**What do you like best about Laserfiche?**

The value of this tool is not as a file cabinet replacement; It is that the paper processes can be redesigned to add value in ways that weren't possible with paper.

**What do you dislike about Laserfiche?**

It isn't a complaint as much as a reality. The cost of the software and the true value means you have to be willing to transform your organization. Old processes that have been around for decades likely will change when they aren't done on paper.

**Recommendations to others considering Laserfiche:**

During the sales process gather the top processes and the problems they solve. Then during implementation make your on-boarding plans lead to those goals - not the process.
Processes that are digital don't sit on someone's desk. They live in the system and the workflow can be managed toward an ideal state where anyone can see any task and where it is in the process.

**What problems is Laserfiche solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Removing the need to be in the same physical place; teleworking for sales staff is now a possibility.
Automation of processes that involve other organizations, government agencies, and courts.

**What do you like best about Laserfiche?**

Laserfiche is a great tool for automation and retention. The limits of what you can do with it is really the limit of someone's imagination. Very customizable and even people who are not highly technical can find success working with Laserfiche. Customer support is usually really good as well.

**What do you dislike about Laserfiche?**

A bit expensive. Sometimes the ala-cart module options can be confusing. It's nice to not have to pay for things you aren't going to use, but if you have most of the modules like we do, it can be a little tricky to navigate all of the systems to see how they are working together. Sometimes the repository searches are slow. The company is really pushing cloud for all of it's users, but cloud does not offer all of the feature and integration options as an on prem setup does.

**What do you like best about Laserfiche?**

I think Laserfiche is easy to use, especially the GUI interface, which is very straightforward and self-explanatory. It's very easy to train other people on how to use it, without needing to use much technical jargon, which is really important for us. The icons make it accessible even for non-computer savvy people. I also like that it's compatible with Microsoft Office 365, which makes it easier to work together with their tools. Additionally, I highly recommend it for its record management, archiving, and as a paperless solution. It's not just about scanning papers into the system; it offers forms, workflows, and an automation tool, which are valuable features.

**What do you dislike about Laserfiche?**

The farms feature in Laserfiche can take a really long time to load. This seems to depend more on the client's environment.

**What problems is Laserfiche solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Laserfiche to offer my clients a paperless solution, providing a convergent system. It's easy to use with a self-explanatory GUI, making it simple to train others, even non-computer savvy users.

**What do you like best about Laserfiche?**

The layout of the document explorer mirrors the tree layout from Windows, which makes accessing the content easy for our employees.  There are two ways to access the content, the web version of the client or the installed desktop client.  Laserfiche Forms is very easy to use to create forms and for employees to enter information.  Along with Forms, the workflow process within Laserfiche, one can do quite a bit of manipulation of the content as needed.  When we have had issues, we have been able to use the Laserfiche Answers community to find help, and our partner has been great to help.  When our partner has not been able to help, they have contacted Laserfiche for us, and Laserfiche support has always been very helpful.

**What do you dislike about Laserfiche?**

To customize the Laserfiche web portal, it is tough to do unless you one has access to edit a visual basic package.   Integrations between Laserfiche and other programs require one to know the Laserfiche API and some programming skills.

**What problems is Laserfiche solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are updating the process of transmitting agenda items to the City Council from other departments within the city.  The process will streamline the whole process by having the approval process automated and not having to get wet signatures.

**What do you like best about Laserfiche?**

I find Laserfiche very easy to manage and very reliable. It's effective for what I need it for, allowing me to spend more time in configuration and using the different modules and tools rather than learning to administer the system. The setup was easy for us because the way Laserfiche handles support; they did most of the heavy lifting, and we just worked with them on choosing the configuration and working through the different options.

**What do you dislike about Laserfiche?**

The administration for the users can be a bit confusing, as well as how the documents are stored. Sometimes there's a different real-time understanding of the system's capabilities and what it is able to do.

**What problems is Laserfiche solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Laserfiche to manage documents, case reports, and personnel files. It's easy to manage, reliable, and effective, allowing me to focus more on configuration and using tools rather than administering the system.

Anyone can develop in Laserfiche. Their Learning Center has everything you need to build out your business processes, whether you’re using low-code tools or creating custom workflow events.

**What do you dislike about Laserfiche?**

The cloud is no CJIS and their AI is just regex on steroids looking at ocr'd text rather than computer vision which in my opinion is more equipped to handle documents captured via phone camera rather than an electronic document.

We are a Tribal Nation, Laserfiche has provided use the ability to store tribal member documents in a centralized location and the ability to integrate in to all of our case management systems.

**What do you like best about Laserfiche?**

I like Laserfiche's ease of use and the way you can customize it. It has some really good features and an API with other apps. I enjoy creating new workflows and processes, and it's very friendly for users to use. The aspects of ease of use and design are very helpful for other people. It has been very helpful in training others.

**What do you dislike about Laserfiche?**

I don't really have any other issues. I think the only thing that would be helpful is they have more customized processes and codes that one could use, they could easily implement into your own programs. I would say it was moderately difficult. Sometimes the coding was hard to use and where the customization plus there's so many.

I use Laserfiche to automate processes and manage records, helping create a record retention schedule.

**What do you like best about Laserfiche?**

I like how user-friendly Laserfiche is and how easy it is to train people on how to use it. It's pretty intuitive, so I don't have to spend a lot of time teaching a new user or someone from the public how to find a document. We have good instructions up online which helps.

**What do you dislike about Laserfiche?**

I wish the public portal was more customizable. It used to be more customizable, but with new updates, I can't do that as much. So some of my online users struggle to find stuff unless I have customized search forms in the portal.

I use Laserfiche to store documents, enabling quick access for my community without needing public requests. It's user-friendly, simplifies training, and saves time due to its intuitive design.

**What do you like best about Laserfiche?**

What I like most about Laserfiche is the ability to go from idea to implementation in a short period of time. I think it's the most versatile system we currently have in place that delivers many solutions with just this one tool.

**What do you dislike about Laserfiche?**

I don't have any areas that I know for certain need improvement. I just know that on occasion, I'll have some errors in forms that may act up a little bit, and I end up finding the solutions in the community. So I really don't have anything that is not working to satisfaction right now.

Laserfiche helps us manage records and processes across departments while solving security and access issues by allowing us to assign document permissions specifically.

I love how Laserfiche allows me to use smart fields to pull facts from unstructured documents, which makes tasks easier. I appreciate the ability to use API connections to enhance forms, making them smarter. Setting it up is easy, with no software to install.

**What do you dislike about Laserfiche?**

The cloud environment is great but like any product there are still minor features that should be added. We have issues with customer report features with already exist on the on-premise version. Details from tables and collections are not an option. Currently lacks AI agents.

Can quickly build and deploy a form with an approval workflow process in minutes.

Having to know a good amount of JS and CSS to really get the forms to fit and function the way you want to. I feel that many of the features could be pre-built into forms for easy of development.

I like how easy Laserfiche is to use and how there are lots of ways to integrate different applications with it. It provides a seamless way to search for documents and store them, and it allows us to easily get the information from the documents to our ERP. This makes Laserfiche valuable because we can save time and resources as we don't have to do these tasks manually. Laserfiche works great for our system and there's nothing I would improve or change.

I would like to see the ability to utilize quick fields for large documents containing thousands of pages and indexing them individually to a specific student, separate that student's document from the large document and store it to that specific student's repository.

I like Laserfiche for its customization options and the easy interface it offers both administrators and users. I can design applications tailored for grantees to facilitate accurate completion and make updates when necessary. The platform helps increase workflow efficiency and makes tracking and reviewing data easier.

Moving processes around in the process tab is challenging. I wish there was more freedom to move the arrows where I want them and it would be easier to create more space between tasks.

I appreciate the ease of use for end users when working with Laserfiche. It's great that we can use the color category for the file names, which really helps out our departments.

One thing that could be improved is the process around support and log management for IT departments. For a support case, we need to go to each server and gather the logs manually.

Laserfiche simplifies our AP process, from receiving invoices to payment, and it's easy for end users. We also use color categories for file names, helping our departments.

I like that I can train others very easily on how to use Laserfiche. It's beneficial for onboarding new employees and getting them adept at using the software. They're able to use it more easily. Also, the initial setup was very easy, probably a 4.5 out of 5, with five being the easiest.

**What do you like best about Laserfiche?**

I like how Laserfiche scans our paper into digital documents, which helps us maintain accounts payable and receipts efficiently. I also value researching the repository, which is a useful feature.

**What do you dislike about Laserfiche?**

I don't like having to use multiple products to scan documentation in. We currently use ABBYY and PaperPort alongside Laserfiche for scanning documents from the copy machine.

**What problems is Laserfiche solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Laserfiche for documentation and accounts payable. It maintains records and scans paper into digital documents. However, we still use ABBYY and PaperPort to scan from the copy machine.

I like the security and search capabilities of Laserfiche. With twenty plus years of large government reports and federal reports, finding information is good. I also appreciate that our provider helped us a lot with the initial setup, making it easy on our part, thanks to having an expert set it up for us. We really enjoy using it and find it very likely to recommend.

It looks intimidating for all of our new users.

It's not cheap. Our contacts at Laserfiche are in another time zone.

Laserfiche is helping us to reduce the need for paper storage and making our processes faster by no longer requiring paper forms, which were delivered/mailed, taking longer to get approvals and other tasks done.
