The designed functionality is great. I moved from ShipStation to StarShip becuase of the live rates in the checkout option. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Unfortunately, the printing of labels is unreliable and I often have issues I didn't have with ShipStation, or printing directly ex eParcel, or printing ex Sendle direct. I suspect they're releasing new features that breaks existing functionality, then have to patch the software after it goes live. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is very simple to use with its intuitive interfaces. The Shopify integration is fairly reliable and only rarely do I need to manually trigger an import to bring in missing orders. The workflow functionality for verifying products to pack prior to printing labels is very useful. It gives you the ability to create plain shipping labels for postage items that require stamps. The print client installed on the shipping desktop is reliable and doesn't crash as often compared to some other shipping applications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Inability to see product images on packing slips and order fulfilment screens. Apparently this was going to be released sometime around December 2023 but it is July 2024 and it still hasn't been released. Packing slip custom design interface is very painful to use. We use Starshipit daily and find the app integrates seemlessly with Shopify.
Find the ease of entering all relevant data for individual parcels quite simple. Then all specific shipping options are presented immediately in one place.

We run a lot of pre-order campaigns (with our products shipping out up to 6 months after the order). The 'archive' area only stores the labels for a few months; which means we have to manually search and restore each label when we want to process our shipments. This is a time consuming effort. Customer service is amazing, always available whenever there were issues and getting through the transition and the set up process was made far easier with quality support. We were hesitant about the admin requried to change our courier and software but it was only a couple of hours to completely transfer everything over. Getting the correct address verification and integration with Aramex. I think there needs to be a thorough integration and troubleshooting process to ensure the correct addresses are being entered on shopify and are verified correctly onto starshipit and through to Aramex. Incorrectly verified addresses for orders cost time, money and customer service and getting this right from the very start would have removed alot of the cost of changing over. Honestly the helpful start up call sold me. I had signed up to star ship it once prior and didn't get the same start up service. The service I got made me realise how easy it was to use. I needed it done FAST after our Black Friday Sale blew up bigger than expected. I was on a call the next day and set up that same day! I felt confident to use the platform which made the most difference.

You can only set 1 default sender's address - meaning if your pick-up address is different for some reason, you need to manually change it. When printing labels of different sizes (for example, domestic and international labels), you need to manually send to different printers - not a huge deal but would be convenient if it could automatically send to print to pre-selected printers.
When printing the packing summary, would be nice to be able to order it by a particular feature like SKU or Size as it is currently random (our inventory is ordered by size so it does make picking a bit of a pain). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
