**What do you dislike about Matter?**

I would prefer if creating the memes to post the communication on would be easier. It was tough to understand and get around at first. But after I got the hang of it, no issues.

**What problems is Matter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Matter is an easy app to use to show my colleagues appreciation and a little bit of love!! It is quick and easy and makes getting other things done a from a productivity stand point easier

  ### 2. Effortless Recognition & Reward, Perfect for Remote Teams

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bennie V. | Marketing Content Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Matter?**

I like how easy it is to grant and receive coins, share shoutouts with the team, and exchange coins for gift cards across different countries. We're a remote team with over 70 members across different countries, and this reward and acknowledgment system makes it easy to share and celebrate each other's wins. The initial setup was very easy.

**What do you dislike about Matter?**

Nothing to dislike so far. It would be great if it includes team-building activities as well, though.

**What problems is Matter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Matter for acknowledging team members, automating greetings, and rewarding contributions, which helps manage team morale. It simplifies sharing and celebration in our remote team, enhancing connection and engagement.

  ### 3. Effortless Onboarding and Engagement—A Game-Changer for Our Team

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Katherine P. | Recruiting Coordinator, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 31, 2025

**What do you like best about Matter?**

Getting new hires set up is painless. The platform collects birthday and anniversary dates automatically, so people are included in celebrations right away. The interface is intuitive enough that people figure it out without training, though the customer support that they offer is incredible. The platform fit seamlessly into our current work flow and systems. It was easy to implement and has made employee engagement and recognition something we all participate in daily now. The software has really improved work experience and even pointed out staff that was overlooked previously. Can’t say enough! Love using it, and so does my team.

**What do you dislike about Matter?**

Nothing to share other than for a tool that we use every day, it has been nothing but a great addition and resource.

**What problems is Matter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

New employees feel welcomed faster. Being included in recognition culture from their first week helps them feel like part of the team sooner. It accelerates that transition from "new person" to "team member.” The analytics that Matter offers has made a major improvement in decision making across teams. Now, we are able to hear from everyone in real time what is working and not working and are able to implement changes when necessary that improves employee experience in real time.

  ### 4. Effortless Recognition and Communication—A Daily Essential

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Preeti K. | Project Manager, Information Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 31, 2025

**What do you like best about Matter?**

The automated birthday and anniversary celebrations are genuinely helpful. I used to keep a spreadsheet and set calendar reminders, which worked until it didn't. Now it just happens. The team gets a notification, people can add their own messages to the card, and I'm not the bottleneck. I also like that it doesn't feel impersonal even though it's automated. The messages people write are heartfelt. The whole platform has transformed how and how often we communicate to each other. It has improved communication and brought back necessary recognition company wide that was missing. The platform is easy to integrate and implement and works in connection with our current softwares. Additionally, the customer support is phenomenal! This is the first employee software that I’ve actually implemented daily and enjoyed the experience.

**What do you dislike about Matter?**

Nothing to share, this is a tool that I use daily now.

**What problems is Matter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

People feel more valued. Milestones actually get celebrated now instead of being forgotten, and that translates to stronger team cohesion and a better sense of belonging across the board. Connection across the board has really improved, which correlates with a much better work experience.

  ### 5. Effortless Integration and Insightful Analytics Make Engagement Enjoyable

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Caleb B. | Research Associate, Information Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 31, 2025

**What do you like best about Matter?**

I appreciate that the platform doesn't demand constant attention. You can engage with it when it makes sense without feeling pressured. The analytics provide useful insight into team engagement patterns, and the surveys integrate smoothly so everything lives in one place. The reward options are thoughtful and include choices beyond just gift cards. It was easy to integrate and daily use doesn’t seem monotonous. The platform is enjoyable. Additionally, connecting the platform to our current software was very easy. Matters implementation and customer support is amazing. They really care about their users.

**What do you dislike about Matter?**

Nothing comes to mind, honestly the options available have been easy, helpful, and a great resource for improving communication and employee engagement.

**What problems is Matter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Communication improved. People who might not speak up in meetings still participate in recognition, which creates another channel for expressing appreciation. It's helped quieter team members feel more connected.

  ### 6. Outstanding Rewards and Seamless Slack Integration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sneha S. | Product Designer, Information Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 31, 2025

**What do you like best about Matter?**

The rewards catalog is solid. Gift cards, charitable donations, actual useful options. I've worked places where the rewards were branded water bottles and that was it. Here you can pick what matters to you. I donated to a nonprofit last month with my coins and it felt good to direct it somewhere meaningful. The card designs are visually appealing too. Matter has everything you need for employee recognition in one place and it really makes things easy to connect with teammates and colleagues. The integration was very smooth and simple since it connects directly to our Slack.

**What do you dislike about Matter?**

Nothing really, we use it daily and it has really improved motivation.

**What problems is Matter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

People put in extra effort more willingly now. When contributions get acknowledged in a meaningful way, it changes how people approach their work. Overall quality and attention to detail improved noticeably.

  ### 7. Matter Makes Collaboration Simple, Organized, and Reliable

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Matter?**

What I like most about Matter is how simple and intuitive it is to use, while still offering strong collaboration and productivity features. It keeps tasks, communication, and workflows organized in one place, which makes teamwork feel more efficient and coordinated. I also appreciate the clean interface and overall reliability, and I like how easy it is to stay up to date without feeling overwhelmed.

**What do you dislike about Matter?**

One downside of Matter is that some advanced features can take time to learn at first, especially for new users. There are also moments where notifications or updates can feel overwhelming when managing multiple projects. In addition, certain customization or integration options could be improved to make workflows even more flexible.

**What problems is Matter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Matter helps solve the problem of scattered communication, task tracking, and collaboration by bringing everything into one organized platform. This makes it easier to manage projects, stay aligned with team members, and keep track of progress without switching between multiple tools. As a result, it saves time, improves productivity, and helps me stay more focused and organized in my daily work.

  ### 8. Empowering Teamwork with Insightful Analytics and Effortless Recognition

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hailey B. | Research Analyst, Information Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Matter?**

I was skeptical at first because we've had other tools that nobody ended up using. Matters analytics dashboard shows who's participating and who isn't, which helps when you're trying to understand whether something is actually working or just creating noise. Having a record of recognition throughout the year makes performance discussions more substantive. I can see patterns in what people value about each other's work, which is more interesting than I expected. The surveys feature is straightforward enough that people actually fill them out. Great employee recognition tools that are easy, informative and beneficial to our teamwork.

**What do you dislike about Matter?**

With the helpful customer support, easy integration and set up- I have had no issues so far. Really enjoying the tools Matter offers.

**What problems is Matter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The quality of feedback improved. People write more specific recognition instead of generic thank yous. I've seen collaboration between departments that normally don't interact much, especially when someone from another team helps with data interpretation or methodology questions. The visibility into who's contributing what has made project assignments easier because managers can see who's been doing extra work that might otherwise go unnoticed.

  ### 9. Effortless Recognition and Seamless Team Engagement

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lucas W. | Customer Support Specialist, Information Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Matter?**

The automated birthday messages are a great help. With Matter I can send recognition between calls or tickets without it feeling like another task. The setup took less than ten minutes, and it works seamlessly. When someone on the team helps me troubleshoot a tricky customer issue, I can send them something right away instead of waiting until I have time to write an email. The kudos templates make it quick and easy and the designs make it more personable. I also like that the coins reset weekly.

**What do you dislike about Matter?**

So far I haven’t had any issues. The system runs great and has all of the resources I need for recognition in one place which saves me tons of time.

**What problems is Matter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

People actually respond to recognition now instead of just reading it. I've noticed teammates helping each other more without being asked, moral has really improved with the recognition overall. Our team channel used to be pretty quiet except for shift coverage requests, but now there's actual conversation happening. It feels less transactional than it used to.

  ### 10. Effortless Setup and Seamless Recognition—A Game-Changer for Our Team

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Owen C. | Recruiting Coordinator, Information Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Matter?**

Coordinating interviews involves juggling multiple calendars, time zones, room bookings, and candidate preferences. Matter has made that work visible. Hiring managers send kudos when scheduling goes smoothly or when candidates comment on their experience. The coins accumulate and I've gotten gift cards, which feels good after particularly chaotic hiring weeks. Setup was simple and didn't require IT involvement, so we were using it within a day. The platform has really transformed communication in the office and how we recognize each other. Love the tools and thankful that it was so easy to implement. Saves me so much time.

**What do you dislike about Matter?**

Honestly, nothing right now. It was so easy to get started and the system has everything in one place that I need for recognition.

**What problems is Matter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hiring managers communicate better now. They're more considerate about availability and understand when scheduling is complex. That's reduced last-minute changes and cancellations. Recruiting team morale is also higher because coordinator work gets acknowledged alongside recruiter work. We're seen as a partnership rather than recruiters being the stars and coordinators being support staff. The communication across teams and departments has really improved. I’ve seen moral improve as well.

  ### 11. Effortless Recognition with Intuitive Design and Insightful Analytics

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arun S. | Software Developer, Information Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 31, 2025

**What do you like best about Matter?**

The interface is clean and intuitive. Send a kudos, pick a card, add your message, done. I also find the analytics helpful for understanding how recognition flows across the team. It surfaces patterns you wouldn't otherwise notice. The variety of card designs means you can pick one that fits the tone of what you're trying to say, whether it's lighthearted or more sincere. Great tools all in one that are easy and great way to connect with colleagues.

**What do you dislike about Matter?**

No issues, honestly it is easy to use and extremely beneficial to my day. It was also easy to implement.

**What problems is Matter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Collaboration improved. People are more willing to help each other out knowing that effort gets acknowledged. There's less hesitation around asking for assistance or offering support on someone else's work.

  ### 12. Effortless Setup and Fantastic Rewards Selection

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Francis R. | Legal Assistant, Information Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 14, 2025

**What do you like best about Matter?**

The setup was easy and I figured it out quickly. I send kudos to people who make my job easier, and I get them back when I help someone out. The variety of card options is nice because you're not always sending the same boring thing. I like that the coins reset weekly because it keeps things moving instead of people saving them forever. I've used the rewards a few times for coffee shop cards. They have a great selection of rewards. The resources have really helped connect us more in the office.

**What do you dislike about Matter?**

Great resources and ways to recognize colleagues. No problems so far.

**What problems is Matter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

People are more aware of support work now. Before, a lot of what assistants do went unnoticed unless something went wrong. Now when things go right, people take a second to acknowledge it. I've also seen more appreciation across departments, not just within legal. When other teams need something from us, there's more courtesy on both sides.

  ### 13. Customizable Kudos and Meaningful Rewards Make Recognition Enjoyable

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Olivia G. | Operations Assistant, Information Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Matter?**

The kudos cards are more customizable than I expected. You can pick designs that match the situation instead of sending the same generic thing every time. I also really like that you can choose to donate your coins to charity instead of keeping them for yourself. I've done that a couple times and it feels good to turn recognition into something meaningful beyond just personal rewards. Matters whole system is straightforward enough that I didn't need training to figure it out. Really enjoying the tools so far.

**What do you dislike about Matter?**

Tools are easy to use and very helpful. No complaints to share.

**What problems is Matter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Recognition feels more genuine because people are putting thought into which cards they send. It's not just checking a box. I've noticed people being more specific in their messages too, which makes it clear they actually noticed what you did. The option to donate coins has also sparked conversations about causes people care about, which has helped us get to know each other better outside of just work tasks.

  ### 14. Effortless Recognition and Insightful Analytics Make a Difference

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Patrick R. | Operations Coordinator, Information Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Matter?**

The Feedback Friday automation is probably the feature I value most. It sends a reminder every Friday to recognize someone, which means recognition doesn't get pushed to the bottom of the to-do list when things get busy. The analytics have been helpful too for understanding participation patterns and seeing who's being recognized versus who might be getting overlooked. That visibility lets me address gaps before they become problems. The platform doesn't require ongoing administration, which is critical when you're managing operations. The tools are easy to use and train others on.

**What do you dislike about Matter?**

Great recognition tool that benefits everyone so far.

**What problems is Matter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Recognition is consistent now instead of sporadic. Before, we'd have bursts of appreciation when someone remembered to do it, but there were long stretches where nothing happened. The Friday reminder creates a rhythm that keeps it steady. The analytics also showed us that certain team members were rarely getting recognized, which prompted conversations about making sure quieter contributors get visibility. That data drove real cultural improvements.

  ### 15. Effortless Recognition That Makes a Real Impact

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Camille G. | Database Administrator, Information Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Matter?**

It's fast. That's the main thing. I can acknowledge someone's contribution without it turning into a production. No forms to fill out, no approval workflows, just pick a card and send it. For technical work that often goes unnoticed, having a quick way for people to say thanks when they do notice makes a difference. The fact that it took almost no time to set up was also important. Matter has been an all around lifesaver when it comes to recognition tools that actually make a difference without too much time.

**What do you dislike about Matter?**

Quick, easy, and love the tools. No complaints to share.

**What problems is Matter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

echnical contributions are getting acknowledged more. People outside of engineering are noticing when systems improve or when someone prevents an issue. That visibility has improved how other departments view technical work. It's also made it easier to collaborate because when people feel appreciated for helping, they're more willing to help again. The barrier to sending recognition is low enough that people are participating daily.

  ### 16. Automated Celebrations and Team Surveys Made Effortless

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Angela S. | Customer Success Representative, Information Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Matter?**

The automated celebration features have been a lifesaver. Before Matter, someone would remember it's someone's birthday or work anniversary about three days after the fact, and then it would be awkward to bring it up. Now it just happens automatically and people can add their own messages to the celebration. The survey feature in our plan is also useful for getting quick temperature checks on how the team is feeling without scheduling another meeting. It's all in one place instead of scattered across different tools.

**What do you dislike about Matter?**

Very thankful for the tools and not having to use multiple platforms. It’s very helpful and easy so far to use.

**What problems is Matter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

People feel remembered. That sounds simple but it's real. When your work anniversary rolls around and the whole team adds messages to your celebration card, it hits differently than a generic email from HR. The surveys have also given us better insight into what's actually working and what isn't, which has led to real changes in how we run things. People are more honest in quick surveys than they are in quarterly reviews.

  ### 17. Effortless Team Recognition and Connection Across Departments

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sunil A. | Legal Associate, Information Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Matter?**

Matter has made it easier to stay connected with people I work with across different departments. Legal can be isolating since you're often heads-down in documents, so having a way to recognize someone's contribution without scheduling a meeting or writing a formal email is useful. The card designs are professional and well designed. I've sent kudos to paralegals and other associates who've helped me meet tight deadlines, and it takes hardly any time at all. There is no interruption in my work, it adds value and is easy to use. Recommend if you are looking for a tool to connect your staff.

**What do you dislike about Matter?**

All I have found are useful resources and easy integration.

**What problems is Matter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Relationships with business teams have gotten noticeably better. When someone from other departments sends you kudos for helping them understand a regulatory requirement, it changes how they approach legal the next time. It's less of a last-minute fire drill and more of a partnership. Within our department, junior associates are getting more visibility for their contributions, which they weren't always getting before. People are paying attention to who's doing good work across all levels.

  ### 18. Motivating Recognition and Easy Rewards System

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Colin L. | Customer Service Representative, Information Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 10, 2025

**What do you like best about Matter?**

Honestly, I didn't think I'd care that much about recognition software, but it's been really nice to have. Getting a kudos from a teammate who noticed you handled something well actually means something. It’s really encouraging and brings a little joy into the day. The coins system is great too because they add up toward actual rewards. I love that it doesn’t take long to send a kudos and I can connect with peers more. It’s incredibly motivating too.

**What do you dislike about Matter?**

It's worked well for me so far and the tools are easy.

**What problems is Matter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our team has always been supportive, but this made it easier to actually say it. Before, you'd notice someone handling a tough situation well and then just move on to your next call. Now people actually take the second to say something. It's also helped me notice when other people are having a rough shift, because I'm more tuned into what everyone's dealing with. Things just feel more encouraging overall.

  ### 19. Effortless Recognition and Positive Vibes All Around

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rosa L. | Copywriter, Information Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 10, 2025

**What do you like best about Matter?**

I like that it gives people a low-pressure way to acknowledge good work without making it weird. Having a space where people can share positive feedback helps balance out all the critique that comes with the job. I've used the rewards feature as a way to treat myself after finishing a big project. It also helps that it's quick. I can send something between drafts without it eating into my actual work time. The variety of card designs is a nice touch because you can pick something that matches the vibe of your message.

**What do you dislike about Matter?**

No complaints. Really enjoying everything so far.

**What problems is Matter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

People are more generous with positive feedback now, which has made the revision process feel less like a critique session and more like a collaboration. I've also noticed that cross-functional teams are more likely to loop me in on wins. Before, I'd hear about campaign results secondhand, but now someone will actually send a note if the copy performed well. It's made me feel more connected to the outcome of my work.

  ### 20. Effortless Recognition and Seamless Team Collaboration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amanda T. | Research Associate, Information Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 10, 2025

**What do you like best about Matter?**

Matter helps our team acknowledge the incremental progress that often goes unnoticed in research work. I like how easy the awards feature is to use for marking milestones. It takes maybe 30 seconds to send a kudos card, and the templates are flexible enough that you can make them specific. The fact that everything lives in one place means I'm not trying to remember to send an email or post something on our team channel later.

**What do you dislike about Matter?**

No complaints so far. Everything has been easy to use and find when I need it.

**What problems is Matter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

People are more vocal about contributions that aren't just their own. Before, most recognition came from managers during meetings, but now it's peer-to-peer. I've noticed team members calling out each other's work more often, which has made things feel less top-down. There's also less awkwardness when someone helps you out. You can just send them a quick note the next day.

  ### 21. Matter Makes Recognition Effortless and Meaningful

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emily T. | Junior Operations Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 31, 2025

**What do you like best about Matter?**

Feedback Friday is the feature I didn't know I needed. Every week I get a prompt to recognize someone, and it helps me pause and reflect on who contributed. Without that nudge I'd probably let it slip in the chaos of daily tasks. Writing a personalized message takes less than a minute, and the card designs fit a range of different tones depending on what you want to say. Very helpful and easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Matter?**

All good. Easy to implement and the support so far has been excellent.

**What problems is Matter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I've become more intentional about acknowledging my team. Having a consistent reminder built a habit that carries into other parts of how I manage. I'm more aware of contributions overall, which has made me more effective.

  ### 22. The Ultimate Platform for Meaningful Employee Recognition

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kevin C. | Junior Operations Manager, Information Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 31, 2025

**What do you like best about Matter?**

The card designs cover a lot of different situations, so there's always one that fits. But what really makes it work is that people write genuine, specific messages. The platform encourages you to actually say something meaningful rather than just clicking send on a generic template. That personal touch is what makes recognition land. The rewards added are excellent and the platform is really easy to use. I’ve seen a huge difference in motivation and support.

**What do you dislike about Matter?**

Can't think of anything, it’s the best all-in-one platform for employee recognition that I’ve used.

**What problems is Matter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The team feels more unified. Recognition became a way to reinforce what we value as a group, not just exchange surface level thank yous. It strengthened our culture in a tangible way.

  ### 23. Effortless Team Recognition and Insightful Participation Tracking

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Abigail D. | Junior Operations Manager, Information Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about Matter?**

Matter takes the guesswork out of recognition. My team uses it to thank each other, which shows me what they value without me having to ask directly. I can see participation rates and who's getting recognized, which tells me about team dynamics I might miss otherwise. The Feedback Friday reminders are useful because otherwise recognition falls off my list when operations gets hectic.

**What do you dislike about Matter?**

Very beneficial, easy to use, and great combined tools. No complaints at all.

**What problems is Matter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My team seems more comfortable with me. When I send kudos for specific contributions, it shows I'm paying attention to their work beyond just checking if tasks are complete. They've also become more supportive of each other, which has reduced the amount of conflict I need to mediate. Senior leadership has sent recognition to my team members too, which helps them see their impact beyond our immediate department.

  ### 24. Effortless Setup and Meaningful Recognition Boost Office Morale

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sanya K. | UI Developer, Information Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Matter?**

The setup was easy and I figured it out quickly. The customizable cards are actually well designed, which I didn't expect. The coins concept makes sense because it seems to encourage regular participation. Gift card redemption is straightforward, and the rewards options are excellent. Sending recognition with Matter is quick and easy and has really improved my connections and relationships within the office.

**What do you dislike about Matter?**

It was easy to implement and has been helpful for moral. No issues to share at this time.

**What problems is Matter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cross-functional communication improved. Different departments talk more directly now instead of everything going through product managers. When I help QA troubleshoot something or explain a technical decision, I'll get recognition that actually describes what I did rather than a vague thumbs up. It's easier to keep track of who helped with what when you're working on multiple projects simultaneously.

  ### 25. Effortless Recognition Made Fun and Easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emma T. | Customer Success Representative, Information Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Matter?**

Matter is very straightforward. We needed something to help with recognition across accounts and this does the job without being complicated, and as a bonus it’s fun too. The awards are useful when someone hits a big milestone or renewal. I use it at least once or twice a week to send kudos when I notice someone handling something well. It doesn't get in the way of actual work, it is more like a great addition.

**What do you dislike about Matter?**

No complaints actually. The platform has been really easy to use and helpful for me.

**What problems is Matter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

More people are speaking up when they see good work. It used to be that only managers would point things out, but now it happens between peers. I've noticed people are quicker to acknowledge effort instead of waiting for something to be completely finished. That's changed how collaborative things feel.

  ### 26. Effortless Recognition and Team Connection with Matter

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sunita R. | Backend Developer, Information Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Matter?**

Matter makes it easy to recognize contributions without pulling people into meetings or interrupting their day. I work in systems and infrastructure, which means a lot of what I do isn’t visible to the rest of the company. But since we started using Matter, I’ve received recognition in Slack about my work performance. It’s really helped make my work feel more connected to the team.Recognition is much easier with the templates. Awards are also a great feature!

**What do you dislike about Matter?**

Really easy to use and supportive. I’ve found all of the resources to be helpful and simple to implement. Nothing to dislike.

**What problems is Matter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The team has started sharing kudos during projects. It’s kept us encouraged and improved the communication substantially. It’s created more interaction between engineering and product, especially after deploys or during planning weeks. Work has improved and so has moral. I attribute that to the ease of use of Matters tools that encourage us to recognize each other more frequently.

I really like all of the options it has, templates, and especially the rewards! Highly recommend if you are looking for a tool for employee recognition.

**What do you dislike about Matter?**

It’s easy to use, works right into the software I am already using, and has been very easy to implement. No issues

**What problems is Matter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Team communication feels easier. People are more willing to acknowledge good work in real time, and that’s built more trust across shifts. The atmosphere feels more supportive overall. Connections across departments that I didn’t have before Matter has really been the largest impact. I feel like I am part of a larger team now.

**Reviewed by:** Gaurav K. | Marketing Manager, Information Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

The variety of card designs keeps things fresh. There's something for every situation, whether you're celebrating a big win or just thanking someone for a small favor. People get creative with the messages they write, which makes it feel personal rather than generic. Setup took maybe ten minutes and people were sending cards the same day. The barrier to entry is basically nonexistent. It was easy to integrate with Slack and the customer support is incredible.

**What do you dislike about Matter?**

No complaints, we use it daily and it helps our performance and motivation.

**What problems is Matter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Team morale is stronger. People feel like their contributions matter, especially after demanding periods when everyone is exhausted. That acknowledgment keeps motivation high and helps prevent burnout.

**Reviewed by:** Jacob M. | Talent Acquisition Specialist, Information Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 31, 2025

**What do you like best about Matter?**

Keeping track of birthdays across a growing team was getting overwhelming. The automated celebration feature collects dates and handles the rest. A card goes out, people add their messages, and nobody has to maintain a master list. It sounds simple but it removes significant mental overhead. The cards look polished and people genuinely enjoy contributing their personal messages.

**What do you dislike about Matter?**

Nothing comes to mind. Really helped me take tasks that were tedious off my plate. Enjoying the platform so far.

**What problems is Matter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

New hires integrate faster. They feel like part of the team sooner because they're included in the culture of recognition from day one. It helps build that early sense of belonging that's so important for long term retention.

**Reviewed by:** Aarti S. | Research Analyst, Information Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Matter?**

The best part for me has been how Matter encourages specific, thoughtful feedback. Recognition isn’t vague or surface level. I’ve received appreciation for how I present data, explain risk, or connect research to team goals. That level of clarity means a lot in a role that often works in the background. The best thing is that Matter has all the resources I need for recognition in one place. Their rewards are incredible and the feedback Friday really brings us together as a whole.

**What do you dislike about Matter?**

The platform is very helpful to me and really flows well. It’s easy and I haven’t had any problems to share. Company has adopted this very quickly.

**What problems is Matter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The kudos cards let me recognize people in a way that feels thoughtful without being overly formal. In a role where most of the work is behind the scenes, it’s nice to have a way to say, “Hey, I see what you’re doing,” and know that others are doing the same. It’s helped bring more appreciation into a space that usually stays heads-down. All of the tools Matter offers has made a huge difference in my daily tasks.

When someone sends kudos, it shows they're paying attention to what we do. That's made budget conversations easier because leadership sees the impact. The awards feature is my favorite part of Matter. Our team has made it into a little tradition. **What do you like best about Matter?**

I’ve been using Matter for quite some time now, and I have to say, the experience has been nothing short of amazing. It’s such a thoughtful and engaging platform that allows us to regularly acknowledge the hard work, dedication, and contributions of our team members. Every week, we have the opportunity to highlight the great things our colleagues are doing, celebrate their achievements, and make them feel truly valued and appreciated. It has not only strengthened our team’s morale but also created a more positive, supportive, and connected work culture where recognition is a natural part of our routine.

**What do you dislike about Matter?**

I hope we can send more kudos every week.

**What problems is Matter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Matter is solving a challenge that many teams face—making recognition and appreciation a consistent and meaningful part of the workplace culture. In busy work environments, it’s easy for small wins, behind-the-scenes efforts, and individual contributions to go unnoticed. Matter bridges that gap by providing an easy, structured, and engaging way to give and receive feedback and recognition on a regular basis.

For me, this has been incredibly beneficial because it fosters a stronger sense of connection and teamwork. It encourages open communication, boosts morale, and helps build trust within the team. It also ensures that people feel seen and valued for their efforts, which in turn motivates everyone to continue doing their best work. Ultimately, it has helped create a more positive, supportive, and high-performing work environment.

  ### 48. Matter has been Great

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aimee G. | SDR, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Matter?**

What I like most about Matter is how it brings everything together in one powerful, easy-to-use platform. I can customize it to match exactly how I work, set roles and permissions so the right people have the right access, and trust that performance stays fast and reliable—even on mobile. The dashboards make it effortless to see my key metrics at a glance, and the reporting tools help me dig deeper when I need details. I also appreciate the automation that takes repetitive work off my plate, plus the content library that keeps all our resources organized and easy to find. It’s a platform that feels both flexible and efficient, and it genuinely supports getting things done.

**What do you dislike about Matter?**

can feel overwhelming at first because there’s so much you can customize. Setting up user roles and permissions takes some initial effort, and getting dashboards and reports exactly how you want them may require a learning curve. Automation is great once configured, but it’s not always intuitive for beginners. Also, because it’s packed with features, it can run slower if overloaded with large amounts of content in the library.

**What problems is Matter solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Matter solves the problem of scattered tools and disconnected workflows by bringing customization, content, reporting, and automation into one platform. Instead of juggling multiple systems for data, dashboards, and documents, everything is in one place—accessible anywhere, even on mobile. This means less time switching between tools, fewer errors from miscommunication, and faster decision-making with real-time dashboards and reports. For me, it’s made work more efficient, improved team collaboration through clear role-based access, and freed up time with automation that handles repetitive tasks.

Best tools and support I’ve found with employee recognition platforms I’ve used and I haven’t run into any complications so far.

**What problems is Matter solving and how is that benefiting you?**
