"Update after over 2 years of using the Zeffy Platform."
What do you like best about Zeffy?

The issue is how difficult it is to see the donation for Zeffy and that it starts at 17 percent which makes people think that's just a standard fee. Other than that they continue to be 100% free and have a nice interface that is user friendly. There are many options for ticketing and services and even volunteers. They now have a nicer CRM and Have a Facebook group now for Zeffy users that can ask questions about how to do specific functions in the platform so you are not relying just on customer service.. they have a. Very nice CRM I have integrated Zeffy with Zapier but it wasn't easy or clear cut. The performance has been good so far and it has not failed to go through the payment process or volunteer sign up ever. IT is trying to incorporat AI, but I stay away from that kind of stuff on Zeffy, so I don't really use the AI/ intelligence feature it has. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Zeffy?

So. The issue is that you can't just uncheck the donation for Zeffy and you have to go to a multiple choice box. Then hit custom, then manually type the number 0 (zero). But to the normal eye it looks like the price went from $25 to $30. (Their standard is 17%. I still think for a free donation platform it's good, but I've had to put extra work to make videos and write and tell people how to avoid the Zeffy contribution. Also I have no way of knowing unless I ask, if they paid it or saw my video or not. If they made it easier to understand that the Contribution is optional and start at a less percentage rate, that wouldn't make it look like your trying to hid the fee. "Simplicity, No Fees, and Great Support with Zeffy"
What do you like best about Zeffy?

I appreciate the simplicity and no fees with Zeffy. I really like that it offers a download in Excel format, which makes it easy to sort and change the data, and create necessary reports for registration at various checkpoints like the check-in desk and raffles. The initial setup was very easy for me, thanks to my banking background. However, for those without such experience, Zeffy's customer support is awesome and wonderful, answering every question effectively. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Zeffy?

I've had some issues with using Zeffy for a couple of different campaigns, where each campaign has its own QR code. It's been a bit challenging explaining to the different members who are not technology-oriented that you can't just use a QR code over and over again. You have to use the specific QR code for the specific campaign. Maybe Zeffy could offer a master QR code, so that all the different campaigns can have the same QR code. From a programming point of view, I haven't figured out how to do that yet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Hubert Fanneau of Zeffy

Thank you Kay! Zeffy is a 100% free fundraising platform for nonprofits, and the simplicity and zero fee model you described are core to what the team builds for, so organizations can focus on their mission rather than managing payment overhead.

The Excel export you mentioned is something a lot of event organizers rely on. Being able to pull registration data directly into a spreadsheet and sort it by checkpoint, raffle, or check in desk is a real time saver on event day.

On the QR code question: Zeffy's Organization Page might be what you are looking for. It is a single shareable link that aggregates all your active campaigns in one place. You can generate one QR code for that page and it covers every campaign at once, so attendees can choose from a list rather than needing a code specific to each event.

Zeffy's peer to peer fundraising tools let supporters create their own fundraising pages linked to your organization, which can extend reach ahead of a conference or annual campaign. Zeffy also has a donor management and CRM built in, where every transaction automatically creates a contact record, useful for the conference team when tracking registration history across years.

Glad Zeffy is working for Kay and your team.

"Easy Event Signups with Zeffy—Great Interface, Helpful Support, and Updates"
What do you like best about Zeffy?

I have found Zeffy easy to use for the event signups at my jazz studio. The interface is well-designed and leads you through the steps needed to post an event with tickets. I often don’t charge for tickets, so Zeffy allows me to manage a free event. I use Zeffy monthly as well as for a summer workshop where the signup is a bit more complex. I have had a couple of issues that were resolved quickly through a chat session, and the documentation has helped me quickly learn and use the program without outside assistance. I am also impressed with the frequent and well-designed updates to the interface and functionality of the service. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Zeffy?

By design, Zeffy structures the available options to help users create sign-in forms. At times, though, that structure can limit my choices. I’ve submitted a request through their support area asking for a bit more flexibility on one of the screens. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Hubert Fanneau of Zeffy

Thank you Bill! Zeffy is a fee-free fundraising and donor management platform, and the event setup you described at your jazz studio, from free admissions to more complex workshop registrations, is exactly what the ticketing module is designed to handle with minimal friction.

The quick support turnaround you mentioned matters a lot when you are managing live event signups, and having issues resolved fast before a registration window closes is exactly what that team is built for.

The request you submitted for more screen flexibility is exactly where specific feedback like yours is most useful. Our product team reviews all feedback submitted through support and ships improvements weekly.

Two tools worth exploring for in-person events: Zeffy's Tap to Pay feature turns any smartphone into a payment terminal for selling tickets or collecting donations on the spot, no card reader needed. Zeffy's online store lets you list and sell items with inventory tracking and discount codes from your dashboard, which pairs well with recurring events where merchandise or add-ons are part of the experience.

Glad Zeffy is working for Bill and your organization.

"Effortless Fundraising with Stellar Results"
What do you like best about Zeffy?

I use Zeffy to organize fundraising campaigns and connect with donors. I really like that the campaigns are clear and straightforward. The donations go straight to our bank account, which means I don't have to deal with checks or cash. All the donor emails are in one place, and I can send out emails, newsletters, and reminders instantly. I appreciate how easy the tool is to use and that there are no fees involved. The payment organization and donor information pages are valuable to me because I can track what a donor has given, their exact donation dates, and their contact information. The initial setup was really simple too; I just needed to have the bank account, EIN, and nonprofit info ready. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Zeffy?

I've seen some other donation sites that organize the donor information as a chart and have a few more features - beginning date of first donation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Hubert Fanneau of Zeffy

Thank you for this review! Zeffy is a zero-fee fundraising platform built for nonprofits, and having campaigns, donations, and donor outreach all in one place with direct bank deposits is exactly the kind of streamlined experience it's designed to deliver.

The weekly automatic payouts and the ability to manage all donor emails in one dashboard are included at no cost, so you can focus on campaigns rather than logistics.

One thing you might not have found yet: the first donation date for each donor is available in their individual contact profile inside Zeffy's donor management dashboard, where their full transaction history is recorded. A visual chart overview of donor data across your whole database is great feedback for the roadmap and our team ships improvements weekly.

If your organization does any in person fundraising, Zeffy's Tap to Pay lets you collect donations or sell items from a smartphone with no card reader required. Zeffy also has an Online Store where you can list merchandise or other products with inventory tracking, which pairs well with your existing campaign setup.

Glad Zeffy is working for your organization.

"Free to Use and Helps Nonprofits Keep More of What They Fundraise"
What do you like best about Zeffy?

I like that it is free to use and allow non profits to keep more of the money they fundraise. I like that we can use it for many different types of fundraisers. It is easy to add different users, so it makes spreading the work out between volunteers and sub groups. I love that it is Canadian. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Zeffy?

I would like the ability to use it to print off packing/order lists for clients. I would also like the ability to deposit into different accounts for different fundraisers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Hubert Fanneau of Zeffy

Thank you for this! Zeffy is an all-inclusive fundraising platform with 0% platform fees, and supporting Canadian nonprofits with zero-fee fundraising across multiple campaign types is exactly what the platform is built for.

The multi-user setup means volunteers and subgroups can each have their own access, which keeps your team organized without putting everything on one person.

On the packing lists and per-fundraiser bank routing: that is genuinely helpful feedback. Our product team ships improvements weekly and all feedback we collect goes directly into building the roadmap.

Zeffy's Peer to Peer Fundraising tools are worth exploring with your volunteer base, as each supporter can create their own fundraising page with a personal goal, letting your subgroups run their own campaigns under your main organization. Zeffy's Raffles tool is also worth setting up if you run lottery-style events, with multiple ticket bundles, prize tiers, and 50/50 support included at no cost.

Nonprofits using Zeffy keep 100% of what they raise, and it is great to see that working for your organization.

"Mission First, Fees Last"
What do you like best about Zeffy?

I appreciate Zeffy because it allows us to keep 100% of the funds we raise. As someone who thinks constantly about efficiency and sustainability, I value platforms that don’t chip away at hard-earned donations. Every dollar matters — especially when you’re building scalable, impactful, and operationally excellent nonprofit capacity building.

I like that Zeffy removes friction. I don’t have to overthink transaction fees or hidden costs, which allows me to stay focused on strategy and growth rather than administrative drain.

I appreciate that the model invites donors to voluntarily cover processing fees. It feels aligned with transparency and shared ownership — people understand what it costs to move money, and they step in willingly.

I like that it’s simple but still functional. I can spin up a clean, professional donation page quickly without needing a developer or a long onboarding process. For a lean team, that matters.

I value that Zeffy makes fundraising accessible for organizations at different stages of growth. It democratizes tools that historically have only been available to larger nonprofits with bigger budgets.

Most of all, I appreciate that it supports mission first. The platform doesn’t try to upsell me — it simply allows us to focus on impact. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Zeffy?

There honestly aren’t many downsides to Zeffy — especially given that it allows nonprofits to keep 100% of their donations — but there are a few limitations to consider. I’ve found that while it’s incredibly cost-effective and easy to use, it doesn’t offer the same depth of integrations, advanced reporting, or built-in marketing automation that some larger, paid platforms provide. For more complex fundraising strategies or enterprise-level needs, I sometimes need to supplement it with other tools — but for straightforward, mission-focused fundraising, it’s hard to beat the value. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Hubert Fanneau of Zeffy

Thank you for this! Zeffy is a zero-fee fundraising platform built for nonprofits, and keeping 100% of every dollar raised is the foundation of what makes this model work for organizations that think seriously about efficiency and sustainability.

The zero-fee model applies across every campaign type on the platform, so whether you are running donations, events, or peer-to-peer campaigns, the same 100% retention principle holds.

On the depth of integrations and advanced features: that is genuinely helpful feedback. Our product team ships improvements weekly and all feedback we collect goes directly into building the roadmap.

Zeffy's Donor Management and CRM tools are worth exploring for operational efficiency, with automatic contact creation on every transaction, full giving history, tags, and smart filtering to help you track and segment your supporter base. Zeffy's Online Store is also worth setting up if your organization sells any merchandise or branded items, with inventory tracking and the same zero-fee model throughout.

Nonprofits using Zeffy keep 100% of what they raise, and it is great to see that working for your organization.

"Zeffy Makes Campaigns Easy and Fee-Free for Our Foundation"
What do you like best about Zeffy?

The software is easy to use, and it’s simple to create campaigns. For our Kiwanis Literacy Club Foundation and Kiwanis Clubs, not having to pay fees helps our foundation save money and put more books into kids’ hands. We can create a quick campaign on the fly to accept donations for sponsoring books. We don’t sell books; instead, we find sponsors for them, and those sponsors get to hand the books out. So far, we’ve done over 500,000 books. We’ve tried Square, Zelle, Venmo, and PayPal, but Zeffy has been the best for us, and it’s the only one we use now. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Zeffy?

Only that I did not find it sooner!!! But really there is nothing they keep the interface the same and its easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Hubert Fanneau of Zeffy

Thank you for sharing this! Zeffy is nonprofit fundraising software with no platform fees and no transaction fees, built so foundations like yours can put every dollar directly into the mission. The ability to spin up campaigns quickly and accept donations on the fly is exactly what Zeffy is built for, and with zero fees across the board your Kiwanis Literacy Club Foundation keeps 100% of every dollar it raises. Two tools worth exploring as you deepen your Zeffy use: Zeffy's Memberships feature lets you manage tiered membership levels with automatic renewals and digital membership cards, which could be a great fit for managing Kiwanis Club members in one place alongside your fundraising. Zeffy also includes email newsletters built right into the platform, so you can send updates, appeals, and thank you notes to your donor list at no extra cost. Glad Zeffy is helping put more books into kids' hands.

"No fees, Easy to use, Easy to learn"
What do you like best about Zeffy?

Zeffy makes it easy to create the forms needed for donors to fill out and donate with a debit or credit card. Zeffy also has other forms one can create for auctions, stores, lotteries, and events. I have never used a platform like Zeffy and found it easy to learn. I like that it is easy to create and embed QR codes and form links into my organization's website and onto different flyers. The QR codes and links can be shared and will still work.

Zeffy automatically sends donations to your bank account and will send receipts to the donors for their taxes. At the end of the year, Zeffy will send donors a full list of their donations if they donated to different organizations through Zeffy. Makes it easier for taxes.

We have not been charged any fees to use Zeffy by Zeffy. Zeffy does ask each donor for a small donation to Zeffy to keep them from having to apply fees. This has been working for them.

Zeffy keeps all the information about your donors for you and it is there any time you need it. You can send thank you emails directly to your donors through Zeffy too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Zeffy?

There are not many downsides to Zeffy from my perspective. We needed something that would meet our needs and not cost us a lot of money because we are a non-profit and just starting out. Zeffy is a basic donation platform that is secure and easy to use for both the users and donors. There are not a lot of frills, bells and whistles that someone might be looking for. You can only make the donation forms look so good with the features allowed. And that is good for us. Our story is on the form. The needed information from the donors is on the form. There are not a lot of downsides. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Hubert Fanneau of Zeffy

Thank you Kim! Zeffy is a one-stop fundraising and donor management platform with zero platform fees, and it is great to hear that everything from donation forms and QR codes to automatic tax receipts and donor records is working well for your organization as you get started.

The year-end donation summaries you highlighted are sent automatically to donors who have given across multiple organizations through Zeffy, which saves your team from having to compile and send that information manually at tax time.

On the form design options, it is good to hear that the current approach works well for your mission-focused storytelling. Zeffy continues to add customization options and our product team ships improvements weekly.

As your organization grows, Zeffy's membership tools let you manage recurring supporter programs and renewals with automated receipts at 0% fee. And for any in-person fundraising moments, Zeffy's Tap to Pay turns any smartphone into a contactless card reader so you can collect donations on-site alongside the QR codes you are already using.

Glad Zeffy is working for you and your organization.

"Free, Simple, and Superb for Nonprofits"
What do you like best about Zeffy?

I use Zeffy for our non-profit community theater ticket sales, membership, and email. I love that Zeffy is free with no fees involved. It's simple to use, which makes managing our ticket sales so easy because we can see how many tickets have been sold instantaneously. The information provided is relevant, and the technology is superb. The initial setup of Zeffy was very simple and straightforward. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Zeffy?

The use of in-person credit cards isn't optimal. I think incorporating the tap feature on the app and making the app more conducive to in-person sales would improve it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Hubert Fanneau of Zeffy

Thank you John! Zeffy is built for this kind of complete nonprofit toolkit, combining ticketing, memberships, and email all in one platform at 0% fee so community theaters can run everything without switching between tools.

The instant ticket sales visibility and ease of setup you mentioned are core to Zeffy's design. Your theater can track sales as they come in, manage multiple ticket types and pricing tiers, and send automated confirmation emails with QR code tickets, all included at no cost.

One thing you might not have found yet: Zeffy's Tap to Pay lets you accept in-person card payments directly from a smartphone, no card reader or terminal required. It works with tap, chip, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. iOS is available now and Android 13+ support is launching later in 2026.

Two other Zeffy tools that work well for community theaters: Peer to peer fundraising lets cast members, volunteers, and patrons run their own fundraising pages linked to your main campaign. Auctions are a great fit for gala events, with live bidding, automatic winner payment collection, and no bidder account required.

Glad Zeffy is working for John and your community theater.

"Essential Tool for Nonprofits with No Fees"
What do you like best about Zeffy?

I love that I can create newsletters, stay connected with families, and also place tickets for families for our workshops. It's amazing how I don't have to deal with fees when I receive donations, which is great for our very small nonprofit. I'm able to share with families what's happening in our nonprofit on a monthly basis, including images of our work and impact, which helps us receive donations. When I place the link for our workshops, families can easily purchase tickets to attend events like dance classes for students with special needs. Zeffy allows me the best of both worlds—connecting with families and selling tickets for a charitable cause—while making them feel included in our impact. The setup was very easy, manageable, and accessible—I've loved it. It's a very great platform, free of fees, and it gives me the opportunity to be creative and share newsletters and the creative outcomes of the impactful work that we're doing. I would definitely recommend Zeffy to a friend or colleague. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Zeffy?

N/A Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Hubert Fanneau of Zeffy

Thank you Wil! Zeffy is a 100% free fundraising platform built for nonprofits exactly like yours, where newsletters, event ticketing, and donation forms all work together at zero platform fee so every dollar from your community stays with your mission.

The combination you described is what Zeffy is specifically built for. The email builder supports newsletters with images and campaign links built in, event ticketing handles multiple ticket types and QR code check in, and donation forms accept online giving with no fees deducted. Nonprofits using Zeffy keep 100% of what they raise.

Two Zeffy tools worth exploring for your next step: peer to peer fundraising lets your families and supporters create their own fundraising pages on your behalf, a natural extension of the community you already build through newsletters. And Zeffy's memberships let you formalize that ongoing relationship with recurring membership tiers and automatic renewal.

Glad Zeffy is working for Wil and your organization.
