"Empowering Citizen Developers to Transform Business Processes"

What do you like best?

- Unlike other DPA platforms, K2 doesn't want to be everything for everyone but instead focuses on their strengths. Do you need intelligent automation? The product works with TensorFlow or Microsoft Cognitive Services. Do you need RPA? UIPath will integrate directly with your process models. Do you require advanced reporting and analytics? Integrate PowerBI dashboards into the platform. Your process automation solutions can be architected from the best of the breed components offering great flexibility via integration capabilities.

- Comprehensive documentation provides quick paths to self-enablement. K2 is very transparent about their technology. Forget technical consultants that charge you the premium for that secret sauce knowledge required to operate DPA platforms.

- K2 pricing model allows customers to tinker with small projects, then expand into more massive programs as the enterprise adoption of Process Automation expands over time. You don't have to buy products with features you will never use. You can, however, extend the platform via multiple APIs to address use cases that don't fit into the Low Code paradigm.

- Platform infrastructure is very reliable. Occasional bugs and software glitches do happen, but the company is releasing fix packs on a very aggressive schedule. Hosting on Azure provides access to unlimited compute resources.

- The company is easy to work with. Sales, Professional Services, and Customer Success teams offer the right level of support at the right time.

- Quick innovation cycles and instant feedback loops - K2 releases new enhancements frequently. They try to listen to their customers.

- Focus on Citizen Developer adoption of DPA solutions. K2 offers quick ramp up via multiple training options, self-study, assisted development (learning on the fly) and the quality of documentation that's hard to match compared to other vendors.

What do you dislike?

- Platform health monitoring is still lacking although it offers tons of diagnostic data buried in multiple log files. Correlating all of this information can be challenging.

- The user community is a bit fragmented.

- Compared to other DPA platforms, the number of job opportunities is still smaller. There are pockets of hiring activity related to the SharePoint ecosystems.

- Microsoft ecosystem of Digital Process Automation technologies can be confusing: Microsoft Flow, Nintex, PowerApps, AuraPortal, SharePoint, and K2 seem to compete for the same DPA aka workflow automation market. In my view, K2 leads the Microsoft pack.

- Deployment leaves room for improvement.

- The partner ecosystem includes companies that specialize in many Microsoft products and at times confuse positioning of K2. You need to know what to ask for to get the maximum value vs. expect to be guided.

- Terminology and jargon can be confusing at times and won't adhere to standard glossaries used by process practitioners. A certain level of experience and concept translation is required to connect both worlds.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Before investing into K2 Platform ask your stakeholders about business needs that need to be addressed with such investment. Ask yourself - what types of business processes require improvement? What is my company level of maturity with the practice of business process management? You will need a team to support the rollout of the platform. If your team of 2-3 is also doing SharePoint, Dynamix and JavaScript development you are missing on the opportunity.

"The most suitable process and workflows automation solution."

What do you like best?

I like how K2 speed up our wok by automating and streamlining every workflow and processes within our organization.Has an excellent support team that is very responsive and helpful when having any issue while working with K2.Ite very easy to use like 1,2,3...thus implementation and setup process didn't consume much of our time.Likewise this software is highly customizable to meet all our business needs and objectives.Finally,the integration with SharePoint and Salesforce increases productivity of business organization.

What do you dislike?

Although it does what it's supposed to do would like to see a very intuitive,eyes appealing and users friendly interface in K2 platform so as to make it easy to navigate.

Recommendations to others considering the product

K2 platform is not a software they should take for granted because its simply the best in automating workflows and business processes.

"Powerful and flexible BPA product"

What do you like best?

Although the software platform is excellent, what I like best about K2 is actually the staff. From our initial pre-sales team to the remote services and support experts I've dealt with for both development help and technical difficulties, everyone has been friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to work with. To me, this is worth more than the technical capabilities of the software itself (which are also excellent).

What do you dislike?

We had a lot of trouble with the installation of the product, and getting moving on development. I believe some changes were made and this issue has been addressed so other customers don't experience similar growing pains, but it was definitely difficult for us to get started.

Recommendations to others considering the product

We primarily purchased this to replace SharePoint Designer / InfoPath as Microsoft was moving away from these tools, and we evaluated it against Nintex, to which K2 proved to be a superior product in our minds and would allow us to grow beyond use with SharePoint and use it as an Enterprise level BPA solution.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We have a tremendous amount of paper-based processes that are inefficient and difficult to track, let alone analyze and improve on. Building forms and workflows with K2 has allowed all of these processes to become more accessible and streamlined.

What do you like best?

Having had the pleasure of working with K2 for over 7 years now, I can attest to the company's relentless commitment to R+D.

Each year, K2 is releasing new cutting edge features and functionalities through a series of updates and product upgrades, granting one of the industry's highest continued added values to its customer base. This, naturally, extends directly to the way K2 can easily be integrated and seamlessly be consumed throughout the Microsoft ecosystem, making it a perfect fit for "MS Outfits". Use BPM front ends as native SharePoint Web Parts, Mobile Forms, .NET enriched applications or Smart Forms - something you can achieve effortless with K2.

What do you dislike?

Despite having with K2 Five, Cloud and K2 Appit very attractive licensing options in place, K2 does have the potential to provide more attractive market entry options for SME's.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Evaluate the cost/benefits of other market leaders (Gartner/Forrester) in BPM with K2 in terms of:

1. Low Code process app building (adaptive)

2. Integration capabilities (Smart Objects)

3. WYSIWYG form building (Smart Forms)

4. SOA

- Within a strictly MS oriented architecture.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are mostly applying K2 iBPMS for complex, mission critical banking processes for customers that are highly MS centric (SharePoint, MS SQL, Azure, Office 365). That covers processes for mortgage, personal loan, car loan, corporate loan and credit card approvals as well as processes related to import/export finances, FOREX, international money transfers, AML, KYC, Worldcheck, FATCA, BASEL III - IV and others.

"My go-to solution with K2 platform"

What do you like best?

I like the way this software outmates our workflow and processes with ease and speed.I like the ease of implementation of this software to our organisation.Another thing I like about K2 platform is the way it integrates with other third parties software we uses like SharePoint online.Reporting is also excellent with K2.This software can also be accessed from multiple devices hence it's very flexible.

What do you dislike?

The User interface of this software is not very intuitive hence it should be designed in a better way to make it more attractive to users.

For a software that manages workflows and processes excellently,I recommend my colleagues and other organisations to give this software a trial.

"One of the most complete BPM suite out there"

What do you like best?

K2 has proven to be one of the most versatily Business Process Management System that I had the chance to use as a workflow programmer. The data abstraction layer provided by the smart objects infrastructure allows to easily integrate disparate systems into workflows. There is also an extended API which allows to integrate workflows accross all our developpement projetcs and/or custumize just about every aspect of the plateform.. SmartForms allows for RAD when doing simple to medium complexity workflows applications

What do you dislike?

Obtaning good performance from complexe SmartForms application can be a challenge. Debugging SmartForm application can also be a challenge as the error messages are sometimes cryptics or lack the proper level of details to understand what's going on. Out-of the box reporting is basic.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

anything and everything from new client/employee onbording to document approvals, Expense reports. etc.The RAD offered by smart objects and smartforms allows us a quicker turn-around from standard application/web dev.

"Process automation using K2 "

What do you like best?

Complex process automation can to achieved using K2 tools. K2 workflow, Smart Form and Smart object allows integration with SharePoint, Dynamic CRM, Service Now, DocuSign and many other applications. K2 is moving in the right direction with K2 Five and cloud offerings. Also one of the biggest plus of K2 product is unparalleled K2 support team.

What do you dislike?

K2 Smart Forms could use some improvement in allowing to apply better themes, client side scripting.

K2 Smart Forms team should give non technical K2 Smart Forms developer more option to allows branding of Smart forms.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Before implementing any workflow solution, I highly recommend evaluating K2 workflow automation tools.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

HR Approval and Application access - automate new hire, current, termination, suspension, returning users access to many different application that requires multiple level of approval from many different departments. Automation this process with K2 has saves us enormous amount of time and headache.

"BPA Architect and Developer"

What do you like best?

Reasonably fast development of web UIs while still having the ability to do complex interfacing with desperate systems via .NET coding (service brokers).

What do you dislike?

No [direct] programming interface to allow for using JavaScript and CSS. You can do it, but you have to "tuck it in under the covers".

Recommendations to others considering the product

The term Citizen Developer is used often as it relates to K2. However, a word of caution, the features, functions, capability, and needs of K2 will quickly grow beyond the skills of a BA (Citizen Developer). So plan on using human resources that have true developer skill set. You'll end up being much happier.

We use it within our loan servicing groups to manage the volume of work and reduce how often the data must be touched. We are working to take their entry work and funnel it into back-end systems.

"Business Process Automation"

What do you like best?

The thing I like best about K2, is that they are incredibly dedicated to supporting their product and partnering with us on solutions. We can reliably count on timely responses to support tickets. We've also gained a lot of useful knowledge using mentor credits and they are always available for general product support. With our last SharePoint workflow vendor, we had essentially zero support, so this is quite a change. Our company has a culture of mentoring citizen developers, where we meet weekly to talk about product updates, obstacles, how-to's, and show what we're working on. They've been incredibly helpful by joining these weekly citizen developer calls.

What do you dislike?

Permission can be a little difficult to wrap your brain around. Their are permissions around forms, workflows, and publishing rights. It's important to establish governance and best practices around who is allowed to design workflows and to have a review process on what is put into production. It is possible for a poorly designed workflow or loops to degrade server performance and/or bring down your environment.

Recommendations to others considering the product

There is a bit of a learning curve as some others have mentioned. Make sure you understand the licensing agreement.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We build a broad range of business solutions and automation in SharePoint. For instance, we built a SKU management system, email replacement systems, and dynamic intake forms to log tickets with the correct information the first time to allow the business to process requests. We've been able to build forms that dynamically hide and show information and pull data from other lists and data sources. This is the type of stuff we needed to rely on workflows in the past. We can also pull data from other sites and site collections which eliminates the need for duplicate data sources. The workflows are also a huge improvement from what we had before. The user tasks allow you too see a single workflow from the start of the process until it's completed. It also allows you to see who approved the requests and send reminder emails without building extra workflows or steps. This is a huge improvement in terms of ease and ability to audit processes.

"A unique platform with many uses"

What do you like best?

The form and workflow designers are excellent. They balance flexibility with necessary guard rails saving just the right amount of time. The platform is great in that it supports complex data models including many:many relationships. I like that it doesn't force you into a "mobile-first" approach, like PowerApps does. Our users don't demand mobile when they are at work, but K2 does allow us to build forms optimized for mobile, if we so desired. It has excellent bespoke integration with SharePoint and integrations with other systems are greatly expanded with the ability to connect to their REST API's.

What do you dislike?

Reactive response to bugs and issues. Issues aren't taken seriously if there is some form of workaround to the problem, even if the workaround is not intuitive. This approach does not proactively address how the system should operate to be intuitive, or what features it should include to be be more comprehensive. For example, the K2 OData API is exciting, but only supports basic authentication, which is a big limitation for us. They also are able to connect to Microsoft SQL Server, but they don't support OAuth authentication against Azure SQL database, which would best allow us to secure our data. I am often asked to submit feedback related to enhancements to their "ideas" site, but I get the impression that this is where good ideas go to die.

Recommendations to others considering the product

As with any platform, evaluate if K2 is best for solving your business problem, and buy K2 Cloud. I do not recommend the on-premises product unless absolutely necessary. Make sure that you have in-house application developers to develop on the platform. It is no-code, but it still requires a application developer to be effective. I would not supply the tool to end-users or power-users for their use.

The K2 platform allows us to solve complex business problems quickly with little to no code. It allows us to build complex processes and forms without having to compromise on users' demands without having to build a full application stack from scratch. It provides us reusable front-ends for data in our line-of-business-systems, with the added benefit of being cloud-hosted.

What do you like best?

"K2 Platform has Made the Process of Automation Easier and More Effective in our Firm. "

What do you like best?

Eventually, I used K2 Platform for a little time, but I found this software extremely functional and very helpful. With K2 Platform, most of the business operations are made easier and more effective. Again, I liked the total commitment and help offered by the support group of K2 Platform. The software is easy to install, set up, and execute, and also, it successfully integrates with other software. Furthermore, I found K2 Platform mobile friendly, and this makes it easy to automate most of the business operations from any location.

What do you dislike?

Nonetheless, the report feature of K2 Platform is somehow outdated, and tis means, the vendor should think of improving it to solve the needs of the customers. Again, I would recommend the developer to incorporate some themes to K2 Platform so that is looks more enticing.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

K2 Platform is very recommendable for DPA roles. The software will largely increase on your productivity, and this will make your customers more satisfied.

"Great product - stable but frustrating development"

What do you like best?

I like how K2 has evolved over time to become more capable and more user friendly. We have done a lot with no-code solutions using K2.

What do you dislike?

Development can be a little frustrating. We are not on K2 Five yet, but we have had lots of little issues of extra "rules" cropping up during iterative development of a new form or workflow that causes things to break. It can be difficult to troubleshoot, especially for non-developers. It also seems that there are certain "orders" of doing things that make things function more smoothly during development, but until you have experienced the pitfalls, you don't always know that.

"K2 Five for On-Prem"

What do you like best?

The uniqueness of the K2 platform is that it has the ability to work as a stand-alone system, separate from SharePoint. It is one of the things that that drew us to K2 is the fact that it is its own platform but that it also plays well with SharePoint. The fact that it also connects to a WIDE variety of other external sources is a huge advantage. You can connect multiple lines of business to each other and simply your business processes. And that is a huge value.

What do you dislike?

Most of my team has been trained on and very used to K2 4.7. K2 Five represented a large challenge because everything is web based. There is no more forms designer (Please bring it back ASAP) and the designer in the web lacks many of the features that the forms designer had. So K2 really needs to bring back the forms designer from 4.7 or hurry up and get the web version caught up with features. Also, they need to get on-prem releases out MUCH sooner than once a year, especially since they deployed what I would feel to be an incomplete version of K2. I feel like it was released too soon when we purchased it. And the install on-prem was a huge challenge for us as well. But K2 5.2 is much better and so they are definitely on the right track.

We are rebuilding security assessment processes. Also rebuilding our architecture design and review processes.

"K2 - King of Process Automation"

What do you like best?

Very powerful tool for business process automation extends out of the box SharePoint and enables longer running processes for O365 where Flow only allows for 30 day duration. The visual interface makes it easier to design processes.

What do you dislike?

Because it is a very extensive application, there is a bit of a learning curve to get up and running. However, they do have training available which is essential.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We have some very complex purchase approval processes with multiple branching. These are currently in on-premise and will be re-creating in the cloud version. In addition, there are some new projects coming up that will integrate with external on-premise systems from the cloud.

"Low Code platform fit our needs. "

What do you like best?

The application can be used by someone with no development background (we had a BA creating the workflows after the initial training). The user interface, ViewFlow, is visually appealing and gives a lot of insight. Being a stand alone platform was important to us in case we wanted to move away from SharePoint. They have a great customer support system that can walk you thru your issues.

What do you dislike?

Minor upgrades are pretty seamless but major upgrades can require some work fixing processes.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We have over 20 processes running in K2. A few simple approvals but most are very large business applications using Smartforms and workflow. We are now creating some K2 processes integrating with our RPA system.

It's easy to customize K2 platform according to our institutional needs.

The only problem with this software is that it lacks a mobility support thus in future I would like to see a mobile App of K2 so as to make it more accessible.

"Mix feelings on using K2 solution with a developer background"

What do you like best?

- Quickly implement solutions from idea with little technical background.

- Data can be driven and interact from most common Microsoft systems (SQL Server, SharePoint...)

- Management dashboard to track workflow and high level errors.

- Great for small projects and medium ones that doesn't need much interaction with many external systems.

- More powerful than InfoPath, as there are more rules and smartobject integration

- SmartAction. Have the ability to customize the keyword. This saves us alot of time and keep the upper management happy

- Visualize the workflow (though on silverlight)

What do you dislike?

- UI is very much outdated in today's standard.

- Hard to customize smartforms and very slow sometimes due to data loading.

- Rules are very hard to manage and duplication, along with no good versioning tool.

- API workflow call could be more robust.

- Only on Microsoft stack with no other options.

- Couldn't find a way to scale out easily.

- Not much endorsement on third party app developers. Some great ideas but never seem to make it to part of K2 build.

- Seems very slow on rolling out features, and there wasn't a clear roadmap on where it's going before K2 Five

- No adoption on AWS

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Great for small projects and medium ones that doesn't need much interaction with many external systems, with very well defined requirements and think long ahead how it can be scaled. Good to work with K2 architect first to narrow down the design.

Converted a email driven approval process to K2 with a formal submission and workflow approval. The benefits include one source of truth, metrics, and confidence to all users that it's an official process.

"Flexible Platform for Building Custom Workflows"

What do you like best?

K2's platform and toolsets let you build customized workflow processes quickly. The features included for notifications, escalations, and reporting exceed the capabilities of other similar solutions and custom built tools.

What do you dislike?

With version 4 there are some transitional issues that get in the way of some development and management tasks. From what I see most of those have been resolved in K2Five.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Focus on K2Five for your training and deployment rather than work on the earlier version.

Initial review by me seems to me that development and maintenance in the latest system has been simplifed and streamlined. It even seems like Five opens the door for end users to make updates and build their own workflows and forms.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are using two workflows in production right now. The workflows have provided quick development times and fast turn abounds on issues and new features.

Our first workflow has resulted in increased productivity and visibility for users across a range of disciplines from a single dashboard.

"Enable business processes automation driven by the business"

What do you like best?

The ability to provide an IT supported platform to the business where they can develop through configuration their business process fast and fully controlled by them.

What do you dislike?

The ability to store information in another platform like SQL server is great but you need super users or people with some skills to create databases. If this would be a functionality where it can be translated into non technical terms but still have the ability to create a new database outside the K2 database.

"A great platform that is easy to extend and integrate"

What do you like best?

K2 is open and extensible. You won't be painted into a corner. You can always bring your own solutions and plug them in.

What do you dislike?

The performance of retrieving a very large worklist is slow. RESTful API is maturing though.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

It's a solid, robust system that lets you bring your own modules and plug them in. Very powerful, customizable. I've loved it.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We have used the K2 blackpearl workflow engine to help us digitize the most high volume, mission critical processes that are core to our business. By doing that, we've gained valuable insight into the key performance indicators that can be used to measure our success with these processes. That simply wasn't possible before our K2 solution and we found ourselves making guesses instead of using real data to drive decisions and improvement ideas.

"K2 Forms automation"

What do you like best?

I like the fact that this application allows for quick set up of automated forms and how easy it is to use for users. Navigation around the forms is excellent and the users are loving it.

What do you dislike?

What i dislike about it at this point is that it does not yet have a fully functional mobile version which shows all details on a form for approval. If this is rectified, it will be a flawless application

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Currently we are concentrating on automating forms across the organization as a priority, after which we will move on to other business processes. So far, the benefits realised are a whole lot of paper work reduction and productive time for employees has been increased as they are not required to run around to get physical forms signed off

"K2 for Mixed Integration"

What do you like best?

K2 is a massive application that builds great workflows or full web applications. It can take information for multiple sources and integrate the data into one platform. Development and support are great!

What do you dislike?

When we first adopted K2, we were solely focusing on replacing SharePoint 2010 workflows. After more development with the application, we realized that it would be easier to replace the entire forms with K2 Forms and workflows. We had a slight problem with initial integration due to the security setup of our AD structure. Once resolved, the application was easy to setup and use.

I would recommend talking to others that currently use the platform and see how they use the application.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are using most of the features to solve business processes and information flow between K2 and SharePoint.

"K2 SmartForm Developer"

What do you like best?

The UI, look and feel is great with they way everything is so clear and simple. Its really quick to create forms and processes from start to finish. Like the integration aspect also.

What do you dislike?

No search function withing the rules there is however in the states but not within the rules itself, but rectified with K2 Five. Package and deployment tool dependencies has constant conflicts that takes ages to compare. (Apparently Fixed in K2 Five)

"Solid business process platform at a very reasonable price."

What do you like best?

We have some internal systems and process issues that we have not been able to find a permanent solution for, which has impacted data used in workflows and can cause errors. The ability to restart from a point in the workflow has really helped us, our old workflow package did not allow that.

What do you dislike?

The product has done everything we have asked from it so far, our issues regarding workflow are not related to this product, but rather our other systems and business processes.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

The K2 cloud platform is very flexible and extremely easy to use. It has the most robust logic designer I have seen; very intuitive and allows new users to be proficient immediately.

We mostly use it for complex approval processes.

"Excellent Product!"

What do you like best?

K2 is very powerful and flexible giving us the ability to automate many business processes that were once manual. A little time designing the process saves a considerable amount of time spent on routine processes.

What do you dislike?

The upgrade from K2 4 to K2 Five requires rebuilding existing forms and workflows, with no direct upgrade path.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We have dramatically reduced the time-spent onboarding and off boarding employees using the K2 software. Account creation and termination is now an automated process with little user intervention.

"Improve efficiency, decrease cost"

What do you like best?

Product versatility to be able to reduce the chance for human error in otherwise manual processes.

What do you dislike?

In previous version there was a disconnect between modules. The new version seems to have corrected this issue.

Compare with other products to make sure the fit is right. While K2 works perfectly for us, it may not for your processes.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We're increasing and decreasing costs by eliminating manual processes, thereby reducing the need to hire additional staff in various depts, or allowing us to utilize existing staff in better ways. Our on-boarding and off-boarding process alone has allowed our org to regain 15-20 hours biweekly across several depts.

"An excellent workflow platform for SharePoint!"

What do you like best?

K2 provides an excellent, well round platform, feature rich for the simple to the most complex SharePoint workflows. Computations, logic, branches, loops, advanced conditions, web services, data integrations, multi stage multi step workflows are all possible with this system.

What do you dislike?

K2 has a bit of a learning curve. However, the online documentation and examples keep improving so this is a good thing.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Do your research first, and allow your developers and users to receive K2 training.

I have solved fairly complicated problems such as migrating database drive Lotus Notes applications to SharePoint On Premise and Online using K2. Was able to use web services api to interact with the Microsoft Office 365 apis from SharePoint via K2.

"Digital transformation"

What do you like best?

Consolidate all pending action task in one place. Able to track and trace every approval action, process, activity in details in terms of Date and Time. Eliminate manual form disappearing and the integration with other platform such as SAP and Microsoft SQL database tables from other system.

What do you dislike?

Not really a fast development tools although it is a so call low code platform. Example: Need to develop the workflow process even though there is existing similar workflow process. Not able to just copy paste and re-use.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

K2 is moving forward and it is a value for money product. Example: I believe K2 is going to release voice control in the near future where I am very excited to use this feature in our workflow process. Looking forward on K2 AI as well.

From a developer site, did not benefit much from it. While from user point of view, other than we can see all pending task in worklist,

"K2 has turned out to be a valuable and go-to tool for using SharePoint."

What do you like best?

The biggest benefit is the connection we can make to our on-premise SQL server data.

What do you dislike?

I wish there was versioning on forms like there is on workflows.

If you are looking for a solution that integrates your on-premise data sources with a cloud solution, you have to take a serious look at the capabilities of K2.

We are converting EXCEL and ACCESS solutions to the K2 Platform. Users are starting to realize the benefit of using K2 over EXCEL gives them access to data security, real-time reporting dashboards and more.

"Transition to a paperless organisation"

What do you like best?

K2 enabled us to get rid of our paper forms and sending those forms back and forth between sites using internal mail. As a result we save a lot of time (and a couple of trees :) and requests are processed a lot quicker.

What do you dislike?

When faced with a problem or design challenge, it's sometimes hard to find the right piece of information, even though the information is neatly grouped together.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

As a company with multiple sites, we've been able to eliminate internal mail in our approval processes as well as dramatically improve the speed of approval.

What do you like best?

What do you like best?

K2 is always expanding and offering new features in its product. It's also capable of integrating with various applications which makes it easy to expand the Workflow features to other application.

What do you dislike?

The UI for smart form is a bit dull and boring.

"Great tool with oportunity for improvements."

What do you like best?

Create workflows is really simple and powerful at the same time, the way business rules are handled gives you the opportunity to créate complex business process with Little effort.

What do you dislike?

The views are very limited and difficult to implement, créate simple tasks require a lot of rules and setup.

We use K2 as our main BPM to manage authorizations that require the use of a authorization matrix and delegation processes.

What do you like best?

Low coding effort, fast to implement and drag and drop base.

What do you dislike?

It may take sometime to learn if you are not programmer, deployment on infrastructure and installation may take time at first stage.

"K2 for business process automation "

What do you like best?

I like the ability to easily integrate multiple line of business systems and quickly create applications to manages business processes. Rapid development and reuse of existing objects make building applications much easier with minimum use for code. SmartObjects, SmartForms and the workflow engine make K2 a very powerful enterprise development platform.

What do you dislike?

I used to struggle a bit with the workflow development environment however this has recently replaced in K2 Five with a much more intuitive and user friendly engine.

Mainly administrative processes such as financial approvals, file management, and booking applications.

The workflow implementation and deployment is the best feature. The smartobjects are very convenient to work with.

Improvements in UI is required for K2 designer. Workflow can be confusing for the beginners.

What do you like best?

Easy to use, easy to understand. K2 hides all programming for user that do not know how to program but still let you connect to your own system.

the support team is excellent and always find a way to solve your problem

There is some correction needed to be done in the class that confuse some of the users.

What do you like best?

the workflow designer has come a long way with lot of improved features specially the user interface is so easy to create new workflow in few minutes.

smartforms can be improved for responsive ui design and need more rich controls.

K2 is a swiss army knife for business problems, we use it for pretty much everything.

What do you dislike?

Ramp up time for training a new developer.

Understand that you will need training on this platform, but that ultimately, it's by far the best in class and absolutely worth investment.

"Horrid and not user friendly"

What do you like best?

When we stopped using it. It was very difficult to learn how to utilize K2 and incredibly frustrating.

What do you dislike?

Pretty much everything but specifically when we were using it for forms and trying to build forms. I felt like we did not get the support we needed.

We were unable to utilize K2 for the problem that we needed. We spent a month trying to modify K2 to work for our needs and did not.
