One thing that really good about is the integrations, especially with Gusto, Brex, and Mercury. The bill syncing from these platforms works really well and honestly saves a lot of time on the bookkeeping side. It reduces a lot of the manual work we’d otherwise have to do.

I've had some issues with using Zeffy for a couple of different campaigns, where each campaign has its own QR code. It's been a bit challenging explaining to the different members who are not technology-oriented that you can't just use a QR code over and over again. You have to use the specific QR code for the specific campaign. Maybe Zeffy could offer a master QR code, so that all the different campaigns can have the same QR code. There are some limits on customization, especially around user permissions. I wish there were a way to tailor a user’s role so they only have access to certain features, since every situation is different. I also wish there were more options for customizing emails and texts, including additional templates to choose from. Another improvement would be the ability to send text messages back and forth through the Engage tab; that would be helpful when I need to contact a donor without having to use a cellular device. Givebutter is helping me solve the problem of having to use multiple platforms like Mailchimp, Eventbrite, and spreadsheets. I’m a big believer that less is more, and from a convenience standpoint, it’s really nice to be able to handle most of my day-to-day tasks in one place. Givebutter is also helping us by providing a centralized platform to collect donations across all kinds of fundraising campaigns. What I dislike about Donorbox is that some of the more advanced features are locked behind higher pricing tiers, which can be limiting for smaller organizations. I would love to see improvements in merging vendors. It's a hassle when the vendor details don't work because of payment details or address errors, you have to create a new vendor for that transaction instead of changing it within the existing vendor. I use BILL AP/AR for managing vendor payments and tracking receivables. It consolidates vendor payments into one platform, saving me from entering transactions separately. Pixl8 has solved so many pain points for us. Here are a few of the most noteworthy problems they’ve helped us address.

Our student membership application process used to be completely manual. Roughly 600 applicants would complete a form, and a staff member had to enter each one into our AMS by hand every year, since we couldn’t previously run them through a renewal process. Now it’s all handled seamlessly through ReadyMembership.

We also used to have a take-home exam that relied on a downloadable PDF. Applicants had to print about 20 pages, handwrite their answers, scan everything, and then submit it for approval. Thanks to the Pixl8 team, our exam has now been digitized — they were able to figure out a way to make it happen!

Finally, our certification application process used to be extremely time-consuming. It involved downloading and manually completing PDF affidavits, waiting for sponsors to download the PDFs and write comments, and tracking where applicants were in the process through spreadsheets. Now the entire workflow has been converted into a 100% digital application and approval process, which has cut down a significant amount of staff time and our applicants can now obtain their certifications in a timelier manner. Anchor is solving the problem of messy, time-consuming billing and payment collection by making the entire process simple and streamlined — for both me and my clients. At Tech Daddy Global Solutions, while Refrens works well overall, there are a few areas for improvement.

Some advanced features and integrations can be expanded further, especially for scaling businesses. Occasionally, minor performance lags or UI refinements could be improved for a smoother experience.

The AI features are useful but still evolving, and there is scope to make them more powerful and insightful. Also, adding more depth in reports and customization options would make it even better.

The calendar is buggy and it doesn't offer me the option of seeing all the calendars of the whole office at the same time. I coordinate the schedule and I need to see everyone's availability. We keep practice info at our fingertips and use it to track time. I also like the task tracking and the ability to set up task flows that trigger the next step on completion of the previous. They were fine for a number of years but things dramatically changed this year. With one day notice they changed their processing timelines from 1 day to 3 days. They then had a series of errors that extended the 3 day fund hold to 6 days. They have done a terrible job of communicating, have been combative, and have turned into an awful partner. They are also, with no notice, instituting burdensome rules that I have not seen from other processors and offering no justification for those rules. My guess is that they had a major fraud incident.
