Okay, so while I'm a big fan, no system is perfect, right? If I had to nitpick something someone could dislike about Sage Intacct, it might be the initial learning curve and implementation.

Because it's such a robust and feature-rich platform, getting everything set up exactly how you want it and training your team can take a bit more time and effort upfront compared to simpler, less comprehensive solutions. It's not necessarily difficult, but it does require a commitment to the process. Basically, it kicks a lot of the annoying parts of my job to the curb. Think mountains of invoices to type in? Intacct often grabs that info automatically – huge time-saver and way fewer typos. Chasing down who needs to approve what? It routes invoices electronically and pings people, so stuff doesn't get stuck on someone's desk for ages.

I can actually see what's going on with our bills in real-time, not just some dusty report at the end of the month. Need to know if we paid a certain vendor? Boom, it's right there. While NetSuite is a powerful and flexible platform, there are some limitations that can impact day-to-day usability.

One of the main challenges is with Saved Searches, particularly around complex criteria and advanced filtering. As requirements become more sophisticated, it can be difficult to build or maintain searches without workarounds, and performance can sometimes be impacted.

From a supply chain perspective, there are also limitations in inventory management and demand forecasting capabilities. Forecasting often requires additional customization or external tools to achieve higher accuracy and deeper predictive insights.

What problems is it solving?

Before NetSuite, our data was trapped in different systems that didn’t talk to each other. We were wasting hours manually moving information between spreadsheets, which led to human errors and outdated numbers.

How is it benefiting you?

A couple of the downsides are that they no longer work with Melio because they have their own payment processing. I have three vendors that each month cannot be paid via QB online and I have to login to Melio separetley and process the payments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The one thing that QB online does is they have a really good payroll processing platform. All of the taxes are handled and I recently discovered that we can also use the same program for employee time tracking. The main thing is consistency across screens. Background processing and how certain operations behave still varies from one module to the next, and the service module in particular doesn't always work the way you'd expect coming from the other areas. Tightening that up so the experience feels the same everywhere would make training new users easier and cut down on the "why does it work differently here" questions. Managing large flows with many conditions and actions can also become difficult, so better design tools and visualization would be helpful. Microsoft Power Automate addresses the issue of time-consuming manual operations and data integration issues across several platforms.

Rillet is clearly built for the modern finance stack, and it does that very well. If you're in GovCon and need a DCAA-approved accounting system, that's a specific niche it isn't yet designed for, which is worth knowing if you're in that space. Report customization options are too few, can’t adjust layouts to match local German audit forms. Bulk editing reconciliations runs sluggishly. It lacks native connection to our internal file server, so I manually upload all supporting documents monthly. We previously handled all closing work via scattered Excel sheets. FloQast consolidates all closing procedures into one platform, unifies team task tracking and provides traceable audit materials. Heads-up: This feedback is based on my hands-on navigation so far. I am still figuring out existing workarounds if they are available.

My primary challenge is with scheduling and data integration. I wanted a scheduled starting point that reads specific columns from an existing Jotform form to trigger conditional emails. However, the system does not let me select a form that is already tied to a form-started workflow. There should be a direct way to trigger scheduled actions based on existing submission data or connected Google Sheets columns.

Additionally, the Podo AI assistant struggled with these scheduling scenarios. It ran into multiple errors, had trouble generating the requested logic, and gave unclear troubleshooting instructions. The AI assistant needs deeper training on all integrations and conditional logic to prevent these hurdles. Because of this, I deleted my scheduled workflow for now.

Lastly, there is a disconnect between Jotform AI Agents and structural Jotform Workflows. I want an automated flow that triggers at the start of an AI chat. The agent could prompt structured, sequential screening questions before switching to a freestyle AI mode. Jotform Workflows solves the bottleneck of manual candidate tracking. Instead of manually reviewing every single profile and copying data over, the platform uses a submitted form as a direct starting point to route applicants through conditional gates.

The biggest benefit to my recruiting setup is the mobility it provides. Being able to trigger custom email alerts like my Interview Invite Email via simple mobile inbox approvals allows me to keep the hiring pipeline moving rapidly from anywhere.
