## About Zeffy
Zeffy is a nonprofit fundraising platform where every dollar raised stays with the mission. Unlike most fundraising tools, which charge 5% or more per transaction, Zeffy covers all credit card processing fees and platform costs — funded instead by optional tips donors leave at checkout. Development directors, fundraising coordinators, treasurers, and executive directors rely on Zeffy to run their entire fundraising operation from one place, whether they lead a small community organization or a national charity with thousands of donors. The fee problem is real: on a $100,000 campaign, transaction fees alone can redirect $5,000 or more away from programs before a single dollar reaches the cause. Zeffy eliminates this loss entirely. Nonprofits pay no platform fee, no monthly subscription, and no hidden charge — every processing cost is absorbed so the full amount raised goes to the mission. From one dashboard, organizations can create donation forms, sell event tickets, run raffles, manage online auctions, launch peer-to-peer campaigns, handle memberships with automatic renewal, and operate an online shop. In-person fundraising is handled through a tap-to-pay mobile app that accepts payments on the spot. For donor communications, Zeffy includes a built-in email and newsletter platform as well as a postmail service that sends physical letters and postcards directly to donors. Giving history, contact records, and automated tax receipts for eligible organizations are managed through a built-in CRM, with real-time reporting across all fundraising types. Zeffy connects with the tools nonprofits already use. Donation forms and campaign pages embed directly into WordPress, Wix, Squarespace websites and more! Donors can give through Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, and Venmo alongside standard credit and debit cards. Teams that rely on Mailchimp, Constant Contact, or social outreach through Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp can continue using those channels alongside Zeffy. QuickBooks integration keeps financial records current without manual exports. More than 100,000 nonprofits — from Big Brothers Big Sisters chapters and local YMCAs to neighborhood food banks, faith communities, and grassroots advocacy groups — have raised over $2 billion through Zeffy, saving more than $100 million in fees that returned directly to programs. Organizations that switch to Zeffy typically eliminate platform fees on the first campaign — without changing how they fundraise.

## Zeffy Reviews
  ### 1. Update after over 2 years of using the Zeffy Platform.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** denise c. | Executive Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 01, 2024

**What do you like best about Zeffy?**

The issue is how difficult it is to see the donation for Zeffy and that it starts at 17 percent which makes people think that's just a standard fee. Other than that they continue to be 100% free and have a nice interface that is user friendly. There are many options for ticketing and services and even volunteers. They now have a nicer CRM and Have a Facebook group now for Zeffy users that can ask questions about how to do specific functions in the platform so you are not relying just on customer service.. they have a. Very nice CRM I have integrated Zeffy with Zapier but it wasn't easy or clear cut. The performance has been good so far and it has not failed to go through the payment process or volunteer sign up ever. IT is trying to incorporat AI, but I stay away from that kind of stuff on Zeffy, so I don't really use the AI/ intelligence feature it has.

**What do you dislike about Zeffy?**

So. The issue is that you can't just uncheck the donation for Zeffy and you have to go to a multiple choice box. Then hit custom, then manually type the number 0 (zero). But to the normal eye it looks like the price went from $25 to $30. (Their standard is 17%. I still think for a free donation platform it's good, but I've had to put extra work to make videos and write and tell people how to avoid the Zeffy contribution. Also I have no way of knowing unless I ask, if they paid it or saw my video or not. If they made it easier to understand that the Contribution is optional and start at a less percentage rate, that wouldn't make it look like your trying to hid the fee.

**What problems is Zeffy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a educational element of service and charge for certification. They make it easy to embed on your website and purchase while staying on page.

**Official Response from Hubert Fanneau:**

> Thank you, Denise! Over two years of use and the effort you have put into educating your donors through videos and guides says a lot about how seriously you take their experience. Zeffy is a 100% free fundraising platform for nonprofits, and that kind of proactive communication makes the platform work better for everyone in your community.

On the donation form side, a few things that may help: Zeffy includes a dedicated section explaining the tip before donors confirm payment, automated tax receipts go out immediately after each gift, and recurring giving is fully self-managed by donors with no extra setup on your end.

On the tip: thank you for this feedback. The suggested tip depends on the donation amount: 17% for smaller gifts, dropping to 7% for larger ones, and donors can edit it to any amount, including zero, before confirming. On average, what donors choose to tip ends up lower than the fixed fees most platforms charge nonprofits, which means more of every dollar goes to your mission. Beyond the dedicated section we include, a note in your form description in your own words can add more context for your specific audience.

Two Zeffy tools worth exploring. Zeffy's peer-to-peer fundraising lets your supporters create their own fundraising pages for your cause, which can multiply reach during major campaigns. Zeffy's Donor Mail lets you send personalized thank-you letters and appeals from the dashboard, with printing and mailing handled for you.

Really glad Zeffy is working for your organization.

  ### 2. Truly 100% free, highly functional platform, with a refreshingly responsive support team

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education

**Reviewed Date:** June 18, 2026

**What do you like best about Zeffy?**

First, I love that Zeffy is really truly 100% free. When our organization (the Christian Engineering Society) was seeking a new membership/ticketing platform, I researched about a dozen different options. Most of them had "free" versions...that would give you everything except the functionality we most needed. Zeffy, in contrast, gives us all features for free. I like their model of relying on user contributions.

Second, I appreciate that the development team is constantly responding to feature requests on the user discussion board. When I started using Zeffy about two years ago, I thought, "This seems like the best option, though I'm disappointed that X and Y features are missing..." I added my vote to several feature requests on the board (particularly regarding membership campaigns), and within a year, 80% of them had been implemented.

Third, I value the clean, intuitive interface! I was nervous about switching from our old platform and thought it would be a difficult "sell" to the rest of my team. As soon as they started using Zeffy, though, they began singing its praises even more enthusiastically than I had been.

**What do you dislike about Zeffy?**

There are a few features that could help enhance the platform...for example, a little more flexibility in how some of the fields are arranged in the membership campaign form, and some options around how discount codes work with recurring memberships. Given how many improvements the Zeffy team has already made since I started using it two years ago, though, I feel confident these will be implemented before too long.

**What problems is Zeffy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Zeffy has solved several problems we couldn't crack with our previous platform:
1) A truly free system that isn't draining our limited budget.
2) Being able to do event ticketing, membership, an online gift shop, and mailings all in one system.
3) An interface that our whole team finds easy to learn and adopt.

  ### 3. Zeffy is what community looks like!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management

**Reviewed Date:** June 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Zeffy?**

Zeffy makes donating very simple. It is also extremely easy to set up.  I love that you get all of your donations deposited into your account. Yes, it may take some time to get to you, but you get ALL of your donations, every penny. Zeffy understood the assignment! Zeffy is the birthday! (;

**What do you dislike about Zeffy?**

Honestly, I have nothing to complain about. We would love to stick around to see the upcoming improvements, and I am sure we will love them. Are we biased? Maybe, but I am sure that you would be too if you could get all of your donations deposited into you.

**What problems is Zeffy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Honestly, as a new organization, it costs to host events and to be sustainable. Zeffy is making sure that we get all of our donations. Zeffy, make sure the donors also know that all their donations are going to the causes they support.

  ### 4. Free and quick payment service

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** ALLDOER I.

**Reviewed Date:** June 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Zeffy?**

Zeffy has been an excellent fundraising platform for our nonprofit. The payment process is fast, simple, and easy for both our organization and our donors. What makes Zeffy stand out is that it is completely free for nonprofits, allowing us to keep more of every donation and direct those funds toward our mission instead of paying platform fees.

The donation forms are user-friendly, professional, and easy to set up. We have had a great experience using Zeffy and appreciate how it helps nonprofits maximize their impact while providing a seamless giving experience for supporters.

We highly recommend Zeffy to any nonprofit looking for a reliable, efficient, and cost-effective fundraising solution.

**What do you dislike about Zeffy?**

One area that could be improved is the payout schedule. Zeffy processes payouts on a weekly basis, so organizations that need immediate access to donated funds may prefer more flexible payout options, such as daily or on-demand transfers. However, the platform's no-fee model and ease of use still make it an excellent solution for nonprofits.

**What problems is Zeffy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Zeffy eliminates fundraising platform fees, allowing our nonprofit to keep 100% of donor contributions and direct more funds toward our programs and mission. It also simplifies online fundraising by providing easy-to-use donation forms, payment processing, event registration, and donor management tools in one platform.

This has benefited our organization by reducing administrative work, lowering costs, and making it easier for supporters to donate. As a result, we can focus more on serving our community and less on managing fundraising technology and expenses.

  ### 5. Simplicity, No Fees, and Great Support with Zeffy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kay C. | Sales Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Zeffy?**

I appreciate the simplicity and no fees with Zeffy. I really like that it offers a download in Excel format, which makes it easy to sort and change the data, and create necessary reports for registration at various checkpoints like the check-in desk and raffles. The initial setup was very easy for me, thanks to my banking background. However, for those without such experience, Zeffy's customer support is awesome and wonderful, answering every question effectively.

**What do you dislike about Zeffy?**

I've had some issues with using Zeffy for a couple of different campaigns, where each campaign has its own QR code. It's been a bit challenging explaining to the different members who are not technology-oriented that you can't just use a QR code over and over again. You have to use the specific QR code for the specific campaign. Maybe Zeffy could offer a master QR code, so that all the different campaigns can have the same QR code. From a programming point of view, I haven't figured out how to do that yet.

**What problems is Zeffy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Zeffy for simplified payment processing with easy setup. It automatically handles weekly transfers and exports registration data into Excel, aiding in report creation for the conference team.

**Official Response from Hubert Fanneau:**

> Thank you Kay! Zeffy is a 100% free fundraising platform for nonprofits, and the simplicity and zero fee model you described are core to what the team builds for, so organizations can focus on their mission rather than managing payment overhead.

The Excel export you mentioned is something a lot of event organizers rely on. Being able to pull registration data directly into a spreadsheet and sort it by checkpoint, raffle, or check in desk is a real time saver on event day.

On the QR code question: Zeffy's Organization Page might be what you are looking for. It is a single shareable link that aggregates all your active campaigns in one place. You can generate one QR code for that page and it covers every campaign at once, so attendees can choose from a list rather than needing a code specific to each event.

Zeffy's peer to peer fundraising tools let supporters create their own fundraising pages linked to your organization, which can extend reach ahead of a conference or annual campaign. Zeffy also has a donor management and CRM built in, where every transaction automatically creates a contact record, useful for the conference team when tracking registration history across years.

Glad Zeffy is working for Kay and your team.

  ### 6. Saving Money While Simplifying Fundraising

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Natalie Smith G.

**Reviewed Date:** June 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Zeffy?**

What I like most about Zeffy is that it allows our nonprofit to keep more of the money we raise. The 100% free model means donations and registration fees go toward our mission rather than platform fees. Beyond the cost savings, Zeffy is easy to use for both administrators and supporters. We use it for choir registrations, summer program enrollment, fundraising campaigns, and event ticketing, and it has been reliable and straightforward across all of those needs. I also appreciate that the platform is clearly designed with nonprofits in mind, offering features that many organizations would otherwise have to pay extra to access.

**What do you dislike about Zeffy?**

No downsides so far. I'll be glad when text-to-give goes live!

**What problems is Zeffy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Zeffy solves two major challenges for our organization: fundraising costs and administrative efficiency. As a nonprofit, every dollar matters, and Zeffy's fee-free model allows us to retain significantly more revenue from donations, registrations, and event sales than we would with many other platforms.

It also helps streamline our operations by giving us a single place to manage donor campaigns, choir registrations, summer program enrollment, and event ticketing. Instead of juggling multiple systems or manually tracking information, we can manage these activities more efficiently and provide a smoother experience for families and supporters. The result is more time spent advancing our mission and less time spent on administrative tasks.

**Official Response from Hubert Fanneau:**

> Thank you for the wonderful review! Zeffy is an all-inclusive fundraising platform with 0% platform fees, so your choir registrations, summer enrollment, campaigns, and event ticketing all run from one place and your organization keeps more of every dollar for the mission. We are so glad it has simplified both the fundraising and the administrative side for you.

On text to give, you are reading our minds, and that is great feedback to have on record. Our product team ships improvements weekly and everything we hear from organizations like yours feeds directly into the roadmap.

Two features that might fit a performing arts group nicely: memberships let you manage recurring supporters or season subscribers with automatic renewals and membership cards handled for you. Peer to peer fundraising is also worth exploring, letting choir families and supporters create their own pages under a campaign and share them widely, which can really expand your reach.

Glad Zeffy is working for you and your organization.

  ### 7. A blessing to all nonprofits, especially startups.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Undefinable A.

**Reviewed Date:** May 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Zeffy?**

What I like best about Zeffy is the wonderful benefit of receiving the full contribution amount without fees being taken out, which is especially meaningful for organizations and communities that rely on the generosity of those who may already be stretching to share what they can.

We host many weekly events, and Zeffy’s scheduler has been incredibly helpful. I especially appreciate that contributions can be made optional when people RSVP for an event. That makes it easier to welcome everyone while still giving people a simple way to support the work if they feel called to.

The pages are also becoming more beautiful and engaging, especially with the new animations. Overall, Zeffy has been very helpful, practical, and generous in spirit.

**What do you dislike about Zeffy?**

The main thing I dislike, or at least find most difficult, is the event reminder email system. The reminder emails can appear in a strange format or size, which sometimes makes the text look very small and harder to read.

I also wish there were more flexible reminder options, such as being able to send reminders more often, including the day of the event or a couple of hours before it begins. Since emails are often missed or overlooked these days, it would also be very helpful to have integrations with tools like Zapier or Make, so reminders could also be sent by text message or through other communication systems.

Overall, Zeffy is very helpful, but stronger reminder options and better formatting for event emails would make the event features much more effective.

**What problems is Zeffy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Zeffy is helping us solve the challenge of hosting events while also receiving financial support in a natural and accessible way. Instead of simply offering events and hoping people remember to donate separately, Zeffy allows us to connect event registration with optional contributions in one simple process.

This has been a great benefit because it allows us to welcome people to our weekly events while also giving them an easy opportunity to support the work if they are able. It helps reduce the awkwardness of asking for financial aid separately and makes the process feel more generous, open, and community-centered.

I also know Zeffy offers many other tools and features, and I hope to continue using it to solve even more needs for our organization as we grow.

**Official Response from Hubert Fanneau:**

> Thank you for this heartfelt review! Zeffy is a zero fee fundraising platform built for nonprofits, and we are glad it is giving your community a practical, generous way to keep every contribution going directly to the work that matters. The optional contribution on event RSVPs is a feature we are especially proud of, and it is great to hear it is helping you make events accessible while still welcoming support from those who want to give. On the email reminders: your feedback on formatting and timing flexibility is exactly the kind of detail that shapes what we build next, and we have passed it along to the product team. For multi channel reminders like text messages, Zeffy's Zapier integration connects to thousands of apps including SMS tools, which can complement the built in email reminders in the meantime. If your organization has recurring members or supporters, Zeffy's membership tool handles multiple tiers, automatic renewals, and digital membership cards at no fee. Zeffy's Donor Mail feature is also worth a look for sending personalized thank you letters and fundraising appeals directly from your dashboard, with printing and mailing handled for you. Glad Zeffy is working for you and your organization.

  ### 8. Excellent Platform for Event Registration and Merchandise Sales

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mel C.

**Reviewed Date:** May 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Zeffy?**

What we like best about Zeffy is that it allows our fundraising event to keep 100% of the money we collect, without credit card processing fees being taken out. For the Dog Days Wine Tour, which is our annual Silver Wheels Cycling Club fundraiser, that makes a big difference.

We also appreciate that Zeffy gives participants the choice to support the platform through an optional donation, while still keeping the checkout process simple and easy. Riders can register and purchase merchandise using credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or even pay by check.

This is our first year using Zeffy, and since launching on March 1st, we’ve already registered over 220 riders with no issues. The platform has been reliable, easy to use, and a great fit for our event.

**What do you dislike about Zeffy?**

The only thing I would suggest improving is the ability to schedule automatic price changes for tiered pricing.

For our event, we offer monthly pricing tiers that gradually increase as the event gets closer. Zeffy does allow us to schedule when a price ends, which is helpful, but it does not currently allow us to schedule the next pricing tier to start automatically. Because of that, we keep a reminder and manually add the new tier the night of the price change.

It’s not a major issue, and it has not affected our overall experience, but adding automatic scheduled price changes would make an already great platform even better.

**What problems is Zeffy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Zeffy is solving one of the biggest challenges for our annual fundraiser: keeping more of the money we raise.

Before using Zeffy, credit card processing fees were always a concern because every fee taken out reduced the amount that stayed with our organization. Since the Dog Days Wine Tour is the annual fundraiser for the Silver Wheels Cycling Club, every dollar matters. Zeffy allows us to collect registration fees and merchandise sales without processing fees being taken out, which directly benefits our club and the event.

It also gives our riders and supporters an easy way to pay. They can register and purchase merchandise using a credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or by check. That flexibility makes the process easier for participants and easier for us to manage.

Zeffy is also helping us run both rider registration and merchandise sales in one place. Since launching our campaign on March 1st, we have already registered over 220 riders with no issues. That reliability has given us confidence, especially since this is our first year using the platform.

Overall, Zeffy is helping us reduce costs, simplify registration, make payments easier for riders, and keep more of the funds raised for our cycling club.

**Official Response from Hubert Fanneau:**

> Thank you for this detailed review! Zeffy is a one stop fundraising and donor management platform with zero platform fees, and hearing that the Dog Days Wine Tour has already registered over 220 riders with no issues in your first season is a fantastic milestone to be part of. The combination of credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and check support in a single checkout makes a real difference for rider conversion, and keeping 100% of registrations and merchandise sales going to Silver Wheels Cycling Club is exactly how Zeffy is designed to work. On scheduled tiered pricing: this is exactly the kind of experience-based feedback that shapes what we build next. The request for fully automated tier transitions is one we hear from event organizers running phased registration, and it is on our radar. For day-of event payments, Zeffy's Tap to Pay lets your team collect in person payments via smartphone with no card reader or terminal needed. Zeffy's peer to peer fundraising is also worth exploring if you want riders to create their own fundraising pages leading up to the event, complete with leaderboards and automated reminders. Glad Zeffy is working for you and your organization.

  ### 9. Easy to use donation and newsletter platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management

**Reviewed Date:** June 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Zeffy?**

Setup/integrations initially are very easy to do. Having the possibility to drive donations to a free platform that doesn't take huge junks of fees is vital for us as a small non-profit. Building and sending newsletter emails is also really straightforward and has helped us simplify management of DLs.

**What do you dislike about Zeffy?**

For newsletter design, it would be good to get guidance on when length becomes an issue (indicator as to when an email might get cut off before you get there, not after). Lists aren't really that straightforward to work with

**What problems is Zeffy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Already explained, but newsletter creation is now really straightforward, so reaching our community is much easier now than it used to be. And more importantly, using zeffy as our go-to donation platform has saved us as small nonprofit a lot of money in fees, which is huge for us.

  ### 10. Excellent platform for fundraising, events, and more!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Family Resource C.

**Reviewed Date:** June 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Zeffy?**

Zeffy is extremely easy to set-up and to use. This platform makes it easy to start or revive prior campaigns, engage your donors, cultivate information and data for stakeholders, and get help when you need it by their awesome customer service team.

**What do you dislike about Zeffy?**

I have yet to find one thing to complain about.

**What problems is Zeffy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Zeffy allowed us to digitize our fundraising and donations. Prior people were only able to donate using cash or check, and it added barriers to people who wanted to make an electronic donation. We are also better able to manage our donors and communicate with them. We have run just one event off the platform but it went pretty smooth. I like all the options and the ability to manipulate it to fit our needs. We are part of a school but collect a lot of donations for various initiatives throughout the year.

**Official Response from Hubert Fanneau:**

> Thank you so much for this thoughtful review! Zeffy is a 100% free fundraising platform for nonprofits, so digitizing your fundraising comes at zero cost and your school keeps every dollar raised across all those initiatives. We are thrilled the setup was easy and that our support team has been there when you needed them.

It means a lot to hear you have not found anything to complain about, and we will keep working to keep it that way. Since you are collecting for various initiatives throughout the year, two features might help you do even more. Peer to peer fundraising lets students, families, and volunteers create their own pages under a campaign and rally their networks, which works beautifully for school communities. Raffles are also a simple, fun way to add a revenue stream to an event, with ticket bundles and prize tiers built right in.

Glad Zeffy is working for you and your organization.
