The onboarding process is poorly designed and needlessly long so what could be a 3-5 min each employee setup takes 10-15 min each employee. Pricing is awful and (at-least from our rep experience) misleading with contractual gotchas like auto renewing certain parts for a 1 year term even if you stated you want to cancel the full service. Performance is subpar with consistent employee account issues such as not being able to transfer their own available balances and just saying contact support who does not give answers other than automated Ai response with help article links. Even urgent issues such as "multiple employees are not able to get their wages and error says something went wrong contact support" are not handled with a timeline, urgency, or visibility but the money deducted to make those payments comes out days in advanced or you get urgent payroll emails saying they wont process. The support side is not helpful unless you get escalated past the "AI" gate and employee who copies and pasts the help articles. Even then, it is bad. Integrations with google workspace was poor and disconnected promptly due to trust issue with Rippling. the UI is terribly designed with no clear intuitive navigation or usability. Like any software platform, BambooHR has limitations. Some advanced HR, payroll, and reporting features may not be as robust as those offered by larger enterprise systems, and certain customizations can require workarounds. For me, BambooHR has made day-to-day HR work much more organized and less time-consuming. Instead of jumping between spreadsheets, emails, and different systems, I can find employee information in one place and complete routine tasks more efficiently. Project management - used for a small team of 5 people for a couple of different projects, it's really useful in keeping track on progress/updates in one place, with everything logged and the capacity to attach documents and store them works well when engaging with external companies.

Before implementing Employment Hero, many of our HR processes were manual or spread across multiple systems, which created inefficiencies and increased administrative effort. Employment Hero has helped centralise employee records, onboarding, compliance, performance management and HR documentation into a single platform, giving employees and managers easy access to the information they need.

The biggest benefit has been reducing manual administration and improving process consistency. Tasks such as onboarding, policy acknowledgements, development discussions and document management are now more streamlined and easier to track. One drawback of Hubstaff is that some of its employee monitoring features can feel a bit intrusive, particularly for teams that place a high value on autonomy. Hubstaff helps us address challenges around time tracking, project visibility, and team productivity, especially when we’re working with remote or distributed teams. Before using Hubstaff, it was hard to get an accurate picture of how time was being allocated across different projects and tasks. ClickUp’s biggest drawback, in my experience, is the learning curve. With so many features and customization options, it can feel overwhelming for new users at first. I’ve also noticed that pages with a large number of tasks, or more complex dashboards, sometimes take longer to load than I’d prefer. And while the platform is very powerful, certain settings and workflows aren’t always easy to locate without spending time digging through the documentation and exploring on your own.

I was disappointed to find that when I went to look art prior month's pay, it still displayed the amount of hours of the current month. That was initially confusing.

When I try to print a full week of the time clock, it’s hard to get a simple printout that shows only the “clock in” times and the “clock out” times. Instead, it seems to want to generate an Excel sheet with every little detail included. I really wish there were an option to print just the “In & Out” times only. I like being able to see what times coworkers have clocked in and out, where they’ve clocked in and out, and their available vacation and sick days. It’s helped me spend less time figuring out everyone’s remaining vacation days and hours, and it has also reduced the number of time-related questions I get from employees. Honestly, I don't have many complaints about TriNet. If I had to mention something, it would be that there are a lot of features and sections to the platform, so it can take a little time to find exactly what you're looking for if you're not using it often. One thing I would improve is the way some features are organized. WebWork Time Tracker helps me avoid guessing how much time I spend on my work. Everything is recorded in one place, so I can easily check my daily hours and see where my time goes. As of recent, we've had a few issues with the report writer. We believe it's not the most user friendly or easiest to use. If there were more training on how to build reports, that would be great. Support time has been slower as of recent, but averaged out over the last few years that I've personally used the system, it's been good overall. The AI piece has a long ways to go to really be considered helpful. Right now it just gives you articles from Paylocity's PEAK area to assist with troubleshooting, but doesn't answer questions fully and it can't pull real-time data from the system (like an employee's pay, how many hours did employee work within a time frame, etc.). Paylocity is currently helping us with one of the reports that we've built in report writer. It's our 401K report that we have to send to our carrier each payroll. They're also looking at setting up 360 integration with our carrier that way we can hopefully do away with the report. That'll be a big help! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The main downside of Homebase in my case, may be a boon to others. When my employees log in to they app there is a constant request to clock-in at the top of their screen. While this feature is more geared towards mom-and-pop shops or maybe a restaurant/bar-like situation, it is not a feature I currently use (my P&C department already has a 3rd party app for this). However, this is no option to remove this and I am regularly pinged by new employees who think this is how they clock in, only for me to receive an email stating that someone on my team wants me to opt-in to this feature. Labor Management: The simple and intuitive (and beautiful) scheduling interface makes scheduling staff a breeze. I am able to see and plan for gaps at glance. My team is able to view their schedules from their phones and formally swap shifts with ease as well. All-in-all this makes one of the more tedious parts of team management something almost enjoyable.

Team Communication: Previously my teams would create group chats to talk amongst themselves. This created privacy issues when it came to unwanted attention outside of work, or former employees spiking the chat. This is completely solved using Homebase's chat function. Only I can see personal information and have the ability to immediately terminate this at the conclusion of an employees tenure. There is also an added benefit of not only being able to communicate announcements across the entire team, but also being able to track who has read announcements. The biggest issues we’ve had over time were related to changes in the support team, especially when some individuals weren’t experienced enough to understand the complexity of our questions and couldn’t provide support in an appropriate manner. I think the main aspect that didn’t work well for us was a fixed, non-editable feature in the payroll module. When doing F&F calculations or generating payslips, you sometimes need to add custom items, but some of those fields aren’t editable. As a result, the payslip and payroll setup can feel a bit rigid, which isn’t ideal when you’re working with an HRMS tool and need flexibility.

I use Asanify AI for payroll, attendance, leave, and document management, and it helps automate tasks such as payslip generation and leave notifications. The Buddy Punch mobile application is missing some features that are only available on PC. The specific features I noticed that were not available are customizing notifications and account details.
