What do you like best?

Since converting to a "curbside check-in" model due to COVID, the ability to send text messages to communicate with our patients has been invaluable. We also LOVE the paperless patient forms and the constant updates that Modento rolls out EVERY MONTH! With the help of Modento, we have been able to implement new systems to streamline our patient flow from check-in, to treatment planning, to check-out. We love the text to pay feature as well which has helped minimize the amount of statements that need to be printed and mailed out, thus actually SAVING us time and money. Their tech support is also the best we've dealt with over the number of practice management software systems we have used over the years. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

The T-Mobile issue is a big one. If that could get fixed somehow, that would be super helpful. It would also be helpful to be able to select which cell number to text without having to change the guarantor within our PM software. Being a pediatric practice, it's not uncommon for a different parent to bring the child in so it would be nice to have the option to select which phone number we are sending links for paperwork, consents, etc. to. Recommendations to others considering the product:

Be open to the differences between Modento and other patient communications platforms. Modento is extremely user friendly (even my completely "non-techie" employees can use it) and the support is phenomenal. Don't be afraid to use it! What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We have solved the issue of going paperless and finding a system that works for our busy pediatric dental practice. We have switched our merchant services accounts as well since trying out and loving the APEX text to pay feature and the automatic integration into our PMS is so much more efficient. With all of the new restrictions due to COVID, Modento has been so helpful with patient flow. What do you like best?

My patients love they can text and communicate through the platform, and love the ease in which they receive intake forms, and treatment plans. Patients also love the check in features, and a buzz is beginning with my loyalty rewards program! My staff also loves being paperless! My staff is very excited with the new live ops feature, and can’t wait for the online scheduling. Did I mention, the modento team is awesome!? What do you like best?

Being able to instantly communicate with patients (text), the ability to send paperwork, tx estimates, bulk emails through our Modento portal Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

Inability to send a tx estimated and a consent for tx together. Also getting spam messages that can't seem to get rid of Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

I have used several other patient communication systems in the past and none of them came close to having the capability to do what Modento has been able to do for our practice! The way we are able to communicate with our patients has reduced our appointment no shows and cancelations substantially. The email templates, consents, treatment estimate layout, etc... are all professionally written and laid out in a way that the patient can understand. You can also edit any of the templates to customize them more for your practice, in addition to editing any verbiage for automat appointment reminders/messages. What do you like best?

I like everything about Modento. The easy of use, the setup, the customer support and the overall product itself. We are a pediatric dental office and we use it for our forms, scheduling, sending paperwork, checking people in, reviews, reminders etc. I love that it is completely automated, my staff just makes an appointment in the dental software we use and the complete patient experience from that point on is on autopilot. The patients get the paperwork, they get reminders if they dont do the paperwork ahead of time, they get reminders about their appointment time and they get a review link after. It has definitely helped boost our patient attendance rate, reduce our cancellations and helped us get a lot of stellar reviews. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

There is nothing I dislike thus far, in products like these customer service is what is lacking but the counterfactual is true for Modento, they have phenomenal support. What do you like best?

Modento is what every front office person hopes for! If you are busy office or a small office.....this will be your best friend. We have tried other services and nothing has compared to the customer service you get with Modento! Almost all of our paper work is finished prior to the patient arriving for the appointment including consents. Less chair time is taken up and appointments stay on schedule when things are completed ahead of time. It automatically sends paperwork to the patients so that is helpful and not one more thing to think of in your day. I love that we can send billing statements electronically, reducing paper and stamps! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

Our current system is Dentrix and not all of Modento's features are linked with Dentrix. So we are not getting the full impact of what Modento could do for our practice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

The covid prescreening being automated is a huge help!! All forms get saved into the smart doc which is super convenient. Most new patients have all their paperwork completed prior to stepping into the office which makes the whole appointment run smoothly! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

One of the great things about Modento is that any device with an internet connection can be turned into a Modento Kiosk for filling paperwork – if you want to send forms to your own computer to help less tech-savvy patients, you can easily designate a tab in your browser as a "kiosk" to receive forms. What do you like best?

I would rather not have to click "post to ledger" for each individual payment received; something like a "select all payments" button would be helpful for End-Of-Day collection submissions and reviews. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

While we don't update every individual field when someone fills out a medical history, we do save a PDF copy directly to the patient's chart and can trigger medical alerts for anything that you've flagged as an allergy, condition, or medication – if you don't already have those alerts set up and would find them helpful, our support team would be happy to take care of that for you :) I'm glad to hear that the forms have been helpful overall though and that patients are completing them before arriving for their appointment!

I'm sorry to hear that you aren't totally satisfied with the medical history, though. If you're referring to the medical history pre-populating with patients' previous answers so that they can quickly review and only denote changes when it's time to update paperwork, we do have that functionality – I would encourage you to reach out to support to make sure those options are turned on for any forms that you want to pre-fill :)
