What is Odoo CRM?

What do you like best?

My favorite thing about Odoo CRM is the clean interface and the integration with the rest of Odoo software. Most business software has an interface that looks like windows 95, which really can be hard on your eyes, and time consuming to use. Odoo has a very clean and aesthetically pleasing interface that makes it significantly easier to use. It may sound like a small thing, but with most CRM software providing the same basic features, a good interface really makes a difference. The integration with other packages also makes for a smooth experience. The connection with accounting, sales, and even manufacturing make cross department integration very easy and bug free. What do you dislike?

The only thing I don't like is the lead generator. It is a system where you can purchase credits to buy leads. It uses information about your company, and has some sort of database of companies it pulls from to give you leads. They claim it should match you up with viable leads that might be interested in your product, but we used the free credits that came with our subscription to test it out, and it was absolutely worthless. What do you like best?

All contacts and company information at hand in one app (the free contacts app), this combined with the CRM app gives you have a great overview on what is going on a sales level in your company. Visual overview what proposal is in what sales phase and the forecasted value of all or each quote.

The ease of using several apps all integrated with eachother.

No matter where you are as long as you have an internet connection you can use Odoo, but they also have offline possibilities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

It takes some consultancy to make a complete history of your contacts. The possibilities with these apps seem a bit overwhelming and it is not so easy to get to know all the features that will contribute to your business. Nevertheless they have a great support and consultancy team to assist you.

What do you like best?

Odoo is the best CRM out there to support all kind of businesses. I was able to export Odoo CRM to Google Sheet with live sync connection and then use Google Sheets for the analysis. It was an awesome experience. Moreover, Odoo Studio is also a complimentary tool for the Odoo CRM which can help you customize the CRM form as you like. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

The platform and the way we control leads are the best part of the Odoo application. Users can control leads in same screen and check all the story behind the negotiation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

one thing really powerfull is the posiibility of sending directly email to customers/providers/ different entities from Odoo directly.

for example my company uses Odoo mainly for billing and it's really pwerfull and helpufull to have the possibiloty to check billing adn send invoice directly from Odoo to may customers.

ODOO is not so user friendly and getting to a certain task could be very tricjy sometimes.

interface is not so agile and easy so you cpould get lost very easily

What do you like best?

Reporting is abysmal and unuseful. Saving favorite searches does not function as intended. Notification system is a mess.

We wanted to streamline all of our internal operations into one platform. We chose Odoo because of the breadth of modules offered. It has satisfied that need at the sacrifice of functionality for CRM and Sales. Overall, the most negatively impacted department in our company was sales and migration of data (we're nearly 2 years into using Odoo and still have yet to put all our back orders in). What do you like best?

CRM is fast and reliable hosting in the Enterprise SaaS. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

Reports do not work out of the box, you will need a Python expert, or pay $1000 a day to remove the brand promotion that is everywhere in the application. No real documentation or resources. The core apps work OK - CRM, Accounts, Inventory. The functionality of others is limited. Website app does not support CSS or HTML code changes, if you want ODOO support for upgrades. There is a promotional message on every email that is sent from your instance of ODOO. You cannot remove this message without paying more money, and paying every update to maintain your customization, so every year budget for a success pack. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

You will need support - lots of support, we are 5 users, 100 hours in two years. Price the support costs, these will be at least double the cost of the software. You must accept that "Powered by ODOO" will appear everywhere - your website, your emails etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

It works at a very basic level. The incorporated Brand Promotion means this is not ready for prime time. We use the ODOO Enterprise SaaS version v13.0 , so thisis the paid version from ODOO. The community version, self hosted, with a good Python partner may be a choice for you, it will certainly be less expensive. Budget on paying about 100 hours support in 2 years, for 5 users - and you will still have lots of issues and continue to promote ODOO with every email. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

Customization. It is easily extendable. However, all those 3rd party modules for Enterprise solutions do not work, the service the most of them that provide is awful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

I appreciate the built in reporting and metrics. Odoo is incredibly easy to use as a CRM out of the box, and I haven't found a function I need that Odoo hasn't been able to handle for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

I suppose the system could be more robust out of the box as a CRM BUT you can customize it anyway you want if you have the "studio" module, so this isn't really as much of a major concern if you really need the customization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

IT is simple CRM that can be self implemented Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

It doesn't monitor emails in 3rd party services like Gmail or Office. You have to use their email service (in the chatter) that most users won't adopt. To integrate to 3rd party app but they don't have the same level of functionality versus Copper, Salesforce, Pipedrive, Hubspot, etc.

It has been super helpful in reducing the amount of time we spend with data entry. We used to have a separate customer contact database and have to also load their information into QuickBooks upon making a sale. We save a ton of time now. It’s all in one system. What do you like best?

I love the amount of data that we are able to track and analyze in this app. After being able to add extra fields and track through the dashboard, many decisions can be made on the fly. What do you like best?

Very flexible software. As open-source, it allows many customizations. Philosophy of ODDO CRM reminds me of Android smartphone. If you need any functionality, you just look for the appropriate apps in ODOO or other developers. All of that gives fast and relatively cheap development and customization.
