I first discovered Zapier years ago, before AI became a part of everyday life and an integral part of computing infrastructure. At that time Zapier was innovative and enabled integration and automation that was difficult to do without advanced programming skills. But at present there are mainstream AI tools that can do what Zapier does that are easier to use. The rapid change in the technology landscape has also pushed me to improve my skills. The biggest challenge is cost and complexity. Even with nonprofit discounts, the licensing and add-on pricing adds up quickly for a lean organization, and it takes real budget planning to justify. The platform is powerful but has a steep learning curve, so onboarding new staff and volunteers takes time and I often end up building custom training. Some of the more advanced features effectively require a consultant or a lot of admin hours to configure well. It’s also helped us explore ways to streamline processes, like maintenance tracking and capturing signatures, though those are still in the early stages. The only thing that has bothered me is that I've been building a site over this past year and the blocks have been updating without notice and they have been replacing blocks rather than just adding and the blocks they had in the past were more useful than the ones they've replaced them with. One of the improvements that would add the most value would be having Aria fully integrated within the Wix Studio Editor and not just in the control panel.
