Cuts down the cost of paper supplies and printer ink significantly. **What do you dislike about Updox?** There have been several technical issues with Updox over the last year which affect our patients being able to fill out forms online and we utilize Updox for faxing, both incoming and outgoing. This delays patient care. **What problems is Updox solving and how is that benefiting you?** By creating all of our patient forms on Updox, we are speeding up the check in process. We are definitely more efficient in our processes. ### 2. Updox is expensive for what it is, essentially a TXT messaging and secure fax tool, and it still requires a ton of manual work and manipulation. There is not a lot to like about this tool. Maybe it saves a bit of time when compared to having a separate TXT messaging tool and secure fax but you pay a very high price for very little time saved. **What do you dislike about Updox?** It still requires a ton of manual work and manipulation. So the integration is not great. It relies on a push/pull principles where you have to manually map and route every single item that comes in the queue and then pull the item from the EHR. VERY TIME CONSUMING. There are also down time, bug issues. Final straw is a 25% price hike without notice. The notice sent mentioned 6% and they charged 25%. I brought it up the management and they didn't care and stuck to their 25% price hike for us. As a medical office, we were getting so many redundant faxes, were wastign a ton of paper, and most improtantly were wasting a ton of time getting faxes, scanning them, then moving into patient files. With Updox, one click and a fax is moved into a patient file. Makes everyone life so much easier, and we save a ton of money on paper. **What do you dislike about Updox?** Don't really dislike anything about Updox at this point. **What problems is Updox solving and how is that benefiting you?** We basically only use Updox's fax service at this point, and it has essentially cured our fax fatigue, namely the endless uneeded faxes (waste of paper), and the wasted time of taking faxes, scanning them, then moving them into patient files. Now it's all done with one click, and also sending out faxes from patient files is so much easier. Has saves us a ton of time and money. ### 7. EVERY SINGLE TIME we have an issue and open the "web chat" (it's of course, during a critical moment where a patient is trying to connect and we need support now, not in 24hrs. ) by the time support tries to help it's too late. Hours later. Everything else is underdeveloped. They have a form section, but you can't format anything. Email Blasts, minimal formatting. Texting is best for only outgoing; incoming patients can't add attachments. Video conferencing goes down a lot! Support is terrible. Constant promised features that never come to fruition. Terrible patient relationship manager. It may have slight "features" of it, but it lacks in functionality and it's water down features are just there to increase the cost of the software, they aren't full developed features. **What problems is Updox solving and how is that benefiting you?** It's providing a patient portal that allows patients to login and download their labs. It also provides a BASIC texting platform to notify patients of appointments and correspond to reschedule. I always faxed and received manually, so this is convenient, easier and faster than what I am used to. **What do you dislike about Updox?** I get frustrated when I am rerouting fax and someone else is doing it at the same time. I feel it is a waste of time when I could be doing another fax. I don't have to write down a lot of information. I don't have to sort through a stack of papers and hand-deliver them to each person. I can see everything I need to and if it is something I needed I can print it right there and scan it into chart. Also if someone else is looking for certain documents I can look out for them and give them directly to that co-worker. I get irritated with the faxes that are not ours and I have to go thru and fax back or if I get faxes that you can fax back and I have to figure out where to send them. ### 23. I do not have much I dislike about updox. Like being able to save directly into the patient's chart without having to print Love the ease of faxing out from Updox **What do you dislike about Updox?** Downsides of Updox - Printing of documents saved to the chart from Updox is not clear. Printing is fuzzy. It would be nice if we could import to chart into existing categories already in use, Also if we could save to chart as a word document instead of a PDF so that someone could add to the category in the future. Work around in Intergy is to save all documents from Updox as a PDF then you can add to the existing categories. File type just need to all be the same. So save as a PDF to desktop, then import to chart in imaging in Intergy. Still having problems with Updox finding a patient that has not been seen for their initial appointment, often have referral paperwork that needs to be put into the chart **Recommendations to others considering Updox:** Transition slowly so that staff has a chance to get used to the new workflow before entirely getting rid of your physical fax machine. Make one person the head person to train others **What problems is Updox solving and how is that benefiting you?** Workflow much better, able to find items in archives that may have been discarded and lost previously, able to track individuals work and work is more easily shared between co-workers ### 25. Being able to get our fax service, call reminders for patients and telehealth services in one program is wonderful. We at first did not like the telehealth service as you could not put the patient back into the waiting room, but that problem has been corrected this past summer and works fantastic. **What problems is Updox solving and how is that benefiting you?** Working on the video calls has really improved our telehealth services ### 26. All of your faxes, emails, texts, etc. You can respond via Updox and send items to patient's charts all in one location..It saves time when you don't have to check multiple inboxes/faxes/sites. I also like being able to communicate directly with other coworkers using the comment feature. It saves time not having to use another site or messaging system for that, and it is linked directly to that certain task, whether it is a fax, email, or text. Another helpful feature is the color coded tagging system. It allows you to assign a task to someone, and you can see when that task has been completed. It is helpful when the system notifies you of things such as failed faxes or messages that did not go through. Another benefit is being able to send items and documents directly to a patient chart securely. **What do you dislike about Updox?** It would be nice if our voicemails could go directly into Updox along with everything else. The downsides are that sometimes it is alot of work for the patient to set up the secure messaging ability, and unfortunately they aren't always willing to go throught the steps. **Recommendations to others considering Updox:** Give it a try; it will be worth it! It will definitely save you time and give you the orginization that you need! **What problems is Updox solving and how is that benefiting you?** It is an excellent benefit to be able to tag other co-workers using color-coded tags. You can see who needs to do what and when a task is complete. It is also nice to use the comment feature. It allows you to communicate with other coworkers without having to use another outside service or website. Another good tool and benefit is being able to communicate with the patient securely and directly. These benefits save time and allow you to have a productive work day. ### 30.
