It was surprisingly simple. Donorbox effectively solves the problem of providing an easy way for us to communicate donation methods to potential donors, which saves time in receiving donations for our nonprofit. I find the ease of use and the simplicity with which people can donate via our site most valuable, along with the quick integration with PayPal for fast donation receipt. The low cost of Donorbox is another appealing factor, making it a service I would consider using again in the future. I think for the most part, I don't have a lot of negative comments about Donorbox. However, if I were relying on it more as a donor management system, which it tries to be, I don't find it very effective in that capacity yet. The interface can be clunky and confusing, making it difficult to search for individual donors or donations, which hinders its utility as a donor management database. Donorbox truly helped our non profit organisation by allowing us to easily create our fundraiser compaign and sponsorship programs for our rescue animals, and embed it to our website. I like the ease of configuration that Donorbox offers, as it allowed us to create the campaign very quickly and start receiving donations without any issues. I think Donorbox is very easy to use, and that's a big deal for us since we've never used this kind of software before. We're not really tech-savvy and usually do invites over platforms like Facebook, but Donorbox makes it very simple for anyone to handle. Setting up was straightforward, and I really appreciate that I receive an email notification each time a donation is made. I also like that donors automatically get a thank you note and a receipt for their tax records. The website is extremely user-friendly. I use Donorbox to raise funds for Ethical Seafood Research and launch a monthly giving program. I appreciate how it makes it easy to accept international donations in multiple currencies in a streamlined way. I can easily create new campaigns and donation forms, and automatically send receipts. I really like that Donorbox doesn't have any onboarding costs, making it very accessible for small nonprofits. The option to have embed forms or direct donation pages adds great flexibility, allowing me to start fundraising without needing to raise upfront costs to access the platform and to be more flexible in creating donation pages, whether on or off our website. My client runs a small charity (dog rescue) and I redesigned her website in WordPress when she wanted to move away from Joomla. She needed a way for people to leave donations, so I did some research. All the plugins I found initially seemed expensive for a very small charity like my client's, until I found Donorbox, which has no monthly/yearly fee if you go for the basic option. Yes, there is a fee per donation, but I have found that most donors are happy to cover this amount. It was incredibly easy to set everything up and the end result looks super-slick on her website.
