"Family Engagement at a Record High!"
What do you like best about ParentSquare?

Due to the ease of use of the platform, the amazing translation features, and the ways we can reach families in multiple modes (text, app, and email) we are at an all time high of family engagement in our district. Our students and families are more engaged, know where to find information, and have one place to turn to for details about their questions. ParentSquare truly has been the best solution for all of our communication needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ParentSquare?

There is very few things that we dislike about ParentSquare. The one component, which we are told is coming soon, is read receipts on messages to parents. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Communication Barriers Make ParentSquare Challenging. Honest review by a teacher-user."
What do you like best about ParentSquare?

The posts feature, particularly the studio editor has been a great improvement over our previous system of contacting parents via the message center on Skyward.

Here are some things I like about ParentSquare, particularly posts using the Studio Editor:

1) I can create a template I can use over and over again.

2) I can insert photos and links to both websites, PDFs and other files.

3) I can see the data on who had viewed and interacted with the post.

4) I can share a link to the specific post.

5) If a student enrolls in my class after the school year has started, families can still see previous posts from earlier in the school year (ie- beginning the year information, etc)

Some other features I like:

1) Room parents can be added to communicate with families

2) There is a signup feature that replaces the need to use Signup Genius Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ParentSquare?

I am really experiencing a lot of barriers in communicating with families on ParentSquare. As I have been trying to use the platform with fidelity (particularly to message parents, instead of emailing them), I experience barrier after barrier in this form of communication.

Here are some challenges I am experiencing with the message feature on ParentSquare (specifically Group Messages):

1) I cannot save a draft message (however, this is an option with posts)

I cannot "schedule send" a message (however, this is an option with posts). This is a valuable feature I've used in emailing because I can respond to messages "after hours," but parents don't know that I'm emailing them "after hours."

2) I cannot mark a message as unread (I typically do this when I want to remember to go back and respond at a later time)

3) After a parent sends me a message, I cannot add someone to include in the message (ie - counselor, case manager, etc). This is a feature I use with nearly every email that a parent sends me. I also can't "bcc."

4) I cannot format a message with underlines, highlights, bolds, italics, etc. I often use these features to help organize information and bring attention to important details. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Communication and Seamless Integration with ParentSquare"
What do you like best about ParentSquare?

ParentSquare is super easy to use. Adding students to a group automatically adds their guardian contact, which is great! Our integration with ProgressBook is great, and the information is acurrate. Our implementation team providied superior support, which made the transisition smooth. ParentSquare is used daily throughout the distrcit! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ParentSquare?

So far we have not run into anything inside ParentSquare we don't like. It was such a drastic change in a positive direction from our old platform, that we totally satified as it is. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"ParentSquare Gets Communication Right for K12 Schools"
What do you like best about ParentSquare?

ParentSquare has significantly improved how our school communicates with parents. Right from the start, the support and onboarding process were outstanding, which made it easy for everyone to adjust. The platform offers features such as secure document delivery and automated notices that are both user-friendly and efficient. I am impressed by how quickly we managed to integrate everything ParentSquare has to offer within just one marking period. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ParentSquare?

The only issue we run into is self-inflicted. Groups can be a little tricky if students are from multiple buildings. This wouldn't be an issue if our 9th grade students were in our high school or if our SIS handled things a little differently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"ParentSquare: The Ultimate Hub for Seamless School Communication"
What do you like best about ParentSquare?

ParentSquare has greatly improved our communications, especially after we received a complaint from OCR. Now, everything we need—forms, emails, one-on-one messaging, payments, and more—is conveniently located in a single central hub. When our district faced a complete network outage that lasted several days, we relied solely on ParentSquare as our only way to communicate. I truly cannot say enough positive things about ParentSquare! Also you will NOT find better Customer Service anywhere else. ParentSquare LISTENS to OUR needs! "Don’t let your school use ParentSquare"
What do you like best about ParentSquare?

There is little to like from an end user perspective. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ParentSquare?

ParentSquare floods parents with nonstop noise and gives almost no real control over what comes through. The notification settings are awful, so you either get spammed with constant alerts or miss important updates. The interface feels chaotic, older messages are hard to find, and basic things like fixing profile information often require contacting the school because the app won’t let you update it yourself. Other parents report the same issues along with confusing setup, poor support, and a general sense that the platform tries to do everything but doesn’t do any of it well. The idea is good. The execution makes daily communication harder, not easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fantastic Communication Platform with Powerful Premium Features"
What do you like best about ParentSquare?

This is an excellent communication platform that closely resembles social media, making it easy for a wide range of users to navigate. I also find its Premium features, such as Attendance Plus and Virtual Phone, to be particularly helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ParentSquare?

Securing buy-in from all stakeholders takes considerable effort, but ultimately, it proves to be worthwhile. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"User-Friendly App That Parents Love to Use"
What do you like best about ParentSquare?

It is easy for all users--parents have an app that feels like social media, so they are more inclined to use it. It helps both teachers and parents because there is a record of everything sent and received. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ParentSquare?

Honestly, our only issues come from parents having multiple accounts due to using several emails when registering students. I wish there was a way for PS to flag these due to common phone numbers, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Communication and Multilingual Support"
What do you like best about ParentSquare?

What I appreciate most is how easy it is to share information with our families in their own language. It's also reassuring to know when a parent has actually seen the message. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ParentSquare?

So far, I haven't come across anything I dislike about ParentSquare. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"I don't ever want to go back to life BEFORE ParentSquare!"
What do you like best about ParentSquare?

ParentSquare has cracked the code on something that's frustrated parents and school districts for years—bringing all those scattered communication tools into one usable, unified platform. And honestly? It's about time.

This platform does exactly what you'd hope: puts everything from emergency alerts and permission slips to parent-teacher conferences and sports schedules in one convenient spot. No more juggling five different apps just to stay connected with your kid's school life. For districts, the savings are real—both in money and sanity. Why pay for multiple systems when ParentSquare handles it all? For parents, it's the relief of finally having that one go-to place where you can chat with teachers, check practice times, and handle all those digital permission slips without the usual runaround.

The mobile experience is smooth, the interface makes sense, and it actually delivers on its promise of simplification. Parents love the convenience, teachers appreciate the streamlined communication, and administrators get the centralized control they need to keep everything running smoothly.

ParentSquare takes the chaos out of school communication and makes it MUCH more straightforward. It's one of those rare platforms that genuinely makes life easier for everyone involved—parents, teachers, and administrators alike. If your district is still managing communication through a patchwork of different tools, ParentSquare is definitely worth a serious look.

Sometimes the best solutions are the ones that make you wonder how you ever managed without them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ParentSquare?

Here's a problem you'd actually want to have: ParentSquare works so well that everyone wants to use it constantly. And yes, that can create its own unique challenge.

The platform's intuitive design and seamless functionality mean that teachers, administrators, and staff find themselves reaching for it throughout the day. The result? Occasionally, parents can feel like they're drinking from a fire hose of school communications. It's the digital equivalent of having too much of a good thing.

But here's the twist—this "weakness" has actually become one of ParentSquare's greatest strengths for forward-thinking districts.

When our district started experiencing this information abundance, it forced us to step back and completely rethink our communication strategy. We had to become more intentional, more strategic, and frankly, more respectful of parents' time and attention. The result? Our overall communication quality improved dramatically.

ParentSquare's ease of use essentially acted as a mirror, showing us where we needed to be more thoughtful about what we were sharing and when. We developed better messaging protocols, clearer priorities, and more purposeful communication cadences.

Having too much engagement is infinitely better than the alternative—parents who are completely out of the loop because communication tools are too clunky or fragmented to use effectively. ParentSquare's success in getting everyone actively communicating gave us the luxury of fine-tuning our approach rather than struggling just to get basic information across.

Sometimes the best platforms challenge you to level up your strategy. ParentSquare's "problem" of being too user-friendly pushed us to become better communicators, and that's exactly the kind of challenge that leads to real growth. When your biggest complaint is that your communication tool works too well, you know you've found the right solution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
