The most helpful tool is the writeback feature. My accounting team uses is to book journal entries which we just input in excel and then post through the writeback function. This allows us to set up an entire spreadsheet with multiple tabs for each entry, make monthly updates quick, and post them. My project managers use it for their WIP cost-to-complete calculations and they use the writeback feature to upload their latest forecast. This saves me a significant amount of time as I can pull their latest forecast without having to open a separate workbook for each project. We just recently went live with Intacct but Velixo is already saving me about 8 hours of work at month-end. **What do you dislike about Velixo?** I find it easy to use as I'm good at following formulas, however sometimes other users have a hard time troubleshooting issues. It's typically something I can find easily by unhiding cells with certain formulas. It eliminates the need for time consuming manual exports and gives me full control over how I analyze and present my data all while ensuring the numbers are always up-to-date. This saves hours of work each week and improves decision-making across the board. **What do you dislike about Velixo?** One downside is that it has a learning curve for users who are not already comfortable with Excel functions or who are unfamiliar with the ERP system it’s connected to. Additionally, because Excel based, very large or complex reports can sometimes slow down performance, especially if there are a lot of live data connections. Another limitation is that while Veo is excellent for reporting it’s not designed for data entry or making changes directly in the ERP, it’s read only. Lastly, users need to ensure they have the proper permissions and connection settings, which can occasionally lead to troubleshooting issues during set up. **What problems is Velixo solving and how is that benefiting you?** As a controller, Velixo helps me solve a range of business problems, tied to financial reporting, data integrity, and time management. One of the biggest issues it addresses is the inefficiency of manual reporting. With Velixo, I can pull live ERP data directly into Excel and build customized financial reports without exporting and reformatting data each time, this saves hours of work during month and close and improves turnaround time for executive report. Velixo also solve the problem of disconnected data. Because the reports are always linked to real time ERP data, I can ensure decision makers are looking at the most current and accurate numbers, reducing the risk of errors from outdated spreadsheets. Additionally, Velixo, helps with consolidating multi branch or multi company financials. Instead of juggling multiple exports or manually, combining data, I can roll everything up within an Excel using smart formulas. This makes variance analysis, forecasting, and budget comparisons, much more streamline and reliable. Overall, Velixo turns Excel into a powerful, dynamic financial dashboard.
