The user experience favors experienced users. New or occasional contributors may face a steeper learning curve and reduced workflow discoverability. Adoption of newer capabilities such as MCP style extensibility, API first workflows, and AI native integrations has been slower compared to newer platforms. String level intelligence for software UI localization could be stronger. More robust string ID matching and reuse would improve change tracking and consistency in continuous delivery environments. Overall, the trade off between control and usability is the primary area teams should evaluate upfront. **What problems is Trados solving and how is that benefiting you?** Trados addresses the challenge of running localization at enterprise scale by centralizing translation workflows, assets, and reuse across multiple languages and file types. For us, the primary benefit is predictable execution. Opening different types of files to set up to start working. **What problems is Trados solving and how is that benefiting you?** Many translation companies request the translators be able to use Trados Studio. It is very useful tool when the translation is a large file and there are repeated or similar passages. ### 3. It often takes me a long time to find what I'm looking for. I'd like to have the time to learn how to use them all. I like the fact that there are lots of shortcuts available for the functions offered. **What do you dislike about Trados?** I'd like the software to be faster between validating segments and to crash less when I have to manage large files. I'd also like there to be a shortcut for selecting all the text, like in other CAT tools (Phrase for example). **What problems is Trados solving and how is that benefiting you?** Trados helps me translate faster and more accurately. It also helps me to work with a wide range of clients. ### 4. Its the go to tool for localization. The ability to create files and release images for translation is incredibly valuable. **What do you dislike about Trados?** Interface is overwhelming for users making it challenging to navigate and utilize all the features. It would greatly benefit from an user friendly design. **What problems is Trados solving and how is that benefiting you?** Managed Translation & TMS offers a solution for all our translation requirements. Their project management and translation memory system have significantly maximized productivity and consistency. ### 5. SDL Trados is also compatible with other CAT tools, and you can even import TMs from **What do you dislike about Trados?** The interface in general. It's not user-friendly, and the layout of segments makes the font look bad and unpleasant to the eye. There are also so many functions that might not be useful for many users and therefore make things seem like a mess and confusing. **What problems is Trados solving and how is that benefiting you?** It keeps a record of my translation for repetitive terms and facilitates the translation of almost identical sentences, and therefore quickens the process of translation a bit. ## Trados Discussions -
