"Acumatica Delivers Flexibility and Scalability for Global Growth"
What do you like best about Acumatica?

I love that Acumatica is truly cloud-based, making accessibility seamless for our global teams. The generic inquiry (GI) feature is a game changer, allowing even non-technical users like me to build custom reports and dashboards easily. Its intuitive web interface makes onboarding new employees quick, and the scalability means we can grow without being handcuffed by the ERP system. What do you dislike about Acumatica?

Honestly, there isn’t much to dislike, but the process of migrating from our old system was complex, especially consolidating customers from multiple databases. Integrating new acquisitions and handling multi-currency, multi-tenant setups required extra effort and some creative workarounds, but Acumatica’s flexibility helped us address these challenges. What do you like best about Acumatica?

Customer Centric Mentality. Acumatica is the most adaptable ERP System I have ever had the pleasure to introduce to the Companies I have worked for. The sheer ease of use, ease of training and the overall homey feel of Acumatica comes top of mind.

It has been clearly built for the Cloud by Accounting, Operations, Procurement, Sales and Admin people on the Team. Every detail has been thoroughly tested and where there is a shortfall, Acumatica takes Ownership and works to clean whatever Issue up quickly and to the Customer's Satisfaction. What do you like best about Acumatica?

We’ve had a largely positive experience with Acumatica. The platform is reasonably priced, especially given the breadth of functionality it offers. It’s also highly customizable and scalable, which has allowed it to fit the specific needs of our industry and continue to adapt as our organization grows.

A major advantage for our team has been how well Acumatica integrates with Excel and Velixo. Being able to import and export data easily, build reports, and work within a familiar Excel environment has made our financial reporting and analysis much more efficient.

We’ve also found the support team to be responsive and helpful, which matters a lot when implementing new workflows or refining existing ones in a system as robust as an ERP.

What do you like best about Acumatica?

I really appreciate that Acumatica supports our entire business from lead management to sales orders and fulfillment. I find it flexible, easy to use, yet operationally robust and functional. The richness of the product requires more serious support from Acumatica that we seem to have difficulty accessing, at times. We currently use Acumatica as our VAR, and they have structural issues that have led to a negative experience. The transition from Sage 100 was initially painful, taking 3 years to convert. Pricing can add up as we scale, especially once we started adding more modules. Some integrations also take more effort than we expected and aren't always as plug-and-play as we'd hope.

What do you like best about Acumatica?

I really appreciate Acumatica's automation capabilities and the ability to view data just the way we need to see it. We utilize business events to notify users in real-time or to make real-time changes using import scenarios. The data visualization aspect is also significant for us. After rolling out Manufacturing, we created dashboards that show our line efficiency, allowing us to review our BOMs and evaluate accuracy in labor, which helps us decide on necessary changes. What do you like best about Acumatica?

What do you dislike about Acumatica?

It's difficult to use Acumatica to its fullest potential in my organization. The system has cumbersome reporting, so we rely heavily on external financials for reporting. The out-of-the-box reports do not work, and we struggle to address our issues within the system. Existing reports do not run, so we have to use ARM to create our own, and my team is not very savvy beyond Excel. Modules need to be set up individually, which adds too much overhead. Customizations that could improve operations, like dashboards and GIs and AI, require a coding background that my team lacks. It's hard to find a setting toggle or key item, which makes it almost unusable. We spend too much time looking for answers externally. There's minimal support for optimizing the software, and our business branches were set up in a non-GAAP compliant way, which complicates things. First, I am glad to hear that you like the user interface, the ability to upload entries, and the Velixo connectivity. It is great that our ERP solution provides a solid record-keeping foundation for your accounts payable, accounts receivable, and journal entries.

However, because our system is so flexible, early structural mistakes make everything else feel incredibly difficult. You should not have to manage these errors alone. I strongly suggest working with your current certified partner—or reaching out to your Acumatica Customer Success Manager—to untangle that initial setup. A good partner will help you fix the core structure so your team can stop fighting the software.

I also completely understand your struggles with reporting, ARM, and system customizations. While these tools do have a learning curve, you can find free, step-by-step training on the Acumatica Open University. We built specific courses for everyday users to help them master these reporting tools without needing a developer.

I appreciate Acumatica's mobile access in a world that increasingly requires EASY access from anywhere. It's a nice change from our legacy system, which had matured to the point where growth was stunted. I also like that Acumatica is a young product with plenty of room to grow. What do you dislike about Acumatica?

More reports available out of box at implementation are desperately needed-new customers learning a new system do NOT need to have to learn how to do a GI or master reporting software just to get the data they need. The report designer lacks much to be desired... complete overhaul is in order. Lack of basic out-of-box reports was a big headache and stressor.
