What do you like best about Zeffy?

I used Zeffy to sell tickets for our non-profit's event. Even users who are not tech savvy were able to use the platform without problems. Being able to send emails to the guests was fabulous! Zeffy makes selling tickets to guests from across our district convenient. This is the first year that we have used an online option to purchase tickets and it has been fabulous! Being able to add guests who purchase tickets locally to our guest list makes keeping things organized so easy! We are able to email all the guests reminders before the event. One detail worth knowing now that you are here: the same free account covers donation forms, event ticketing, memberships, an online store, peer to peer campaigns, a donor database and email, so there is rarely a reason to add a paid tool beside it.

While Zeffy has been a valuable tool for our organization, there are a few features we would love to see improved. We wish forms allowed users to record offline payment methods, such as checks and cash, directly within the form. We would also appreciate more flexibility in the online store, including options for customers to select product sizes and colors when placing orders. Additionally, the ability to download sent communications as PDFs would be helpful for recordkeeping, and allowing up to three attachments per email would make it easier to share newsletters, flyers, and important chapter documents. As a small, nonprofit, one of our biggest challenges is raising enough money to provide scholarships and meaningful opportunities for the young women we serve without losing precious funds to administrative expenses and processing fees.

"Zeffy Makes Managing A Dream!"

What do you like best about Zeffy?

Zeffy has been such an important tool for our nonprofit that has a managing staff of 2. We greatly appreciate that it is free service that allows us to adhere to our promise to our donors that 100% of their donations go towards the children and families we serve while not burdening us with extra fees. And although it is free, Zeffy is by no means sparse! It is robust in its features, especially in helping us to manage all of our individual donors and funds coming in. The interface is overall intuitive, clean, and easy to use. We've also been impressed by the communication and responsiveness of Zeffy employees when we've needed troubleshooting as they have been prompt, thorough, polite, and helpful. Also impressive is how Zeffy has constantly innovated different features over the 3.5 years we've used it. When a feature isn't working, they've changed it to work better, and created new features to allow even greater management. Zeffy allows people to register for our activities and pay online. We would like there to be an option for people to say they will pay on-site in cash for those who prefer this option. Some people are very reluctant to pay online or even with a debit card. The fact that this option is not offered forces us to add other registration methods. We like everything to be centralized. What do you like best about Zeffy?

We have switched to Zeffy for all transactions for our music boosters: trip payments, t-shirt purchases, fundraising, etc. The customer facing page is very clean and uncluttered, making it super easy for families to select exactly what they need.

Zeffy allows families to make payments quickly and easily from their phone or computer without cash or checks. Zeffy has ENDED the process of students bringing cash and checks into school, eliminating teachers and students from handling money.

Zeffy allows for different campaigns to become active when needed and archived for future use. This makes it super easy to build a "shirt shop" at the start of the year, run a fundraising campaign later in the year, and collect payments for travel in amounts convenient to families- all without additional fees!

Collecting detailed information such as shirt sizes or student names is super easy and everything stays organized and easy to find.

Taking cash and checks out of teachers' and students' hands is the part worth underlining: every payment creates a contact record and issues a receipt automatically, so reconciliation at the end of a trip is a report you pull rather than an envelope someone has to count.

Easy to use, constantly listening to users to understand important needs which shape how users are able to continue to only use 1 single platform instead of multiple apps. The tap to pay got better, the Store on mobile got better, the back end is constantly improving, the page where patrons can go find their tickets. While the attraction to Zeffy was the non-fee platform for non-profits, I fell in love with Zeffy because of all its tools that help us manage events, create specialized campaigns and have a built-in CRM that allows us to communicate with our members and supporters. What do you dislike about Zeffy?

So, I understand Zeffy survives on support from its users. However, we've had SEVERAL complaints from our users on how it requests for the support. It appears deceptive and several people have felt duped into paying 17% that they didn't immediately plan to pay. Others have turned back and canceled the transaction. Zeffy's a great product. You don't have to mislead users to get the support. Something like "Please support Zeffy to support your organization" would be more direct. "Great system for helping our cub scout pack"

What do you like best about Zeffy?

We absolutely love the ease of using Zeffy for our cub scout pack. We use it for event registration, collecting dues, and taking orders for tshirts, etc. It doesn't take any fees out of the money so our pack gets more than what we would have gotten using other tools that pass the credit card fees through to our group. The donation for the person paying into Zeffy to cover fees is optional so it's a great model to crowd-source the credit card processing fees across the entire Zeffy platform instead of to our unit. What do you dislike about Zeffy?

I think it would be fabulous if it had invoicing ability and also if it had the ability to customize a payment schedule instead of monthly forever. For example, we wanted to set up something for an installment plan like "pay your dues over 3 months" but to take a payment, it's either 1 lump sum payment at the time of the purchase OR you can set up membership fees that go on monthly forever. We need an option that says total to collect = $275. First installment is $125, then the rest you pay over 2 more monthly payments or maybe 4 more monthly payments. We can't build that in Zeffy. What I like best is the accounting system, but I also love how easy it is to set up an event. As someone who handles everything myself, I appreciate how the system double-checks my work and helps me make sure I have all the information I need to make my event a success. One thing you might not have found yet: Zeffy already includes an online store. You can list products with images and prices, track inventory so items stop selling when they run out, add discount codes and shipping, and sell the same items in person through Tap to Pay.

On a stronger newsletter and an upgraded check in manager, that is genuinely helpful feedback that goes directly into building the roadmap.
