Zapier helps us cut down on manual work by connecting the different tools we use in customer support. For instance, when a customer submits an inquiry, Zapier can automatically capture the details in Google Sheets and notify the support team right away. I created an app for our rescue group. It’s members-only, and it lets us add and edit each cat’s information, including medical details, photos, location, and the name of the foster. It also includes a section with downloadable PDF forms, plus a place to share links to our adoption application, donations, website, and more. I also added a section for adoption events.

We work with about 10 pet stores that have our cats waiting for adoption, so it used to be hard to keep track of which store each cat was in and what medical information was on file. To help with that, I created a store directory with each store’s details, showing which cats are currently there, along with a downloadable flyer/signage for each store.

While Lucid is great for creating and collaborating on process maps, managing large volumes of content across multiple teams can require additional governance and oversight. One downside of Webflow is that some native components can feel restrictive when a project calls for advanced functionality or deeper customization. For example, the built-in Slider is fine for straightforward use cases, but it starts to fall short when you need tighter control over animations, transitions, navigation, responsive behavior, or the overall interaction design. In those situations, I usually prefer building the component with custom HTML, CSS, and JavaScript rather than trying to work around the native component’s limitations.

This limitation shows up more broadly with complex requirements, where Webflow’s visual approach can begin to feel constraining. Although custom code and external integrations can fill many of these gaps, they often add extra complexity to the setup and ongoing maintenance.

Pricing is another factor to consider, especially if you’re managing multiple websites or if a project needs additional CMS or hosting capabilities. As a site grows, certain requirements can also push you into a higher plan.

The newer AI and MCP capabilities are promising, but they still have limitations when you’re working with custom-coded components. The AI workflow seems to perform much better with native Webflow elements than with more complex HTML, CSS, and JavaScript implementations. A stronger understanding of custom code would make the AI experience far more useful for advanced projects.

Webflow solves both development and business problems for me. On the development side, it significantly reduces the time and effort required to build, launch, and maintain websites. I can take a design and turn it into a responsive, production-ready site quickly, without having to build and manage an entire frontend, CMS, and hosting setup from scratch.

From a business perspective, that speed helps us deliver sites sooner and manage multiple projects more efficiently. Because ongoing content and design updates are relatively straightforward, we can respond to client or organizational needs quickly, without every small change turning into a separate development task. This lowers maintenance overhead and lets the team focus more on meaningful improvements instead of repetitive work.

Performance is another advantage. Webflow provides a strong foundation for building fast websites through its hosting infrastructure, CDN, asset delivery, and built-in optimization features. Of course, final performance still depends on how the site is built, the assets used, and any custom code or third-party integrations, but Webflow gives us a solid starting point without requiring us to manage the underlying infrastructure ourselves.

It also helps bridge the gap between design and development. We can iterate rapidly in the visual environment while still using custom HTML, CSS, and JavaScript when a project needs more control.

The move toward AI-assisted workflows is also starting to reduce the amount of manual work involved in maintaining websites. I recently used Webflow MCP with Cursor to optimize the layout and content of several pages, and it understood the requested changes and implemented them correctly on the first attempt. For larger website portfolios, this kind of workflow could meaningfully reduce the time spent on repetitive updates.

Design review and visual reference sharing for web projects. I build code-first, so Figma is my review and communication surface rather than my daily design tool — it keeps designers, collaborators and me looking at the same source instead of screenshots drifting through chat. As a freelance event/content producer, I also use Figma to review, comment on, and prepare event design files such as key visuals and winner boards for the dance-event productions I produce. From my perspective, there are certain limitations to consider when using Quickbase for AI-focused R&D workflows. While the platform can be useful for organizing the experimentation lifecycle, specialized technical tools will still be required for actual model testing, complex statistical evaluation, and advanced AI experimentation.

Another improvement I would like to see is greater flexibility in integrating AI evaluation pipelines, specifically regarding automated result ingestion, comparisons between experiment versions, and the collection of structured feedback. If the setup and configuration in these areas were made more intuitive, end-to-end innovation tracking could become even more efficient for technology teams. In technology, AI, and R&D, the traceability of experimental decision-making is a relatively overlooked challenge. For instance, when multiple AI approaches, automation concepts, or technical solutions are evaluated for a business problem, it can later become difficult to determine which approach was tested, what the results were, what limitations were identified, and why a specific decision was ultimately made for implementation.

Quickbase can serve as a structured AI innovation evaluation hub to address this gap. It allows individual Proofs of Concept (PoCs) to be linked with their objectives, experimental versions, evaluation criteria, human feedback, estimated feasibility, and final recommendations.

As a content creator focused on technology, WordPress makes my overall publishing workflow much easier. The only thing that has bothered me is that I've been building a site over this past year and the blocks have been updating without notice and they have been replacing blocks rather than just adding and the blocks they had in the past were more useful than the ones they've replaced them with. I do not like the convoluted nature of some of the tools. It takes many clicks and searching to find what we are looking for. I wish it was clearly labeled. I also do not like how it costs more to send to more than 200 people. We already pay for the hosting service, but then we have to pay to send emails out to more than 200 people. That is frustrating, because any self respecting business has more than 200 people we are sending emails to at any point in time. Then we need to pay more. Wix is solving our communication and promotional problem a lot. That is benefitting us because we have many people in our community that don't do social media, so they go and visit our website. Although Airtable has been helpful for my teams, Airtable’s AI, Omni, isn’t perfect, and the UX could use some improvement. I’d especially like Omni to be a bit more conversational when it’s interpreting data in my databases and responding to questions about that data. For now, I’ve found this can be mitigated by connecting an LLM to Airtable’s MCP, which lets tools like Claude pull from Airtable context and make edits within your Airtable environment. I’ve also noticed a gap between the front-end “interfaces” experience and the back-end databases: some extensions work in one but not the other, which can be confusing, and it'd be helpful to expand on the front-end views you can set up. Before Airtable, our project management workflows were scattered across multiple apps and tools.
