I like that MYOB helps remove a lot of manual, repetitive, and error-prone finance tasks, which is a big relief for me. I appreciate MYOB for providing a centralized system for invoices, bills, payroll bank data, and reports, keeping everything in one place instead of scattered spreadsheets or manual files. I also find the process where I go to the Purchase Order, make adjustments, and pay the bill when the invoice is received, to be particularly effective. Having used Xero and MYOB, to me it seems to be not as user friendly as Xero and doesn't have as many options. One think I particularly dislike is that contacts have to be either a customer or a supplier, which means you have to make them as one of each if you ever want to sell them something and buy something off them - which can happen in various situations I encounter at work. Xero doesn't differentiate so a contact is a contact, regardless of whether you buy from or sell to them. Another irritation is that Xero has a readily available Account Transactions report, where you can pick one or more P & L accounts and see what transactions are in it for a given time period. MYOB kinda has it but you have to go looking, and the results come up in their standard pop-up windows. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
