What do you like best about Float.com?

Very easy and simply designed interface and software, I like the way it can keep a mass of information but all of which is easily found if needed. Specific people places and times just moments away. A super useful resourcing tool for us here. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Float.com?

We use Float to schedule tasks across our team, ranging from tasks that take a few hours to complete, to projects that take multiple days or weeks. It gives us the ability to see who is available for scheduling, and allocate (or reschedule) work coming in. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Float.com?

We have duplication between Float and our team's Google calendars, but at different levels of granularity, so we can't automate synchronisation. We haven't been able to resolve that, so team members still need to book the work in their calendars as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Float.com?

Being able to collaborate on the schedule. We set milestones and deliverables, HR look after employee leave, and float just gives us all that information on one screen. Makes it super easy to forsee bottlenecks, and deal with them in advance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Float.com?

Ordering small slivers of work if you're doing less than a quarter of a day at a time can be fiddly, but since our scheduling is more often than not only half a day or full day at a time, this isn't something we typically have an issue with. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

- There were couple glitches and numerous updates in January but that is resolved now

- Previously performance was not great, but there are great improvements recently on that part

- Adding holidays could be easier

What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?

We are using Float in our organization to manage resource allocation and we have been using it for the last 3 years. It has been mostly great and enhanced our resource allocation amazingly and provided great visibility into resourcing across different programs and into the future. We use Float to track Holidays and vacation across all regions (worldwide), we use it to forecast allocation and revenue across the team per each project. Permissions are straightforward and allow us to control what we want. We can keep projects as tentative while awaiting for the contract and still allocate people to provide visibility into anticipated resourcing load. Overall Float has been great for us and I would recommend it to any organization providing services and focused around resourcing their team. Setting up the set time of appointment can sometimes result in unintended consequences as a result of how I'm used to setting up appointments in most other software. you must state the time in am and pm otherwise the software will assume an am time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
