What customer support options does Laserfiche provide, and how do users find the overall support experience?

Laserfiche provides direct support and self-service resources, with 24/7 live-representative support available. The overall support experience is often described as responsive and helpful, with knowledgeable assistance and quick issue resolution; some users also encounter slow case handling or find troubleshooting more involved.

What is the experience like for teams switching to Laserfiche from another tool?

Switching to Laserfiche has helped teams move from older or less capable document systems toward a centralized repository with more flexible workflows, forms, and search. The change is valued for stronger automation and easier access to records, though getting the new environment configured and learning its tools can take meaningful effort.

What features or capabilities could make Laserfiche even more useful?

Laserfiche could be more useful with improvements that make building and refining processes less demanding. Users point to several areas where added flexibility and guidance would help:
  • Expand form customization, including more controls, easier styling, and richer options for reassignment.
  • Make workflow design easier to navigate, with clearer terminology, templates, and more straightforward editing.
  • Strengthen reporting and analytics so teams can manage and review process data more effectively.
  • Improve feature consistency across cloud and self-hosted deployments, particularly for newer capabilities.

How useful do Laserfiche users find its AI features in everyday use?

AI features are useful in day-to-day work when they reduce manual data entry and help staff extract information from documents, but the experience is not uniformly mature. Users describe practical value in automating metadata and form tasks, while also wanting broader, more flexible capabilities.
  • Document capture and metadata: Smart Fields help extract information and populate metadata from documents.
  • Forms and information retrieval: AI-assisted form filling and chat-based tools can help users complete forms and find information.
  • Document summaries: Automatic summaries can condense lengthy documents into a quicker overview.

Is Laserfiche considered safe and secure for handling data?

Laserfiche is used to centralize sensitive records and control access through permissions, which users value for keeping documents protected and available to the right people. Careful permission setup matters, and some users raise concerns about whether particular security requirements, such as criminal-justice standards, are met in their environment.

"Laserfiche now with built-in AI features is a paperless office and so much more"
5/5
What do you like best about Laserfiche?

So many of Laserfiche components allow users to automate and streamline everyday tasks. And now Laserfiche has built in many AI features that not only help the user to navigate and develop, but also to search and fill out forms. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Laserfiche?

It takes a pretty sophisticated coder to implement yourself, but there are plenty of solutions providers that can provide whatever you need. As Laserfiche has built in more and more AI features, development is becoming easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Laserfiche?

The value of this tool is not as a file cabinet replacement; It is that the paper processes can be redesigned to add value in ways that weren't possible with paper. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Laserfiche?

It isn't a complaint as much as a reality. The cost of the software and the true value means you have to be willing to transform your organization. Old processes that have been around for decades likely will change when they aren't done on paper. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Laserfiche?

Laserfiche is a great tool for automation and retention. The limits of what you can do with it is really the limit of someone's imagination. Very customizable and even people who are not highly technical can find success working with Laserfiche. Customer support is usually really good as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Laserfiche?

A bit expensive. Sometimes the ala-cart module options can be confusing. It's nice to not have to pay for things you aren't going to use, but if you have most of the modules like we do, it can be a little tricky to navigate all of the systems to see how they are working together. Sometimes the repository searches are slow. The company is really pushing cloud for all of it's users, but cloud does not offer all of the feature and integration options as an on prem setup does. "Synchronization and Drop-Down Features Enhance Workflow"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Laserfiche?

I like the synchrony of Laserfiche. It's a quick way for us to gather information and have a record of it on both sides for the person submitting the information as well as the person receiving it. The synchrony allows a lot of options, such as the ability to have dropdowns where you're able to select information. This feature is extremely helpful because the dropdown makes it easier to fill out forms properly. Training on the initial setup was effective, and it didn't take us long to utilize Laserfiche. I appreciate how it helps with scheduling and form completion, acting as a very good productivity tool, allowing everyone to access the necessary forms and ensuring both submitters and receivers get a copy. What do you dislike about Laserfiche?

Sometimes, Laserfiche crashes, which causes some problems when it's not up and working properly. We have to go to a manual method of tracking appointments and form completion. It doesn't happen very often, but when it does crash or it's not available because the systems aren't working, it does create an inconvenience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Transformative Document Management with Laserfiche"
5/5
What do you like best about Laserfiche?

I love Laserfiche for its ease of use, making it simple to onboard new users quickly and get them excited about using it. The automation features and AI chatbots are amazing, and I can't wait to move to the cloud. The workflow capability has been amazing for organizing documents and standardizing naming and filing citywide. Laserfiche presents a simple out-of-the-box solution but also allows customization to meet all department and city needs. The transition from SIRE to Laserfiche has been awesome, and it has been incredibly helpful in standardizing document management, which is crucial for transparency and easy access for the public. What do you dislike about Laserfiche?

I do think that Laserfiche scanning and the templates within Laserfiche scanning would be better if we were able to improve and integrate the template rules that are available in LF12 Admin Repository. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined Document Management, But Setup Challenges"
5/5
What do you like best about Laserfiche?

I think Laserfiche is easy to use, especially the GUI interface, which is very straightforward and self-explanatory. It's very easy to train other people on how to use it, without needing to use much technical jargon, which is really important for us. The icons make it accessible even for non-computer savvy people. I also like that it's compatible with Microsoft Office 365, which makes it easier to work together with their tools. Additionally, I highly recommend it for its record management, archiving, and as a paperless solution. It's not just about scanning papers into the system; it offers forms, workflows, and an automation tool, which are valuable features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Laserfiche?

The farms feature in Laserfiche can take a really long time to load. This seems to depend more on the client's environment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Laserfiche?

The layout of the document explorer mirrors the tree layout from Windows, which makes accessing the content easy for our employees. There are two ways to access the content, the web version of the client or the installed desktop client. Laserfiche Forms is very easy to use to create forms and for employees to enter information. Along with Forms, the workflow process within Laserfiche, one can do quite a bit of manipulation of the content as needed. When we have had issues, we have been able to use the Laserfiche Answers community to find help, and our partner has been great to help. When our partner has not been able to help, they have contacted Laserfiche for us, and Laserfiche support has always been very helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Laserfiche?

To customize the Laserfiche web portal, it is tough to do unless you one has access to edit a visual basic package. Integrations between Laserfiche and other programs require one to know the Laserfiche API and some programming skills. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Reliable and Easy Document Management with Laserfiche"
5/5
What do you like best about Laserfiche?

I find Laserfiche very easy to manage and very reliable. It's effective for what I need it for, allowing me to spend more time in configuration and using the different modules and tools rather than learning to administer the system. The setup was easy for us because the way Laserfiche handles support; they did most of the heavy lifting, and we just worked with them on choosing the configuration and working through the different options. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Laserfiche?

The administration for the users can be a bit confusing, as well as how the documents are stored. Sometimes there's a different real-time understanding of the system's capabilities and what it is able to do. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Laserfiche?

Anyone can develop in Laserfiche. Their Learning Center has everything you need to build out your business processes, whether you’re using low-code tools or creating custom workflow events. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Laserfiche?

The cloud is no CJIS and their AI is just regex on steroids looking at ocr'd text rather than computer vision which in my opinion is more equipped to handle documents captured via phone camera rather than an electronic document. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Automates Government Processes with Ease"
5/5
What do you like best about Laserfiche?

I like Laserfiche's ease of use and the way you can customize it. It has some really good features and an API with other apps. I enjoy creating new workflows and processes, and it's very friendly for users to use. The aspects of ease of use and design are very helpful for other people. It has been very helpful in training others. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Laserfiche?

I don't really have any other issues. I think the only thing that would be helpful is they have more customized processes and codes that one could use, they could easily implement into your own programs. I would say it was moderately difficult. Sometimes the coding was hard to use and where the customization plus there's so many. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
