As a developer the sidetracking is easy. So we've got engineers but instead Float. Float doesn't only help me remember track of what I'm doing and what I can do it, and that also lets me keep count as to what other coworkers do. Particularly now, because homeschooling is indeed the new standard, it's very easy to test if one of my teammates is busy, and whether they may have any room from my. It all without installing 20 filters, and handling a complicated UI. I think the integration of this software with our time sheet tool might be more valuable. Refreshing the page may sometimes induce several other documentation to go lost. Float is a lovely way to keep tracks of daily and weekly tasks. It is minimal and polished with just the right features needed. I think it would be more beneficial to be able to integrate this software with our timesheet tool. Sometimes refreshing the page can cause some information to get lost. it's super easy to view our studios schedule and see what projects myself and team members will be working on. It allows us to easily coordinate on projects and show our clients our availability to book in future work. It can be quite clunky to reorganise projects and can sometimes be confusing to understand the reports section as there is a lot of information to process on the one page. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Float has really robust, one or two button press financial reports - you can get a really accurate report per project, per quarter or per annum to allow really good profit and loss figures that are accurate to the hour.

It is very good in the way it allows quick blockouts of time for the planning of things like feature development and also details and notes within individual tasks.

The most important factor is browser based, one stop shop of visibility for all team to allow best possible visibility for inter discipline dependencies. Outsource schedules can be added too. It's really simple to mark individual team members as users or admins to allow the right people access to the schedule and get visibility wide across the team.

I like the clean layout and the simple interface. It allows easy implementation of placeholder and actual holiday and sickness/annual leave.

It is very quick and easy to use with a clean UI, simple to set up projects with unique colours which can be really useful when looking at a schedule with multiple projects on the go concurrently. As mentioned the browser based nature is important and allows to have a tab open and quickly switch between other work and checking the schedule or answering questions regarding work marked up in float. Obviously having the information stored cloud based is also secure against server failures.

There were lots of products on the market, but Float stood out from the rest for being very user friendly, responsive to queries and feedback, and for a good price.

One of the features we would like to see is different budget currencies available on the same team. Currently you can have one currency per team, but multiple teams. The simplicity and immediacy of the timeline interface is massively important for digesting and understanding an often hectic and clogged schedule. Customisation of clients, projects and tasks means that we can see, at a glance, exactly what clients and projects we are working with - it takes a lot of the project management stress out of the process for teams like mine, who need to focus on their own tasks at hand. I think there could be more options to input information within the tasks in a schedule - although there is a notes section, it would be great to see more integration with other platforms like the Google suite (Drive, slides, docs) that could streamline our process even more. It is important to emphasize that in spite of the strengths that Float contains it also presents some difficulties that although it is certain it is something common within the tools of management of resources and planning of projects and it is that always at the beginning of the implementation of the tool the process of learning is a little confused since the explanations are not well implied for a total understanding, in addition that if it is not configured totally well at the beginning by getting to present/display a lack of pursuit of the tasks that are executed in real time Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
