"Very good value for money, great support"

What do you like best?

The workbench is very easy to use, no need for training.

Configuration of our reviews campaign is also easy to handle, and with a lot of possible configurations

Support team is very quick to answer', and really helpful (they dig deep into your question / problem and try to help you the best they can)

Very detailed documentation

Exporting and automatic sending of email with regular export is very convenient to spread reviews to a lot of people

What do you dislike?

Not so easy integration to our website (one "all reviews" page + use of 5 stars ranking on our products pages.)

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Measuring satisfaction & NPS of current customers, both a few week after subscription and then after a few years (up to 13K reviews at the end of 2018).

Reading those reviews (once a week) helps us to improve our processes & products, by correcting occasionel problems and thinking more globally on how we can give our customers a better service

"Great Reviews Platform "

What do you like best?

The syndication Bazaarvoice offers was really useful for us since we sell the same product across multiple brands. This feature allows users feedback to show on different sites even though they only filled it out on one particular site.

What do you dislike?

Bazaarvoice's biggest flaw is their user interface. There are multiple login screens that require multiple username/password combinations. They are currently working on this issue.

Recommendations to others considering the product

If you are considering Bazaarvoice, take a look at PowerReviews as well. Bazaarvoice made sense to us and they show us quarterly that we are getting a nice return on investment. The users that engage with this platform have a higher chance of converting versus users who only visited the page.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We were looking for user reviews since good reviews help customers finalize their purchasing decision. This product has filled that void for us and their other offerings such as product seeding programs may help jump starting reviews on products that have a hard time getting proper feedback from users.

"Complete tool to collect and analyze Product reviews"

What do you like best?

The tool is easy to install if you use a "out of the box" configuration, while it allows more sophisticated customization using the API provided.

The tool comes with a good set of dashboard that allow easy KPI follow up.

the built in portal to let brands answer to reviews and questions on the retailer website is a plus.

the capability of the tool to exchange reviews for same product with suppliers is a good feature.

What do you dislike?

It would be very good if the tool could adress Store Reviews as well with the capability to track reviews at store level so that store associate would be able to answer review from customers of their store (product and store reviews)

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

- Creating reinsurance between customers

- Adressing lack of information on product detailed page through Q&A

- Getting customer pictures of the product they bought while in use.

- Getting customer feedback on the quality of our product offer.

"User Generated Content with EASE"

What do you like best?

I like the tools Bazaarvoice provides that can show us real time reporting, YoY reviews and rating scores, as well as making it easy to find specific reviews. The workbench is a tool we use at least weekly and is invaluable.

What do you dislike?

I do wish we would have had a working overview of the back end applications that power the actual review forms on brand sites. This is something that is easier once an overview is done so as people are on-boarded should be part of the process.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are using UGC the same way we use organic keyword research - this powers updates we make to retailer rich content, site content, and product details. It enables us to use consumer input to speak about our products the same way they're speaking to us. We also use review content to power new product innovations or updates to current products.

"Easy for reviwers to post and integrates well with retailers"

What do you like best?

This platform makes it easy for our product users to post a review that gets syndicated to multiple retailers allowing for greater amplification than if it was just on our own website. Reporting is very good and service is always very prompt and helpful.

What do you dislike?

Implementing and updating product feeds can be very technical. If you do not have a dedicated IT person to do the work, it can be difficult and time consuming.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Be sure to have a plan to get the most reviews possible to get a reasonable ROI. Sweepstakes or giveaways in return for a review work very well. Do not wait to grow your number of reviews quickly.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Getting more reviews on our retailer websites. This platform allows us to reach multiple retailer websites with our reviews without any additional effort on our part.

"The service for managing user generated content"

What do you like best?

Bazaarvoice is everything you need for gathering, managing and utilising user generated content. It is easy to use and support for getting the most out of the service is there.

What do you dislike?

Bazaarvoice is not cheap and sometimes getting the required key account manager support is difficult. Also getting GDPR-agreement in place was far from easy and quick.

Recommendations to others considering the product

The Bazaarvoice tool is only as good as your internal resources and efforts using it. In order to get the full benefits of the service you need to allocate people and time utilising it. If you do, it pays off.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Bazaarvoice UGC is a tool to increase turnover and improve our operations in generall. UGC helps to improve SEO and increase traffic, it generates trust and improves conversion rate and furthermore it is an internal tool for category managers and suppliers to see what customers think about our products and services.

"Excellent Platform and Fantastic Customer Support"

What do you like best?

We have been working with Bazaar Voice for 3 years or so, and are very happy with the platform itself as well as the Customer Support. Over the years we've enjoyed using the user friendly dashboard and having the ability to assist our customers in a quick and efficient way by accessing the Workbench. Responding to both reviews and questions is very easy and UI is user friendly. We are also very satisfied with the Customer Service provided by BV. Every time we had any issues with the syndication or uploading the feed files, the tickets were resolved very quickly and usually limited to a two-three email exchange.

What do you dislike?

We have received some complaints from our customers about their reviews not being visible only to find out that they were deemed as fraudulent by the Review Department? It would be great to receive some sort of notification that such process is taking place, if possible.

Recommendations to others considering the product

We highly recommend BV. It's a reputable company with knowledgable staff and solid technology that will help your product gain more legitimacy by sharing your customer reviews across many retailers. The actual setup itself is not complicated as long as your point of contact is familiar with basic coding and has access to the backend of the site.

The main benefit we get from BV is the review syndication, which allows us to share people's opinions about our product across all of the retailers we are currently in.

"BV is the best in the biz"

What do you like best?

I like the syndication feature best since it allows all reviews to show across all retailers. It's very easy for me to communicate with customers when they ask questions on our retailers' sites. I used to have to go digging on individual sites in order to respond.

What do you dislike?

I don't like how expensive it is compared to others. There is value in the price, but I'm not sure it justifies being thousands of dollars more per year than their competitors.

If you deal with a lot of retailers, consider adding the "Connections" feature.

With so many retailers carrying our products, it's handy to have review-management all in one place. This feature have saved us a ton of time.

"Great and trustworthy tool for us in showing product reviews"

What do you like best?

I like the professional approach the Bazaarvoice team has in the startup and integration process of going live with their tool. I also like the features and flexibility we have with the Product Reviews and Q&A products. The moderation service is doing a good job, and I like how the product reviews are helping us with enriching the text we have on our website for SEO reasons.

What do you dislike?

I would like to be able to see graphs based on product reviews we have gathered, across different languages. Meaning, when we collect info about what kind of usage areas the products are being used in, I would like to be able to see that for either one product, category or across all products. Think we now have to export it and make it ourselves to see this info. Would be great to have in the system, not needing to export.

"If you want to increase reviews, Bazaarvoice is for you"

What do you like best?

The review dashboard and summary screens are very useful. We use them quite often to give a high level view of product and review performance. The reporting, especially the automated reporting, are great for sending custom reports to the necessary people.

What do you dislike?

We have had some issues getting adequate help from customer service. We have had outages and lapses in service with Curations that we were not immediately made aware of and then had a lot of trouble getting resolved. Customer service is usually quite good at following up with an email and/or phone call, but in this one instance we were disappointed.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We use Bazaarvoice Conversations to gather reviews from customers as well as reply to them when necessary. We also use the reporting and analytics provided by Bazaarvoice to inform decisions about our ecommerce strategy. Our old review platform was not providing us the ability to gather more reviews or get any meaningful data from them. Bazaarvoice has changed that.

"works fine for reviews and questions, but the system is not user friendly"

What do you like best?

I like that the system syndicates content to our retailer customers based on UPCs and the report it shows to attribute the effect of our website reviews on the retailer sites. The on page form is easy to use for customers.

What do you dislike?

The set-up is difficult due to high level of complexity for the data feeds. It is not compatible with our on-search provider due to the complexity of the XML output file.

Was not able to syndicate component reviews for bundle items listed on other site. Also, we could not associate a review of a product type to a similar item (example a different color), so if we discontinued a color, we lost that review content even though its relevant.

It is difficult to analyze the accuracy of the matching.

"Client Success team and customer service have been a highlight."

What do you like best?

The responsiveness and helpfulness of the Client Success team makes a difference. We likely would not see the value of Bazaarvoice without the consistent attention.

What do you dislike?

The Accounts Payable/Receivable have been a challenge over the years. There are ongoing errors with the invoicing information, so much so our Procurement and Finance dread working with their Bazaarvoice counterparts.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Bazaarvoice is not a "set it and forget it" platform. You need to not only think about the ongoing cost of the technology, but your ongoing communication plan and the corresponding content implications—letting consumers know they have the option to write a review and the subsequent leveraging of those 4-5 star reviews in your marketing.

We're working through how to quantify the value of a review and the impact it has on influencing in-store purchases. We haven't come to a concrete conclusion, but the initial results are promising.

"Easy Interaction"

What do you like best?

Bazaarvoice is very user-friendly in its interface design. We really like that user reviews are easy to scroll through because all the information is in one spot with no need to click in and out of them. It's also easy to customize your views based on certain search criteria to fit your needs.

What do you dislike?

They've really cranked up the amount of reviews that get approved by the Bazaarvoice team. Previously, we would look at each review that came through to decide if it should be posted or not (it's rare that we reject reviews, but some are warranted). While we can go back through them, it feels as though our use power has been taken away a bit.

Obtaining feedback and questions from customers about the products we sell. It's a great tool for our needs.

Like all companies, we have been hit by turnover and the retraining of account people takes time away from more important tasks.

"Great Partner To Work With"

What do you like best?

We have launched and re-launched online reviews on our website and have always had a great team to work with and everything launches with out any issues, unlike other 3rd parties we work with. We just launched a new tool and it was a seamless add to our site.

What do you dislike?

Workbench tool is a little cumbersome to navigate sometimes.

When comparing companies in the same arena, the moderation tools provided by BazaarVoice give them the edge every time.

We use BazaarVoice for online reviews and now Questions and Answers. Both have allowed us to really see what our customers think of our products and what information they need to make a purchase. We have taken these comments and made actionable changes to our site in response.

"Fantastic solution & outstanding customer partnership"

What do you like best?

Bazaarvoice is always innovating their platform and looking for new opportunities to leverage consumer reviews and content.

Their customer success teams are outstanding and put the clients needs first.

I've been a customer of Bazaarvoice since 2007 at a wide variety of different companies. I'd highly recommend their solution to anyone looking to leverage consumer generated content.

What do you dislike?

I don't have any dislikes. They've always provided great service and support and if issues arise they are quick to troubleshoot and solve the problem.

Allowing consumers to review and rate products so other shoppers can benefit from the experience of previous purchases is a must-have today.

"Great platform!"

What do you like best?

The ease of use and ability to navigate with much training. Customer service is responsive and helpful. The reporting is thorough and account team is always willing and able to assist and brainstorm ways to make the user experience better thus improving the reviews on your respective website.

What do you dislike?

There is a clear separation between the dashboard and the help center, two different platforms so its a bit cumbersome. I also would rather an option to contact support via phone, the system seems to want to send you through a ticket system which is great if you arent on a time crunch but more pressing needs would be better dealt with via phone.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Bazaarvoice has enabled us to track and monitor reviews for clients. The benefits of being able to track this has allowed us to plan our quarterly initiatives around goals to increase/improve review counts etc. The platform also allows us to easily monitor/respond to reviews in real time.

"Really positive experience on all fronts with Bazaarvoice"

What do you like best?

Personally working with Bazaarvoice for ove 2 years has been a real pleasure. As we renewed our focus on driving ratings and reviews, the team has facilitated requests, proposed ideas, looked for solutions and overall been a great partner.

What do you dislike?

The only thing that has been a challenge has been how strict Bazaarvoice are with ensuring that every review captured is from an authenticated reviewer. It makes it tough to capture reviews on customers behalf, though this also contributes to them being a trusted platform

Recommendations to others considering the product

Definitely recommend the product to anyone looking for a business solution to capturing and promoting ratings and reviews. The level of service is very good and account management goes above and beyond.

80% of our products are exclusively sold through us, so new customers wouldn't have tried them. as we are an online business with not store fronts, it's hard for them to know what they would like. Reviews give customers who haven't tried the wine an insight and increase conversion rates.

"Solid ratings + reviews platform "

What do you like best?

Bazaarvoice is a solid tool. I appreciate the strong human moderator team that keeps our published R&R content product-focused and on-topic. Over the last 7+ years, we've had a few dips in the road with our level of service, but are very happy with the support we receive now and the more immediate updates on their roadmap that we will leverage. If you are wanting a robust tool that connects the dots between customer reviews, shopper questions and social sharing - Bazaarvoice is worth a look for your org.

What do you dislike?

After upgrading to the latest platform version, we do miss some features (like customer photo image carousels) that now require a tool upgrade and some custom programming to re-create. I also wish there were more out-of-the-box templates to display content, although there is an API to play with if you are able to prioritize this with your design and UX team.

Be very clear in your business requirements as you work with your sales rep to ensure the current version of the software does, in fact, deliver on what you need as you are purchasing it.

"Best Review Syndication Platform Out There"

What do you like best?

We use Bazaarvoice primarily to dive into consumer insight through their reviews, and Bazaarvoice provides all of the necessary filters, analytics, etc. in their dashboards that is needed to successfully generate these insights. The platform is easy to use and the Bazaarvoice reps are friendly and always willing to help us out.

What do you dislike?

Of four of my brands, two are on an "older" platform. Consistency could be better, but otherwise the platform is great.

This is a definite must for any CPG or retail company. Reviews are a key part of the consumer's path to purcase in the digital age, and Bazaarvoice does a great job of syndicating reviews and putting them in front of the consumer. Sometimes, we even utilize the content on Bazaarvoice in social posts and across the web. A great platform!

"Takes the direct path to customer"

What do you like best?

BV is a simple to install solution that makes my website a place to connect with customers. What else is important?

What do you dislike?

I dislike the path it took for us to realize the value BV provides. For a long time we thought developing and maintaining our own in house solution was better and cheaper, turns out it was a bad customer experience that didn't completely meet our needs.

Look at the SEO value your current provider has built. This was a major factor for us. We thought we had much higher value than what we actually observed and the switch was beneficial.

We needed a place to capture product reviews in a way that was easy to aggregate, easy to monitor and provided our pages with SEO value. We also needed to have a simple two way conversation with customers, we solve that with the Question and Answers feature.

Very responsive to issues. Software and platform simple to use. A recognised brand. Best practices for collecting reviews and ratings

The reporting can be cumbersome. Some of your moderators are over zealous. Would like more flexibility re page designs and PIE designs

"Great partner"

What do you like best?

The tool is easy to use, very customizable, and the support team is very quick to respond. The approval process on reviews left seems to work very well also - rarely do we have a review flagged incorrectly.

What do you dislike?

Not much to say here. Seems to meet all my needs. Price would probably be it - it makes perfect sense for bigger brands, but for small brands, or for small retailers, it can be a barrier.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

The website traffic that we have shows a distinct difference in traffic that reads reviews on the site vs those that don't - and the visitors that do read the review convert at a distinctly higher rate than those that don't.

What do you like best?

BazarVoice provides a lot of data and processes/curates information so we can show in the website. So as a source of data, reviews, questions or curation of images it's great.

The support tends do be very disconnected from the reality and technical detail.

Sometimes the layout and paths to find the reviews can be a little confusing, especially when trying to order reviews in chronological order.

"Fantastic medium to communicate with consumers"

What do you like best?

The ability to respond to questions and reviews to better educate our consumers to the products we offer

What do you dislike?

There are times the notification to respond is delayed by days. I feel this is does not benefit the consumer as they have to then wait for my company to respond.

We are able to educate consumers to the proper use and application of our products. In addition we can request they contact customer care for additional assistance.

"Great platform once integrated to your website"

What do you like best?

I love the that our reviews are moderated by a person. The account management allows for easy management of reviews. The reviews display on product details is what I would expect from such platform and there is a way to match to brand color which is a plus.

What do you dislike?

Syncing products is a two steps process and you can not tell is the sync failed for a few hours or a day at time. For the cost I should be able to upload a file and know immediately if it failed. I have reached to Bazaarvoice about that issue and they did work on the issue but the process is still slow.

I recommend reviewing implementation with your initial set up agent and make sure all workflow is well understood.

Customer feedback on our products are very useful for us in planning new product launch and package design. When considering restocking certain products, it is helpful to hear from actual customers about their likes and dislikes.

"Very useful and well rounded program"

What do you like best?

Bazaarvoice does what I need it to. They have the most options that our company can actually utilize, and the most programs. We appreciate having a client success manager who comes to us with great knowledge and ideas. We have utilized the question and answer feature of the website with great success, and found the ability to respond quickly to customers feedback is helpful.

The knowledge center is huge with information, and we can find most answers to questions we have.

The program can be easily formatted to fit your needs. For instance, we routinely update the emails that are sent out after purchase, and can update them very quickly or even pause them if needed. The entire system is customizable, and

There is some turnover on the tech side of things and tech help can be inconsistent. We wish more of our major retailers could be syndicated to.

"Great product for collecting customer created content"

What do you like best?

Bazaarvoice is a great platform for not only Ratings and reviews and Q&A, but also for social curations.

What do you dislike?

It would be nice if the BV dashboard gave the user a bit more accessibility to customize some displays on site, maybe a WYSIWYG type solution.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

The use of customer generated content has opened new doors for us not only form a website stand point, but also use for our creative departments and marketing teams. The opportunities to leverage this content continue to grow.

"Good solid Partner"

What do you like best?

I think bazaarvoice is the leader in the review space. Their tools are easy to understand and manipulate. they have a wide network of clients and make it easy for us to communicate information from one another

What do you dislike?

Support can be spotty at times. There are many instances where we need Bazaarvoice to present solutions to technical problems and are met with a flat NO.

great company to work with. Their technical support is sometimes lacking but their product is far superior than any other I have come across

"Great tool for its purpose, but not without its hiccups"

What do you like best?

When the syndication edges are setup, everything works perfectly. Reports from the workbench are extremely helpful in troubleshooting.

What do you dislike?

No notifications back that there is a problem with setup. Customer service provides different responses to the same types of inquiries - does not seem to be a consistent solution/feedback between different reps. On occasion, have received rude responses.

Know what your service package includes and get it in writing in case the support team is unsure whether they can assist you in your inquiry.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

BV provides syndication from our 3rd party instance to brand websites and e-tailers which is exactly what we want. No fussing around with confusing settings, etc.

"The Power of Crowds"

What do you like best?

The ability to hear and see what consumers are experiencing and share that data within our organization for insights and advancement.

What do you dislike?

Streamlined reporting across all BV tools does not yet exist so many of the reports we pull require manual compiling. There's also a lack of visibility to reporting through Connections to see overall product review and Q&A data for our products at retail. It would be great to be able to build your ideal report and rather than run select Request and it would send the report and request to the retailer account for an approval. There could be a limit on qty per account.

Sales aide. We are providing product reviews to retailer sites via syndication to help conversion. These reviews are supplemented by our Sampling program to optimize marketing and sales efforts.

"Best In Class Client Services!"

What do you like best?

The BV Client Success and Tech Support teams are great partners! They're quick to respond, super helpful and provide lots of documentation for quick reference. The Client Success team are always available and open to teaching best practices to up and coming brands/clients. I think that the Workbench/Portal is also easy-to-use and provide lots of options for styling without affecting front-end code.

What do you dislike?

No major complaints. Lack of visibility in Basecamp was the only time I came across minor roadblocks, I think having more communication via email or quick calls is more effective especially when third-party developers are involved.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Customer engagement, traffic, and conversion by leveraging customer reviews and post-interaction emails.

"Good experience but needed design updates"

What do you like best?

I like how it integrates well within Salesforce for all of our B2C sites (Lehigh Outfitters, SlipGrips, and Lehigh Safety Shoes).

What do you dislike?

I wish that the overall design of Bazaarvoice was easier to navigate. Some of the sections to customize are hard to find.

We are able to curate reviews and better connect with our consumer base to drive sales and correct issues when a customer leaves a negative review.

"Bazaarvoice Review"

What do you like best?

I like how easy they have been to work with as we were rolling out the platform. They were very responsive anytime that we had a question.

What do you dislike?

At this time we don't really have anything that we truly dislike with the platform.

Adding Bazaarvoice to our product pages has helped increase customer confindence in our products. We have also seen very high conversion rates on these products as well.

"Great company, great staff, good innovation"

What do you like best?

I really like how BV makes it easy to manage R&R, questions about our products, etc ... The staff is always really helpful and the Bazaarvoice really helps you and guide you to get the best of the platform and your reviews

What do you dislike?

More flexibility in the display look and feel would be good, but I heard that there is some changes coming around this. More graphs and various reports would be nice.

We are harnessing the voice of the customer, making sure we answer their questions on time. We think Bazaarvoice as another way our customers can get in touch with our support as well. It also reassures the customer on the quality of the product he's purchasing

"Customer feedback automated "

What do you like best?

The fact that this product helps both the consumer and the seller. Consumers are eager to leave detailed and helpful reviews and Bazaarvoice makes it extremely simple for the retailer to identify trends and take action internally in addition to resolving issues directly with customers themselves. Customers feel that they are heard. The multiple different reporting summaries available to set up for automated distrobution. Each person in our organization receives the information he or she needs on a daily level (granular) and weekly/monthly (trends).

The ability to utilize the data and respond to customers in real time rather than through a portal.

Reporting can sometimes be inconsistent. I wish Amazon would hop on board!

Syncing reviews with our retailers- Helps drastically with volume and improved star rating.

Being able to respond to our customers- We have amazing feedback on our efforts to respond to every review written online. BV provides an eye on all our reviews and helps us give outstanding customer service.

"good global review solution"

What do you like best?

I like that I can easily approve and review reviews and Questions & Answers on the BV platform. I also like that I can easily change the look and feel and add and remove review topics of the review section on my website with the BV platform. I also love the syndication. I have BV on global sites and can syndicate with my other locales as well as with other retailers using BV.

What do you dislike?

I wish I could easily load reviews that I gather myself from customers.

More reviews = great for SEO and customer research = great for selling more products on my sites.

What do you like best?

Bazaarvoice lets us collect great content and reviews from our users that we can syndicate to our various retail networks.

What do you dislike?

I wish the live chat function in the support community was working. The last few times I have tried to use it, nobody has been online.

We are able to correct product flaws or better explain assembly steps if they are discovered through reviews we collect.

"Answer your customers questions with ease!"

What do you like best?

I love this service! Customers can ask questions about the products that are being sold online, and you can just respond right from the Bazaarvoice website. You don't have to go to the retailers website or anything. This also gives you full access to your product reviews, so if you receive a negative review, you can reach out and see if there is something that was fallen short on.

What do you dislike?

The notifications of the service can get a bit annoying. The emails will come in twos, and you'll get two each day for reviews and questions. Other than that, the service is phenomenal. I am not a huge fan of there not being a separate application from the website. It would be nice not to have to go to the website every time to answer questions.

Recommendations to others considering the product

This is perfect for improving your products and well and your brand. This is getting information straight from the customers that are buying your product. This gives you a chance to evaluate and make changes if necessary if enough requests are made on specifics of an item.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We sell a large amount of items on homedepot.com. This allows me to see questions that customers are asking on our products and gives me a chance to answer their questions. Also, it is good to see what type of reviews are coming in from the products and seeing and evaluating what needs to be improved on.

What do you like best?

I like the different offerings Bazaarvoice has for serving customer reviews up to our site. I don't think we are currently taking advantage of everything they can do for us but I see lots of potential when we do.

What do you dislike?

I don't really like the reporting that is offered up in the workbench. I don't think you can get really in depth with it as some would like to to make decisions on the health of our review program.

We haven't really solved any major business problems yet as I had said in the previous answer we are not leveraging them like we should.

"An efficient platform with excellent support"

What do you like best?

The User Interface is very intuitive. From a back-end perspective, managing reviews and setting up reports is a breeze. Controlling the front-end UI through the provided platform is easy and with each update continues to get easier. The stats that are provided within the system make report generation a simple task.

What do you dislike?

We've had maybe 1 Client Success Director that we weren't fond of a couple of years ago. However, since then we've come across nothing but the best.

I've personally researched their main competitors and nothing comes close to what Bazaarvoice has to offer.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We've mainly focused on review generation and gathering of consumer generated content. We're building strategies on how to better gather and use that content, and our current Bazaarvoice team has made that a lot easier.

"Never miss another customer question"

What do you like best?

Trying to find, organize and answer every customer question and review across multiple sales channels can be daunting if not impossible. I used to look at x amount of items each day on certain channels to make sure i would touch on all items at least once through out a week. Add in a vacation day and you may not get to a question in close to two weeks. The customers of today want answers now. Since implementing Bazaarvoice we do not miss any questions or reviews.

What do you dislike?

My dislike is when I add a new product to a certain sales channel. For some reason this is not auto updating and i will miss questions until i open a ticket to make them work. Otherwise this is perfect.

"Best service for capturing reviews"

What do you like best?

This company provides a clear, concise way to gather authentic reviews and allow us to curate images and more content than we could without this solution.

What do you dislike?

Not being able to cherry pick images attributed to reviews to show the best image from a customer first instead of whatever they uploaded first. Gathering content using their Curations program continues to present challenges to ensure we are getting everything that is attributed to us via mentions and hashtags.

There's no better partner to use to syndicate your reviews to retailers.

"Overall VERY happy"

What do you like best?

Everything is simple and easy to navigate while still being detailed and informative. The people at BazaarVoice are always willing to answer any questions I may have! Very impressed.

What do you dislike?

Moderation could be better. I’ve had a few reviews mention that they had a great experience with customer service and the review will get rejected just at the mention of customer service. Not a big issue though, every few weeks I just go through the rejected reviews and approve ones that I think should be approved.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We get to get a feel for what issues are occurring most along with what features people enjoy most. As well as a lot of information on the customers reason for purchasing from us.

"Grew our review volume/coverage dramatically!"

What do you like best?

My favorite aspect of Bazaarvoice is the collaboration. BV has best-in class tools for management and reporting of review content. But it is my work relationship with UGC experts that have helped our review program grow tremendously over the past year.

What do you dislike?

Some of the constraints we have with our program aren't necessarily due to BV but more to our set up and usage of their programs.

Our site traffic on mobile has surpassed our desktop traffic. BV is actively working on projects to make it even easier for customers to quickly and easily leave reviews (and lots of them) on mobile.

"Do the job but I don't recommand it"

What do you like best?

- Moderation

- Interface of managment/moderation (even if it has NOT changed a lot since 6 years)

What do you dislike?

- Support are not usefull and reply very slowly

- Response time of API is random

- There is no SLA on the Bazaarvoice API (It's provided as it !)

- No big evolution since 6 years

- SIze if the bazaarvoice widget ! (+ 250 Ko javascript and 35 http requests to only display a review !)

"Good, not great"

What do you like best?

My company's products are sold by a huge range of retailers/dealers, and we've long recognized the value of having a presence in product reviews. Bazaarvoice's format makes responding to product reviews a much simpler and more efficient process. Reviews are fed to you in a work list, so you don't have to visit each retailer's website to respond.

Branded responses to reviews (and product questions) also makes them standout so customers looking for the most informed response can quickly spot it.

BV's support path (Spark) is a good resource, though it does make the process feel a bit impersonal. That said, as impersonal as your support tickets begin, it's great to see exactly what progress has been made and all the communication you've received about the issue.

What do you dislike?

Bazaarvoice does suffer from some deficits. Filtering for reviews and questions is virtually worthless if you're trying to zero in on a specific product or group of products. The best you can do is filter by product ID, but different retailers will have different IDs for the same product, so even that is not intuitive or effective.

Speed of the product is slow on the average day, very slow on a bad day, and slightly better than slow on a good day. Loading more questions/reviews or refreshing a view can be time consuming.

Bazaarvoice's reporting is severely lacking. I need to use reports to track my team's responses for quality purposes. I also use this data to gauge productivity. However, report filtering doesn't allow you to filter by response date...only the date on which the review was posted by the customer. Although the spreadsheet you get DOES include the response date, this is inexplicably missing from report filters.

Thinking back on speed, reports take a VERY long time to pull, even when your date range is small and recent.

If you have multiple users who respond to items, there's also no user differentiation in reports. So unless you have your team members sign/initial their responses, there's no way to tell who wrote what when you look at a response report. This seems like an oversight since every user has their own unique login credentials.

Finally, you should consider what your retailer network will REALLY look like. My company has 1`5 retailers activated on our network, but more than 90% of our reviews come from just two of those dealers. Responding to questions is free with BV, but reviews require an upgrade to Connections Premium, so it's a good idea to check all your retailers' sites to see how many reviews they house and how active users are before paying for the upgrade.

Recommendations to others considering the product

The free version allows for product Q&A responses, so that's worth it. As I mentioned elsewhere in this review, you should visit retailers' websites to see review volume and activity before springing for an upgrade.

If your products don't receive many reviews, or if you only sell through one or two dealers, it may be more cost-effective to respond on the native site, though you'll be losing out on the visibility that a branded response affords you.

As many companies (especially those in the tech industry) are aware, many critical reviews can be attributed to product misuse or misinformation. Responding to reviews (and questions, for a more proactive approach) helps solve that by educating consumers who overlooked a feature they claim is missing or who simply don't want to use an owner's manual.

But responding to reviews is just as beneficial to potential customers as it is to the customers you're technically replying to. People shopping around for products frequently read through critical reviews to see where products fall short. Seeing a branded presence shows that you care as a company, but it also allows you to clear up misconceptions. Potential buyers have the opportunity to weigh other customers' complaints against the company response, which can mean the difference between a new purchase and a lost sale.

We've seen many product reviews upgraded after we respond. Users really appreciate that we are monitoring and educating.

"Excellent Platform"

What do you like best?

Bazaarvoice offers a wide range of features that are easily implemented into any custom build or situation. Allowing reviews of specific products to feed into multiple locations is a great feature that has been very helpful.

What do you dislike?

The multiple account sign-in pages can be a bit confusing. This could be solved by having one single sign on account used to log in for everything.

Bazaarvoice provides excellent analytics to show its value and ROI. With the increasing conversion rate of pages that include reviews, this platform was an obvious choice.
