What do you like best about Buddy Punch?

I have been using Buddy Punch for a while now, and it's been a smooth transaction. The interface is clean and incredibly easy for everyone to navigate. Clocking in and out takes seconds, which helps me be on time.

What do you dislike about Buddy Punch?

Sometimes, when I'm overwhelmed with the workloads, I tend to forget to clock out after my shift, which may cause me to write a report on why I forget to clock out on time. So it really helps if there is a notification email that reminds me to clock out. Also it really help to have a confirmation button whenever I need to change type of work or clock out. It’s completely understandable how easy it can be to miss a clock-out when workloads get intense, especially in a remote environment. You should also see your status change whenever punching in or out or switching between jobs. What do you dislike about Buddy Punch?

Only problems ive had so far:

- The web based desktop version sometimes doesnt seem to register the click for punch in / punch out. This may be a my computer thing, not a their problem thing.

- on the web based desktop version putting in custom time punches (like 8:13 instead of the using the predefined 5 minute blocks) is clunky and doesnt respond as expected. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Simplified Time Tracking for Multiple Jobs"
What do you like best about Buddy Punch?

Buddy Punch lets me clock in and out of multiple job throughout the day. Our accounting team used to hate having to tally my weekly hours because they were so complicated.

On rare occasions, the Buddy Punch site is not available or functional.

What do you like best about Buddy Punch?

The software is quite user-friendly. I appreciate how it notifies us about late, early, or missed shifts, and I also like that there is an option to disable all alerts if needed. My primary use for the program is scheduling, though I have also made use of a few reports. It is very easy to use and generally easy to adjust. I utilize the app on a daily basis. Its very easy to set employees up and make adjustments. The app is useful and convenient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Buddy Punch?

I wish the computer version made it easier to fill in the blanks when scheduling. While I do like the drag-and-drop feature, it ends up being quite slow and time-consuming when I need to move shifts to the right staff member. I’m not a fan of assigning shifts directly to employees because I have to constantly switch back and forth to check who has already been scheduled and who still needs a shift. It would also be helpful if we could copy a pre-created template with available shifts that match our hospital’s schedule. I usually set up shifts in the open shifts section, but it would be much more convenient to update all the shifts at once using a template. There have been a few times when I missed clocking in or out, and the weekly hours don’t automatically add up, even after I adjust the times, since it’s waiting for approval. It would be helpful to see a tentative total of potential hours accumulated. I also wish the overall calendar fit better on the screen, as there is a lot of unnecessary space above and below, especially at the bottom where the total hours are displayed. I also wish there was a way to leave the shift and mark it as out sick or left early, without creating a PTO. I also wish there was a way to publish certain shifts without doing all of them at the same time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

A few notes: while you can create, apply, and manage scheduling templates from the Buddy Punch website, making it easy to reuse common shift patterns and save time when building schedules, this would currently be on an employee basis. Perhaps using the filters at the top and to the side of the schedule would help prevent as much switching "back and forth" as you mentioned. Using said filters can also help you publish shifts only in your "view" at that time instead of all shifts at the same time. I find that the customer service is very good and always finds the answers to my questions. Creating a schedule is simple and easily accessible to my employees. The features available are exactly what I need to run my small team efficiently.
