Prior to using Cognism, it was a very manual process for us in the business development department when doing our lead generation. Sometimes the data we found wasn't the best and it took up so much of our time which was probably the best thing Cognism solved for us. There used to be very little mobile numbers and direct dials in Cognism but they have worked towards changing this and recently I have been impressed with this. We have had some bounces on emails also recently but this could be attributed to the worldwide pandemic and things constantly changing. Another thing to note is that sometimes the filters can pull data from other industries. I was introduced to Cognism by a friend who was using it at the time. I booked a demo in through their site and I was impressed from the word go. I signed up 24hrs later so that I could get started. Their onboarding process is great and its really simple to get your head around.
It's really easy to use from a search, campaign and integration point of view. It was really simple to get it set up with our CRM system and now when we have completed a campaign, all of the leads we want to track are synced.

There is almost nothing to dislike about cognism. We've previously had teething problems where some information was outdated but this was a small percentage of thousands of possible contacts. However cognism took this criticism and responded with a real time verification tool so you know you're not wasting precious time or credits on people whose data is obsolete. The customer support and service is the best in the business (Anna Geissman). Not only is she knowledgeable and helpful she's proactive and genuinely interested. The layout is easy to use and is intuitive. I like the dashboard, email integration is extremely handy and means I can log in and it is all in one place. I can easily find relevant and high quality leads through Cognism and use them in every aspect of my SDR and marketing strategy, the different filters on the search function allows me to segment my leads between the UK and other markets. The dashboard is easy to read and I can easily look at some key statistics here. If I go into the campaigns page I can also get a more detailed breakdown of how each of my campaigns are doing which is a lifesaver for all of my reports and great for measuring KPI's. I selected Cognism due to the ease of data collection and validation for cold calls, and for the email sequencing function. There are almost no companies that do a good job of integrating both areas, but Cognism does.
I have to praise the team involved to date - William and Ben led a slick sales process, and Katie has been lovely to deal with, really helpful and fast to respond to every request I've made. We're a small account (for now), but I've felt very well supported despite this.
Results so far appear slightly lacking on email but good on cold call data - my cold caller tells me the list from cognism is the most successful he has worked on to date in terms of getting through to decision makers.

I would have scored a 10 if I hadn't experienced some issues with the email campaign reporting.
Sometimes leads show in 'emails read' as 'bounced' which makes no sense. And sometimes leads appear in 'clicked links' without being read. I understand how this might have happened from a tech perspective (Katie helped to explain), but it means I can't get an accurate 'at a glance' view on overall read / click rate. Can a script be deployed to overwrite these issues somehow?

There is so much to like about cognism from the support to the platform everything has been designed perfectly with management and simplicity in mind.
The platform is simplstic from the get go and there is little implimentation that you actually need.
The guys at cognism have been more than supportive and your wins become your account managers too. Aaron (our account manager) will email me on a very regular basis to check in and to see how everything is going, there hasnt been a question that I have had that he hasnt been able to answer yet either.
