What do you like best about Zeffy?

I have found Zeffy easy to use for the event signups at my jazz studio. The interface is well-designed and leads you through the steps needed to post an event with tickets. I often don’t charge for tickets, so Zeffy allows me to manage a free event. I use Zeffy monthly as well as for a summer workshop where the signup is a bit more complex. I have had a couple of issues that were resolved quickly through a chat session, and the documentation has helped me quickly learn and use the program without outside assistance. What do you dislike about Zeffy?

What do you like best about Xero?

Xero is great of how simple it makes invoicing and tracking payments. I can create and send invoices right from the platform, and clients can pay through paypal, which fit well with how i alreday run things. Matching payments to invoices is easy straightforward and i really appreciate having all my subscription and monthly expenses in one spot. Before switching to xero, i was using one tool for invoicing and then tracking everything manually in excel and clickup, it worked, but it felt scattered and easy to mess up. One limitation of Donorbox is that, although the core features are strong, deeper customisation can feel constrained without developer support. For instance, advanced form styling, conditional logic, and more complex donor journeys may require workarounds or external tools. That can slow down experimentation when you’re trying to optimise campaigns.

The reporting functionality is clear and usable, but it could be more robust for organisations that need granular analytics. Features like custom report building, cohort analysis for recurring donors, and more advanced filtering would reduce the need to export data into external systems for deeper analysis.

Pricing can also become a factor as volume grows. The transaction and platform fees are reasonable, but as donation amounts increase, costs scale accordingly, which may lead larger organisations to evaluate alternatives.

What problems is Donorbox solving and how is that benefiting you?

Before using Donorbox, our donation process was fragmented and we had limited infrastructure for recurring giving. Donations were handled through basic payment links, which led to inconsistent donor data capture, manual receipt sending, and no dependable way to manage monthly supporters. As a result, administrative overhead increased and it was hard to forecast revenue.

After implementing Donorbox, we were able to centralise online fundraising with embedded forms and dedicated campaign pages. Recurring giving is now built directly into the donation flow, which has significantly increased the number of monthly donors and improved retention. Automated receipts and more complete donor records have also reduced manual admin work by several hours each month.

Donorbox has further improved our visibility into fundraising performance. With real-time dashboards and straightforward reporting, we can track campaign progress, monitor recurring revenue, and reconcile Stripe payouts more efficiently. So far, the email campaign report metrics are a bit meager, and the segmenting can be a bit confusing / clunky. What do you like best about Sage Intacct?

It seems to me that Sage Intacct has many tools and functionalities. We switched to Sage Intacct because it has too many functionalities. While some things may be lacking, it makes up for it with many other functionalities and add-ons that the application has. It helps us a lot in the accounting area when it comes to recording, modifying, and adjusting invoices, as well as in the automated calculation of taxes and the download of complete reports. Additionally, the connection with other applications, like Rippling, allows us to synchronize transactions with corporate credit cards. I also value the greater customization option that Sage Intacct offers to create specific and detailed reports, something we didn't have with our previous software, QuickBooks. What do you like best about Novi AMS?

Novi is more than just software; it is a community of associations who are all welcoming, collaborative, and willing to share their insights. What has stood out to us since the beginning, including during onboarding (2019), is the level of customer support they provide and how responsive and supportive the team is. Anytime I’ve had a question or needed help, they’ve been quick to jump in and make sure things get resolved. I also really appreciate the community of other associations using Novi; it’s welcoming, collaborative, and a great place to learn from peers.

The software itself is reliable, with strong features and robust reporting that make our work easier. We can configure a multitude of features to fit the specific needs of our association, rather than feeling boxed into a one-size-fits-all model. All features and updates are included in the price with no upselling or "nickel and dime"-ing. It’s very clear that Novi listens: our feedback actually shows up in product updates, which come regularly and make a real difference in how we use the system and can serve our members.

We've easily integrated with multiple other vendors for a robust connection of data and varying levels of member access to a variety of resources.

Their pricing is transparent and worth every penny (and then some). It was a noticeable increase in cost from our previous AMS, but Novi is an absolute game changer. It changed the course of my own career; I used to spend a good amount of time manually entering accounting transactions into QBO, but since implementing Novi I've had the opportunity to focus on strategic initiatives vs. administrative support.

Novi is critical to our Association's success. Most staff are in it every day, and it successfully serves as our 'source of truth' for all operations. I cannot imagine using another AMS again, and I don't anticipate we'll ever need to! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Novi AMS?

There is nothing I truly dislike about Novi. I would say a challenge of ours that has to do with our own capacity, is staying abreast of the features from releases. I've never opened Novi and felt 'lost,' but there have been times when we've realized that a feature that has already been released could improve our own workflow. Novi publishes easy-to-read release notes, hosts webinars on big releases, has a plethora of helpful support articles, and is incredibly easy to get ahold of for questions. What problems is Novi AMS solving and how is that benefiting you?

Novi has streamlined so many processes for us. The integration with QBO reduces administrative burden, the committee management helps us keep track of volunteers and their meeting attendance (automatically!), collects NPS scores, helps us identify which of our members may be at risk for non-renewal, offers pre-built and custom reports to create any report you could possibly need, and serves as an integral part of our business operations. I really like that NetSuite is very easy to customize. You can hire a consultant to customize the system or write a script, and the system can be expanded or tailored based on different business needs, making it almost like a bespoke system for any business. It's also very easy to use and understand. Being a 100% cloud-based system is a great benefit, especially since we have people working across the globe and it allows us to see data in real-time without waiting for transactions to process. Sometimes, if there's a feature that doesn't work with NetSuite, it can take ages for them to address it with an enhancement because not a lot of customers may want it. Stampli completely changed how our company sends out invoices for approval before payment. Before Stampli, I was being sent invoices for approval over email. This lead to some invoices slipping through the cracks and being lost until down the road, the accounting team would follow up and ask for approval again. What problems is ReadyMembership solving and how is that benefiting you?

Pixl8 has solved so many pain points for us. Here are a few of the most noteworthy problems they’ve helped us address.

Our student membership application process used to be completely manual. Roughly 600 applicants would complete a form, and a staff member had to enter each one into our AMS by hand every year, since we couldn’t previously run them through a renewal process. Now it’s all handled seamlessly through ReadyMembership.

We also used to have a take-home exam that relied on a downloadable PDF. Applicants had to print about 20 pages, handwrite their answers, scan everything, and then submit it for approval. Thanks to the Pixl8 team, our exam has now been digitized — they were able to figure out a way to make it happen!

Finally, our certification application process used to be extremely time-consuming. It involved downloading and manually completing PDF affidavits, waiting for sponsors to download the PDFs and write comments, and tracking where applicants were in the process through spreadsheets. Now the entire workflow has been converted into a 100% digital application and approval process, which has cut down a significant amount of staff time and our applicants can now obtain their certifications in a timelier manner. It has sped up approvals, given reps the ability to send contracts for signature instead of relying on dealdesk, and automated much of our deal data in Hubspot, including line items, ARR, TCV, etc. MonetizeNow has also helped us automate renewals and finally capture renewal data in Hubspot, rather than tracking it manually in a Google Sheet.

However, the best part of working with MonetizeNow has been Perry and the customer success team. They are genuinely attentive and provide a best-in-class CS experience.

What do you dislike about MonetizeNow?

There’s a learning curve with any software, especially CPQ, so be ready to learn a lot in a short time and to help guide reps who have never used it before. The calendar is buggy and it doesn't offer me the option of seeing all the calendars of the whole office at the same time. I coordinate the schedule and I need to see everyone's availability. We keep practice info at our fingertips and use it to track time. I also like the task tracking and the ability to set up task flows that trigger the next step on completion of the previous. What do you like best about Aplos?

Aplos is one of the few accounting systems set up purposefully for Non-profits. Their Fund accounting is easy to follow and set up went quickly. Customer support is thorough and swift. I use Aplos every day that I am in the office. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
