This platform may seem complex at first, but after understanding and gaining familiarity, it becomes second nature. Through the journey of understanding the platform, they provide a lot of helpful guidance along the way.

As someone new to ABM, I appreciate how easy it has been to use Rollworks, learn from the data, make changes, and continue to improve. I think their customer service is top-notch. I appreciate having a dedicated person to check in with regularly, give feedback on how to work smarter, and get valuable insights.

There are a few reports that I struggled to find, but now that I've stumbled through them a few times, I've remembered where to click.

Finding and obtaining new clients that fit our ICP. We've gained valuable insight into what our ideal customers are looking for, we're getting more leads, and feel more confident in our ability to close deals this year.

1- It automates the process of placing ads
2- allows you to control the budget spending
3- integrates with hubspot and salesforce and allows market segmentation through them (or creating the lists inside Rollworks but you don't want to do that)
4- Gives a simple adequate Ads building tool

**What do you dislike about AdRoll ABM (Formerly RollWorks)?**

1- You cannot target specific people; you need to target a whole company domain  (this could be multiple times more expensive)
2- You may need an external ad-building tool to have more sophisticated ads 
3- The future of the product is not declared, as, in 2024, the whole market is changing with regulations about cookies.
4- Excluding Google and making Linkedin outside the main package, you lose a lot of business-related ads channels or you would have to add budget for those

We like the onboarding program, the intent-based data (so helpful), and how easy it is to get everything into the system. Great interface.

Reporting seems off at times and doesn't quite jive with the other analytics platforms we use (Hubspot, G4). Would love a more in-depth list of WHERE the ads get served.

It helps us do a lot of things out of one platform. You can get overwhelmed with marketing tech these days, this one combines many things into one platform. And, the CSMs we have had are very helpful and they don't just push you to blog articles when you need help.

The perfect tool for managing all the campaigns, most amazingly. All the features available in this platform are handy and helps you complete all your work and task on time and more accurately. Integration is compatible and allows the users easily collaborate and import data from any salesforce or CRM platform. The setup procedure of this software on the system is so easy.

The integration process makes the workflow speed slower than before. The tools for documentation are not working and responding perfectly. It has been experienced that while working on advertisements, the software does not support to information or data in bulk.

With this software, we can unify and gather information and marketing data from other websites and shortlist and purify for our company's better advertisement. Please help us increase our customer engagement and improve communication with our customers. The integration into our CRM is very instrumental in allowing us to create very targeted campaigns to dynamic client lists. It also allows us to engage with our accounts as they move through the funnel with different messaging. Their development team has been very eager to develop the platform in meaningful ways.

**What do you dislike about AdRoll ABM (Formerly RollWorks)?**

With the set up of our sales team we are unable to use some of the benefits of the platform. It would be awesome if some day they could roll our a system that allows for our structure to benefit from all their product offerings. Some of the reporting does not work well for marketing team insights, however the team has been very receptive on finding ways to build out their platform to make things work.

The platform helps us to create campaigns with mutli-level messaging to engage with our top accounts as they move through journey stages of engagement. It also allows us to see the layers of engagement for each client.

This is a great platform to use if you want to get into ABM but don't have the budget or resources to hire an outbound SDR or ABM company.  It has much more data and segmentation than Zoom Info and Lusha and you can build audiences very easily and find the key stakeholders.  I like that I can then set the strategy and content and roll out as I need or want to.

The targeting is strong but when you start buying some of the media/display advertising it isn't as good as being site specific.  I cannot prove it but I feel like this leads to waste in the spend and time since we may be advertising on sites or areas that are not a good fit or have really small display specs.

As marketing budgets get smaller we need every dollar to work harder for us.  We needed to break into ABM marketing so that we could be more targeted and drive higher conversion rates then we are getting from our generic full funnel campaign running on the normal channels.   By being more targeted we hope to close our budget gap.

Targeting Capabilities: RollWorks offers advanced targeting capabilities that enable our business to reach our desired audience. Able to target our campaigns based on factors such as location, demographics, device, interests, behaviors, etc. 

Advanced Analytics: RollWorks provides has a robust analytics dashboard that offers insights into the performance of our campaigns. This includes all the basics (impressions, clicks, conversions, and return on ad spend), and it can all be easily exported to help optimize campaigns and measure success

Cross-device Capabilities: RollWorks supports cross-device advertising, meaning that businesses can reach their target audience across multiple devices, including desktops, mobile phones, and tablets. This is especially useful for businesses targeting mobile-first audiences, as it allows them to reach their audience wherever they are.

Custom Audiences: Can create targeting cohorts based on website visitors, email subscribers, and customer lists

Most of all, and unlike some other platforms, the experience is user-friendly with an intuitive interface.

While the platform is user-friendly, it still requires a certain level of technical expertise and knowledge to use effectively.

RollWorks also offers limited control over the creative aspects of advertising campaigns, such as ad format and design, so you need to play within the creative confines of available formats.

Rollworks is another tool in our advertising toolbox to drive cost-effective ad impressions and get in front of our audience to reinforce our brand. It's a nice compliment to some of the other platforms we are using.

- Setting up new programs is super simple - from building your audiences (who to target and who to exclude, to setting up all the elements - copy, creative and tracking links
- How quickly the campaigns get approved is also amazing.

There is not a lot I don't like.   I did once try to use their service to create ads and while it is amazing they offer that in such a simple way, the ads were not wonderful and we ended up not using them.

The primarily use case for us was remarketing.  The integration with our website to include or exclude audiences was not much simpler than working with Google.

Rollworks allows us to see where our target audiences are in their journey stages and actively serve them content that meets them where they are and helps move them along in the funnel.

There are some restrictions in the system, such as having a minimum number (100) to complete contact targeting. I would also like more control over the ads- such as archive instead of delete.

Rollworks is allowing us to monitor our existing client base in terms of intent and web activity as well as helping us identify markets and accounts through spike reports that we may not have had visibility into before.

Rollworks has all the features we have been looking for. It is user-friendly, helps generate sales opportunities and allows us to connect with new Accounts to expand our pipeline.

I have not run into a problem with Rollworks yet. It is better than the ABM tool we had used in the past. So far, it has everything we need.

We need help understanding our target accounts. It has been a guessing game up until now. Rollworks gives us insight into our Accounts so our sales team can focus their day targeting the right contacts. The best part is that they can see everything right in Salesforce.

RollWorks provides a user-friendly experience for marketers to be able to control their display advertising campaigns. They're constantly rolling out new features and benefits to further enhance the reporting, usage, and overall capabilities of the tool and campaigns. The team at Rollworks is also a huge help to address any questions and provide strategic recommendations.

The nomenclature of how RollWorks groups the management of campaigns can be confusing if you're new to ad platforms. They've changed it recently and if you're not in it daily, it can be confusing on where to go to manage certain aspects of your campaigns.

We implemented RollWorks to get our client's brand in front a specific segment of target accounts. Since then, RollWorks has rolled out additional features that allow us to expand our display advertising strategy to now be able to reach accounts based on intent signals and demographic criteria as well.

What I like the most about RollWorks is that it has an easy/user-friendly platform that is easy to understand. Upleading the Ads and having them approved is super easy.

At this moment I don't have any specific thing that I don't like. I will only say that the process to have a contact list imported could take less time. To have a list ready to use can take up to 72 hours.

I love the audience targeting capabilities, which are specific and easy to do.  The team gives excellent guidance about optimizing our spend (and who doesn't need to do that??!!) and making the most impact on our bottom line.  I appreciate the intent data and have given access to Rollworks analytics to our sales team, who have successfully reached out to companies that are showing intent.

I can't think of anything I don't like.  The product stays current and the team is easy to work with.  I also like that RollWorks is so popular that it is easy to find people to work within the platform.

RollWorks is helping us create sales pipeline that closes.    We can test what messages and content perform best and double down on those messages and content in other ways.  Bottom line comes down to sourcing and influencing sales.

Rollworks is by far the most user-friendly yet advanced ABM advertising platform. It makes it so easy to target accounts & contact lists with significant efficiency. I love the analytics and reports that Rollworks gives you based on all campaigns and how accounts are engaging. The n digging deeper into account insights to see the customer journey, their intent data, and other contributing engagement metrics that could help us more easily identify the account we need to target. Their new Linkedin sync feature is incredible and has helped us decrease of CPL by 25x. It's a phenomenal platform and would highly recommend it to anyone!

**What do you dislike about AdRoll ABM (Formerly RollWorks)?**

I would love it if they showed analytics on the Linkedin campaigns from the synced audiences. Also, would be great if the account scoring model was points based for different engagement metrics and could be set at a very custom level. But other than that everything else is great!

Centralizing all our retargeting in one platform. Helping our SDRs identify engaged accounts. Running air coverage for ABM campaigns. Building out contact list targeting campaigns etc. So many problems were solved!

We like to use RollWorks to get in front of a targeted audience. I find it helpful to use when we have a new sales rep come on board and warm their new contacts up to our company.

I feel like they make reporting more difficult than it needs to be. It is also quite expensive. I am seeing our CPM for display ads cost 2-3 times what the industry benchmark is.

It helps us raise awareness of our company to our prospects. Our sales reps like having the prospects aware of who we are before they pick up the phone and call them.

Loading pages can sometimes be slow (maybe due to all the data they are crunching?). More third-party integrations would also be helpful as we sometimes have to do manual exports and imports.

Adding RollWorks to our Marketing tech stack improved the effectiveness of our marketing team and presented a great opportunity for team members to work with a modern, AI-based tool.
Its bidirectional sync with Salesforce has reduced time to action by speeding up the workflows and reducing manual steps to upload and update data related to target accounts. Using this data, our SEO experts can directly target known and unknown contacts with digital ads.

Building reports on account-level engagement is a challenge. We usually had to download data from the platform and work with the data from .csv exports to create reports.

Integrating other third-party applications and collaborating data, and importing/uploading these data to this platform is easy. The platform can be used in multiple software and linked to various devices; you can assign it to your team members. Managing account details and generating reports is more comprehensive and valuable.

The workflow and the processing are not easier to track on this platform. It sometimes takes longer than usual to import or upload information from other software like CRM and marketing tools.

It often will misidentify traffic. I also feel like a lot of the analytics are inflated. It will report spiking accounts, but it's not leading to conversions.

Previously I would have said everything, from onboarding to support, working with Rollworks years ago felt like having another team member. Everything was thoroughly explained and planned out.

Nothing is the same. Onboarding was non-existent. When it was time to launch, we were suddenly unable to do anything we'd previously discussed during the sales cycle and onboarding. From there, problem after problem began to arise- from being unable to conduct the basic testing we wanted, to being unable to isolate and serve ads to our core personas, we had so many unresolved issues that never got fixed. We never generated a single lead. But- that's also hard to say since they also were never able to figure out basic conversion tracking for us.

We were trying to run a very basic account-based advertising strategy. Nothing complex. The UX is intuitive & straightforward compared to a lot of other AMB Display tools. The integrations with our CRM & other ad platforms (ex/ LinkedIn) have allowed us to build-out Audience Lists for use across all of our paid channels, not just Display. Lastly, our CSM team is extremely proactive & helpful, coming to each discussion with good analysis, recommendations, and best practices for all of our display initiatives!

There is not much to dislike. RollWorks offers many tools for sales enablement & account monitoring, but our team is not yet at a place where we can utilize them. Support has been great from the initial stages of vetting the product, all the way through where we are at now, 2 months after our playbooks went live. We've been passed from team to team as we've moved through the setup phases and I'd say it's gone pretty seamlessly. There has been a lot for us to learn, but they take intentional steps to ensure that we feel comfortable with the tool and have all the resources we need. I like that they have tailored our playbooks to fit our level of experience and our goals - so really anyone from beginner level to expert level could use the product.

Lastly, I just attended a product update webinar and RollWorks has some major updates and integrations on the horizon, so I like that they are evolving and improving consistently.

We haven't seen great engagement rates with our ads yet, but we just launched our first round, and the customer success team has been very good at bringing this to our attention rather than hiding being other success metrics. The salesforce integration is key  - giving the ability to sync over high intent users either dynamically or via a list upload. This really helps us develop stronger, more effective ABM strategies. Another huge, perhaps main, upside is the the account representatives, specifically a senior strategic customer success manager that is on our account. She is well versed on our account, our strategy, our targets and is so thorough and detail oriented, and never lets anything slip through the cracks, which can be very easy given how large our program is. All of which makes a HUGE difference in what we do and how well we are able to do it. I love the ability to target advertising to specific roles, at specific accounts, that show specific intent. I also love the ability to target ads based on journey stage. Our target audience is US hospitals with a few additional parameters, so our account targets are very precise. An ABM platform is the best way for us to reach that audience. I’ve onboarded RollWorks twice, and the onboarding teams have both been great at getting us up and running. The integration with HubSpot is fantastic – I have HubSpot set up in a way that allows my sales team to identify their target accounts and have control over who gets our ads. We’re also sync RollWorks intent data with HubSpot to help us qualify our leads.

**What do you dislike about AdRoll ABM (Formerly RollWorks)?**

For us, RollWorks has absolutely failed to deliver leads. Of all of the platforms we use for lead generation, Rollworks is in last place. In 8 months, RollWorks hasn’t generated a single download of a piece of content from our website (we’re only asking for an email in return.) There is no evidence that ads have contributed to a lead becoming an SQL, or to an SQL converting to an Opportunity. I’ve used the intent data alone to tip off the sales team to potential opportunities within specific accounts, and that’s never resulted in any kind of conversation either.

I have a dedicated resource that spends 40 hours a month managing our RollWorks programs. We’ve built campaigns at every stage of the funnel, for multiple products, and have tested targeting ads both with and without intent. It’s conservative to say we’ve tested a broad range of ads, messages and types of campaigns.

The last frustration is that their reporting can be wonky, and when you really pin down Rollworks for details, they can’t explain the discrepancies. One example is that in a playbook, there may be twice as many Accounts Reached as Accounts Targeted. Who are we reaching, then, if they’re not part of our Targets? We’ve been waiting for an answer to that question for 10 weeks. Another example is that an account will appear as ‘not targeted’ in a trending account report, but show that it’s included in a specific account targeting playbook. Between the absence of leads and the inconsistencies in reporting, I’ve lost faith that our ads are even being seen by our targets.

We've had good results so far from integrating HubSpot with rollworks, syncing intent data and spikes, and creating multi-touch campaigns based on those spiking accounts. The ability to sync lists directly from HubSpot, and to reference values when building out target lists, has been fantastic. We also have Rollworks integrated with G2, so the intent data from G2 contributes to spiking account notifications, and is available to the team from the normal widget window inside of the linked accounts. The campaign management section is one that we haven't fully built to the point we want it, but the tools there to progress contacts and companies through different levels of engagment are great for providing air cover to sales teams, and to differentiate display retargeting messaging based on the lists themselves (and what segment the contacts may be in based on their list membership.

The biggest thing for us is limited sales insights seats. More are available with a paid subscription, but spending additional budget isn't an option there, or the additional spend would be better placed in expanding ad campaigns to our audiences.

Rollworks is more intelligently surfacing contacts and companies that have an interest in our market, but may not know about us specifically. It's giving us the ability to more intelligently focus our messaging on the different market segments and the use cases that apply to them.

Rollworks is one of the most powerful tools we have in our stack for paid ABM campaigns. From a marketing operations perspective, the native integrations with Marketo and Salesforce (to name just a couple) are tremendously valuable and save us a lot of hassle.

**What do you like best about AdRoll ABM (Formerly RollWorks)?**

What I find most helpful about RollWorks is the direct connection to our CRM (in this case Salesforce) providing us with real-time campaign creation against strategic named accounts (ABM). This replaced a cumbersome and inefficient system of relying on an outside media agency to book media buys and build targeted campaigns that were not connected to our prospect data.

**What do you dislike about AdRoll ABM (Formerly RollWorks)?**

So far no major downsides to RollWorks. We've been live on the system for a little over a month as of this writing. The only improvement I'd like to see soon is adding additional advertising channels to the platform including Reddit, TikTok, etc.

**What problems is AdRoll ABM (Formerly RollWorks) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The primary business problem RollWorks helps us solve is marketing performance management for paid digital. With RollWorks, we're able to tell if we're spending efficiently and connecting with our strategic accounts. Not only for the marketing department visibility but our sales directors, using RollWorks Insights in Salesforce, see their account contacts engaging with our media buys and creating opportunities for sales engagement. This builds tremendous credibility for marketing effectiveness.

We leverage the Rollworks platform to target our Named Accounts, layering on intent to identify in-market Accounts. It's an easy to use tool with growing functionality. The Account Management team is exceptional, they are extremely knowledgeable and are proactive in helping us maximize the use of the platform to achieve our goals.

Ideally Rollworks would continue to expand the integrations available with the platform.

We were looking to improve our opp-to-close conversion rate which led us to focus on target accounts showing signals of being in market for a SMP.

**What do you like best about AdRoll ABM (Formerly RollWorks)?**

Rollworks is an easy-to-use platform to get started on Account-Based Marketing. They have the basics you need in an ABM strategy. Key integrations with Salesforce CRM and Marketo to execute different trigger events. The integrations are easy to setup and it helps to create different fields and values for reporting in Salesforce once integration is done. Navigating the RollWorks platform is easy and makes sense. They have a good Account Journey mapping feature and able to deanonymize website traffic. We were also able to access new attribution reporting tools and Rollworks recently rolled out their own intent data analytics which is a nice feature that uses 1st party data and intelligence Rollworks is able to gather from different data sources.

**What do you dislike about AdRoll ABM (Formerly RollWorks)?**

Rollworks relies heavily on integration to Salesforce and Marketo to trigger or orchestrate cross funnel Account Based Marketing plays. There's no native functionality within Rollworks to build out a workflow to orchestrate ABM plays that other ABM platforms offer. Any orchestration of ABM plays relies on the integration to Salesforce and updating fields or rules in Saleforce to trigger a direct mail, or sales follow-up in Salesforce. I'd like to have some sort of native orchestration to build complex campaigns that include all digital channels and engagement natively on the platform.

**Recommendations to others considering AdRoll ABM (Formerly RollWorks):**

Rollworks is a good stepping stone to dip your toes in Account-Based Platforms. If you're a big organization I'd expand your vendor review but the other platforms are more expensive. Rollworks is an affordable option to do the basics of ABM.

**What problems is AdRoll ABM (Formerly RollWorks) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Account Based Marketing engagement and Account Mapping. We wanted to get more intelligent in how we target our accounts. Using intent data to go after the right accounts through 3rd party and first-party data. Being able to take these account lists and send them to different digital channels to advertise to. Our team also needed a way to look at the full account journey to see all the touch points an account makes to convert to an opportunity to figure out ways to replicate this.

The ad creator is very simple for us to use. The CSM team is always very helpful when onboarding or suggesting best practices on how to leverage the platform.

We love Rollworks to help with getting engagement reports, intent and how our TAs move throughout their journey. It easily allows us to quickly launch any media campaigns to help open the door to our target accounts.

Documentation can sometimes be out of date or a bit misleading. Sometimes there are long turnaround times in getting specific configuration questions answered or help with troubleshooting

It provides a platform for ABM and functions as a DSP for our digital ads as well - everything is in one place, and it integrates with Salesforce. It provides intent data and a campaign framework for us that is esential for our ABM strategy

Putting up our ads and sending them to relevant audience members on appropriate platforms (Facebook, Google, Instagram, LinkedIn). Our ability to easily throw up a couple campaigns now takes a couple minutes compared to hours when using our last platform.
