I like Calendly for the convenience and time savings it brings to scheduling. It turns a usually slow and repetitive process into something quick and seamless. What do you dislike about Calendly?

Calendly works very well overall. But there are a few areas where it could be improved. At times, some of the more advanced features can feel limited unless you move to higher tier, which may not be ideal for smaller teams or users with simpler needs. It would also be helpful to have even more flexibility in customization, especially for branding, booking pages, and meeting workflows. What problems is Qualified solving and how is that benefiting you?

1. Clear-eyed responses during a time of change: Renaming a large volume of products as part of a rebrand and spin-off could lead to confusion among our large existing customer base. PiperX understands all the changes we've made and knows all of our rebranded content and website better than any one person could. This means customers and prospects get clear answers during a time of change and find information without having to search through websites and resource libraries.

2. Activating valuable deep content for personalized nurture is a huge gain compared to static content suggestions for an enterprise company with many solutions & products.

3. Visitor insight: reading through conversations gives access to valuable customer insights.

What do you like best about GReminders?

The AI Note Taker and the pre-meeting brief summary generator have been especially valuable. These features save us a lot of time each day, help us stay organized, and make meeting preparation much more efficient.

The appointment reminders and scheduling tools have also been extremely helpful. Being able to automate them in advance has improved consistency and reduced the need for manual follow-up.

This isn’t really a dislike, but I’d like to see more file-sharing programs integrated. Right now, Dropbox is the only option available for clients to upload documents prior to a meeting. We’ve had a great experience using GReminders as part of our workflow every day. The AI Note Taker and pre-meeting brief summary generator have been especially valuable. Both features save us a lot of time, help us stay organized, and make meeting preparation much more efficient.

The appointment reminders and scheduling tools have also been extremely helpful. Being able to automate these ahead of time has improved consistency and reduced manual follow-up.

One thing I’m especially looking forward to is even deeper integration with Redtail CRM, which will make the workflow even more seamless for our team.

What do you like best about Novi AMS?

Novi is more than just software; it is a community of associations who are all welcoming, collaborative, and willing to share their insights. What has stood out to us since the beginning, including during onboarding (2019), is the level of customer support they provide and how responsive and supportive the team is. Anytime I’ve had a question or needed help, they’ve been quick to jump in and make sure things get resolved. I also really appreciate the community of other associations using Novi; it’s welcoming, collaborative, and a great place to learn from peers.

The software itself is reliable, with strong features and robust reporting that make our work easier. We can configure a multitude of features to fit the specific needs of our association, rather than feeling boxed into a one-size-fits-all model. All features and updates are included in the price with no upselling or "nickel and dime"-ing. It’s very clear that Novi listens: our feedback actually shows up in product updates, which come regularly and make a real difference in how we use the system and can serve our members.

We've easily integrated with multiple other vendors for a robust connection of data and varying levels of member access to a variety of resources.

Their pricing is transparent and worth every penny (and then some). It was a noticeable increase in cost from our previous AMS, but Novi is an absolute game changer. It changed the course of my own career; I used to spend a good amount of time manually entering accounting transactions into QBO, but since implementing Novi I've had the opportunity to focus on strategic initiatives vs. administrative support.

Novi is critical to our Association's success. Most staff are in it every day, and it successfully serves as our 'source of truth' for all operations. I cannot imagine using another AMS again, and I don't anticipate we'll ever need to! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Novi AMS?

There is nothing I truly dislike about Novi. I would say a challenge of ours that has to do with our own capacity, is staying abreast of the features from releases. I've never opened Novi and felt 'lost,' but there have been times when we've realized that a feature that has already been released could improve our own workflow. Novi publishes easy-to-read release notes, hosts webinars on big releases, has a plethora of helpful support articles, and is incredibly easy to get ahold of for questions. What problems is Novi AMS solving and how is that benefiting you?

Novi has streamlined so many processes for us. The integration with QBO reduces administrative burden, the committee management helps us keep track of volunteers and their meeting attendance (automatically!), collects NPS scores, helps us identify which of our members may be at risk for non-renewal, offers pre-built and custom reports to create any report you could possibly need, and serves as an integral part of our business operations. What problems is ReadyMembership solving and how is that benefiting you?

Pixl8 has solved so many pain points for us. Here are a few of the most noteworthy problems they’ve helped us address.

Our student membership application process used to be completely manual. Roughly 600 applicants would complete a form, and a staff member had to enter each one into our AMS by hand every year, since we couldn’t previously run them through a renewal process. Now it’s all handled seamlessly through ReadyMembership.

We also used to have a take-home exam that relied on a downloadable PDF. Applicants had to print about 20 pages, handwrite their answers, scan everything, and then submit it for approval. Thanks to the Pixl8 team, our exam has now been digitized — they were able to figure out a way to make it happen!

Finally, our certification application process used to be extremely time-consuming. It involved downloading and manually completing PDF affidavits, waiting for sponsors to download the PDFs and write comments, and tracking where applicants were in the process through spreadsheets. Now the entire workflow has been converted into a 100% digital application and approval process, which has cut down a significant amount of staff time and our applicants can now obtain their certifications in a timelier manner. What do you like best about Waitwhile?

I use Waitwhile because it's incredibly easy to enter the customer information into, and the edit feature comes in handy when adding new order numbers to an existing wait. It really helps since our customers often place more than one order by purchasing in different departments of our store. Adding additional order numbers alerts our staff to gather all orders for the customer before telling them to come to the collection point. I'm not sure if the staff who prepare orders get notified when we edit their Waitwhile system, or if when they go to submit a prepared order as ready to collect they see the edits and need to begin gathering at that time which could delay the customers collection of their multiple orders. I’m running into a few limitations: I can’t set global limits across booking types, and I can’t create a single booking type with variable session lengths (for example, letting someone book anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours instead of a fixed duration). What do you like best about Dashboard?

In my company we use Dashboard to easily access sellers' profiles since we are an online company that sells used cars therefore we rely heavily on this software. It also easily allows us to see the name and details of the dealer that bought the seller's car, we can see what documents the seller has uploaded so we can know which are missing so we can chase them. What do you like best about Square Point of Sale?

Square for Retail has great features for inventory tracking, including a receiving feature and cost of goods reports. Transactions are generally quick and easy on the point of sale register or handheld terminal, and Square provides nonprofits like ours with a discounted credit card processing rate. Switching from Clover POS to Square POS has allowed us to save on processing fees and helps us keep better track of our inventory. It also allows us to use online payment links without needing a full online store. Another feature we like is the Customer Directory, which automatically captures customer data, as well as allows us to group customers so we can give unique discounts to different membership levels. The directory is also helpful for reporting visitor demographics and visitor return rates (we can see who returns weekly, monthly, or has visited only once). What do you dislike about Square Point of Sale?

The major downside of Square is it's lack of adequate customer support. I often have to wait hours on the phone, only to be told there is a glitch or issue that nobody knows how to fix yet, After several days, the issue may resolve itself, but I am never followed up with, and never informed of what caused the issue or how it was fixed.

While Square advertises it has integrations with many other software products, we have found that most of those integrations are actually not customizable enough for our needs. For example, only a few of the fields are able to be sent through third party integration apps like Zapier. We have also tried the Quickbooks integration (it only sent a general sales figure over, not different figures for nontaxable and taxable sales), and the WooCommerce integration (cannot use products with multiple variable features online - like a tee shirt with a size variation AND a color variation), so we have not been able to use any integrations.
