**What do you like best about Act-On?**

Act-on is an easy to use marketing program from start to finish. Just place your text and images and you have a beautiful campaign in a few easy steps. I also like that they do a great job of listening to feedback. They have an advisory board, and conduct  regular surveys to make sure they're staying on track with clients and ahead of trends.

**What do you dislike about Act-On?**

I do miss when the support was easier to access. They still answer all of our issues, but sometimes we may have to wait.

**Recommendations to others considering Act-On:**

Sit down for a one on one demo with an account representative or attend a few of their webinars. It becomes very apparent that Act-On is focused on making their clients happy and more profitable.

**What problems is Act-On solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We do a lot of one-off emails and weekly newsletters in Act-on that require daily maintenance, however Act-on has given us the ability to automate items whenever possible. I've created systems for all of our onboarding processes from sending out emails with PDF's/links/forms, to notifying our internal staff via Salesforce of manual tasks that must be completed.

**What do you like best about Act-On?**

I really like the ease of use that Act-On provides, making it simple to pivot and change up campaigns. The intuitive and helpful design for drafting emails is great, and being able to learn from customer interactions to see which messaging is working within each campaign is valuable. It's also a plus that our salesforce can use it. The ability of Act-On to seamlessly connect and 'talk' to our Dynamics CRM is critical for our operations, and I'm confident it will integrate well when we switch CRMs. I appreciate the Act-On staff's willingness to listen to our concerns, help us out, and maintain open lines of communication. The ability to build, duplicate, or remove email drafts quickly without lag is truly awesome, allowing us to make efficient changes within 5-10 minutes.

**What do you dislike about Act-On?**

I'd love better real-time reporting on emails that are firing. To see which emails tied to which salesperson's contacts are firing daily and the data for those would be awesome. Also, having the ability to mass pause all email campaigns would be super cool. Changing the footer once and having that populate all emails would save a hassle that happens at the beginning of every year for me personally. The timeout could be longer; it's annoying to go back to my Act-On tab and see it timed out after what feels like a super brief period of time. It'd be cool to embed a video so it can play in the email instead of just linking a still from the video.

**What problems is Act-On solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Act-On to inform customers about our offerings and gain insights into their feelings to tailor messaging. It enhances our CRM connectivity, supports seamless campaign adjustments, and helps understand which messaging works.

**What do you like best about Act-On?**

I like that Act-On is constantly updating their software and their support is top-notch, with webinars and regularly scheduled client success hours to address any issues. They take feedback seriously and make updates to address pain points. The email builder in Act-On is top of its class, allowing me to preview on different devices, use dark mode, and control content visibility on mobile/desktop. It's a very strong feature and performs better than other email marketing platforms I've used.

**What do you dislike about Act-On?**

They are continuing to update the UI/UX and are doing it section by section. This can lead to some inconsistent experiences throughout the app in some sections that are not used as often like the lead prospector.

**What problems is Act-On solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Act-On helps us send newsletters and track customer interactions, enabling us to connect website activity with form submissions.

**What do you like best about Act-On?**

The more I use the platform, the more robust and intuitive it feels. I especially like how easy it is to create a landing page and set up an email notification for a specific form or RSVP. Overall, it makes life a little easier.

**What do you dislike about Act-On?**

Sometimes there are weird bugs that hinder the performance of act-on and hurts usability. One instance in particular was when form submission emails just didnt send because of a bug. Act-On quickly fixed it and their support was great but that was after the fact and we thought something broke on our end.

**What problems is Act-On solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I think Act-On solves the basic email automation and marketing problem that our company has had and what most companies face. Its a good tool if you know your way around it and the pricing is on par with most competitors. It also gives us seamless integration with our CRM MS Dynamics so that has helped.

**What do you like best about Act-On?**

Act-on has the best integration with Microsoft Dynamics. We were using Act-on and switched to HubSpot but had an awful experience with that integration. It was imperative that we needed to switch back to Act-on. I also am really impressed with the zoom webinar integration.

**What do you dislike about Act-On?**

the landing pages do not have many options. I would like to be able to move all content that is within one column into another column at one time instead of one piece at a time. I would also like to see some more content options.

**What problems is Act-On solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Act-on primarily to market to our B and C prospects. Act-on allows our sales team to see which prospects are receiving email communications from marketing campaigns through Microsoft Dynamics and how they are interacting.

**What do you like best about Act-On?**

I like the integration with our CRM, which allows me to automate bidirectional data updates in both platforms from Act-On. Most of all, I appreciate the support availability and turnaround, as questions or issues that arise can, for the most part, get addressed via chat very quickly.

**What do you dislike about Act-On?**

Challenges are that, maybe once every two years an automation will just stop working. This is discovered on my end, and I need to engage support to address. Sometimes this can take a few days to address. There is also a greater effort or time to value for some of the deeper features, such as progressive profiling. A more intuitive interface for deeper features would be very beneficial, as would having the platform do a better job of self-monitoring successful vs unsuccessful automation runs and notifying specific users. The initial setup of Act-On was technical and required a person to champion with different departments for their contributions.

**What problems is Act-On solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Act-On for customer journey insight, marketing automation, and data synchronization. It solves the problems of pre-conversion customer journey insight, personalization, and automation at scale.

**What do you like best about Act-On?**

Aside from the software itself, the collaborative, supportive, and solutions-oriented spirit of the team is something to be proud of. Whenever I have an issue or idea, the answer is always geared toward finding a solution. 

The software itself is great, and a big upgrade from our previous email provider. The email composer is easy to use, segmentation builder makes it possible to narrow down our audiences as tightly as we want, and automation features allow us to work more efficiently and reach our audiences strategically at the same time.

**What do you dislike about Act-On?**

As an email marketer, I find Act-On 's features very easy to learn and use, but some of the non-marketers and non tech-saavy folk in our network struggle to use and feel confident with certain aspects of the platform, like building segments, confidence in personalizations, and setting up dynamic content rows correctly. 

The pricing structure isn't perfect for our franchise business model (we don't have a use-case for sales users, which makes the bundles a bit tough to work with), and we don't have a full integration with our CRM, just a once-daily sync that occurs overnight. 

I also struggle with data studio, and with there was a more intuitive, user-friendly, visualized way to view marketing network data at the parent account level.

**What problems is Act-On solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Act-On works hard to help us find ways to use the platform to serve our franchise network, such as creating an account setup portal our team can use when we add franchise owners or locations to our network. They also helped us run a brand-level email initiative layered with the local messaging our network sends out, without double paying for active contacts, which is an ideal solution for franchise brands. They've also been actively listening t our "wishlist" suggestions to make things easier for us, like distributing our purchased marketing users between accounts ourselves, clearer taggingfor saved rows, tagging for emails for better filtering/reporting at the parent level, and plugging Snowflake into our internal MDW (which is currently being built).

**What do you like best about Act-On?**

I use Act-On to help with outreach and metric tracking, and it really helps eliminate the problem of tracking whether emails have reached their intended target or if they are being engaged with. I really like how accessible it is and the UI. The Outlook add-on is fantastic and the interface is very user-friendly. The software is extremely efficient and executes everything as promised. The UI is calm and minimal, which I like. The Outlook add-on makes it easy for me to know which emails are going to be contributing to my metrics. The Act-On team is always available and happy to help with any questions or issues I may have. The initial setup was very easy, and the onboarding team is great.

**What do you dislike about Act-On?**

Sometimes, emails will not send because the Act-On add-on is preventing it. This is something that I was told could happen from time to time, and it is a really easy and quick fix. It's not a big deal! It's the only constructive feedback that I have.

I use Act-On to help with outreach and metric tracking. It solves the problem of knowing if emails reached their target or were engaged with.

**What do you like best about Act-On?**

I really like the interconnectivity and the broad look at the data that Act-On provides, which helps us monitor campaign progress effectively. The forms feature is also something I enjoy because it aids in data collection. Act-On gives us a deeper understanding of who is and isn’t engaging with our initiatives, allowing us to capture leads and assess their quality. The customer service was fabulous during the setup process, with agents showing patience as we navigated the learning curve of the software.

**What do you dislike about Act-On?**

It could be a bit more user-friendly. There are many 'help guides,' but that only really helps if you truly understand exactly what you need help with, per se. As a fairly new user, some of the fixes feel more like workarounds. There are some functions that are basic with other tools that either don't exist or require a workaround on Act-On.

**What problems is Act-On solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Act-On for stakeholder communications, lead nurturing, and integrating social media via Oktopost. It helps gather data and judge lead status, providing a broad data look and campaign progress monitoring.

**What do you like best about Act-On?**

I like that we can customize the ads with Act-On, as we're in the education department and it allows us to see what grade level parents are interested in, their previous school experience, and the state they are in. The more information we have, the better we can help our leads and eventually make sales.

**What do you dislike about Act-On?**

I'm interested how it can have AI integration to make it easier to find hotter leads. I'm not sure, not a techy guy, but everyone is doing it, and Act-On should explore how to optimize with AI.

Act-On helps our sales department by filtering leads and allowing us to customize ads. This lets us understand our leads better and improve sales by focusing on relevant grade levels and past school experiences.

**What do you like best about Act-On?**

I like using Act-On for our email marketing because it allows us to communicate effectively with current customers and prospects. The single-user management capability of multiple email accounts makes our company run more efficiently. I appreciate the ease of use, and the fact that we've used it for years helps us leverage historical data to evaluate performance year over year. It provides a good benchmark for measuring growth in our email programs. I also like that Act-On connects and shares data with NetSuite, which seems to work well. The email design tool was recently improved, making it easy to use. They have introduced some new AI tools and insights, although these come at an additional cost.

**What do you dislike about Act-On?**

Initially, there seemed to be a lack of training resources with Act-On, however, this has improved. I wish the new AI tools and insights were included in the base package rather than being an additional charge.

**What problems is Act-On solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Act-On allows us to communicate effectively with customers and prospects. One person can manage multiple email accounts, making our company run more efficiently. We also use historical data to benchmark and show growth in our email programs.

**What do you like best about Act-On?**

I use Act-On for lead capture, email marketing, and automation. It encompasses all of our lead gen needs, allowing us to track performance and nurture leads from the top of the funnel to their application, instead of just running ads and hoping for conversions. I find Act-On particularly strong in its segmentation; it's easy to create segments based on any data field, which is a primary use for us. There's not much I feel Act-On can't do. Additionally, the initial setup process was smooth when my team first adopted it, with most issues stemming from our CRM. I also appreciate that Act-On connects with our CRM, Ellucian Recruit, to sync contacts and instantly add new ones from form submissions.

**What do you dislike about Act-On?**

My main gripe with Act-On is how emails work in the automated programs. If you use an email template to create a message in an automation, then it creates a separate instance of that email. So, if we have to update information or change out the content in said email, we have to edit it twice: once in the automated program, and once in the email template (to keep it current). I really wish they were directly linked, so we only had to edit the template in one place. Also, the connection with Ellucian Recruit is a bit more limited.

Act-On handles all our lead generation needs, tracking performance and nurturing leads from initial contact to application.

**What do you like best about Act-On?**

I like Act-On because the UI makes it very easy to understand and use. It's user-friendly for all team members, depending on what they are using it for. Even when something is not easy to understand, customer service is amazing and ready to help out. Act-On provides speed and efficiency in my processes, unlike Pardot, which had an older interface.

**What do you dislike about Act-On?**

We had some struggles with implementation and certain things we tried to do. During our sales process, we were told it was able to do what we needed, and when we got implemented, we had some road bumps based on things we were under the impression were easy to do.

**What problems is Act-On solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Act-On as our CRM to send emails and segment contacts, streamlining integration with Salesforce. It solves speed and efficiency issues I had with Pardot, offers a user-friendly UI, and has great customer service support.

**What do you like best about Act-On?**

I use Act-On for email and setting up forms. The composer is easy to use, and I like that I don't have to go somewhere else to upload pictures. Building off of previous emails is really easy. I also find it very easy to learn.

**What do you dislike about Act-On?**

I would like to be able to drop Data-studios reports into a shared folder with my team on our one drive, but that seems pretty far fetched.

**What problems is Act-On solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Act-On's easy-to-use composer keeps everything in one place, allowing me to upload pictures directly and access reports easily by clicking the sent message roll-up report. I like how straightforward it is to build off previous emails.

**What do you like best about Act-On?**

It is very easy-to-use software, and it’s so user-friendly for marketers who don’t use technology a lot. its customer support is really appreciable it does not involve any hidden costs

**What do you dislike about Act-On?**

There are cheaper alternatives in the market, so I feel this could be a bit more affordable if the price were reduced slightly. It works well with most software, like Oracle, but I’ve heard it doesn’t work as well with custom-made software.

**What problems is Act-On solving and how is that benefiting you?**

There are times when an interaction with a lead could be forgotten, but Act-on tracks each and every interaction, scores them based on their willingness to buy, and sends reminders to call again and follow up.

**What do you like best about Act-On?**

I find Act-On easy to use and value the excellent technological support they provide. It allows for efficient distribution of information, which is crucial for our needs. For our purposes, Act-On is an effective resource to interact with our constituents. I also appreciate how the email agent, website visitor, and database features are important tools for Acendas Travel. The initial setup was fairly easy, and I was always able to connect with customer support for any questions.

**What do you dislike about Act-On?**

The layout of the newsletter is not Wysiwyg - What You See Is What You Get -- all the time. I know that might depend more on the Gmail or Outlook platform.

**What problems is Act-On solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Act-On allows for efficient distribution of information and is easy to use with excellent tech support. It's effective for interacting with our constituents.

I find Act-On incredibly useful for my email marketing needs, particularly for sending out subleases and sales in commercial real estate. The setup process was straightforward and easy for me, thanks to my graphic design background. One of the standout features is the ability to track who opens my emails and use this information strategically to reach out to brokerages, allowing for more effective business development. The tracking and scoring system provides invaluable insights into our client interactions. Additionally, the automated email features are a game-changer, enabling me to schedule weekly emails in advance, which enhances my productivity. **What do you like best about Act-On?**

What I like best about Act-On is how easy it makes marketing automation feel. **What do you like best about Act-On?**

Act-On has several functionalities -- triggered emails, scheduled deployments, nurture campaigns, forms and more -- that allow marketing teams to achieve a variety of goals. I have yet to find a task that can't be achieved with Act-On, although I may need to ask their team for guidance. I enjoy being able to preview an email on mobile and desktop, test it with any email addresses I want, easily add new "from" email addresses, schedule sends, and review detailed analytics after deployment.

**What do you dislike about Act-On?**

Act-On is pretty costly, so if you're not utilizing all of its functions, it might not be worth it to invest. There could also be some more explanations/warnings in the system. For example, I once rearranged the order of our subscription lists, not knowing it would screw everything up. There was no warning or message given and it wasn't until I mentioned it to an Act-On rep that I learned how severe my action was. Also, the support team is very helpful when I have a question or issue, but I would love if they could be more proactive. We have monthly calls with them but they typically just ask if we have questions and share upcoming webinar dates. I'd rather they offer ideas for underutilized functions, provide tips to increase open/click rates and compare stats to industry benchmarks, inform new staff of all of Act-On's capabilities, etc. Lastly, I'd love if we could (1) hand-select several emails and get combined performance metrics for them and (2) add more users without additional cost.

Act-On gives us an easy way to communicate with a variety of people for a variety of reasons, from reminding partners to pay their fees to sending general content newsletters to consumers.

Other platforms are great for getting started but if you've outgrown more basic email-sending platforms it's time to level your game and strategy.

Sometimes the CRM integration seems to have issues and I've seen some errors synching our contact database. And while the new email composer is great and allows for mobile and desktop designs, sometimes it has trouble detecting which device it's sending to and will show both designs to a user.

Getting key promotional messaging to the right audiences at the right times / this leads to funnel growth and brand strengthening

It has a much more intuitive design interface allowing for more flexibility and customizations to your emails.  We're also launching a brand new email template library to allow you to easily pull a modern email template and edit to your liking.
