Google hangouts meet is an advanced version of google hangouts chat as there were many cons from my point of view in hangouts chat. The mobile application of hangouts meet is pretty good and easy to use.

Sometimes screen sharing is not good in hangouts to meet software as literally I have tried around 5-10 mins for one urgent meeting but it failed.

The beat thing about google meet is that it allows about 100 participants absolutely free to access the platform without any cost... Due to lockdown it has been one of the important platform other than zoom to connect with each other within all age group.. For google hangout meet some fetaures are still lacking & are fixed with an update recently which were already there kn the competitors application like zoom.. Google Meet is a free software for everyone to use. It is a web based application doesn't require any installation. The UI is very crisp clear and clean. Real time platform to work and collaborate with clients. It is a three in one platform. We can instantly create a meeting room, need not remember the meeting URL, as every time a new URL is created and can be instantly shared over email. Unlike its other competitors where we have a fixed URL for meeting invites. Google meet is a great desktop sharing platform. For remote access to some other machine its the best available free software today. Its minimal and simplistic design appeals to a much larger audience who have very limited computer skills. The controls are very basic and straight forward. The concurrency of the android version and the windows web version is very impressive, almost similar seamless experience in both the cases. Though this app is used for screen sharing but the facility of giving access of the user's machine to someone else is very limited, this feature is much better in WebEx or Skype. People need to have a Gmail account, google meet is linked to your personal / work Gmail domain address. Screen control should be developed, noise cancellation and echo should be worked upon. Many other competitors have the feature of background change. The connection is fast and not as laggy as a lot of other similar programs I've used, and the quality is generally clear. I really like that you can also see who is currently in each meeting whilst in the 'waiting room' of the meeting. The interface is complicated and not very simple to use, and it's not obvious how to do certain things such as view more people in the screen at any one time, or change the view from just the speaker to tiles of everyone. There is limited 'fun' features such as background images (only available on certain browsers?) but this isn't a major concern while working, but it would be nice to have for the company 'social' calls. Screen sharing and even video conferencing is seamless even on low bandwidth and in case of switching connection, other members are not notified about dropping off and rejoining if done within few seconds. When sharing a video on a browser tab and clicking on full screen, the entire screen is not occupied and instead a top bar to stop sharing is present always especially when you're presenting a video on a shared browser tab.

The Meet platform is entirely online and web-based. Anyone with a Google account can join a call without the need to install a separate software locally like Zoom or Skype.

Also, The fact that Google Meets can get easily integrated with Google Calendar while setting up my day or sending out calendar invites, that is really useful in binding the entire team together as I can use the Calendar app on my phone or laptop to join meetings based on my schedule on Google Hangouts. Nothing in particular to be honest. The sound and video quality are good. We have screen sharing options, the option to integrate a jam board with the call, raise hands, etc. Google Meet also now gives the option to do a live stream.

I like how easy it is to invite people into google meet. As Covid-19 is happening, me and my colleagues can't meet up, so we use google meets on the daily. It is easy to make a meet, and not to mention, they have background affects so no one can see your background and collect information on you. You can also share your screen to present to others, and if your in charge of the meeting, you can kick someone out if they are making trouble. I dislike how it takes some time to unmute my microphone to speak. It also gets very slow and laggy while I use the background effects, making it hard to use. As for sharing my screen, that also takes a lot of time. I would hope that google meets works on making that faster. I also which the screen in google meets shows the people their more clearly as it gets blurry at times. For those reasons google meets can get very difficult to use at times.
