**What do you like best about BetterUnite?**

It's intuitive. I can usually figure out how to complete a task without a webinar, and if I need more information it's been easy to find. The grant interface works well, and this thing was born to manage events.

**What do you dislike about BetterUnite?**

I miss having a "History" hotlink button (DonorPerfect) for when my CEO wants a giving snapshot. But meh, I take a screenshot and that works just as well. I'm still figuring out how to customize all my reports. Looking forward to optimizing android mobile in addition to the ease y'all have with iphone.

**What problems is BetterUnite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Events, events, events. It's like the Rimac of platforms for events. (Rimac is the Croatian supercar that's waaaaay better than a Ferrari). Plus, y'all are keeping us organized in a way we can afford.

**What do you like best about BetterUnite?**

User-friendly and intuitive, with great support whenever I need it.

**What do you dislike about BetterUnite?**

It’s important to be aware of the credit card fees, but that’s also how the platform is supported. There are several options for deciding who covers these costs (donors, the organization, or other choices). Overall, I find the fees reasonable given the tools the platform provides.

**What problems is BetterUnite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This platform works well for any event. We’ve only just scratched the surface of what it can do (for example, we don’t use the auction tool), but it’s reassuring to know the more advanced tools are available if we ever need them.

**What do you like best about BetterUnite?**

I love that BetterUnite can be used for every single stage of my events! They have a comprehensive list of features, my favorite being the easy check-in with tap-to-pay on our cellphones for guests to pre-register their cards. Their team was highly attentive and quick to respond to any of our concerns.

**What do you dislike about BetterUnite?**

There are quite a few features that felt a little rough around the edges or not as customizable as my design team would have liked. While we were able to make everything work, we did have to find a few work arounds and when I shared the specific feedback with a team member, I got the response that "that's how it is".

**What problems is BetterUnite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest problem that BetterUnite solved for me was the nightmare of processing payments at our gala. BetterUnite had the auction fully built into their software and made it easy for guests to make a simple donation, bid on an auction item, or give an offline gift while counting it all in one place.

The ability for me to actually manage it without formal training. Sometimes we learn as we go and this platform allows you to.

**What do you dislike about BetterUnite?**

Design templates are limited. if you dont know HTML its hard. Sizing photos is hard. and it puts required fields on the registration page. the only way to remove them is to delete them overall.

**What problems is BetterUnite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is an easy to use platform with volunteers

We’re glad to hear that BetterUnite has been easy to manage without formal training and that it’s been a helpful tool for working with volunteers. That’s exactly the experience we aim to create!

On the design side, we want to clarify a couple of points that may help. While HTML customization is available, it’s completely optional. Many organizations successfully build and manage pages using our built-in tools without any coding. For images, photo sizing and formatting features are built into the platform to make this process more streamlined.

Regarding registration fields, you do have flexibility there as well. Fields do not need to be universally required. Using our Conditional Checkout feature, you can set rules so that specific fields only appear based on what a supporter selects, allowing for a much more tailored and simplified experience.

**What do you like best about BetterUnite?**

The support!  As they grow and our organization uses their platform more, we trust that the team at BetterUnite will help guide us through the process.  We love that we can integrate our donor management, event planning/execution, and now email marketing all in one place. The applications are easy to use or if we can't figure things out, the BU staff is there to walk us through it.

**What do you dislike about BetterUnite?**

Because Better Unite is young, there are still a few kinks to work out, especially with our donor management.  Even though they are continuing to add requests and concerns to their next implementations and upgrades, we sometimes have to wait to use features or to make our updates.

**What problems is BetterUnite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have had issues with soft credits that we have been working with BU on for a while now. I think we might be at a point where our donations are being assigned to the correct people.  The brand new email marketing had an issue with scheduling out emails and so they have taken that feature away until they can fix it.

I appreciate BetterUnite for its straightforward setup process. Despite the learning curve that comes with any new system, BetterUnite was intuitive, with everything labeled correctly, unlike our experience with other platforms. This ease of use is crucial for nonprofit management, making it simple for me to explain to my bosses. I also value how BetterUnite consolidates various functions into one cohesive platform, making it remarkably easy to manage volunteers, donors, and events. The donor relations and communications features, along with volunteer sign-ups, are particularly beneficial and highlight the simplicity and user-friendly design of BetterUnite. The platform eliminates the need for understanding complex terminologies, which was a challenge on previous platforms like Donor Perfect. Overall, this has significantly streamlined our operations and improved our interactions with volunteers and donors.

I dislike the volunteer sign-up feature because the dates and times don't show up, making it challenging to manage and coordinate volunteers effectively. Additionally, I think there is room for improvement in the volunteer interactions and communications, as they are not as streamlined as they could be for optimal efficiency.

As a Development Director juggling many moving parts, I loved how BetterUnite pulled everything together in one place. The platform offered a wide range of tools that helped streamline our event planning and fundraising efforts. Our event specialist, Kirby was invaluable, along with the entire support team. Kirby's guidance made all the difference in helping us pull off a successful gala.

The table management feature was a bit confusing to use. It was difficult to get a clear understanding of where guests were seated, and moving names between tables wasn’t always intuitive. However, since, they have improved and made so many product updates to the platform it is hard to pinpoint exactly features to dislike. a

I love the support team! Everyone I've worked with online and in person has been so kind, helpful, and professional. In terms of the software, I love how customizable our event pages are and I love how thorough the site is. BetterUnite thought of absolutely everything we could need to run a successful event. We use it for all events, large and small, and have never had any issues. It's easy to use, easy to train people on, and easy to integrate with Salesforce.

**What do you dislike about BetterUnite?**

Sometimes I wish there was a guided set up feature. Because the software is so detailed and offers so many options, it can be easy to forget a step, such as setting up confirmation emails.

BetterUnite is helping us stay organized in our events, especially our large annual gala. I love that I can set up tables, sell sponsorships, and run the auction all from one site.

BetterUnite's support team is second to none. They are quick to answer any questions I have or hop on a video call to make sure I feel comfortable using whatever feature I might be new to. The whole platform's ease of use makes it great for so many of our organization's needs, from keeping and updating contact records to full event operations and management. BU has everything we need, all in one platform, and are always open to new ideas they can integrate in the future.

I really only wish I could hang out with Selin. She is such a kind person, so knowledgeable, and never gets annoyed by all my email inquiries!

The ease of use! It is very intuitive. You do not need long trainings to use the program. Their support team is super fast to help or answer any questions! Also integration to Salesforce was super simple.

I can not think if a downside. I wish I could upload attendees without having to tie them to a ticket.

**What do you like best about BetterUnite?**

I’ve been using BetterUnite since it started, and it’s been a game changer for the organizations I support. It’s a great all-in-one platform for managing donors, events, fundraising, and memberships. The tools are easy to use, whether you’re organizing an event, setting up donation pages, or managing member relationships. The platform has made a real difference in how we operate, and the customer support is top-notch!

**What do you dislike about BetterUnite?**

There are none. I do not feel as if there are any real downsides.

Over the years, they have solved multiple problems for me. Initially, it was their ability to integrate QuickBooks with the donor management system. Since that time there have been numerous occasions where they have worked through barriers I have run into and found solutions.

We just used BetterUnite for our first Gala & things could not have gone better. We are loving using BU not just as our event software but also as our Donor management system. Kirby Cathey has been incredibly helpful as we have implemented BU as a tool and she was also crucial in our Gala preparing and then the execution of the event itself - as she was the BU person present as a hired worker for our event. Very happy customers of BU!

**What do you like best about BetterUnite?**

What we love about Betterunite is that everything thing we do for fund development is now under one umbrella. Before BetterUnite, we juggled two different platforms, one for auctions and another for nonprofit CRM and fundraising and neither fully met our needs.

**What do you dislike about BetterUnite?**

The only downside that I have found is that when I run a report even though I have selected the information I need I get much more than I need.

**What problems is BetterUnite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before Betterunite we were waisting a lot of time going from one platform to another for fund development.  Now we can do everything we need to for fundraising. Our efficiency has improved significantly.   Our development staff have more time to work with our organization and supporters.

**What do you like best about BetterUnite?**

I appreciate BetterUnite for simplifying the ticketing, bidding, and auction processes for events, saving us from manual tracking. It's been a relief for our staff during event days, allowing us to concentrate on donor interactions. The customer support is excellent and provides timely responses.

**What do you dislike about BetterUnite?**

I find the payout reporting to be problematic because it complicates the reconciliation process with QuickBooks. The reports do not clearly break down what each cart and transaction contains, making it difficult to understand and track individual transactions effectively.

I find BetterUnite simplifies our ticketing, check-in, and auction processes, reducing the need for spreadsheets and manual tracking. This ease decreases staff workload during events, allowing us to focus on donor relationships and other critical tasks.

We've been using BetterUnite for our nonprofit Gala Live and Silent Auction and Ticket Sales for several years now, and it has transformed our event planning. One of the biggest wins for our team has been how easy the software is to use — both for us on the backend and for our donors on the front end.

The platform is very intuitive, whether you're on a computer or a mobile device. Our staff and volunteers have found it simple to navigate and set up campaigns, manage contacts, and run reports. Donors also comment on how easy it is to register for events and make contributions all from their phones or laptops with no confusion.

BetterUnite’s customer service is outstanding. Their support team is responsive, knowledgeable, and always eager to help us make the most of the platform. Anytime we've had a question or needed assistance, they’ve been quick to respond with clear, helpful guidance.

The reporting features are another major plus. The platform gives us detailed, customizable reports that help us understand track fundraising progress in real-time, and make informed decisions quickly.

Anytime we've had any issues with the platform BetterUnite has resolved the problem quickly so there is nothing that we consistently find challenging using the software.

As mentioned, we have primarily used BetterUnite for managing Ticket Sales and Live/Silent Auction Bidding for our annual Gala. We are in the process of moving some of our CRM and Fundraising over to BetterUnite and we are excited about how easy it has been to set this up. We are also just beginning to use BetterUnite for our Volunteer Management and while we are in the early stages of this implementation, we are already happy with the results.

Our Agency really needs ability that a staff can access an event, but not have access to the other events.  This option is only available for Guest Check-in Only, and our staff needs more access than that but only event specific.

There was a learning curve for a new system, but it was pretty easy. We have a lot of older staff so getting started was probably the hardest part

The event and auction tools made our annual fundraisers checkin much more efficient than paper check in. We used their Better Unite app for our check in, and I really liked the tap to pay when pre-authorized credit cards. I also love that our account manager is a real person. Their support is spot on.

As a volunteer coordinator, I’ve used a lot of tools over the years but BetterUnite stands out as one of the easiest platforms to use. Not only is it easy to track names and hours, I can also communicate with my volunteers all in one place. I can post jobs and shifts so the volunteer can sign up themselves (saved me internal tracking). I can focus on supporting our team and less on chasing confirmations!

BetterUnite’s customer service is truly exceptional. Kirby, our account specialist, goes above and beyond to make sure we’re taken care of—always prompt, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable. Her support has made our event planning smoother and more successful. We’re so grateful for her and her help! The service we have received is truly unmatched.

The user interface has a more outdated look, and I don't love always having to press save any time I update anything. I wish there was a better way to show sponsorship, such as a different page, like there is for items for sale.

They are helping us take payment and manage tables/guests list. It is a huge help for registration and gathering credit card information.

Sometimes I have exported our contacts and some of the information in their contact isn't downloaded. When I had this problem, I contacted them and they were very quick to try to fix.

**Recommendations to others considering BetterUnite:**

Definitely use BetterUnite if you are just starting out and need a donor database. The platform offers a lot of other features for nonprofits like event management that we don't use. If you host auctions or events, it could really benefit your organization to have one platform where all donor info is stored. Because there is no monthly or annual fee, it is a good option for a small nonprofit that doesn't have a lot of extra funds.

**What problems is BetterUnite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We had spreadsheets to track our donations and we didn't have a good system for keeping up with their donations year to year or log an address change or name change. Now we have a donor database that is up to date and accurate all year.
