"The basic MYOB system is great for small businesses"
What do you like best about MYOB?

The basic MYOB is great for small businesses where it is easy to navigate and use for an ERP system

Larger businesses need to update to higher and more complex versions of MYOB which can be designed for the business needs.

MYOB is easy to use with training.

There is a good support team available if you need help

Setting up MYOB is straight forward as long has you follow the instructions

MYOB can be integrated with outside payroll and excel reporting

Depends how many times you use MYOB in the day it is reliable and can have more than one user Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MYOB?

All ERP systems have their issues in the way the information is presented or ways of processing data, but when using the ERP system for a while these issues are miniscule has you know what to avoid and if a problem does occur you know how to fix it Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"I have been using MYOB since last one year for bookkeeping and payroll."
What do you like best about MYOB?

The report section of MYOB is very easy and familiour. By clicking on any report we can see detailed report, also we can customise as per requirement. And interface of report is easy to understand. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MYOB?

In MYOB there is no function for find recode as Xero have. Also while preparing finalization it is quite complex to go back to customised report. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"MYOB seems like it's a spreadsheet that they tried to turn into an app."
What do you like best about MYOB?

The graphs on the dashboard are good as a quick overview of how your organisation is going. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MYOB?

Having used Xero and MYOB, to me it seems to be not as user friendly as Xero and doesn't have as many options. One think I particularly dislike is that contacts have to be either a customer or a supplier, which means you have to make them as one of each if you ever want to sell them something and buy something off them - which can happen in various situations I encounter at work. Xero doesn't differentiate so a contact is a contact, regardless of whether you buy from or sell to them. Another irritation is that Xero has a readily available Account Transactions report, where you can pick one or more P & L accounts and see what transactions are in it for a given time period. MYOB kinda has it but you have to go looking, and the results come up in their standard pop-up windows. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"MYOB Review - Upgrade AccountRight to Business Lite"
What do you like best about MYOB?

MYOB was good before but they havent updated it, Just increased the pricing.

Looking at the market products and pricing of products like quickbook and Xero Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MYOB?

Pricing - It's getting too expensive, Hence I cancelled my MYOB Accountright subscription and switched to Online Business Lite.

It was very problematic as I wanted to switch to Xero but there were lot of complication.

Heard lot of good review about Xero

Support has been terrible to get in touch with. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Painful software left behind in a modern era."
What do you like best about MYOB?

There's really nothing to like about this software that was written years ago and dragged kicking and screaming into the modern era. If the developers had committed to going entirely online instead of this partial online/offline hybrid approach, then perhaps this would be a different review. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MYOB?

It's not possible to use the online version for everything an SME requires. Instead, you have to use a version only available on Windows. And when you do dig out that old Windows machine, the software won't work as it's out of date. Then it won't upgrade itself, so you have to completely uninstall it and reinstall it again. How come it has to be so difficult? Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Should be called "Open Box""
What do you like best about MYOB?

It is customizable and therefore can be use for multiple applications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MYOB?

That you need to know what you want and then figure out how to get it. Not for beginners. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Excellent Software"
What do you like best about MYOB?

MYOB controls all of the costs and accounts in business and able to get a snapshot of how the company doing at any time. It is a useful tool for paying wages and issuing payslips and keeping tabs on sick pay, holiday pay, and personal leave accrual as well. All of my superannuation is also recorded directly to the ATO. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MYOB?

Wages sometimes need to be corrected as the time sheets do not pull through correctly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
