What I like most about @ClickUp is its ability to become a "Center of Gravity" for a team's work, especially when managing multiple projects in parallel (my case in PMO). New AI integration offer better insights and saves time.

Recently, I’ve been making the most of Asana’s upgraded AI Teammates. Now I am able to pass on boring stuff—like risk reports or multilingual searches—to the AI while only focusing on the parts of web dev and marketing I truly enjoy. It’s a real time-saver.

The Timesheets & Budgets add-on? Honestly, it’s made tracking client hours and expenses way less of a headache. I don’t need to juggle a bunch of spreadsheets anymore, which feels like a small miracle.

What do you dislike about Asana?

Asana really needs to allow users assign a task to more than one person. Right now, you’re stuck picking just one, which slows things down when teams are working together—especially on web development or marketing projects. People end up creating subtasks or other workarounds, which just adds clutter.

Customer support could use a serious upgrade, too. Users often complain about slow replies, chatbots that don’t actually help, and getting the runaround with refunds. When you hit a snag with something like the WhatsApp API integration, you want real help, not more headaches.

What do you like best about Smartsheet?

I work as a Dietician & Nutritionist, manage a homeopathy clinic, and also create health education content, so I have many small tasks to track every day. I use Smartsheet to manage patient follow ups, printing diet charts, appointment confirmations, and content planning. I don’t come from a technical background, but I could start using it without any help. The layout feels familiar, like a simple table, so adding tasks and dates is easy for me.

It was easy to set up my sheet for weekly clinic work and content planning. I just created columns for task, status, priority, and due date and started adding my daily work. I didn’t need any special setup or training to begin.

I open Smartsheet almost every day to check what is pending and what is already done. It helps me plan my clinic day and also manage content work for the week, so I don’t forget follow ups and small tasks.

The features I use most are status, priority, due dates, comments, and attachments. Attaching files like diet charts and notes to tasks is helpful because everything stays with the task and I don’t have to search for files later.

I also find it easy to connect this with how I already work. I track expenses in another app and then note related review tasks in Smartsheet. It fits well into my routine and doesn’t feel complicated to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Smartsheet?

One thing I notice is that Smartsheet works best on a bigger screen. On smaller screens, I prefer to note things down and update later from my laptop. What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?

Earlier, I used to handle clinic tasks and content work in a very loose way. Some days I focused only on patients and forgot content deadlines, and some days it was the opposite. There was no clear picture of what was pending and what I had already finished.

With Smartsheet, I now keep a simple running list of my work. When I complete something, I mark it and move on to the next task. This helps me stay consistent instead of working in bursts and then catching up later. Over time, this has made my work feel more controlled and less rushed, especially on busy clinic days. What do you like best about Syncro?

Synchro is a complete product. With helpful integrations, and although other products maybe more integrated, Synchro definitely gets the job done at a reasonable price. With helpful tech support, and without it being overwhelming. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Syncro?

I think their reporting system could still use improvement. And integration with other products could be more complete. Especially with products such as IT Glue which it only partially integrates with (the PSA side does, but the RMM doesn't). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Syncro solving and how is that benefiting you?

Initially, (several years ago) I was not thrilled with their remote support tool. Since then, they have added Splashtop which is an acceptable and better alternative to their original offering. However, I still find that the extra cost of using Screenconnect is worth it especially since much of our work is done through the remote support tool. We are very hands on with our customers and they like it when we can remote into their computers, and start fixing the issue they are having in less than a minute. This connection time is roughly the same for the Splashtop product, their internal tool (which you can still use and which we find very helpful sometimes) as well as Screenconnect. What do you dislike about Procore?

The new bid platform is much better than the legacy, but it's still very slow. And when you create a bid package out of order, you can't reorder them, so that 9C ACT is below 7A TPO Roofing.

Also, I don't like Procore's concept of bid packages. If I had to create a separate bid package just for Roofers, I would have 30-50 bid packages that I would have to jump back and forth to, and the load time is WAY too slow to support that. I'm also not sure how a mass communication would work that way.

I use bid forms the way the system is set up to use bid packages, so that I can separate all of my trades, but still have them all in one place. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Procore solving and how is that benefiting you?

Bid coverage. Procore is an elite software, so prospective bidders pay attention to the emails. Ultimately I hope that means better coverage. On the subcontractor side, the easier it is for them to get the details of the project and download the plans, the better it is for me that they'll jump through enough hoops and put the project in their bid pipeline. Some of the standard reports in the system feel lackluster, and I find it difficult to get meaningful data out of the Planning tool without having to massage the data first. Deltek Vantagepoint still has areas that aren't as flexible or adaptable as our team would like along with the areas that require heavy investment to learn and maintain. The AI agent built into Vantagepoint is not useful. From the shortcomings of what it can do, the way it is inconsistent in responses, and to the length of time it takes to get a reply, I find it faster to bypass the AI tool, using the traditional route to get what I need. Vantagepoint is a good comprehensive platform for financial, billing, project management and reporting that just is not found in other applications we have looked at compared to it. What do you like best about BigTime?

1. I like the easy and multiple ways I can enter and submit time. I can use the web version or the iPhone app. I can work in a weekly view or in a daily view.

2. I love how easy it is to add/remove SOW and Tasks. I prefer to only see what I am working on in a particular week, so adding all the tasks for this week make it super clean to work with.

What do you dislike about BigTime?

4. I would like access/permission to some canned reports based on my ability/permission to enter time. This could be a decision by my organization, as I am not an admin, but other than printing my timecard to a pdf, I can’t report on SOWs or tasks.

5. I think there is benefit to submitting a specific day’s hours. I plan out my time for the week by SOW/task and adjust as the time is worked. I would like to be able to submit time for a day completed, but not the rest of the week, since it is not yet worked. What do you dislike about Autotask?

This is a powerful product, and that means complexity. Anyone who tells you that "powerful" and "complex" don't walk hand-in-hand is trying to sell you something that likely won't meet your needs. With that in mind, the power of this platform will give you an indication of just how much you're going to need to understand to make it work properly.

If you don't take the time to fully understand and set the product up properly, and this will require quite a bit of that time, you're going to dislike the result. The faster you get into it and "just start using it," the faster you're going to make a mess that will take several times as long as it should to sort out and correct.

Paid onboarding/setup services are available. If you don't have a lot of tolerance for reading documentation, watching technical videos, or you don't have a truly firm grasp of your organization's workflows (to include finance, if you'll be billing with this product), then you'll definitely want to task someone else with doing this for you, and Kaseya offer services with a price tag commensurate with the amount of work you don't want to do. It has easy integration across all the platforms we use, allowing us to manage stock in 2 locations, all drawing from the same warehouse. This really revolutionised the way our staff pick products, eliminating the need for paper, pen and clipboard faff. The great order management allows us to seamlessly process our orders across various platforms such as our website, eBay and Amazon, ensuring there are no stock clashes.
