What do you like best about Float.com?

The ease of communication and scheduling of resources - I can colour code the pipeline work and once all sign offs received confirm to the resources that they will definitely be billable! Moving staff off a roster is simple as a drag and drop. Capturing training and annual leave has never been simplier Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Float.com?

I use Float for resouring with creative team members and developers, and it gets the job done well and in a visually appealing manner. They add necessary and not overwhelming updates to the product to enhance the user experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Float.com?

I'd like the ability to audit jobs a bit easier, but that may be a product of our large company use rather than Float. Very minimal if any things I dislike about this product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Multi disciplinary studio management top line "

What do you like best about Float.com?

The simple usability of the software. How quick it is to add jobs, extend and move jobs around to different people. Flexible scrolling through the weeks. So easy to set someone up and get started with very minimal training. Report system very useful for monthly reports. For top line project management this is the perfect tool. What do you dislike about Float.com?

The search bar sometimes doesnt work or show particular jobs on occasion. Search seems to only work within the month you are viewing, rather then showing a job from a previous month. This is intermittent and sometimes works to find what you are looking for when refreshed. Still need to test this after the software update to see if it has been resolved.

Doesn't refresh for designers, so we have updated and moved jobs around and they aren't aware as their float has remained the same, unless they manually refresh the window.

Would be great to see more in depth project management potential, such as uploading briefs, designs and signing them off all on this software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Float.com:

For very easy to use workflow management that everyone can get on board with and understand (especially coming from paper based or Excel system before) this is a great first step into digital project management for design. You can straight away see resource, book out weeks in advance and set deadlines. Plus the designers can mark on their jobs whether it was completed so PM's know straight away. What problems is Float.com solving and how is that benefiting you?

Currently managing a team of 9 designers in a multi disciplinary team with 30+ different jobs daily. Tool has worked perfectly well for top line management of workflow and constant changing priorities. Visually easy to understand. Since the recent update the software has performed so much better then expected and has made a massive difference to usability. "Lifesaver! Great tool for scheduling across multiple teams and offices"

What do you like best about Float.com?

I've been using float for almost a year now. It has made SUCH a difference in allowing our teams to be able to track where and when individuals are working from home/out of office/on holiday on a simple and unified platform. The tool is also incredibly user-friendly and makes it easy for anyone to be able to use it on a day to day basis. I also love how quickly you can add and edit to your projects in your calendar. What do you dislike about Float.com?

Nothing major comes to mind about the tool that I dislike particularly. With that said, some potential improvements could include:

- Allowing you to drag and drop to copy a schedule from one person to another, instead of just relocating it

- A way to see notes on a project by just hovering over the icon rather than clicking on it

- Having additional colors to color code the calendar would also be helpful - we have 15+ people using the platform at a time and it would be useful to be able to have more colors to help organize people's calendars

- The relocation of tasks can also sometimes be a bit tricky Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Float.com?

What do you like best about Float.com?

Float is a really helpful piece of software, especially for running studio resourcing. The flexibility of being able to move jobs between different resources is great. Definitely one of the easiest resourcing tools i've used. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
