What do you like best about Rippling?

It supports payroll for a global workforce, which makes it easier to manage employees and pay across different locations. The onboarding process is poorly designed and needlessly long so what could be a 3-5 min each employee setup takes 10-15 min each employee. Pricing is awful and (at-least from our rep experience) misleading with contractual gotchas like auto renewing certain parts for a 1 year term even if you stated you want to cancel the full service. Performance is subpar with consistent employee account issues such as not being able to transfer their own available balances and just saying contact support who does not give answers other than automated Ai response with help article links. Even urgent issues such as "multiple employees are not able to get their wages and error says something went wrong contact support" are not handled with a timeline, urgency, or visibility but the money deducted to make those payments comes out days in advanced or you get urgent payroll emails saying they wont process. Integrations with google workspace was poor and disconnected promptly due to trust issue with Rippling. the UI is terribly designed with no clear intuitive navigation or usability. What do you dislike about Rippling?

We have easy access and storage for documents

We are able to manage contractors and employees in the same place

Getting annual signatures on documents is a breeze and they are then already filed, no emails and scanning and uploading anymore!

Employee Satisfaction is a great tool to stay in touch with all of our staff to make sure that there is open communication on all levels.

Employee Wellness is new and so impactful

Reporting is easy to set up and use

We are able to complete onboarding with ease through the system

What do you like best about Gusto?

Gusto is easily the best payroll software I've utilized. The streamlined and intuitive interface is easy to use, bright, and inviting. I really appreciate the mobile integration, allowing me to access all my HR and payroll info, benefits, and more quickly from an app on my phone without needing to log into a dedicated website. The ability to integrate with the kiosk app, time clock, break room, desktop apps, and phone apps is really helpful. The directory features make it easy to find who I need for a given task and contact them, which is a huge plus. The software somehow makes HR and payroll fun with features like answering fun about me questions and seeing coworkers' responses, which adds a personalized touch. I like having all my information in one place, and I don't have to dig through separate portals for paycheck stubs, paychecks, and onboarding paperwork. The countdown feature for break times is a nice touch that makes life easier, and the app's design is smooth and effortless to use. It was easy to get onboarded with the software and to set it up, taking just a few minutes of time once my account was created. Overall, it's a very inventive software. What do you dislike about Gusto?

I would appreciate kind of an internal messaging system. Even though it does have an option for contact information, it would be helpful to message someone in HR directly within the app to draw their immediate attention to what's needed. The enhanced capabilities and features that let employees update their accounts, review paystubs, and answer questions have helped HR and Payroll staff use their time more efficiently. This includes Beti, the AI assistant, which has become more impressive over time. In addition, the smartphone app allows managers and admin to complete payroll related tasks in a timely manner, without the need to login to the website. The UI is easy to use and makes most tasks easy to accomplish. We very rarely have issues with website performance, which in turn allows personnel to work freely without access related problems. We are integrated with all of our benefits platforms, so from onboarding to payroll, third party integrations is a steamlined process that allows for efficient and accurate work. We have found the support team to be top notch, super helpful, and easily accessible. You can always reach someone by phone, who has some experience with your account. The biggest issues we’ve had over time were related to changes in the support team, especially when some individuals weren’t experienced enough to understand the complexity of our questions and couldn’t provide support in an appropriate manner. What do you dislike about Employment Hero?

The workflows are also cumbersome to set up and use, and the guides don’t provide enough detail to make the overall process clear. Permissions are another area that needs better explanation, especially when you’re in setup mode.

Also, if you onboard someone in one month and they don’t start until the following month, you still have to pay for them for both months, even though their system access isn’t available until their start date. This wasn’t explained upfront. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Employment Hero solving and how is that benefiting you?

We’re planning to use EH to automate the processes we currently manage manually. I’m also hoping the platform will deliver strong analytics to help us better understand and track what’s happening.

Employment has a team of support people based in Australia, we are located in the New Zealand, the support to date is vastly inadequate, the chat bot is useless when asking it a question that is more complex on how to set up an employee, almost every question is sends you in circles, suggest you always state human agent and then you get a person. What I like best about HROne is that it brings all employee-related information and HR processes into one platform. I use it regularly for attendance tracking, punch-in/punch-out, leave applications, and reimbursement claims, which makes these tasks quick and convenient. It also provides easy access to payslips, tax and PF documents, leave balances, holiday calendars, and HR policies without needing to contact HR. I particularly like the employee engagement features, such as work anniversary and birthday notifications, which help employees stay connected. What do you like best about Deel HR?

What I value most about Deel is its payment transparency. As a contractor, being able to see exactly how much I’ll receive before a payment is processed—along with a clear breakdown of fees and conversion rates—removes a lot of the uncertainty I’ve run into on other platforms. There’s no guessing and no surprises on payday.

The payroll flow is also fairly straightforward once you get used to it, but I’ll be honest: the platform does have a learning curve, and some sections aren’t immediately intuitive for new users. Still, once I understood the layout, managing my compensation became much easier. The fact that I haven’t needed to contact support at all feels like a good sign, since the platform has handled the process reliably enough that issues simply haven’t come up. What do you dislike about Deel HR?

The biggest pain point I’ve experienced is how the platform handles contract updates and the way those changes affect payment cycles. When my contract was updated, I wasn’t given clear guidance on what steps to take to make sure my payment schedule adjusted correctly, and my payments ended up arriving late. The overall process felt confusing, and it wasn’t obvious what I needed to do on my end versus what Deel or my employer would handle automatically. For something as critical as payroll timing, the platform should offer clearer, step-by-step instructions whenever a contract change is made, or at least notify all parties about how the update will impact upcoming payments. What problems is Deel HR solving and how is that benefiting you?

Before using Deel, getting paid in foreign currency by U.S.-based employers was a real barrier for me. Receiving international payments involved multiple intermediary steps, and platforms like Wise or Payoneer added friction and uncertainty to each transaction. Deel solved this by centralizing the entire payment flow—I now receive my salary directly to my preferred digital wallet in a streamlined, predictable way.

The biggest impact is that working remotely for U.S. companies has become genuinely viable for me as a contractor based in Colombia. I no longer have to worry about the logistics of cross-border payments, which means I can focus entirely on delivering quality work. For anyone in Latin America looking to work with North American companies, Deel removes one of the most significant practical barriers to making that happen. Onboarding is also very easy. What I dislike most about Remote is the customer support experience. The live chat doesn't resolve issues directly, they just send help articles or create a support ticket. Unfortunately, many tickets take a very long time to be resolved, and some never receive a response at all. In my experience, around 2 out of every 5 tickets seem to get lost or go unaddressed. “Gorgeous Scheduling and Secure Team Communication That Boosts Efficiency”
What do you like best about Homebase?

Labor Management and Team Communication were the two main things that drew me to Homebase. I was looking for tools to help improve efficiency in these areas, especially when building out my teams from scratch. This tool also had to solve the privacy issue that plagued basic group chats, where employees could communicate, but only if they shared their personal phone numbers. This created issues with former employees, as well as employees who felt uncomfortable sharing that information. What I didn't expect to find was a tool that solve both issues so well. In Homebase I found a gorgeous scheduling interface that not only helps manage labor efficiently, but can also streamline shift swaps and PTO notification and planning. Beyond that, their team communication function now allows employees to communicate across functions and shifts without having to share personal information. When an employee is terminated, I am able to immediately sever their ability to communicate, without worrying about them spiking the chat or possessing personal information of current employees. What do you dislike about Homebase?

The main downside of Homebase in my case, may be a boon to others. When my employees log in to they app there is a constant request to clock-in at the top of their screen. While this feature is more geared towards mom-and-pop shops or maybe a restaurant/bar-like situation, it is not a feature I currently use (my P&C department already has a 3rd party app for this). However, this is no option to remove this and I am regularly pinged by new employees who think this is how they clock in, only for me to receive an email stating that someone on my team wants me to opt-in to this feature. What problems is Homebase solving and how is that benefiting you?

Labor Management: The simple and intuitive (and beautiful) scheduling interface makes scheduling staff a breeze. I am able to see and plan for gaps at glance. My team is able to view their schedules from their phones and formally swap shifts with ease as well. All-in-all this makes one of the more tedious parts of team management something almost enjoyable.

Team Communication: Previously my teams would create group chats to talk amongst themselves. This created privacy issues when it came to unwanted attention outside of work, or former employees spiking the chat. This is completely solved using Homebase's chat function. Only I can see personal information and have the ability to immediately terminate this at the conclusion of an employees tenure. There is also an added benefit of not only being able to communicate announcements across the entire team, but also being able to track who has read announcements. I was disappointed to find that when I went to look art prior month's pay, it still displayed the amount of hours of the current month. That was initially confusing.

As I stated before, what bothers me the most is that i am unable to label each line in some way. I would be delighted if I were able to put two initials to designate with whom I had spent that hour. I honestly don't have any major criticisms of Leapsome. If I had to mention one thing, it would be the publication period for assessment results. I think this could help accelerate development conversations and make feedback more actionable. Compt solves many issues, for example often offices prefer to have a shared gym membership for the entire office, while instead Compt saves the company money in comparison while catering the each users personal needs. What do you like best about Forma?

I like how quickly I was able to get my claims approved and more importantly, it was a simple process to get my claim submitted. The options for each field were comprehensive. The support to get my login issues was fixed very quickly. Once I got some issues resolved with my company's HR, the integration process with my benefits provider/employer was very simple. What do you dislike about Forma?

I don't like the login process. The "magic link" being the default way to log in is just an obstacle to the routine username and password, which I prefer. I don't want to have to check my email every time I log in and rely on clicking specific links. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Kota?

We discovered Kota after we had already begun renewing our private medical scheme benefits with our previous broker.

Kota not only provided a more affordable quote than our previous industry-leading broker but also enrolled us with Vitality, which was an improvement over our previous scheme with another insurer. As a result, more employees have joined our scheme since we switched to Kota.

The most significant improvement for us has been the customer support since the transition. Kota managed to transition us between insurers within a week and were very hands-on throughout the entire process. They have remained responsive now that we’re up and running, and we actually have a dedicated contact person for any discussions. It's so nice! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Kota?

We don't have any specific dislikes, but there are a few enhancements we would love to see:

1. Consolidation of Benefits: It would be fantastic if Kota could increase the range of benefits offered. It would be great if we could offer some additional benefits without having to find a different provider, such as cash plan medical, cycle to work, staff discounts, etc.

2. Global Office Management: We have offices in several countries, including Canada, the US, Malaysia, Australia, Mexico, and the UAE. It would be great if we could manage these international offices through Kota as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Kota solving and how is that benefiting you?

We've integrated the Kota platform with our HR system, making enrolment a breeze. Now, we can easily see who is and isn't enrolled in one place.

Monthly invoicing helps manage our cash flow, and we can download member lists and invoices directly from the portal.

What do you like best about Asanify AI?

I like the pricing and the features of Asanify AI, which fit well for a startup like ours. The set of features we get at this price point is genuinely useful, especially since we didn’t want to invest too much in an HRMS tool.

Each month, Asanify AI supports our payroll processing by generating payslips, calculating how much needs to be paid to each employee, and automating salary communications to employees. For leave management, it keeps everything organized, shows leave accrual for each employee, and sends notifications. We can even approve leave with a simple response in Slack, which is very convenient because we don’t need to log in to the portal.

For attendance management, it clearly informs us of the days we need to pay for by the end of the month. I also found the initial setup straightforward, since the Asanify AI team handled it for us and helped us get up to speed quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Asanify AI?

I think the main aspect that didn’t work well for us was a fixed, non-editable feature in the payroll module. When doing F&F calculations or generating payslips, you sometimes need to add custom items, but some of those fields aren’t editable. As a result, the payslip and payroll setup can feel a bit rigid, which isn’t ideal when you’re working with an HRMS tool and need flexibility.

Also the performance of overall tool is good only for beginers and one's we grow we will move away to more structured HRMS tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
