Semrush Local: Looks a little Ppricey per location, but reviewers say it’s unmatched if you want advanced keyword research + local SEO in one suite.

SE Ranking: Affordable all-in-one SEO platform. Reviewers highlight its flexible pricing and agency workflows (dashboards, white-labeling, reporting).

Localo: Agency-friendly rank maps, embeddable rank checkers, and simple client dashboards.

Seobility: Budget-friendly SEO platform; reviewers like its site audits and local keyword tracking for smaller client portfolios.

BrightLocal: Local SEO specialist tool. Agencies love the mix of local rank tracking, audits, citation management, and white-label reports.

Saw a few others like SOCi, Right Choice, Birdeye, Reputation on G2 but they seem more geared toward enterprises or SMB owners rather than agency workflows.

Curious to hear from other agencies:

Which of these has given you the best ROI on local SEO?

Do you find the lower-cost tools (BrightLocal, SE Ranking, Seobility) enough, or do clients expect the firepower of something like Semrush Local?

Anyone tried Localo’s rank checker embed for lead gen?

Would love to hear what’s working in real-world agency setups

We found that lower-cost tools were sufficient for most local clients, especially when the deliverable was rankings, GBP visibility, and review tracking. Clients usually care more about clarity and consistency than whether the platform is the most advanced one on paper.

### Comment 2

Localo is interesting because the rank map view feels more client-friendly than a lot of traditional SEO dashboards. I can see the embed angle being useful for lead gen too, especially if you want something visual on your site.

One thing I’d watch closely is the quality of white-label reporting. Agencies can work around a lot, but if reports still need manual cleanup before they go to clients, the ROI drops pretty quickly.

BrightLocal still feels like one of the most practical agency picks because it’s built around the actual local SEO workflow. Rank tracking, GBP insights, citations, and reporting all sit in the same place without forcing you into a bigger suite.

Feels like every tool nails one or two things but rarely all of them. What’s the dealbreaker (or must-have) for your agency?
