HR4 is a leading workforce management platform of apps dedicated to maximizing business profits and employee experiences From HR4’s Applicant Tracking System (ATS) managers can create a job posting, push the posting to career pages and popular job boards. Management can move candidates throughout the hiring stages, schedule interviews, grade candidates, communicate via text or email and even extend templated job offers. Applicant profiles can be converted to employee profiles for digital onboarding. Employees can complete their pre-hire tasks and forms and then begin any number of custom, company and role specific training programs within the HR4 Learning Management System (LMS). Management and employees can then use HR4’s scheduling, mobile time clocks to track hours and PTO to be exported to payroll systems. HR4 is a full end-to-end suite including employee communication, engagement, directory, compliance, performance and compensation management apps. **What do you like best about HR4?**

I use HR4 to streamline and manage different HR-related activities efficiently. I like its simplicity and ease of use, as the platform is well-organized, making it easy to manage tasks, access information, and stay updated without confusion. It saves time by bringing different HR-related activities into one place. I also appreciate that tasks can be completed quickly without needing much technical knowledge or extra guidance. The interface is clear and well-structured, which makes finding information or managing different activities smooth. The initial setup was fairly smooth and easy for us, being user-friendly so members were able to understand the basic features quickly.

**What do you dislike about HR4?**

Sometimes the platform can feel a bit slow, especially when loading certain sections or updating information. Adding more customization options and improving the interface design could also make the user experience even better. Clear notifications and smoother navigation between features would help users complete tasks more efficiently.

**What problems is HR4 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use HR4 to streamline HR activities, manage employee records efficiently, and improve team coordination. It simplifies organizational and communication challenges by keeping information, attendance, and updates in one place, saving time and reducing confusion.

**What do you like best about HR4?**

I appreciate how HR4 solves several practical problems in day-to-day operations, reducing manual paperwork and data duplication by centralizing all employee information in one system. This means we don't have to maintain multiple Excel sheets. The key features I value include the employee database module, which helps maintain complete and updated employee records for quick access and audit readiness. I also find the attendance and leave management system very helpful as it accurately tracks working hours, absences, and leaves, reducing manual errors and ensuring proper payroll input. These features are directly aligned with daily operations and critical result areas, making them crucial for our workflow.

**What do you dislike about HR4?**

The user interface can feel a bit outdated or not very intuitive, making it take time to navigate and find certain options quickly. The system speed can sometimes be slow, especially while loading reports or large employee data. It takes a huge report customization, which is not synced properly in real-time.

HR4 reduces manual paperwork and data duplication by centralizing all employee information. We no longer need to maintain multiple Excel sheets.

**What do you like best about HR4?**

I like HR4's hiring integration, which streamlines the process by having the information on applicants flow through to hired. The HR4 onboarding team, especially Jaidyn, was very accommodating and helpful when setting up the system, despite our complex and dynamic pay plan.

**What do you dislike about HR4?**

Most of the pre-made reports are for things we don't utilize. I think the time/payroll information should also be available in the reports app. The geofencing for punches is a mess. Anywhere there is an employee's name, you should be able to click/jump to their profile, or have dropdown options like individual-time/profile/history/etc. Locking and unlocking timesheets should just be a click. A scroll-to-top button would be nice. Being able to change weeks when you're in the middle of the timesheet list would be nice.

**What problems is HR4 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

HR4 handles employee information and time tracking effectively. I like its hiring integration because it smoothly transfers applicant details to the hired stage.

**What do you like best about HR4?**

HR4 streamlines so may processes and elimates paper trail.  From the perspective of the end user, it is user friendly and easy to navigate.  On the back end, it is intiuitive and there are many resources available to assist managers.  Implentation and training was smooth, and ongoing support which is critical because there is so much to the platform is easily accessible.  I very much appreciated that the HR4 implementation team trained our entire employee population, not just the managers.

**What do you dislike about HR4?**

After more than a year working with HR4 (so the honeymoon phase is over), we have no regrets. While there is nothing we dislike about HR4, I can say that the desktop application is preferred by many of our employees over the mobile app.

**What problems is HR4 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have  been able to eliminate many of our traditional spreadsheets and processes.  HR4 will allow us to be more efficient and will serve as an excellent communication tool.  Employees love that they can submit time off requests directly through HR4 and that they can see for themselves their entitlement to things like sick days, vacation etc.
The reports and analytics app is amazing for reports that would have had to be "built" manually in the past, and I love that it integrates with our Payroll system which is a significant time saver for me.

**What do you like best about HR4?**

I think having HR4 support available through the chatbot as well as humans who answer those chatbots has been really useful. It's really helped us figure out how the site works, and I really like the personal aspect of it. The initial setup was very easy and detailed, and we were excited to be a part of the process from step one to now.

**What do you dislike about HR4?**

I think that the apps can be improved to be a little more fluid. But I see that happening, and I see those improvements being put in place as we've gone along with HR4. So I don't really have anything that sticks out for me!

HR4 helps us streamline recruitment, hold employee files, and organize communication. It centralizes our data, allowing seamless project transitions from coaching to discipline.

I like how HR4 organizes all HR tasks in one place, making it user-friendly and easy to access employee records. I appreciate HR4’s thoughtful design specifically tailored for the automotive industry, which perfectly meets our sector's diverse needs from health and safety compliance to detailed reporting and pay transparency. The platform’s streamlined onboarding process and perpetual learning and development capabilities are impressive, making it an invaluable tool for our operations. The integration of health and safety compliance within HR4 is enormously beneficial, simplifying our processes by eliminating the need for multiple third-party platforms. With HR4, we can efficiently manage an employee's performance and compliance in one unified platform. Additionally, the setup was super easy thanks to their expert implementation team, which made the transition from a paper-based to a digital system seamless. I am also pleased with HR4's continuous improvements in features and functionalities, including the introduction of a robust reporting and analytics platform, which underlines their commitment to perpetual enhancements.

I'm not dissatisfied with the platform.  It meets and exceeds my expectations.

**What do you like best about HR4?**

We love the Health and Safety aspect of the app.  The fact that each employee has the app on their phone (which is optional  depending on company policy) makes communication easy.  We also love that everything is in one place.  mission statement, employee handbook, training tools , scheduling, onboarding for hiring, personal files including CRA tax forms etc can be all stored on this app.  We have the basic HR4 at this point and are only 1 month in.  We are just starting our journey but are veryimpressed.  The implentation team was great, the support is awesome, always their to assist and help in any way. The set up was easier than I anticipated and I have had a lot experience in implenting new systems, so I would definatly recommend HR4.

At this point we are quite pleased with the application.

**What problems is HR4 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having Health and Saftey in on applicaiton, with WHMIS training,  being able to upload minutes of the H&S meetings.  The time and attendance we love.  As a small business with under 35 employess it is a great econmical tool for both features of time and attence and H&S.

This is user freiendly software and it offers a wide range of tools, from recruitment and onboarding to performance management and payroll, all in one platform.

**What do you like best about HR4?**

HR4 is a well thought and layed out software for everything to do with employees. To me. this software is a major optimizer and time saver in regards to the hiring process, organizing documents, employee training completion, etc. Beside the program, the customer support was top notch from start to finish. You can tell their team are highly communicating internally, which translated to a smooth customer setup experience. Integration was easy.

**What do you dislike about HR4?**

I haven't found anything negative about this company, pleased all around. If I could nitpick anything, I would say a better phone app would be nice!

employee punch card times, vacation a sick day tracking, hiring process, onboarding process, event scheduling and tracking, employee regocnition, policy/document handbook and user completion tracking.

what I like the most is the end to end workforce management. the tool is very easy to use and the UI is very user friendly you will not see any difficulty to use this tool we can manage directory, compliance, performance very easily.

when I tried this tool first time I did not see any difficulty coz the UI is very user friendly but sometimes I have faced some issue like in workforce management the app was hanged and I tried to logout and login again then it runs smoothly so yes sometimes it just stop working and the web page shows error but not all the time only 2-3 time I have faced this issue.

the problem HR4 solving is time management we can do many things at one place like workforce management, performance review, directory, compliance etc so these benefits we are getting coz we can do these thing at one place we dont need to go anywhere else.

Our organization finds the hiring process to be one of the best features of HR4. Incorporating digital methods benefits managers, associates, and new candidates. This also means that our onboarding process is seamless, ensuring new hires feel welcomed and integrated into the company in no time.

Furthermore, we appreciate the convenience of having all company policies, links, and employee information consolidated in one easily accessible platform available to everyone in the organization.

One aspect that has made our experience with HR4 genuinely exceptional is the support we received from their staff. They have been accommodating and responsive throughout the implementation process, ensuring everything went smoothly. Even after the implementation, the team at HR4 has continued to provide prompt and efficient support, making them an absolute pleasure to work with!

It is a bit tricky to understand the dashboard for a beginner.
Have to know all the elements and features to run this tool.

This Applicant Tracking System (ATS) significantly enhances the candidate onboarding process by providing a comprehensive overview of the outstanding steps for each applicant, along with insights to expedite each task. With this system, you can easily monitor and analyze every metric associated with all candidates, providing a greater degree of visibility and transparency into the entire onboarding process.

**What do you like best about HR4?**

We like the hiring aspect the best.  We have digitized our processes, benefiting all managers, associates and new candidates.  Furthermore, we can now welcome our new hires with a smooth onboarding process.  

Additionally, we enjoy having all of our policies, company links, employee info etc all in one spot and easily accessible to everyone in our organization.

The staff at HR4 has been supportive, helpful, flexible and highly responsive.  They worked hard to ensure the implementation process went as smoothly as possible.  Even after the implementation, the staff at HR4 have been prompt, responsive and an absolute pleasure to deal with!

**What do you dislike about HR4?**

So far there is nothing that we dislike.  Anything that we have had questions about has been quickly addressed and resolved.

The learning curve is to be expected, but the end goal is worth it!

**What problems is HR4 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

HR4 ensures a smooth onboarding process where no paperwork is missed or simply "forgotten".  Additionally, HR4 has enabled us to streamline the employee life cycle, where all documentation is now in one spot and accessible to those who require it.

HR4 provides data that used to be more difficult for us to track - for example, employee turnover, outstanding health and safety courses etc.

We also enjoy the flexibility and ease with which we can update our employee handbook and keep it current and accessible to all.

Lastly, we are all enjoying the "Thumbs Up" app!  This is a great tool for employee engagement and recognition.

**What do you like best about HR4?**

I really enjoyed how prompt and helpful the support staff is at HR4. Very willing to help and try to develop a workaround to tailor the program to meet our specific needs, whether on time off records or custom employee forms. The HR4 system is very user-friendly and easy to navigate for employees of varying computer skill groups. The pricing structure is very fair for the value the system brings to the business.

**What do you dislike about HR4?**

The HR4 software is quite customizable in many areas, such as custom employee forms, notifications, and hiring activities. That said, the system is still somewhat new/constantly developing and improving, and there are some features such as "time off" that are not as fully customizable as some managers would like. Feedback from staff is that the system generates/sends too many notifications, which results in many staff ignoring messages hence not engaging/utilizing the system as thoroughly as management may like.  Some managers also find the time off reports HR4 generates challenging to read and often display inaccurate data. Overall, outstanding value for the program and our company find a lot of value in the time off feature, handbook/policies, and communication with staff. However, it is not a perfect program with a few cons, but overall we are still a very satisfied customer.

**Recommendations to others considering HR4:**

Building your company policies/handbook and HR processes around Recruitment, Selection, Screening, Hiring, etc., are essential before acquiring the HR4 software. HR4 helps streamline and document existing processes it does not write policies or functions for you. Tech support is great at assisting a little in that department but you largely need to have established procedures in place that HR4 will help you stay consistent on, but if you are not following proper HR processes already, then HR4 will not be of as much assistance to you.

**What problems is HR4 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The central platform to quickly and efficiently communicate new information, documents, and policies to all staff via HR4 during the pandemic was extremely valuable, not to mention quite convenient to execute. The time off app has helped our company improve our time off processes and aids in remaining compliant with Alberta Employment Standards on the taking and tracking of employee vacation time/entitlements. The hire app has allowed us to integrate with indeed and expedite the posting of open jobs and organize candidate screening and selection.

It has made employee tracking simple, and with information at my fingertips, I can ensure that I'm up to date at all times. I love that employee records, policies, learn courses, and history can be found in one place.
HR4 has also made recruiting streamlined and thorough.

**What do you like best about HR4?**

It is user friendly, easy on the eye, has the ability to be developed into a client specific system. The staff are fantastic, they have a community help section too which is great. They are constantly developing and updating the program and it is something we can continuously use to grow with alongside the growth of the company.

**What do you dislike about HR4?**

It would be great to see more typable search bars, and more development of the info you can get from each searchable item (e.g an general overview of employee info including pay, manager, length in role.) - less clicking, more one page info. More history info!

**What problems is HR4 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kim has been an absolute hero. She has showed me all the forms we could be utilizing, all the offers and documentation we could be logging and Compensation will be coming too which is great!

**What do you like best about HR4?**

- User-friendly
- Record storing
- Great APS

**What do you dislike about HR4?**

- Vacation days/accruals not recording accurately
- Sometimes the phone app doesn't work

**What problems is HR4 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- Accurate record-keeping for pay plans, employment changes, performance management, disciplinary management, etc
- Electronic online Forms for TD1s and direct deposit info have been a great time-saver
- Easier and stream-lined onboarding with the Plan app - being able to customize the templates to each of our locations has been fantastic
- User-friendly applicant tracking system with the Hire app where we can easily share and communicate with Hiring Managers . The Comments section and 'thumbs up or down' on candidates has been a big hit for us

**What do you like best about HR4?**

I do enjoy the organization of the system (i.e., the apps and tabs). Also, the Help Button is indispensable to me! It's great to have access to a fantastic Support Team that can always help (especially when I first started in my role).

**What do you dislike about HR4?**

As an impatient individual, the system is sometimes incredibly slow, and doing simple tasks could take a few minutes.

**What problems is HR4 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I honestly can't think of how problems are solved using HR4, but I can say that it offers me essential support and tools to complete my daily tasks.

HR4 is very easy to use! Our managers and employees equally enjoy the platform.  The HR4 offers excellent customer service!

Nothing yet! Any questions we have are quickly answered using the HR4 chat function.

We have used HR4 to replace an HR staff member.   Our group has saved both time and money using HR4.

The Hire app is very useful, as well as the reporting for absences

**What do you dislike about HR4?**

We have had some challenges with vacation accruals changing, but it seems that this has been rectified by moving to the new version of HR4

**What problems is HR4 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have reduced admin tasks such as record keeping with various spreadsheets.  All the information is held within HR4, and we can export most of the information we need.

All of it actually.  I love the fact that HR4 responds to your needs immediately.  Service from HR4 is great.  They make developments to cater to your business' ever-changing needs.

**What do you dislike about HR4?**

When there are updates, sometimes it creates glitches. However they get rectified quite quickly, you just need to recognize it.

Love the new updates that are always upcoming!

We have a fairly rigorous QA process but as a small and fast-growing company we can always do better. Sounds like having access to instant live support in our app and our use of leading tools like Intercom and Jira for bug reporting has been working. I am not to keen on the desktop app, it is quite slow in comparison to the web and mobile version.

Affordable, offers free demo, fast customer support, its good for tracking employee focus and tasks which ensures accountability boosting focus for customer satisfaction. Helps track employee time compliance for easy selection of who to reward based on performance.

everything works well but it requires some training to effectively make use of it but with the free demo you can learn it risk free.

**What do you like best about HR4?**

I like how everything we need for job aids is at our finger tips. I like that there is a mobile app which works quite well, and you’re able to do things like recognize colleagues.

**What do you dislike about HR4?**

I dislike that sometimes the app or desktop feature doesn’t work but I understand that that’s software and bugs happen. 

**What problems is HR4 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a much better system for comminication now. Reviews will be held there also, it’s just a neat ant tidy way to effectively communicate amongst each other.
