Velixo Reviews & Product Details

I'm a business analyst where I work. As a result I am not as much of a daily user of Velixo as others in the company. I do however still use it and I am the only "admin" for it. Basically, if the team needs a new report or way to use Velixo, it's me they look to to create it. As a result, I feel uniquely equipped to speak to its value as both a user and someone who configures its use for others.

Our team is much more familiar with Excel than any ERP. As a result, Velixo gives them data in a format they are already familiar with and know how to use.

What I like best is how all of that connects to the true power of Velixo, which is a live connection to our Acumatica database. We don't have to struggle through dated reports because we can pull the data in as it updates through Velixo. That provides flexibility that is more difficult to create natively in Acumatica. The only thing I would like to see "improved" or even just added as a feature is a change the Drilldown function. Currently, the Drilldown pulls up another sheet, but rather than just pull in a list of the transactions or relevant data, it hyperlinks to Acumatica. This is fine. You get to the data. But you have to go into Acumatica to see the data you really want. And then you have to export back to Excel if you want to re-arrange it in any way. I like the flexibility Velixo offers and how much time it saves us. It has made our team more efficient in everyday tasks, especially in the budgeting process where we are saving about 100 hours of manual work. The automation feature removes the need for running and exporting multiple reports in Acumatica, which eliminates manual, useless work. Velixo simplifies everything for us, whether it's corporate tax accruals, Employer Health Taxes, entering bills, or AR. We had basic functionality set up within a few hours. We have multiple sets of financial statements for budgeting, audit working papers and monthly financial statements. When accounts are added in Acumatica or account reclassifications occur each set of statements must be updated manually. Maybe we are doing something wrong. Also, one of the limiting factors for us are the generic inquiries in Acumatica that need to be created manually. Often times they are complex to create, and we need to rely on external help. I really like Velixo's native Excel format, which lets me write formulas in a familiar environment. It also connects directly to live data, making it very friendly and easy to use. The setup was very easy, and it provides a lot of functionality that isn't readily available in other products. I think the understanding of the Acumatica dataset in Velixo could be improved. If there's a way to enhance the visibility of what's available in Acumatica within Velixo, I think it would make the product a whole lot easier and better to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It's completely integrated with Acumatica and I get to use my Excel skills. Reports are professional looking, easy to keep updated saves me HOURS every month so I don't have to export data, reformat it and then analyze. If I need some quick information Velixo is the first place I look to get it, I go to Velixo daily, maybe even more often than Acumatica. And the distribution feature is the best - saves so much time and automatically changes the parameters on my reports to distribute to the correct department.

The latest feature of the built in query has really expanded the functionality of the product beyond its outstanding features. The ability to use excel as my base for Acumatica has been a time saver and made the learning curve much easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

My only complaint about Velixo used to be that I had to rely on GI’s in Acumatica to gather the data I needed. The recent query feature has really changed that for me. At this point, I don’t have any real dislikes. I do run into the occasional connection issue, but it’s more of a minor annoyance and it’s usually easy to resolve. I like using Velixo as our primary bridge between Acumatica ERP and Excel-based financial and operational reports, since it enables live, refreshable access to ERP data without manual exports or fragile workarounds. It primarily solves the challenge of getting reliable, real-time data out of Acumatica. The value compounds over time as we can structure reports and just refresh our important financial reports, saving time when it matters most. I really like the report building features of Velixo. It allows me to have reports already built in Excel format, which cuts down on precious time for a financial analyst. Velixo imports the information in the way we need it and eliminates extra steps like logging in, generating reports, exporting to Excel, and reformatting data. This automation is particularly useful for complex reports like the Top 10 Projects by PM report. I find the flexibility of Velixo impressive. It's much easier to format reports the way I want compared to Acumatica's native report designer. I love using Velixo to seamlessly extract information to Excel and then integrate it with Acumatica using the generic writeback. The platform's flexibility allows me to create more featured dashboards for management in PowerBI, which are more robust than Acumatica and Excel's limited pivot tables. I also find the distribute feature incredibly useful; it lets me save the monthly financials both in live Velixo formula versions and non-formula versions for those without Velixo. I find the connection with Velixo not very consistent. I often have to click the add-in button to close Velixo, close all my Excel tabs, and hope that reopening will fix the error. I would also like more native formulas for dealing with different branches and companies within the same Acumatica account. Additionally, Velixo Classic and Velixo NX handle errors differently, which modifies formulas, and it would be better if this could be unified. I enjoy using Velixo because it's great to be able to pull data from Acumatica and use formulas and Power Query to produce usable reports. I appreciate that Velixo updates data every time you refresh, ensuring the data is accurate while saving us time we would otherwise spend pulling reports and reformatting data. Velixo is versatile, allowing me to use it for forecasting reports, bulk data imports, and combining data with other reports. I wish there were more templates for inventory, forecasting, and other purposes for Acumatica. There seems to be a decent amount for Accounting, but I would like to see more. I use Velixo for updating Excel documents with real-time data from Acumatica. I love how it instantly pulls data in seconds that would otherwise take hours of data mining or report writing. It instantly updates upon refresh, pulling the live data from Acumatica, which is incredibly time-saving. I also appreciate that Excel files can be linked to other files for real-time analysis, which is crucial for our project-based company to keep track of actual versus budget in real-time. This feature is invaluable as it helps keep our projects on track financially. The implementation was easy for my team to use even though the initial setup was done by the IT company.
