is the main pain point. Stripe Billing is expensive, especially for a startup like ours. The per-transaction fees and the additional percentage on top for billing features add up quickly as you scale. For a company based in a market like Mexico, where margins can be tighter, the cost can be hard to justify compared to alternatives. I wish there were more flexible or volume-based pricing tiers for growing startups.

**What problems is Stripe Billing solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Stripe Billing handles all of our recurring subscription management and invoicing, which would otherwise require significant custom development. Before Stripe, managing billing cycles, proration, failed payment retries, and tax compliance across different regions was a nightmare. Now we can focus on building our product instead of building billing infrastructure. The API-first approach lets our engineering team automate everything programmatically, and the CLI speeds up our development and testing cycles considerably.

I like that there's very little work once the customer is set up. It's very easy just to set it and forget it, which makes my life a lot easier. The initial setup was very easy; we created the account and were off and running.

When there is an issue with a customer payment, whether it's an ACH block, it does get to be a little cumbersome to correct. It is a process.

Stripe Billing automates our payment methods, enabling real-time charges and avoiding the tedious receivables process. It simplifies setup, so once customers are onboarded, it's set and forget, making my life a lot easier.

I like that Stripe Billing handles all of our PLG customers and integrates with Maxio to create transactions, revrec, and syncs to Xero for accurate record keeping. I appreciate that we don't have to create invoices, transactions, or manage contracts with our PLG customers. I like that it's a 'set it and forget it' solution.

Generating payment links to update failed credit cards is difficult. It should integrate better with other systems out of box.

I use Stripe Billing to manage PLG customer transactions without needing to handle invoices or contracts, and it's great for its 'set it and forget it' feature.

**What do you like best about Stripe Billing?**

Stripe gives us the ability to customize how we want to present our invoices to our customers, structure our products, and accept payments. We were even able to overcome a product display problem relating to how Stripe displays items on our invoices through a way that wasn't recommended by Stripe and Stripe continued to work the way we wanted it to anyway. The fact that we later had to change it to take advantage of a paywalled Revenue Recognition feature in no way downplays the value that Stripe provided us during this time by allowing us to use its system "incorrectly" and still function well!

**What do you dislike about Stripe Billing?**

Many of Stripe's additional features are paywalled -- features that I would consider to be an essential part of an online billing system -- which is a giant bummer, because Stripe provides such good and reliable services that you will have no choice but to add on the paywalled features eventually.

We are primarily a B2C subscription business and Stripe powers the subscription management and billing completely.

Easy to use and very easy to integrate with whatever platform you are using, including WordPress, WooCommerce. also to mention the dashboard is very easy to use

I have an LLC, and I'm offering digital marketing services. After I used my account for a month with a 0% refund dispute, they shut down my account, saying that my business is considered high risque without explaining any further, and they held my $4K for 120 days. Speaking to customer support was a waste of time as they won't help. The weirdest part is that my friend with the same business model uses stripe without issues.

The second time. I wanted to integrate it with my real estate website. And they shut down my account in 2 months of use and with 0% refund dispute, saying business is also considered high risque, this time they hold $7k for 120 days.

On releasing my funds, they started to change the date and said they were conducting further reviews...

Stripe is awesome and handles all our company billing. It's really easy to use for our team and simple to setup all the various different payment arrangements we have for upfront and monthly billing. I've only had to contact support once but they were super helpful and friendly and resolved the issue quiuckly. 

We use stripe everyday both internally and also customer facing. It's easy for our team to make requested modifications to any cusrtomers orders and they can even managed their orders themsleves.

I have occasionly had to contact our web developer when I have not understood the documentation at times but he usually makes quick work of it.

**What problems is Stripe Billing solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Stripe handles the processing of all our customer orders. We use their order forms so that our customers can also purchase directly. And we use it to manage our subscription payments and alert us to the incoming totals each day.

**What do you like best about Stripe Billing?**

Stripe is very simple to use and integrate into a variety of platforms. I run both a merchandise store and my newsletter subscription through it so I run thousands of dollars through their system every year.

It's flexible and has a great dashboard so you can see all transaction details.

**What do you dislike about Stripe Billing?**

While their customer service is pretty good, I have some concerns. A month ago my store got hit by a card testing attack and it took them days to really address my concerns about having to eat the fees, which hit at the worst time for me causing a number of bank overdrafts.

They did eventually fix it. But it took days longer than it should have.

**What problems is Stripe Billing solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I used stripe for a mix of merchandise, newsletter subscriptions, and sometimes I send a freelancing invoice through them. It works and gives a lot of details about transactions and volume.

I cannot say I have any dislikes. Security (MFA; OTP's etc) can be annoying, but I realise they are necessary in this day and age.

It allows me to automate recurring invoices. We rent out equipment, sometimes for long periods, and bill monthly. With Stripe Billing, my customers can receive and pay invoices without me having to lift a finger.

The user interface allows you to develop your own workflow. It allows you to find very old transactions in a really easy way and generate reports thanks to its interface very friendly. Works perfectly along with other tools we use for fraud detection, improving the service we offer to our customers protecting their information.

It would be more helpful to have a general information from every transaction, like a "preview" before entering into it because sometimes we do need a specific field and that's something you need to know entering directly in the transaction.

Weird little access codes are needed when initially logging in, but knowing that's a safeguard to prevent hackers from attempting to access our valuable customer's sensitive information.
