I like the cloud based software and the tabs in the project module have alot of good data. Relatively ease to use for an accountant, my project admin staff is struggling a bit to understand the nomenclature used and frankly at times it confused me. **What do you dislike about Acumatica?** I do not feel the reporting in ACUMATICA is well thought out. It does not appear to have been created by end users in mind. The canned reports are not often perid sensitive based, especially in the projects module. the purchase orders process is not ideal as if a line is not closed before marking the po complete, the line shows open in many areas of ACUMATICA. The proposal function is unappealing and customers have stated that is looks terrible. And if you are a construction company with alot of invoices and PO the AP module is not functional and an add on is required. Well integration was tough mostly because we needed to integration PROCORE and we changed payroll providers as the same time and went to WFG. I would never recommend this to anyone but it had to be done. **What problems is Acumatica solving and how is that benefiting you?** Trying to have ACUMATICA help solve our poor project reporting options in our old SAGE 300 program and have better access to detailed transactions and data than SAGE 300. ### 20. The kind of large corporation that has an entire building full of IT professionals who will design and customize every user facing screen the average employee might see. This is NOT a turnkey platform. It's the engine hidden underneath whatever glossy exterior you can imagine. The problem is, right out of the box, you don't even have that engine yet. You'll get the parts for that engine. And there's not "some" assembly required. It's ALL assembly is required! The nuts and bolts you need for that assembly are like a giant basket of scrabble tiles each containing a word that only software engineers can understand. You quickly find out your only option is to pay enormous sums of money just to make the engine run. Congrats, you now have the equivalent of a moped and you're trying to drive on the highway. So you pony up and ask them to assemble a car. It arrives but wait.. no wheels? I'm sorry, wheels are extra. I know this is a silly analogy, but it's pretty close. I'm an accountant with 25 years of experience. In all my travels, I've never come across software that's both so vast yet can't do the most basic things when you first install it. I appreciate the ability to have multiple types of orders (sales order, return orders...) **What do you dislike about Acumatica?** The order entry, shipping, and customer portal are all quite cumbersome. Their "device hub" software for printing does not work on Macs so it is an annoying process to print packing slips and shipping labels. I wish all of the order entry fields were visible at once instead of having to go through different tabs. Some of the international shipping carrier integrations generate forms that could cause customs problems, we have brought this up to Acumatica and they don't seem to understand or care that they are incorrect. The auto packaging function only takes total volume into account, (not length, width, and height) which is not useful unless you are shipping water or something that will conform to the box size... The customer portal is very rudimentary, basically just a catalog. You can't see a photo of the product until you actually click on it, which can be confusing if you have multiple products with similar SKUs like we do.
