What do you like best about Xero?

We’ve used Xero for a number of clients, mainly UK-based, and the interface is genuinely quite clean compared with some other tools. It’s straight to navigate, even if you’re not in it every day.

What do you dislike about Xero?

The search feature isn’t very good compared to QBO. The Manual Journal interface isn’t great either, and recurring journals can be a bit tricky to set up and manage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Xero solving and how is that benefiting you?

One thing that really good about is the integrations, especially with Gusto, Brex, and Mercury. The bill syncing from these platforms works really well and honestly saves a lot of time on the bookkeeping side. It reduces a lot of the manual work we’d otherwise have to do.

For us, it mainly helps in keeping client books more organized without spending too much time on initial setup. For example, I’ve set up flows that automatically save email attachments to specific folders and notify the team when something important comes in. This alone has saved me several hours each week and reduced the chance of missing important information.

The interface is also quite user-friendly, especially for non-developers, and the available templates make it easy to get started quickly. We’ve had a largely positive experience with Acumatica. The platform is reasonably priced, especially given the breadth of functionality it offers. It’s also highly customizable and scalable, which has allowed it to fit the specific needs of our industry and continue to adapt as our organization grows.

A major advantage for our team has been how well Acumatica integrates with Excel and Velixo. Being able to import and export data easily, build reports, and work within a familiar Excel environment has made our financial reporting and analysis much more efficient.

We’ve also found the support team to be responsive and helpful, which matters a lot when implementing new workflows or refining existing ones in a system as robust as an ERP.

Solves a lot of ecom specific challenges with bookkeeping. Specifically, I appreciate how it manages our pre-orders by using deferred revenue for pre-orders that are unfulfilled. I also appreciate that is connects with so many of our sales channels, like Shopify and Amazon, to give us up-to-the-day accuracy. They way they are managing Shopify Collective and dropship vendors is a huge improvement over QBO and even their own previous methods. They are constantly innovating to improve features, and customer service always replies quickly. We have a quarterly call to make sure everything is working properly. What do you dislike about Finaloop?

I've had issues over time, but most of them have been solved. My only current complaint is loans are not automatically expenses and amortizes on a monthly basis. What do you like best about Kashoo?

Easy to use and fast tool. It took little time to setup (from an accounting standpoint) and works on all platforms (mobile, windows & mac). Since it's cloud-based, works from everywhere I go. Very stable platform, I haven't experienced downtime for more than a couple minutes and rearely more than once per year (probably due to maintenance). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Kashoo?

The mobile app doesn't yet support businesses which have multiple currency transactions. This is something they're aware of and are working on. I've been using this for 9 years, new features are far between. I wish there were more external integrations, as well as a visual editor to produce custom styled invoices. Recommendations to others considering Kashoo:

Try it, you'll love it. Even if you're not well versed in accounting, the layout makes for easy management of your business accounting. For more complicated entries, I've simply relied on a quick call to an accounting firm and took care of the entry. So even more complex entries are well handled. Use the mobile application to understand the full potential of Kashoo. There's a new revamped version soon to be released that will include better dashboards and automated data entry, so look forward to this. Their online webinars are totally worth checking out.
