Review Summary

Generated using AI from real user reviews
Users consistently praise Riverside for its ease of use and high-quality recordings, making it a reliable choice for both beginners and experienced creators. The platform's local recording feature ensures that audio and video remain clear, even with unstable internet connections, which enhances the overall recording experience. However, some users note that the mobile app lacks certain editing features available on the desktop version.

"Easy All-in-One Podcast Recording, Editing, and Posting That Streamlined My Workflow"
What do you like best about Riverside?

I really enjoyed the easy to use recording options to kick start my podcast and creator journey. Once I started and saw all of the features I could add on with the pro version, it was a no brainer! Record, edit, and posting all in one - not only saving me multiple login accounts and hundreds in other softwares, but it's streamlined my workflow tremendously. Can't wait to try out going Live with YT too! And my 10/10 to recommend usually comes down to the magic clips - game changing! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Riverside?

I wish the iPad version had the option to go live on YT. The editor and accessing video recordings are a little wonky and intimidating but once you get the hang of it, it gets better. I also think there are A LOT of features which again can seem overwhelming so sifting through it all takes time when I'd rather just get the work done the way I can in that moment. "All-in-One Podcasting in Riverside: Record, Edit, Schedule, and Publish with Ease"
What do you like best about Riverside?

I love that I can do EVERYTHING for my podcast all within one platform. I even set up my Youtube/Spotify/Apple Pods right through Riverside. My sister and I host together, and I can connect two mics and a camera, then record, edit, schedule, and post everything all within Riverside. Literally TYSM. Podcasting used to overwhelm me, but that changed once I found it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Riverside?

I feel like I keep making the same few edits to some of the Magic clips, and it doesn’t always apply my settings when it generates new clips. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined solution for remote video and audio podcasting sessions."
What do you like best about Riverside?

The browser text based editor has really come a long way in just a short time. We initially selected Riverside just as a recording platform and edited off of the platform but I have to say with the exception of a few tweaks we edit all of our YouTube episodes and 90% of the audio episode right inside the Riverside editor. It's that good. Audio sweetening, color correction, captions, formatting. It's all there and it's snappy and responsive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Riverside?

Live streaming to YouTube and FB isn't always the most intuitive process but some of this is due to limitations of those platforms specifically. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Riverside offers services that speed up my work and improve the quality of the content I produce."
What do you like best about Riverside?

Editing saves time, and the AI tools that generate clips and short reels are decent and keep improving. I appreciate being able to add my clients' branding to videos, and the audio enhancement is awesome. The recording quality is very high, and the videos come out sharp and crisp. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Riverside?

It is not as good at audio editing. While I now use video in addition to the regular podcasts, the flow of audio for video and audio-only is very different. The editing tools that remove filler words and pauses require extra editing on my part to create the smooth sound I want for the podcasts. Also, it decides what "filler words" are, and I would like the option to add a list of words and phrases that I can flag. For instance, "I think that," "I mean," "And" at the beginning of a sentence. I can, of course, do this through the search function, but that is cumbersome.

The AI assistant that can produce text and thumbnails is just ok. It could be much better. As a result, I either edit a lot of what it suggests or I use ChatGPT or Gemini.

There is another issue I have been trying to bring to Riverside's attention. They are very good at responding to support issues, but I cannot get anyone to respond to this dilemma I have.

Riverside is Israeli-owned, and some of my clients and their guests, because of political reasons, have reservations about working with companies out of Israel. Riverside is not on any of the "boycott" lists, but my clients want assurances that Riverside is not connected with the Israeli government or actions in Palestine. From what I can tell, it is not. It is a good product, and the people running it may hold personal political beliefs, but the platform and the company seem neutral on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

I need to provide more assurances to my clients, but I cannot until I hear from someone in Riverside management. Otherwise, I would have answered the question, "How likely is it that you would recommend Riverside to a friend or colleague?" with a 10. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The Foundational Tool for Our Content-Led Growth & Investor Storytelling"
What do you like best about Riverside?

What I value most is how Riverside turns my most valuable asset—my time and expertise—into a scalable, high-fidelity content engine. As a founder, I'm constantly explaining our complex software to investors, potential hires, and early users. With Riverside, I can record a perfect, multi-camera product demo or a technical deep-dive with a co-founder in one take, regardless of our locations. The local recording feature is non-negotiable; it guarantees that every screen share, every line of code, and every nuanced explanation is captured in pristine quality, free from internet glitches. This allows me to produce investor update videos, onboarding tutorials, and community AMA sessions that look professionally produced, without the cost or time of a production team. It's founder efficiency at its best. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Riverside?

For a resource-constrained startup, the pricing, while justified, sits in a considered tier. The per-host model is perfect for our core content creation, but as we scale, inviting multiple team members as occasional hosts for departmental videos requires planning. A more flexible "guest host" add-on or a modestly priced tier for growing teams would lower the barrier for broader internal adoption beyond the founders and marketing leads. "Ensuring Uncompromised Clarity in Medical Communications & Global Trial Training"
What do you like best about Riverside?

What I value most is Riverside's ability to capture and preserve critical medical and technical discussions with flawless audio-visual fidelity, which is non-negotiable in our field. We use it to record detailed trainingmodules for clinical trial investigators across different countries, ensuring every protocol nuance and device usage instruction is delivered with crystal-clear precision. The local recording feature is indispensable—it guarantees that a principal investigator in a remote hospital with limited bandwidth is recorded in perfect quality, eliminating any risk of misinformation due to poor connection. We also use it to create authoritative educational content with our key opinion leaders (KOLs), enhancing our scientific outreach. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Riverside?

For a regulated industry, while theoutput is perfect, the platform could enhance its value with features tailored for compliance. For instance, built-in user authentication for viewers of sensitive training materials, or more granular access controls to restrict content internally, would be beneficial. Additionally, the ability to attach verifiable timestamps or generate automatic transcripts with speaker identification would be a powerful addition for audit trails in clinical training documentation. "The Indispensable Tool for Technical Demos, Developer Advocacy, and Clear Idea Communication"
What do you like best about Riverside?

What I like best is how Riverside removes all friction from creating high-fidelity technical content, which is core to our developer-focused growth. As a founder who codes, my time is the scarcest resource. I use Riverside to effortlessly record crystal-clear, multi-camera coding sessions, API walkthroughs, and architecture explanations with remote co-founders or early users. The local recording feature is non-negotiable; it guarantees that every line of code on my screen and every nuance of the explanation is captured in perfect quality, independent of internet hiccups. This allows me to produce professional tutorial videos, investor update demos, and communitycontent without needing a production team, saving countless hours and preserving technical authenticity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Riverside?

For a technical creator, I'd appreciate more granular control over the audio post-processing. While the default quality is excellent, having access to advanced settings to fine-tune noise suppression or equalization levels would be beneficial when recording in less-than-ideal acoustic environments (like a home office near a busy street). Additionally, native integration with developer tools (likethe ability to push a transcript directly to a GitHub repo as documentation) would be a powerful addition for technical workflows. "The Game-Changer for Closing Retailer Deals and Empowering Our Sales Force"
What do you like best about Riverside?

What I like best is how Riverside turns abstract sales pitches into tangible, compelling experiences that close deals. In the CPG world, getting facetime with key retail buyers is harder than ever. Instead of sending another PDF spec sheet, we now send a crisp, 3-minute video demo of our new product line, recorded with our head chef and R&D lead using Riverside. The local recording feature ensures every detail of the product's texture, preparation, and unique selling points is captured in stunning HD, regardless of where our experts are located. This level of polish and convenience makes our brand stand out in crowded buyer inboxes and has directly accelerated our sales cycle with major retailers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Riverside?

For a sales team focused on rapid execution, the platform's primary orientation towards content creators means some sales-specific workflows aren't fully optimized. For example, the ability to quickly add clickable CTAs (like a link to a sample request form or a distributor portal) directly onto the video player for viewers would be a powerful addition. While we can add links in the description, having them embedded would streamline the buyer's journey from interest to action within the same immersive experience. "The Operational Backbone for Our Supply Chain Communications and Product Launch Excellence"
What do you like best about Riverside?

What I value most is how Riverside brings unprecedented clarity and efficiency to our most critical operational communications. In the CPG world, coordinating with offshore manufacturers, ingredient suppliers, and logistics partners is constant. Instead of relying on error-prone email chains or low-quality conference calls, we now record high-definition briefing sessions and product specification reviews with Riverside. The local recording feature is indispensable—it ensures that every technical detail from a factory manager with a patchy connection is captured perfectly. We archive these videos as a single source of truth, drastically reducing miscommunication and costly production errors. It has become our de facto system for preserving institutional knowledge across a distributed supply chain. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Riverside?

The platform is designed primarily for content creation, so some enterprise-grade features we'd value as an operations team are not its core focus. For example, advanced user permission tiers for different departments (e.g., restricting R&D videos to the product team only) or more granular internal search functionality within a large library of operational recordings would enhance its utility as a secure, company-wide knowledge repository. While it excels at creation, evolving into a holistic "video knowledge base" would make it irreplaceable for operations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The Scalable Content Engine for Our Product-Led Growth & Customer Advocacy"
What do you like best about Riverside?

What I like best is how Riverside operationalizes and de-risks our entire content production pipeline, which is a core pillar of our Product-Led Growth strategy. We rely heavily on customer success stories, expert webinars, and deep-dive tutorials to drive acquisition and activation. Riverside's local recording guarantees that every interview with a global customer or industry expert yields broadcast-quality audio and video, regardless of their location or connection. This reliability allows us to scale content volume without sacrificing quality—a non-negotiable for maintaining brand authority in the competitive SaaS space. The separate tracks are a growth ops dream, enabling our team to repurpose a single interview into dozens of polished clips for social, email, and our website in a fraction of the time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Riverside?

For a growth team focused on scalability and automation, the lack of deeper integrations with our core marketing stack (like HubSpot or our CMS) is a slight friction point. While the output files are superb, automating the upload of final videos to a designated asset library or triggering nurture campaigns based on published interviews requires manual steps. A more robust API or native Zapier/Make.com integrations for workflow automation would perfectly align with the "set-and-forget" ethos we strive for in growth operations.
