It has all the features required to generate invoices and Freelancers, Small Business owners, as well as other self-employed professionals, will find it very helpful. It has a mobile app so that anyone can generate invoices on the go. And to top it all it's free to use. **What do you dislike about Wave Invoicing?** Some features are not available in my country (India) such as Payment collection from the clients and making of GST-compliant invoices. Other apps I've used in the past are loaded with advanced features that I would never really use as a small business owner, but they are missing the more minor, essential elements that I need. What good is a tool if it has everything I don't need but nothing I actually need? Wave keeps things simple and user-friendly. It didn't take very long to learn how to use the features and if I don't understand something, they have excellent documentation that explains things in a way that is easy to understand. Wave recently released Wave Money, a business banking account that you link to your Wave Invoicing account. When I receive payment from a client, I can cash out that payment to my Wave Money bank account immediately and free of charge. It comes with a Wave Money Visa debit card, and I can use those funds directly or get cash from the ATM. I don't have to wait for days for funds to transfer or post to my account, and I don't have to pay an extra fee to receive my money sooner. It's a nice feature for a new, small business owner. Oh, I forgot! It's all FREE! **What do you dislike about Wave Invoicing?** I can honestly say I haven't come across anything I don't like yet. Wave takes the time to listen to their customers' needs, and by doing so, they have built a great tool. **What problems is Wave Invoicing solving and how is that benefiting you?** Record keeping is not my strong suit. However, I know how important it is when owning a business. This tool has kept me on track with record keeping because the features are easy to understand, and the tools inside the application are easy to use. It's a lifesaver during tax season. I have always done my taxes myself, and Wave has reports and tools that make tax preparation fast and simple. ### 5. You can also set recurring for any interval, including weekly, monthly, quarterly, or yearly. **What do you dislike about Wave Invoicing?** I would like to see the ability to block out weekends, holidays, or other specific dates from having recurring invoices sent. Right now in order to create a recurring invoice you have. To create a new invoice and add all information in. Its design resembles some of the core functionality of Quickbooks Online, allowing the user to Quote, Convert to Invoice, apply customer payments, and track everything while the process moves forward through the workflow. I would not say that being free is the best, but it contributes to its score. The best is that besides being free, clean, easy to use, and accounting focused, it allows any business to start in no time. Many good things for free software. **What do you dislike about Wave Invoicing?** The first coming to my mind is the support team saying to the community that they don't have the Spanish version on their roadmap, despite a bunch of user asking for it. Then there is this issue with the main accounts in the chart of accounts not allowing their names to be changed or different groups to be created. I guess that this is still part of its programming ...but dislike very much. **Recommendations to others considering Wave Invoicing:** Not in Spanish....only English. Allows Zapier integrations with other apps, so you can expand functionality. No inventory management. **What problems is Wave Invoicing solving and how is that benefiting you?** Solved half a dozen customers trying to organize their startup businesses with small budgets and easy to use the software. Took only 1 week to set up main features to be usable....and taught to at least one user...for 4 accounts! Accounting based software capable of quoting, invoicing, reconciliations, and easy to use journals...Solved. ### 15. Small businesses often have a small support/administrative staff so programs like Wave that make it easy to keep up with administrative tasks with accuracy and easy make a huge difference. **What do you dislike about Wave Invoicing?** Unfortunately, Wave still charges a fee for online payments and only allows you to accept payment through its integrated system (no PayPal/Square/etc). However, Wave's fees are reasonable and can be as low as 1.0% if you accept ACH payments. The fees are no higher than PayPal or other major online merchant services so the only inconvenience is that customers may not be as familiar with Wave's payment system as they are with PayPal. **What problems is Wave Invoicing solving and how is that benefiting you?** The only tiny issue is that Wave saves *every* item/service which can clog up the auto-populate fields if you have a lot of custom items or services. If possible, try to choose a generic category for your services and then add details to the description field. For instance, don't enter "Consultation on Sept 30th" as an item -- just type "General consultation call" and then add details in the description field. Very minor issue.
